Everyone wants revenge.
That’s what I tell my new would-be partner in crime, Sadie Scott.
“You’re crazy,” she says. “Certifiably insane.”
Just a little. But isn’t everyone a little crazy?
“And I’m gonna get the hell away from you as fast as I can.”
She’s so cute when she’s defiant.
“As soon as I get my memory back and figure out who I am.”
Yeah. That little problem is definitely working in my favor.
“So stay away from me, Thomas Brooks. Or I will…”
She’ll what? We’re perfect for each other and she knows it. But if she needs a little more convincing… Well, there’s a friend of mine she needs to meet.
He’s very convincing.
Yes, Sadie Scott, you’re mine now. We were made to be together.
Body, mind, and soul.
We were made to be together.
Just the three of us.
Together. Forever.

J.A. Huss never wanted to be a writer and she still dreams of that elusive career as an astronaut. She originally went to school to become an equine veterinarian but soon figured out they keep horrible hours and decided to go to grad school instead. That Ph.D wasn’t all it was cracked up to be (and she really sucked at the whole scientist thing), so she dropped out and got a M.S. in forensic toxicology just to get the whole thing over with as soon as possible.

After graduation she got a job with the state of Colorado as their one and only hog farm inspector and spent her days wandering the Eastern Plains shooting the shit with farmers. After a few years of that, she got bored. And since she was a homeschool mom and actually does love science, she decided to write science textbooks and make online classes for other homeschool moms. She wrote more than two hundred of those workbooks and was the number one publisher at the online homeschool store many times, but eventually she covered every science topic she could think of and ran out of shit to say.

So in 2012 she decided to write fiction instead. That year she released her first three books and started a career that would make her a New York Times bestseller and land her on the USA Today Bestseller’s List eighteen times in the next three years. Her books have sold millions of copies all over the world, the audio version of her semi-autobiographical book, Eighteen, was nominated for a Voice Arts Award and an Audie award in 2016 and 2017 respectively, her audiobook Mr. Perfect was nominated for a Voice Arts Award in 2017, and her book, Taking Turns, was nominated for an Audie Award in 2018. Johnathan McClain is her first (and only) writing partner and even though they are worlds apart in just about every way imaginable, it works.

She lives on a ranch in Central Colorado with her family.

This is such a cool series. I'm a big fan of superhero movies and can see this series played out like one as I read them. I love that this author writes hero's that are actually anti-hero's. They are a bit naughty and a little bit dirty...ok, a lot of naughty and dirty, but that's why we love them. Deep down they are good men you want to have on your side.

This group of Alpha's the Prodigy molded and sculpted are pretty powerful and it's fun to see them break the hold Prodigy has over them. I like seeing this huge plot that comes together in each book that will help them take down a powerful and evil company. A company of men and women who stole children to do their dirty work for them.

We got introduced to some new characters in this book that have me hopeful for more books in the series. I love all the new ways this author surprises me with her imagination of what these characters come up with and each twist and turn she takes us on. I will be waiting not so patiently for the next book. ARC provided by author.

Addicted!!! Yup, that’s the word I would use to describe what it is like reading a JA Huss book. In the literary world, where romance stories are getting saturated with the same type of trope or new fad, you can always expect Julie to give her readers something original, unique and that stands out on it’s own. So of course, not only does she gives us one of a kind book covers that grabs your attention but she gives us a superhero romance like no other.

Anarchy Chained is the third and concluding installment to the Super Alpha Series. It’s a bittersweet feeling to say goodbye to these cast of characters but I love the fact that they are going out with a bang all due to JA Huss’s creative style of twist and turns. With that being said, this book was full of mayhem and surprising turn of events that will shock and hold you hostage. Cathedral City will never be the same as JA Huss has us rooting for these super heroes. All I can say, expect the unexpected and Huss will deliver one mind-blowing book that will leave you saying MORE!!!!!

Anarchy Chained: Alpha Thomas is the third book in the SuperAlpha Series and although it might be the conclusion to this chapter of the story, make no mistake there is still more to be told.

From the very first book, Thomas has been this cold character. Emotionless... until Case happens and knocks Thomas through a loop, stripping him of his ability to close himself off to who he was altered to be. But since the end of Case’s book, we start off with Thomas locked away in an asylum, and a new heroine (or maybe anti-heroine) whose mission is all but forgotten when she gets her first taste of Thomas’s real power.

