Author Reina Torres has brought it to a new level! We live in a world where people see what they expect to see and ignore or demean the rest. But this story has brought to light (delightfully) a realm in which many delight in degrading and humiliating others because of. For many size is not a choice, but a lifelong obligation. It is what we are born with no matter how others see it.
This story approaches BBW to elevate, educate and praise the larger sized woman. It shows that no matter your size, you are beautiful inside and out and deserve to be happy and to find you are loved unconditionally. The fact that this author uses Fashion as her platform is amazing in she shows that no matter what, there will always be highs and lows even from those closest to us.
I love this story because it brings reality to our beloved fantasies, it gives our heroine a hero to save her from the dangers around her as well as from herself.
I recommend this story to ALL BBW & BBM AND ALL THOSE WHO LOVE AND SUPPORT THEM!!

Ms. Torres has elevated the playing field in shifter romance with this superbly written novel! Salvatore and Natale's story is sensual, suspenseful, romantic, has a HEA, great storyline dynamics, and well developed entertaining characters. She realistically addresses and compassionately the issues that BBW/M face in the world today particularly clothing lines. Well done. Loved it! I received an ARC and I am voluntarily reviewing the story.

Received a copy from Quirky Blind Date with a Book.
I haven't read a shifter book in a while. But this one makes me want to read more. While parts of the book were kind of predictable the story line is good. Good characters, great story flow. Plenty of drama. Overall it's a pretty good book.

A word of warning about this novel:
If you enjoy reading any and everything then you might enjoy this book, however, if you are like me and enjoy reading good writing, do not waste the $3 on this book. When it comes to writing I would like to think that I am not too snobby. I read romance novels all the time, so I have no issue with simple writing styles, I am not demanding to read the quality of Dickens everytime I read a book, however there are things that I feel are required to write a decent story and this book falls short in several of those places.
The first being character development. There is no substance here whatsoever. This book is the first in what I presume will be a trilogy because it centers around three brothers, or it is supossed to. However, the dynamic and background of these men is filled with holes. They are italian bear shifters that came to America. That's about all you get, which is tragic because there is so much room for depth here. What was life like in Italy, why did they move to the US, how did they get into private security, what is the histroy between the brother's that caused the relashionship dynamics that are just barely alluded too? These are the kinds of things that give insight into the personality and behavior of the characters, and make you feel like you are getting a clear picture of who they are, but sadly they are not present in this book.
The second issue I have is that Torres does not take the time to really set up the setting here. This book is supossed to be the precusor to two or more books that all take pace in the same location and the same environment in which friends and family interact and live, and yet I have no clue where that is (other than New York city) or what the immediate world they live in is like. I have read so many other book series in which I felt as if I was being transported to a whole other place, experiencing life with the character's of the story. There have oftentimes been places that I really wished I could actually live in because they seemed so amazing, and I am not just talking about physcial description here. I just finished a book series set in New Orleans that had me wishing I was apart of the family experiencig THEIR New Orleans. Or the Nocture Falls series. I REALLY wish that was a real pace because they celebrate Halloween all year round and I would love to visit the different places that are so vital to the characters and storylines. And we all wish we could go to Hogwarts. . . The author's of those novels actually spent the time creating those worlds so vibrantly that it just sucks the reader in. This novel does NOT do that so it feels very dissconnected.
The last issue I have is a plot issue. I usually hesitate to remark on plot because I feel it is so subjective to what the author wanted to write/convey, and is part of their creative signature. However, in the case of this book I feel that the plot is so uninspired that it speaks more towards the author's creativity and ability to write a really interesting plot line. The premise of the book is great, a girl has a stalker so daddy hires a private bodyguard. It has so much potential, but then it just falls flat. There is no build-up to the "action," and the only two "action" scenes are IDENTICAL. I am not exaggerating. THE EXACT SAME. Evil cousin Caprice is mad because her fashion line was not chosen and decides to get revenge so she lures the heroine Natale(whose clothing line was chosen) into isolated places in which she is attacked. There is no build-up, or creativity, no deviation, or guessing invloved with what should be the FOCAL point of the story. In fact, the whole reason the book exists is to tell the story of how the shifter bodyguard keeps the heroine safe from her stalker, but that whole line of the plot is rushed and unimaginative. I have read many books with this EXACT same plot premise that were written much better than this one. Some of those author's had me on the edge of my seat, biting my nails with sky high blood pressure wondering when something was going to happen. Keep in mind they were still romance novels and contained PLENTY romantic elements, but the plot had way more substance than this one. And to make it worse, the "action" scenes were maybe two page swipes of my kindle paperwhite. They feel like such an afterthought, which is extremely dissapointing.
All in all this is more of an outline for a book that just needs to be fleshed out more. There are so many elements missing that could really make this a good story. However, it falls short of the mark. I do not recommend this, save the money. I am unlikey to finish the series or spend money on anything else by this author.

