His Rules is by Dani Wyatt. This is the second book in the His series, a collection of six books by six different authors. This is the first book I’ve read by Dani. I’ve had her book, Wrangler, on my list for some time. I love that lately I’ve been reading so many new authors. It’s been forcing me to go outside of my box a little bit.
Lexi is a twenty-three year old waitress who works at Moe’s Loud Vegan Deli. Lexi has had a hard time of it growing up and has made a few mistakes. She has three misdemeanors against her and is on probation. She has been given a mentor from a program that is supposed to help her get her life back on track. Enter Rueger, a man that has fueled her fantasies ever since she first laid eyes on him. She’s sure a successful businessman like himself would never think anything more of her than a public relations perk for his company. But the thoughts she has been having of him are far more than mentor, mentee type thoughts.
Lexi lost her parents early on and ended up in the system. She loves to swim but is awkward and clumsy on land. And she is obsessed with sloths. She loves sloths.
Rueger is nearly forty years old and has spent his entire career getting ahead, making money. Until he laid eyes on Lexi. It was the day his life changed. Rueger also grew up in the system. So he and Lexi understood each other as others couldn’t. He knew that Lexi was his future, she just didn’t know it yet.

I need to fully disclose here that I am not a huge fan of the whole daddy/baby girl scenario. This was what I was referring to above when I said that I was stepping a little bit out of my box. Both Rueger and Lexie are products of their pasts. Their needs are fulfilled in each other’s wants. And whether or not I cared for the daddy scenario, the sex was scorching hot. Lexi’s best friend Heather and Ricky were also fun characters to meet.
All in all, I did enjoy this and loved this authors writing style. I’m so glad I had the chance to read this and I most definitely want to read more by her.

I am not sure why the cover for this one isn't up on here yet since the big reveal was on June 1st. Hopefully, it will be updated soon. The cover is excellent in my opinion. It is sexy and a good representation of the hero. All the books in this series have similar covers, and they are all excellent with great composition and eye-catching typography.
Anyone that knows me knows that I LOVE DD/lg books and I personally think this author's best writing is when she ventures into that territory. I enjoyed this one. It was SMOKIN' HOT (my princess parts were happy campers). It was well written and nicely paced. Of course, it was very insta-everything. A tiny bit of angst/drama but no OW/OM drama. It had a couple of interesting side characters and two very likable main characters (neither virgins THANK GOD). All wrapped up in an OK epilogue. I would have liked to have seen a further look into the future with this couple. All in all, it gets two thumbs up from yours truly.

Super sexy read! It was really short but didn't lack any smexiness. I could have done without the little drama scene near the end but it didn't made me hate the book.

It was all a bit meh. An immature heroine and some OTT drama at the end... The rules... I donno. The beginning was quite good, yet the characters stayed flat and stereotypical...
Plus it went so far into Daddy kink where it stopped being appealing to me (probably because of heroine's immaturity).
Still will be reading other books in the series and see how that goes.

I love older man-younger woman books but not that into daddy-little girl thing. I mean, I do read and enjoy them if they are well-written. This story is a good one.
It's about Rueger and Lexi.
She's on probation for three theft arrest. She's working at a vegan deli as a waitress. It's his latest venture capital investment.
His company sponsors Count On Program and he's her probation project sponsor.
He's possessive when it comes to her. He's so obsessed! He even hired people to follow her and help her when he couldn't be there.
They wanted each other since the first time they saw each other but it took him two months to make a move.
It has a nice epilogue.

I've read several books by this author and with a couple of exceptions I've enjoyed them all.
Lexi Chase is a twenty-six year old sloth obsessed woman who's struggled since both her parents died nearly twelve years ago.
She has three misdemeanours and a probation mentor who's incredibly hot and sexy but completely professional and in the sixteen meetings they've had he's never shown any interest in her other than as her mentor.
Rueger is nearly forty, he's a successful business man with a lumberjack look going on and the second he sees Lexi for the first time he knows she's the one, the woman to complete him and so he started planning. He bought a house for them, a flat opposite hers so he could watch her, arranged for surveillance when he couldn't be there. Yes it's safe to say he's obsessed.
So this is a book for lovers of older man/younger woman with a daddy dom/daughter kink going on.
There's a good buildup as we get to know the characters a bit before they really come together. Once together it's scorching hot as you'd expect, Rueger knows exactly what he wants from Lexi and presents her with a list of very specific rules. It's been a long time (nearly twelve years) since anyone really really cared about Lexi and so this is perfect for her.
I enjoyed this book not sure about the purple sparkly sippy cup that might have been a step too far for a twenty-six year old woman but together these work and it makes for a hot read.

"His Rules" is the story of Lexi and Reuger.
Our hero is a big hunky daddy, who has one look at our heroine, becomes a full fledged stalker and decides to make her his baby girl and breed her.
Sweet age-play novella which can either excite you or creep ya out, depending on your kink. It was a mixture of both for me, because dressing up weirds me out.

I have become a fan of this "series" but this one... I kept cringing at all the "daddy" terms. This one just had way too much for my liking in comparison to the previous stories...