Now, I’m not going to say more about this story – because, for one, I’m still reeling and I’m honestly a little lost and a tiny bit confused. This is one of those books where it has to have time to sink in, marinate.

Going into a JA Huss story, I know a few things for certain. 1) It’s going to be a fantastic story, 2) I am not going to have a clue as to what is coming but when it comes, I’ll be blown away and 3) Nothing that you expects, happens.

With Anarchy Chained, I admit that I was utterly lost as to what was happening through about 99% of the story. I just went with it. I let go and put my trust into the author, knowing that I’d be told and explained the things I needed to know when the time was right. This certainly is not a story to read when you’re distracted, it will take all your brain power.

I loved the characters, I loved the twist to Thomas’s character and I adored Sadie. There was this toughness about her, but this also very genuine vulnerability that allowed me to give her my trust almost instantly. She was simply a pawn in a very twisted game. But there is this moment where I felt a bit of sadness well up inside me – it was short lived, as I got the answers to my questions a few chapters later – but man, did that mess with my head. Here I am lost in this crazy story, trying to hold on and pay attention and BAM, I get hit with emotions, and I’m probably just a sap – but I have a feeling that my reactions were because the author intentionally wanted me to feel like that. JAH is just that good at what she does.

So if you are on the fence about this series. If you are like, but I don’t like superhero movies, except for the eye candy – but I like romance and I like great stories – well check out this series. And as much as each book can be read out of order, I recommend sticking to the order of release (Lincoln, Case then Thomas).

Another stellar release from JA Huss, who proves that the heroes come in all forms, even a little villainous and all sorts of erotic.

Holy freaking $h*t! Mind officially blown! J.A. Huss, your mind is one fertile fu@king playground! What a way to end the series! This book had me on the edge of my seat the whole time, and I quite literally could not put it down. I was hooked from page one and remained riveted to the last word written. The plot was amazing, the imagery incredibly vivid, the writing impressive, and the characters just jump right off the page. Authentic, engaging, and passionate, these characters completely draw you into the story and make you believe in this extraordinary world the author has created for us. This book keeps you guessing the entire time. Who's good? Who's bad? Who really knows? When the book is this good, who really cares? You just sit back and enjoy the wild and crazy ride that is Anarchy Chained.

*I was given an ARC of this book and voluntarily chose to review. All opinions are my own.

Anarchy Chained is quite the finale to the SuperAlpha series! So much was going on, and the wicked twists and turns were out of this world - literally!
Review - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Anarchy Chained was such a wicked trip! I am still trying to catch my breath, get my wits about me and make my heartbeat slow back down! Huss is a master at mind-fucks! She really, really is. And with this story, she took it even further than usual in my opinion. At the beginning, I was a bit lost, and I continued to feel like the story was a couple of paces ahead of me for most of the time, and it was truly thrilling to never guess a single thing that was going on.

Thomas was the SuperAlpha I was so curious about, he always seemed so removed and cold, but in Anarchy Chained, he showed new sides of himself, and it was tantalising to get to know him better. Sadie, the female protagonist, was such a mystery, too. And usually, I don't enjoy stories where amnesia is a part of the plot, however, here, it just worked so well and I absolutely loved that Sadie didn't remember things, it made both the plot and the story thicken.

The alpha's big plan was supposed to come to fruition in Anarchy Chained, and my goodness, there were so many roadblocks it was like a hurdles championship. Every time I thought one thing would happen, something totally unexpected happened instead. And the fast pace, the action, the characters, it all moved the story forward in such a way that my mind was totally blown. Which I guess it was probably supposed to be.

Written in dual points of views, from Thomas and Sadie's perspectives, in present tense and with dialogues that made me feel like I was watching Orphan Black on speed. If you enjoy stories that are completely different, difficult to put in a genre box, but where there is still some romance, the whole SuperAlpha series should make it to your shelves!

Fave Quotes - (un)Conventional Bookviews

Someone died early this morning. I know this because I have his memories, and let me tell you, there are some fucked-up people in this world - people you should never know anything about - and he was one of them.

We will put an end to this Cathedral City bullshit once and for all as soon as I get Sadie on my side. Hashtag, done deal.