Guarding someone who is receiving threats is all part of his job, but bear shifter Salvatore Orsino is taken completely by surprise when he discovers his client is his mate. Keeping Natale Durante safe is his number one priority, however there's no reason not to try and convince her that they're meant to be together. Yet, Salvatore knows that pushing her to accept their bond isn't the way to go, so he does his best to remain patient. But with the threats becoming more dangerous, will Salvatore be able to keep Natale safe, or will he lose her before he can reveal the truth of his other half?
Branching out to writing a paranormal romance proves absolutely no problem for Ms. Torres, as she enchants and takes readers on a thrilling and exhilarating journey of suspense and romance in this story that I could not put down. The way this story started had me concerned for the heroine's safety and agreeing with the course of action Natale's father wants to take. She needs a bodyguard after the threats and there's no one better than those of Orsino Security. Yet, what I liked most about the start of this story was the moment Natale and Salvatore met. Both are taken by surprise because the hero is absolutely intimidating, and yet, Natale has no problem standing up to him and giving her opinion.
Both the hero and heroine were charismatic and I loved every moment they conversed. Natale is strong, brave, feisty, and I loved how much of a challenge she provided for Salvatore. He's supposed to be her bodyguard, and yet, there's no way she's going to adhere to everything he says, especially when she has work to do to get her fashions ready for her big show. I also like how accepting she was of Salvatore's dual nature, despite the scary moment where she learnt the truth of it. Then there's the opposition she faces from Salvatore's brothers. Luckily, she's not afraid to stand up for herself against them either, and I liked how she won them over.
While Salvatore, he's confident, protective and I loved how his bear challenged him to go after what they both want. Certainly, Salvatore had a fight on his hands when it came to his bear and making sure they didn't frighten Natale by introducing her to the paranormal world before she was ready. Then there's the way Salvatore stands up to his brothers when it comes to Natale. No way is he going to allow them to come between them, especially after the moment where she learns the truth.
Overall, Ms. Torres has delivered a wonderful read in this book that had the perfect blend of romance and suspense. The way this story ended had me concerned for the main characters, but didn't surprise me at all when it came to the person responsible for the threats. The person who did it was devious and had the dialogue to match their jealousy. However, what I liked most about the ending is how things worked out between Salvatore and Natale and I loved their words to each other, as they cement their relationship with Natale finally ready to make their relationship permanent. I would recommend Her Unbearable Protector by Reina Torres, if you enjoy paranormal romance or books by authors Celia Kyle, Mina Carter or Milly Taiden.

When the threats against Natale’s life and work escalated her father stepped in and hired a bodyguard for his beloved daughter. Salvatore, with his brothers, owned one of the best security companies around… which just happened to be run by bear shifters from Italy. What Natale thought she was agreeing to in a bodyguard who would sit on the sidelines and not bother her and what she got in the sexy, handsome, in her space Salvatore were two totally opposite things. And the really odd thing was that this stranger left her breathless, and her shape seemed to be besides the point of his attraction to her. She had a major fashion show to put on in days, her designs were the future of her father’s company, she was being threatened or stalked by some unseen person and she couldn’t fail or be distracted by this amazingly hot man. Tell that to her mind or her heart.
Salvatore knew who this lovely woman was within moments of meeting her… his bear knew as well. And although he would have given her the best protection money could buy under any circumstances, now she was his to protect for a different reason. His mate. His lovely, sexy, over stressed, oblivious to the danger she’s in… mate.
Her UnBearable Protector is a fast paced mystery, suspense, shifter romance that will easily capture your interest and attention. Natale and Salvatore are quite the match, stubborn, prideful, and did I mention stubborn. It’s not difficult to pick out the person behind Natale’s troubles, I don’t think it was intended to be deeply hidden. I often had the feeling that you get in movies where the audience is screaming at the screen “don’t do down in the basement”… but you know the character will. I wanted Natale to be far less trusting when things didn’t make any sense to her, to trust her instincts and not slip away from her bodyguard… but characters rarely listen to me.
I enjoyed my time in this world with interesting, deeply filled out characters, a good plot, and a sexual tension that flows off the page. The fun part is that this story is the start of a series, so the other brothers we met will also have their stories told and that I’m looking forward to. If you enjoy a mystery, one sexy couple, and a villain who defines nasty then this is a story that you’d enjoy. I’d recommend Her UnBearable Protector for any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader.