Definitely not for me!!.
If you like the daddy fetishism kind of read, a girl being spoken to or thought about in a way you could imagine some pervert speaking to a young girl then go for it but it was not enjoyable for me at all and I like books with lots of sexy scenes but these scenes made me cringe.

3.5 stars! quick read. short and sizzling story with true love!
the Dd/lg here was not bad. Rueger knows exactly what he wants, and thats Lexi. he wants Lexi to follow his rules (literally a list of rules) and be his good babygirl. the rest of the story was okay but i thought Lexi was being wayyy too paranoid. 3.5 stars for me!

This one was pretty short and fast pace :)
Lexi is our girl and she has or had some trouble with the law and now she's has a mentor who checks in on her time from time.. and our mentor is Rueger who is all about Rules he's also growly and dominate.. he's making sure she's taken care of.. but he doesn't push in that area of daddy no he's bying his time making sure she finishes the program before he makes his move. Even when he was gone he had his people keep an eye on his girl.. when he finally had the Ok nothing stopped him.. they had maybe one misunderstanding but once he told her it was allllll cleared up.
Tiny agnst, no ow/om drama, no cheating, slight secondary chara, slight drama, sexy times, no virgins

His Rules is the second book I have read in the HIS Collection. Whilst I enjoyed His Rules a lot more than I enjoyed His Obsession, it still wasn’t quite enough to blow my mind. At a push, I would give this a possible three-point-five star rating. However, that rating would be based solely upon a comparison with the prior story. I was disappointed in His Obsession because it did not feel like a full-length novel, thus receiving a complete story pleased me greatly.
Dani Wyatt is a name I see quite often. I keep meaning to pick up some of the author’s work to try. In fact, I have a couple of the author’s books sitting on my Kindle waiting for me to pick up. Although His Rules did not blow my mind, it was enough to show me Dani Wyatt can write a gripping story, and I’m certainly interested in jumping into the other Dani Wyatt books on my Kindle.
The story itself was gripping, and it kept me turning the pages. I was interested to see how things played out and enjoyed the dynamics between the characters, yet I felt as though the story wasn’t quite all it could have been. To me, it felt a bit rushed. There were plenty of enjoyable moments throughout, but it felt as though it was peppered with clichés that were not as smoothly introduced as they could have been. They popped up to move the story to the next point, without giving us the depth that I usually like. In part, this is a reflection of how picky I am when it comes to stories of this length. I wanted things to move slower, to be given a deeper insight, as a way to allow me to appreciate the story more.
Overall, it was more enjoyable than my prior read in the HIS Collection, but I still wasn’t crazy about this one. I’m thinking this collection was not for me. I’ll read more as I had more, but they’re not high up my to-read list.

Huge Dani Wyatt fan as many of you already know. This books was so sweet. I know, I know, a daddy & baby girl book being sweet….yes, is the answer. These two, sigh. Rueger (yeah, his name is da bomb) knows he wants her to be his baby girl from the first time he sees her in the Vegan Deli shop she works at. He is her probation officer per a program he started to help former foster kids with a mentor She got caught stealing things for people that didn’t have money, so they didn’t have to go without, even though she herself doesn’t have much money. She really is a total sweetheart. Rueger is always taking care of her, even before she realizes it. She’s a bit of a klutz and is literally always tripping over her own feet. Since she is a huge Sloth fan, he found and bought her band-aids….awe, it really is the little things.
I love Dani Wyatt’s sense of humor. My 17 year old says she has a soul color and a soul animal….pretty sure Dani Wyatt is my soul humor sister….yeah, totally made that up on the fly, but I really love and get her humor. I am pretty sure Lexi even talks about the Sloth being her soul animal, because they have trouble on land too. So damn funny.
Great book, if you love the daddy & baby girl books, then this is a must read for you. So, so sweet and the wedding....so damn sweet.

Dani Wyatt writes another hot one again! This is a daddy/baby girl story that is taboo and steamy! Rueger has a program for mentoring current or former foster kids. He is currently mentoring Lexi (He is her probation officer ) who is a former foster kid who is now on parole. Super steamy kind of "taboo" story with one of my favorite themes. The author definitely hit the mark and created a sexy, intensely erotic romance plot with a fast pace and very bold characters.
From page one, this book made me feel many things and the same time I anticipated the scene where the two of them will admit their feelings for each other and will "burn the sheets".
In addition, lots of hot scenes and many dirty dialogues between Rueger the sexy possessive/caveman hero and the sweet Lexi will wet many panties.. you ladies have been warned! I certainly recommend it and I'm looking forward to reading the next story the author will create!

His Rules by Dani Wyatt is one scorching hot Dd/Lg read. Dani Definitely didn't hold back when writing this read. This is the third book of the His Collection of reads that i have read and has been the longest so far. Reuger and Lexi's story is fast paced with undeniable connection. Reuger was definitely the ultimate Daddy Dom in the care and protection he provided for lexi even without her knowledge. He's been waiting so long for not realising it himself that when he decides he can't wait any longer he doesn't hold back. Lexi is a little shocked and nervous but also everything feels right with him that she submits easily for him making them both a happy Dd/Lg. They were perfect for each other and i loved this short smut fest!!