I glance over at my new sidekick and smile. And if I were to see this smile in a mirror, I'd see what everyone sees. Evil.

I'm kind of at a loss for words after finishing Anarchy Chained. It's like, what did I just finish reading? Why am I surprised that I'm speechless? Where does Julie pull these stories from? Does she dream this shit? Do images pop into her head while she's driving down the road? I couldn't even begin to come up with the stuff that flows across the pages of her books.

To say that there was a lot going on in this book would be an understatement. I knew Thomas would have a complex story, but I never figured on it having the levels of complexity that it does. Not only was there a shit ton of events happening throughout, but there were a whole bunch of new characters that we were introduced to. And to make things even more interesting, you don't quite know if these new characters are good guys or bad guys. But then again, I guess you could still be debating whether Thomas, Lincoln and Case are good guys or bad guys, too.

Sadie was a unique and interesting girl. She had some kickass abilities that I would love to have. I just wouldn't want to get them the way she got them. The more we hear about Prodigy school, the more fucked up the stories get. And to find out what they've been doing to children all through the years is some 10th level horror story shit, I tell you.

This is one of those books that keeps you guessing all the way through. And it keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through, too. And then the last 20%? Holy friggin moly!! Questions from the previous books are answered, characters that I didn't pay close enough attention to before rear their ugly heads, and once again Sheila proves that she's the most kickass non-human there is! And Thomas! Thomas....Thomas...Thomas...like I said before, what a complex character he is!!

I have honestly loved all three of the Alpha's stories. As interconnected as they are, each book has a dedicated storyline to the couple and I loved getting to know them and see their relationships evolve all while the chaos of each story was unfolding. This story was no different, except it really WAS different for Thomas and Sadie. How, you ask? I'm not gonna tell you, you need to discover that for yourself!

One thing I want to point out - the covers for this series are probably some of my most favorite covers ever! The graphic designs are out of this world, and the pictures drawn inside in random spots are amazing! I'm not a comic book collector, but I am a JA Huss book collector, and these just look so awesome on my bookshelf!

It’s no secret I am a huge fan of J.A. Huss. Her writing is phenomenal. No one does the twists and turns like she does. Her stories are fresh, unique and will consume you from start to finish. Her Super Alpha Series is a bit different, but so worth the read. Its super heroes on steroids for the women who love hot, alpha men; and the women who are strong right beside them.

In Anarchy Chained, we finally get Thomas’ story. Thomas goal from the very beginning was to destroy The Prodigy and take back their city. But who can he trust? We are introduced to new characters, meet Sadie and watch as all hell breaks loose. Who is good and who is bad? Does it matter? Can they all survive? So much is happening in this book from start to finish.

Sadie made for a very interesting match for Thomas. Never sure if we could trust her, but when they were together there was so much chemistry and they just fit, literally and figuratively!

I am still loving Sheila! She is one of the best characters in this book and series and she is not even human! I love how this book and series looks at good guys and bad guys differently. Not everyone can be so clearly defined. J.A. Huss will keep you at the edge of your seat until the very end! A must read you should take a chance on!

Happy reading!

That sure was a way to end it. I have to say I was a little confused with the mind stuff but in the end it worked.
This book was packed with action unlike the other books. This book it almost felt like falling in love on the run. Her ability it pretty awesome I must say.
I wasn’t expecting Thomas’ so be so emotional not boohoo kind of way just because of how he was in the last books. I know his normal drug therapy doesn’t work now and that probably plays a role. I think I liked him better in this book.
Sadi is pretty cool and I like that if almost felt like there was two of her too. From the beginning then after she see Thomas from his doing I suspect that blast is what helped Sadi get a hold of herself.
Now the narration was fanfreakin’tastic!

4.5 crazy stars.
I loved this book. I think its the best out the 3 but I also feel I need to re read it soon just make sure that I got all that "Inception" morabaraba accurately. There was a point when it felt like an overload of confusion, entertaining, but confusing none the less. This is the type of book (series) that I would want to read a few times and maybe slower each time to make sure I didn't miss anything important that could a explain the clusterf**k that is this concept. I will be rereading these 3 books just for this. It doesn't hurt that I liked Lincoln and Sullivan.

JA Huss brought the SuperAlpha trilogy to an epic conclusion as only she can with the ups and downs, and finally the shake-em-to-the-core-ending along with her brand of freaky kinkery thrown into the mix.