They are in the home stretch for a major fashion show that will be showcasing Natalie’s new line, Bellezza, that is designed for women of different sizes. This show is important to Natalie as a designer but also critical for the future of Durante House. I like how the author has a strong female character who is forward thinking in women’s fashion, wanting clothing that allowed a woman to feel beautiful on the inside as well as the outside. Natale is a curvy sexy woman with a vision.
Salvatore Orsino, along with his two brothers are Orsino Security, with each having their own expertise in making up the business. They also have a secret; they are bearshifters. From the moment Salvatore meets Natale, his bear is crying out that she is his mate. First, he must get her to take these threats seriously, and to allow him to keep her safe. Then to get through the week towards the fashion show, and then he can work on convincing her they were meant to be life partners.
The plot will have multiple threats against Natale, and the danger is real. Getting Natale to acknowledge the danger and accept the protection of Salvatore is not easy. Her stubborn streak and independence places her in danger several times. “You need to know, that this isn’t just a job. I would do anything to keep you safe, but it goes deeper than that.” How will Natale react when she witnesses Salvatore’s bear?

The technical stuff: This book is part of a larger series but it completely stands alone and DOES NOT end on a cliffhanger. There is very minimal cursing (no f-bombs), on-screen sex and some very quickly described violence. If those things are going to cause you leave a bad review, you should skip this one.
I don't read shifter books. Paranormal is just not a genre that appeals to me normally, but I am a huge fan of Reina Torres' writing so I decided to give this one a try and I am SO glad that I did. As usual, Ms. Torres has penned a book that stars two characters who instantly set off sparks when they meet and that smoldering sexiness never loses steam as the book goes on. Salvatore's intensity curled my toes, and I identified so much with Natale's inner thoughts that it made me want to hug her but when they're together? It's nothing short of swoon-worthy.

I don't read shifter books. Paranormal is just not a genre that appeals to me normally, but I am a huge fan of Reina Torres' writing so I decided to give this one a try and I am SO glad that I did. As usual, Ms. Torres has penned a book that stars two characters who instantly set off sparks when they meet and that smoldering sexiness never loses steam as the book goes on. Salvatore's intensity curled my toes, and I identified so much with Natale's inner thoughts that it made me want to hug her but when they're together? It's nothing short of swoon-worthy.

I give Her UnBearable Protector by Reina Torres five stars. This is the first book I have ever read that was written by Reina Torres and I loved it. This is a Paranormal Romance that includes a Bear Shifter. If you have never read a shifter book I would recommend this one you will absolutely love the main Character Salvatore. I felt the author had a great writing style and I feel it was a very well written book. Salvatore Orsino is a bear shifter that heads Orsino Security and has recently been assigned to protect Natale Durante. Natale works for her family business, Durante Fashion House, and is trying to get her new line of clothing that fit all shapes and sizes out to the public. There are many in the fashion business that do not agree with this new line. Salvatore is hired to protect Natale from whoever is sending her hate mail and threatening her. As soon as Salvatore takes one look at Natale he must fight off his bear who wants to claim her immediately. He is not the only one that feels an instant Natale feels it also. Is Salvatore able to keep the head-strong Natale safe or will he lose her before he can even claim her? You will have to read the book to find out! There is some violence but nothing in too much detail and there was some sexual content but I felt the scenes are very hot but tasteful. This book will give you the warm and fussy feelings we all love to have when reading a romance book and I feel it is a must read! Enjoy!

Natale Durante is my hero. She is a fashion designer who believes beautiful clothes should be worn by everyone not just stick people (my inappropriate designation)and she also happens to be a well endowed regular size woman. That feeling of egality is not shared by everyone and she received letters with crude comments and veiled threats. Her own cousin is very worried that the new collection of these sizes will diminish the reputation of their 100+ year old Durant Fashion House. Her father Giovanni's solution to the threats is to hire Orsino Security to protect his most precious resource which arrives in the persona of Salvatore, the oldest brother. We also get to meet Uberto and Valerio, his two brothers. I am not normally interested in fashion but the mystery of the origin of the threats and the process of planning a fashion show prove more interesting than I would have thought. This is not a book I would have chosen for myself but I like the author and took a chance on this ARC. I recommend this book and I want to read more about the Orsino Security company and the brothers.

