I like how this book left enough unsaid that you had to either figure it out for yourself or skip ahead and find out later what was going on. If you're not new to programming, you can skip the first chapter and go straight to the second. I skipped to the second chapter and used the first chapter as a resource when needed. There were a few errors in the book.

Comments: The official book made by Apple. I believe this is by far the best resource one can get for iOS development (after trying 2 other different books). It can make you a confident iOS developer!

I recognize the challenges involved... how do you write a single tome that will walk the novice through the steps, how do you accommodate tools that are rapidly changing, and do enough regression testing so that examples still work perfectly, and best practices are taught alongside workarounds and API quirkiness? It’s hard. You’d need a big, dedicated team.

Ultimately this book is not any better (or worse) than any other guide to learning any programming language... like freeCodeCamp or a paid online course, it succeeds and then it fails. It is quite good in parts, but you’d expect it to be an authoritative, perfect Bible, and it is not.