We get the dynamic duo of Thomas and Sadie's take on things this go round as they took on the crazy remnants of Prodigy. The story was told in alternating pov's: Thomas, Sullivan, and Sadie. Sadie was the heroine of this story and was the perfect match to the SuperAlpha. But enough of her, I mean that kindly, lol. Really I'm just jealous. I loved Thomas but I lusted after Sullivan. Naughty, nasty, hotter than HOT, and I mean sizzling RED HAWT Sullivan. By the end of the book I was screaming out the words of my fave song in Grease, serenading Sullivan from my heart, "you're the one that I want....oooh, oooh, oooh!" Maybe it was a little off tune but I was feelin it. Oh boy did I! He had me at hello, not to mention tie-me-down and give-me-rope-burns! That's all you'll get from me, you'll have to buy the book to get anymore, I'll just add this one last bit: I drooled...heavily.

As I left Cathedral City in the hands of my SuperAlpha heroes, I look forward to the promise of things to come from the EOBS, End of Book Shit, which is a must read at the end of every JA Huss book. Yes, there will be awesome books of awesome stuff, and again, you'll have to read it for yourself, no spoilers from me. Thanks Julie for giving your readers your best. You are the very best! 5 drooling stars!

Yep, it was just the first one in this series that didn't do it for me. Loved Anarchy Chained. And it had some weird shit still, so there goes my theory. Lots of mind-sharing, multiple personality type stuff. But it was done in a really unique way and I really enjoyed it. It probably helps that I've been most intrigued by Thomas since the start, so having a book devoted to him was pretty great. And I was right to be most intrigued by him, he's the most interesting for sure!

Sade is equally cool and fascinating. I love her power! How freakin' cool - she's an illusionist, which means she can trick people into thinking they're seeing someone entirely different.

As with all of Julie's books, there's the steamy stuff that you can count on. There's one point where it kind of crossed a line that I'm not sure I was comfortable with. Sade ended up liking it, so I'm more okay, but at the time it really bugged me. Made me start to question how I felt about Thomas.

The twists in the plot were really great and I love where she took the story. The ending is definitely not you're happily ever after -- I mean, in terms of romance it is. But in terms of the city in general, eh. Not sure the Alpha's "solution" is really going to be one. But it has potential. It's interesting, I'll give Julie that :)

Overall, I really enjoyed the series. I do think I still prefer her straight romances, but in comparison to Junco, I do prefer this foray into Sci-Fi. Oh and the narration was great from beginning to end.

I cannot even begin to explain just how amazing this book has been.
There are going to be certain spoilers so this is a fair warning for you guys.
So this book could have gone wrong in a lot of ways. A lot.
Dealing with split personality could have been a major clusterfuck of epic proportions especially for a reader like me who hates, absolutely hates, a love triangle.
And trust me, a split personality romance is very much like a love triangle scene.
So how JA Huss ended up making me love this shit, I don't even know.
And that just shows her prowess as a writer.
This woman can pull off almost anything and with such excellence that it leaves you awed, at the very least.
The plot has finally come to the full light and what a journey it has been.
One of the most intriguing plots I've ever read. This one actually takes the cake.
By 'this', I mean the entire series as for those who have read this series will know that the same plot has continued throughout the trilogy.
As for the characters, I am in love with all three. Thomas, Sullivan and Sadie.
The villains are something here that you hate with a passion. Like literally.
They will leave you disgusted and what a treat it is to read such a story that incites such emotions from you.
I cannot wait for more from this author as she said she is not done with this super-villain world yet.

All good things must come to an end, so they say. Anarchy Chained is the last book in the Super Alpha series by one of the best authors writing today JA Huss. The Super Alpha series is not for the faint of heart or anyone who can’t transport into a futuristic world. However, if you can love a superhero who might be a supervillain you get in triplicate. Anarchy Chained is Thomas Brooks’ story.

Thomas Brooks is the last of the three Alphas who escaped from Prodigy the school that made them into freaks, or superhuman, or extraordinary depending on how you look at it. Each Alpha has unique superpowers, and Thomas’ powers surprised the hell out of me. I didn’t expect him to be so unique even among the super alphas but what did I expect. I don’t know. Up to this point in the series, we are aware Thomas is cool, calm, and collected. Always in control and always planning. He doesn’t get close to anyone and feelings are for weaker beings. Thomas is controlling and a planner who wants to make Cathedral City safe (we think) again.