(1/2 star for the all women’s body shapes are beautiful message!)
The book was a little bit awkwardly written. Some of the dialogue was hard to determine whose it was, which messed with the erratic flow even more. The character development wasn’t there. I really felt I didn’t know anything about Salvatore other than he is huge, has 2 brothers, is a bear shifter, & moved from Italy, for the most part. Then Natale, I only know slightly more about her. Neither character is memorable, I had to go look up their names to mention them here the day after I read the book.
There were some things that didn’t make sense, as other reviewers have pointed out already (like his sleeping thru anything was just weird for a body guard & her lack of care for her safety when there was a very real threat to her). The book overall was predictable, a bit cheesy, with the insta-Love that comes with shifters as a norm. The one brother was a bit too hateful with her, I couldn’t decide what to make of his attitude, but it was instant dislike of him for me. This was not enough to inspire me to read more in the series.

This is the first book in this series. I love shifter books and this one was not disappointing. Natale Durante is being threatened. Her family has been in the fashion business for decades. Her family’s fashion house needs a boost and her line was chosen to be their new line. Her father has hired security because of the threats and fashion week almost here. Salvatore Orsino was hired to protect her and with one look he knows he would give his life for hers. She is his mate. Natale isn’t happy about having someone follow her everywhere. She doesn’t have time for distractions. And she thinks that is exactly what Salvatore is. Not just because he is shadowing her everywhere but because of how attractive he is. The danger maybe closer than either of them know and come from a person no one what have thought of. Salvatore must protect Natale or chance losing her before he can ever claim her. This book was a great read. I look forward to reading more books in the series. The brothers are hot alpha males. Natale and her best friend Erika are great and so funny. They are more like sisters than friends. I highly recommend this book/series.

This is the first book I've read by Reina Torres and I will be adding her other books to my TBR list.
Her Unbearable Protector is the story of Natale Durante and Salvatore Orsino. She is a fashion designer and he is the head of his family's security firm. He is hired to protect her, she is a reluctant to accept his protection.
I don't normally read shape shifter stories and I received this book as a "blind date book" so did not know what I was going to be reading until I opened the first page. I was hesitant at first but I've got to tell you, I read this book in one sitting and thoroughly enjoyed it. Natale is an up and coming fashion designer who thinks out of the box and hopes what she creates will give her family's fashion house, Durante Fashion House, new life, hoping beyond hope that it doesn't destroy her father's company. But when her life is threatened, bear shifter, Salvatore Orsino, steps onto the scene, and everything she thought her life would be like changes in an instant. Will he be able to convince her that she's his mate and means everything to him? Will she even survive long enough for him to show her?
Another brilliant story by this author as she branches out into new terrain. It was filled with danger and romance, not to mention steam. It has her delightful flair and draws the reader in from the beginning. I was charmed and delighted, and I look forward to the next book in the series.

So she thinks the threats are from other designers who don't like the idea of changing the status quo of dressing only thin models. Her father is taking the threats seriously and hired a bodyguard.
Salvatore is a bear shifter who works in security. When he first sees Natalie, he knows she is his mate. His bear is urging him to mate her on the spot but he knows he needs to get to know her as well as neutralize the threat to her.
This is a great story involving all three brothers in Orsino Security. If you like strong bear shifters and smart sassy women, this story is for you. I am looking forward to reading another book from this author.

Amazingly sweet, suspenseful and HOT, HOT, HOT read.
There are sparks from the start between Natale and Salvatore that Natale tries to ignore. Salvatore recognizes her as his mate almost instantly. Now he just has to convince Natale.
Salvatore and his brothers have been hired to protect Natale and find who has been sending her death threats. Needless to say she is not happy her father hired security, as she can take can of herself, thank you very much. This thought process almost gets her killed.
I loved the way Reina introduced the concept of a shapeshifter in a story as told to her by her grandfather.
I will be on pins and needles waiting for the next story in this series.

I received an ARC via Quirky Blind Date With A Book Group and this is my voluntary review. I must start off by saying that this book is not my usual read but that's the whole point of a Blind Date. I actually found myself enjoying it and despite starting the book as soon as I received it today, I have literally just finished. I was completely engrossed from the beginning and fascinated by the Shifter aspect of the plot. I thoroughly enjoyed how the book progressed and the feel of suspicion as I read on. I must say though that I knew who the culprit was as soon as that character was introduced. Overall I enjoyed this book and would definitely recommend it to friends. I will also check out some more books in this genre.