Anarchy Chained picks up a little while after Anarchy Missing ends. Thomas is dealing with feelings now. Are they his feelings or some else’s? Poor Thomas is in a bad way another surprise from the start of the book. As Thomas is dealing with his new surroundings, thoughts, and feelings, Sadie Scott enters his world. Who is she? What is her mission?

Sadie is a fellow Prodigy experiment that the Super Alpha’s didn’t know existed. She is a tripper with the skill to get wherever she needs to go by using chameleon type changes of sorts. Her current mission is to kill Thomas. However, Sadie didn’t expect Thomas’ real gifts to manifest and mess with her mind and her memory. Everything that happens next is unexpected and spellbinding for the reader.

What can I say except Julie Huss has done it again! Like all her books Anarchy Chained is fantastically written. She creates a unique world that I fall back into from the first line of the first page. Julie builds on events from the previous two books while making Thomas’ story new and exciting and unpredictable. (I know I’ve said that already). The world in the Super Alpha series is very complex and futuristic with a graphic novel flavor whipped up with the perfect dose of hot erotica. Thomas, in any form, is one hot superhero. I love him calm and in control and I love him hot and fighting with himself.

This series is one of my all-time favorites. The story unfolds at a fast pace with twists and turns that make you scream WHOA! What just happened? Often! The action is well done and highly suspenseful. There are a few times that I put my Kindle down to get a shot of Petron (liquid fortification) before I continued.

If you like Iron Man and other stories of this ilk, you will find the Anarchy trilogy very entertaining. I highly recommend a trip to Cathedral City with Thomas Brooks and his crew via Anarchy Chained . You won’t regret it.

Sometimes bad boys make the best men
Anarchy Chained is Thomas' story and the final installment of the Super Alphas saga. Leave it to JA Huss to leave the twistiest and most shocking for last. It's everything I love about Found and Missing set on "Blast". Kinky superheroes with imaginable powers. Strong women with powers all their own. Soul mates. Danger. Intrigue. And a caper that will leave you guessing until the last pages. The climax will leave you shaking and spent - and your hard all squishy and content. Thomas Brooks is the Super Alphas' mastermind. In a team of genius alphas - he's their ringleader and alphahole. But is he an evil genius? They jury's still out on that. Not even Linc and Case are quite sure, but it's all good as far as they're concerned.
Until Thomas disappears.
Anarchy Chained opens with Thomas' spectacular escape from the new and improved Cathedral City Asylum. You see he had a mental break when his meds, and superpowers got knocked off kilter, thanks to the run in with the Blue Boar. He started collecting the memories of dead people. All the dead people. And they wouldn't shut up. The strange thing is his escape is masterminded by Sadie - but thanks to the memory loss that she suffers when Thomas lets his superpower off the chain there's no way to know whether she's friend or foe. Is she helping Linc and Case? Is she Prodigy? Or something even more nefarious?
Thomas is a level 10 mentalist. He can unleash the power of his mind, and the brain blast can kill people. But Sadie survives because she is an illusionist - she can manipulate the perceptions of others making them she her as she's wishes them to. Talk about a master of disguise. Designed by the prodigy School to complement the powers of a mentalist, their minds fit together and strengthen each other. It's a truly symbiotic relationship. Does anyone else see the true beauty in this? The ultimate super couple's powers consist of screwing with your head and perceptions of reality masterfully. Sounds like an author I know and love.
Anarchy Chained is another JA Huss E-ticket ride. But this time it's way worse than a rollercoaster. It's the most malevolent fun house ever. Not even the mentalist and illusionist can quite sort out what's going on. Nothing is as it seems and there's danger at every turn. Friendship betray and friendship affirmed. And surprises - huge, kinky surprises. Leave it to Julie to create a totally mind blowing twist on menage. Last button emphatically pushed.
The whole idea of mixing superhero fantasy and angsty, erotic romance makes me giddy. And squirmy and hot under the collar (and other places). Couple that with Ms. Huss' talent for crafting insanely complex capers with teams full of sexy, honorable conflicted heroes, and you have one of the most brilliant, fresh, unique and entertaining reads in romance today. And like all the best superhero canons - the story isn't quite over. I can't wait to find out what Atticus has been up to.

5 Stars *****

SO I spent the first thirty percent trying to figure out what was going on before I gave up and put my trust into JA Huss masterful hands. I then spent the rest of the book enjoying the complete anarchy that was happening around me. There were so many different players in this book and I never knew what side was the good side or the bad side and which players belonged to which team. When I finally got to the end and watched the way it all played out, I was in a bit of shock because no matter which way I thought it was going to go this wasn’t it. I loved Lincoln and Case in the first two books and couldn’t wait to know more about Thomas and this book exceeded all of my expectations. There are literally so many different sides to Thomas and the plan that the Alphas put together and then there is Sadie… Sadie was the wild card for me in this book. She was the unknown and the one that was even more messed up than Thomas. She had me second-guessing everything I was reading and really between her and Thomas I never knew which way was up. Even though this is not a genre that I normally would pick up, I have never read a book by JA Huss that I didn’t completely love and this series is no exception. If you like books that leaving you guessing all of the way through, books that have a twisted love story and books that leave you with a book hangover for days, then this is the book for you. I highly recommend that you get started now!

Like most things JA Huss... This was wild. Like, it even had me feeling like I was the one that was trippy.
This series, I recommend. If you've read this author before, you won't be surprised at all by the time you get the first chapter over with.
If you haven't? Just go with it. I mean, there's a happy ending and a couple pretty hot scenes. I guess I could call it a happy ending, though this is like some weird super hero sci-fi stuff... But nothing too weird or crazy (I mean, if you don't count weird healing abilities with nanites or hands for guns.. Or is it guns for hands?)
And at the end? The glasses? Anyone remember the movie "They Live"? It's older than I am, but the glasses they have at the end reminded me of the movie, only it's not aliens they're seeing but people's past deeds thst they probably wouldn't want broadcast to the world.
Anyway, 5 stars because I'm super weird too and JA Huss is my go-to got needing something that's out there, even if it confuses me for a bit and hurts my brain. 😂💁

blew my mind... J A Huss had me on a roller coaster blindfolded I didnt know which way was up.... there are so many twists and with it so many possibilities on what u think will happen next... The world Julie built is amazing so vivid and real it felt like I lived in Catherdal City.. Thomas/Sullivan (u will understand that later) and Sadies relationship was steamy and there chemisrty was off the charts..But Julie kept the reader on their toes you just dont know if everything is real and just when you think you do Jukie throws another twist and another they keep coming in this book. I just had to hold on for the ride and I did it was so worth it, I read it in one sitting. This was a great book. If you like super powered vigilante alphas, women who can match or even better them, bad guys so many you dont know who to trust, guns bombs and beat downs then this series this book is for you.

I can't help it, this superhero series is just so damn fantastic! I love that it's so different and unique, there's also a great plot twist that I never saw coming. Who doesn't love a great plot twist?! Ack, so good! It did take me a minute to get into in the very beginning, but then bam, I was in it to win it.

Just wow. I'm speechless after reading this book. I couldn't wait for Thomas' book, he's a complex guy. He's even more complex than I thought. I'm not sure how this author comes up with this stuff but I love her for it!!

What an ending! I loved Thomas' story! This book is insane, no pun intended. It was hard to keep track of things at times, and I still have one million questions that require answers, but the series is just at its beginning. After more than 800 pages, I need more.

What a mind trip Anarchy Chained read was! But really, I should be used to it when I pick up a read by Huss! I knew that the final book was going to be an epic conclusion to the series, and the twists... I did not see them coming!

It was interesting to get inside of Thomas' head... that man is one odd but calculated character. I didn't think I would get a good grasp on him, but he's just a complex person and was determined to pull off the plan. There were times I was sure he was doing his own thing, and he did twisted things that had my jaw dropping, but as the story unfolded, I began to understand him better.

I liked Sadie, she was a weapon herself, but after meeting Thomas, she was a little lost. I liked that she got to know Thomas and was able to form her own opinions of him, because he was one odd man! But they fit well together and were a great team. Her back-story was revealed slowly, and I was glad that she found Thomas!