3.5 stars. Loses a star due to heroines stupidity, TWICE.
This is a new author for me and a recommended read but if this is the caliber of her heroines I will not be continuing with her books. Have this and book two through KU so will read book two before making a final decision.
I was thoroughly enjoying this book when the heroine does a TSTL action and gets hurt.
The fact she totally accepted the blame and apologised went a long way to redeeming her in my eyes and I thought okay, back to a good story.
But then she does it again, goes off without her bodyguard and lo and behold, the baddie has planned it all out to get to her.
To add insult to injury she lets herself be hurt whilst being all sorry for herself about going off without protection. Worse, she has the means of protecting herself in her hand. WTH. Why didn’t she use it straight away.
Because of the fact Natale does it a second time I took away star. Part of the plot or not I hate stupidity in otherwise clever, articulate and sensible heroines.
Salvatore, oh my, a big hunky gorgeous specimen. Will be reading about the two brothers.

This my first book by Reina Torres and a lovely introduction of was. Bear shifters are my favorite shapeshifters. Ms. Torres Orsini Brothers are some of the best bear shifters I've encountered. They are almost to good-to-be-true, but that's what makes a bear shifter story special. The heroine Natale, sees herself as an everyday, average woman and is surprised when Salvatore Orsini calls her his mate. Hired to protect her from whomever is trying to destroy her, Salvatore must risk everything to keep his fashion designer mate safe. There is a lot of action in and outside the bedroom as Natale faces attacks on her life. Will Salvatore and his really attractive brothers be able to save her? I highly recommend that you read the book. Enjoy!

Her UnBearable Protector is a fabulous paranormal romance by Reina Torres. Natale is a designer and her father has hired a bodyguard for her against threats to her life. Salvatore was the oldest of the Orsino brothers and knows right away Natale is his mate. Before he can make her his forever, he must keep her alive and find out who is trying to harm her. Natale and Salvatore's story is packed with drama, humor, sexy bits, action and suspense. I enjoyed every page of this book and look forward to my next book by this talented author. Her UnBearable Protector is book 1 of the Orsino Security Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

A very sexy read. Sparks fly from the start with these two. This is a super-hot shifter romance. I like how the heroine doesn’t fit the “normal” size of the model/fashion industry. She’s confident, a go getter, and takes charge of her life. The intense attraction from Salvatore just adds to her confidence and she can be herself. Salvatore is a super sexy big bear/man of a hero. Well written, good plot, developed and interesting characters, with a combination of suspense and sexy romance to keep the reader involved. I’m not a fan of the shifter genre but I have enjoyed every book that Reina Torres has written and wanted to give this one a try. Glad I did! I really enjoyed it.

This book was totally out of my comfort zone. It was a captivating story. The characters are wonderful. Natale is such a kind and caring heroine. Salvatore is very magnetic hero. Salvatore is the love Natale never knew she could have. He totally fills her heart. Natale is dress designer and Salvatore is her body guard. Salvatore is her protector and he is a perfect book hero. This book totally drew me in from the first page. This is sexy fast paced romance. I cannot wait for Valerio and Allegra's story. I really hope Ericka has her own story with HEA. This is my favorite book to date from Reina.

Whew I am still trying to regain my composure from this read. I have enjoyed following this new author in the past and was thrilled to be around when she ventured into the paranormal shifter realm and to do it with a bear. . . huba huba. To make this book even more enticing she does it with us BBW's in mind and teases us with a designer that caters to the voluptuous full figured woman!! I am in love and I want this designer to be real. This book is fun and fabulous and sexy and so are the characters. Add in some intrigue and suspense and you come out with a winner and a book you have to read. Welcome to the world of shifters I can't wait for this author to bring us more.

Totally loved it!! It has romance, heat, suspense, and absolutely great back and side stories that make this an amazing start if a series. So please, keep it coming!!! Can't wait for the brother's stories!!! Natale is finally seeing her dream of having her own line come to life in Fashion Week, but threats ringer life are putting in jeopardy all her hard work. In comes the head of Orsino Security, Salvatore, to keep her out of harm's way, but as soon as he lays his eyes on her he knows she's his mate. But he has a big secret and he doesn't know if she can't handle it. But as proven, Natale is stronger than everyone thinks.