This was an intense read, with twists and turns that had my head spinning! I loved seeing the connection grow between Sadie and Thomas, even though it was touch and go there for a while. J.A. Huss sure knows how to create complex characters, put them into a warped world and write an intriguing plot that I can't help but get lost in! Huss may be a little perverted and crazy, but she's damn good at it... that's why she's a must read author for me!

Julie Huss single handedly reinvented the the Super Hero genre!!! She leveled the playing field by incorporating sexy hot Alpha Super Heroes and Villains that leave you gripping your kindle with excitement while squirming in your seat for relief! This is the mind blowing conclusion to the Super Alphas of Cathedral City. Lincoln and Case have told their stories, but now it's Thomas' turn.

Thomas finds himself locked away after the fallout from Case's transformation. His powers have been kept under wraps and severely tamped down by design, but without the cocktail he created to keep his powers at bay a storm is brewing and he knows what's coming is going to the worst kind of evil. Sadie Scott is a super villain of her own kind, with powers so unique she is able to bend the minds of people by a quick trip of her face. Her mission is clear and there is no stopping her from getting her target. In a stunning clash of powers and explosions, things go wrong quickly and Thomas and Sadie find themselves linked together in a most unusual way, the only way through the Anarchy wracking both their brains is to work together.

The twists and turns, quick wit brought to you by Super hologram Sheila and jaw dropping moments set these pages on fire. Filled with a Super Mind**** and Super Kink, this story will blow you away. Lincoln, Case and Thomas are ready to unleash the their powers and release the evil and anarchy from Cathedral City that is 15 years in the making. The end game is now and the chains are about to be broken!

Anachary Chained is a fantastic culmination to author J.A. Huss’ SuperAlpha Series. Ms. Huss hasn’t made me a science fiction fan, but I have truly enjoyed the break from reality that this super hero/super villain series has provided.   Each book features one of three men whose bond was forged when they were subjected to the manipulations and modifications of the evil Prodigy group. I would not call the books standalone novels. It would be near impossible to follow the story arc without previously reading Anarchy Found (book 1) and Anarchy Missing (book 2).

Anarchy Chained is Thomas’ story. He’s been the mastermind behind the Alpha’s plan to take down Prodigy and reclaim Cathedral City for the people. Just as the pieces of their plan are coming together, Thomas goes MIA. In this book, there is not much reference to the other two Alphas on the team until the second half of the book. Readers get a frightening glimpse into Thomas’ genius and twisted mind. I’d love to dive into a lengthy discussion of the incredible story line, but that would completely ruin the thrill factor for other readers.

Quite a few new characters—both good and sinister—are introduced in this installment.   Several of the new characters are very unexpected, and their backstory, motives and persona are revealed as the story unfolds. You're never really sure who is telling the truth or who is a "good guy" until you're in the thick of it.   Ms. Huss’ ability to create a mind-bending psychological thriller with unreliable narrators takes my breath away.

My only disappointment in this book is the lack of story behind Thomas’ mother and his brother Atticus. I anticipated getting more of those characters in Thomas’ story, however, Ms. Huss’ original plan for the series included four Super Alphas. Her reading order includes a final book titled Ex-Society in which I will probably get a supremely satisfying story about Atticus, the backstory on Thomas, Atticus and Molly’s mom, as well as an incredible tale that masterfully weaves together all the heroes, villains while revealing a mastermind behind the evil that is Prodigy School (while subject to change, per the author's website, the release date is projected to be late summer/early fall 2017 for the final and undoubtedly epic installment of the SuperAlpha Series).

Anarchy Chained, along with the prior two books, should be read “blind”. Avoid the spoilers and the book summaries to fully appreciate the phantasmagoric science fiction, twisted thriller, and action-packed adventure that is J.A. Huss’ SuperAlpha Series.

5 Chained Anarchy Stars

Here's the usual: Julie is fucking fantastic. What the fuck did I just read? She writes anti-heroes like no other. This book is a mindfuck. Huss is a genius. Blah, blah, blah.

Now, the story: HOLY FUCK WHAT DID I JUST READ? <---look familiar?! Thomas is the best of these SuperAlpha men. He's the rock, the brains, the manipulation that has fueled this series from the beginning. However, I don't think I ever really understood it until I finished this book. Seeing things from Thomas's eyes brings this entire series together.

I don't know if I've ever read a series quite like this. It's science fiction-y and romance-y and sex-y. All the sexy. And did I mention it's fucking fantastic? The perfect wrap up to an amazingly crazy set of stories.

...she likes to submit, I realize. She will let me lead her along. She wants me to fuck her and she wants me to make her say yes. But I won't.
Thomas is controlling. He's *in* control at all times. But the most surprising part? He's not always in control. And it's something I never realized before this book.

I want him to control me the way they did. I want my submission to set me free.
Sadie is no one. Sadie is everyone. Sadie is special because Prodigy made her special. She is confused because Thomas has the power to confuse her. And that's how we know this is going to be one hell of a ride. Sadie isn't afraid of Thomas and Thomas is enamored with Sadie.

I won't fuck her. I'll try not to fuck her. Who am I kidding? I'm totally going to fuck her.
And it's lines like these that leave me laughing--yet wanting to see Thomas and Sadie come together to make their magic. And it will be nothing short of spectacular because Huss only gives us spectacular sex.

I'm not using you. I don't need you. I just want you."

I'm only left with one question: Where the fuck is Atticus?

This is books three in the Anarchy Series, Thomas and Sadie's story. The blurb is great so I am not going to bother summarizing and just jump right in to my review.

I am always torn whenever I finish a JA Huss book with how to write my review and not give anything away. There is so much great stuff, I just want to talk about it but I am a firm believer that a book is so much better when you go into it blind.

Here's what I will say...

Thomas, to be honest I wasn't his biggest fan in the first two books but I loved him after this one. And Sadie? She is his perfect match

There are so many twists and turns in this one that I did not at all see coming which kept the story flowing quickly and me not wanting to put my kindle down.

There are a lot of characters and at times you will be totally lost asking yourself "What in the world just happened?" But hang in there...I promise, it will be so worth it.

My thoughts:

POV switches up characters throughout
Quick hook or slow starter? 5 (I was hooked from the first chapter)
Character development: 5
Level of Romance between characters: 5
Passion/Heat level: 5 (there is not a lot of sex in this story but what there is steams and a few scenes may even be a little disturbing for some)
Angst/Heartbreak: 5(Amnesia? Check...Twist and Turns? Check, check)
Cliffhanger?: No, the story is wrapped up in the end but the author leaves the story open for more.

Overall, I loved it and highly recommend this series to those looking for something a little different. You won't be disappointed!

I received an ARC of this story from the author in exchange for an honest review.

I really loved the concept that JA Huss put out there for this series. It was so unique and different than anything that is really out there right now in romance. The build up to this story was fantastic, and I could not wait to find out more about Thomas- the one that is bossy yet in the background running it all.
Let me start by saying that I loved the beginning of this story. I think JA Huss did Thomas sooo well. He was a mystery and she let him unfold throughout this story so well. The concept of duel personalities is so intriguing and unknown, and I think she writing for this was superb. Their voice's were so different which I feel is so insanely hard to do under one body while not over doing it where your like wtf. The connection between Thomas and Sadie was great and the interactions were on fire. I couldn't ask for more.
With that being said.. I felt the mentalist/illusionist thing could have be explained a little better and it left me slightly confused in the end. I understand that this was suppose to be a mind blown kind of this- and I love that but I didn't really get it in this case.
But I do love the concept, I loved the build up, I loved the first 80% of this book. But it fell a little flat for me in the end. I'd go with 3.5/4 stars for this one because I loved the concept and writing.

5 "WTF just happened" stars for - Anarchy Chained - book 3 in the Super Alpha series by the master of the mind scramble J.A. Huss. You must read book one - Anarchy Found - and book two - Anarchy Missing - prior to reading this one.  Never in a million years did I think that I would find sci-fi sexy, but with Huss driving this train it is all that and more!
Thomas Brooks is the ringleader of the SuperAlphas and with the help of a woman named Sadie they join together to fight the bad guys. The only problem is Thomas has no idea whether or not Sadie is on his side or one of the aforementioned bad guys. These two are all over Cathedral City introducing us to new interesting characters that give us bits and pieces to the vast puzzle that is the Anarchy series. However in true Huss fashion you are left guessing until the very end where every single one of the many, many threads that was given are all explained in epic detail!
Love Cathedral City and it's many intricate parts and hope we get to meet some of the interesting people that made an appearance. I swear J.A. Huss could make me a fan of any genre with her unique writing style and epic words :)
