This is a very wholesome manga! I'm really shocked by how clean and sweet it is, though I don't know why I'm quite THAT shocked. LOL!
A good friend of mine recommended this to me and have had it sitting on my shelves for a few weeks now. Definitely my mistake in waiting so long to read it! The premise of a young woman forgetting her memories (but only of friends, not family) every week is fascinating. It however makes Hase's desire to be friends with Fujimiya all the more compelling.
The first half was REALLYYY moving! I teared up so much because I LOVED Hase wanting to be Fukimiya's friend just because. Yes, he does have a crush on her, but there is a part where he talks about feeling discomfort in having to ask her to be his friend every week. He then realizes though that it is the foundation of EVERY friendship, regardless of how many times he needs to ask her in this unique situation. I just found it extremely moving, especially when we see Fujimiya's responses.
The last half wasn't quite as exciting as the first mainly because I don't like Shougo. LOL! He is very upfront, straightforward, and gets annoyed quickly. I wouldn't say he's necessarily mean, but he does come across rude at times. I wasn't exactly super happy with Hase either in that I wasn't sure WHY he wanted someone else to know what is happening to Fujimiya. I gather he thinks it will help, but I stand with Shougo in that it should come from Fujimiya and what she wants to do, not Hase.
Even with that said though, I LOVED volume one! One Week Friends is very relaxing and has an easy-going, but emotional way of storytelling. I would recommend it to those who are looking for a "softer" shojo that is more friendship focused (and what it means to be a friend) and has overall relaxing vibes.

A cute, sweet manga that has a surprisingly bittersweet quality for what's mostly a 4Koma style. There's not a lot of substance to it just yet, but having seen the anime series and the live-action movie version, I know it's going to be a slow build to the ending.
The premise is a simple one: a boy who really wants to be friends with a girl who forgets her friends weekly is determined to keep being her friend. The result is a sweet friendship story about these two trying to find ways to make it work. The characters are pretty likable, and it's a nice read.

What a cute story, I liked this a lot.

I had reservations when I picked up this book at the library as I am not a fan of amnesia stories or the Japanese four-panel, top-to-bottom gag strip format, but I was won over by the end of the volume. The concept of a teenage girl forgetting all her friends every Monday morning is silly, but at least the creator includes a character who also finds it unlikely and is constantly questioning it and picking away at it. Also, the story isn't told exclusively in the gag format, with more than half of the pages in each chapter reverting to a traditional story layout. I wish the gag format wasn't used at all, but at least it doesn't dominate the book. I'll definitely try a second volume.

Die Zeichnungen sind auffallend, durch ihre zarte und süße Art, die nicht zu sehr ins den Kitsch abdriften, oder Shoujo typisch werden. Außerdem ist es kein klassischer Aufbau des Panels, wie sonst, denn in manchen Seiten gibt es einen Titel für die nächste Bilderfolge von vier Bilder und so entsteht aus kleinen Happen eine sehr interessante Geschichte, die zum Ende hin auch an Tiefe gewinnt.
Die Hauptcharaktere sind klar zu beschreiben, da gibt es einmal Yuki Hase, ein schlichter, netter Junge mit einer reinen und ehrlichen Art. Kaori ist still und abweisend, es ist auch verständlich wieso und mit der Zeit lernen wir eine andere Seite von ihr kennen, von einem offenen, lieben Mädchen, dass sich wünscht an ihre Freunde erinnern zu können um somit der Einsamkeit zu entgehen.
Viel, kann ich nach dem ersten Band, noch nicht sagen, nur soviel ist verraten:
Ein besonderer, gefühlvoller Manga, der durch sein ruhige Art ein angenehmes Gefühl vermittelt und er weckt am Ende Interesse für die nächsten Teile. Was steckt hinter dieser speziellen Amnesie?
Außerdem besitzt der Manga einen wunderbaren leichten Humor, wodurch die Story nicht allzu traurig wird und Spannung oder Action sucht man hier vergebens.
"One week Friends" konnte mich einigermaßen überzeugen und ich freue mich auf die restlichen Bände! In Japan ist er bereits mit 7 Mangas abgeschlossen und in Deutschland erscheint der zweite Band der Reihe bereits im Mai und der Dritte im August!

Review untuk volume 1-7 (end)
Manga ini sangat manis dan terasa sangat polos alias innocent karena diisi dengan (kebanyakan) remaja-remaja yang sangat baik dan manis. Kisahnya cukup unik karena ingatan tokoh utama perempuannya akan teman-temannya akan hilang saat hari senin datang.
Aku suka perkembangan pertemanan para tokoh di dalam manga ini dan ya, karakter mereka memang beragam namun sama manisnya. Manga ini tipikal cerita ringan ala anak SMA yang enak untuk diikuti di waktu senggang.
Aku kasih manga ini rating 3,5 yang kubulatkan jadi bintang 4 karena yah, manga ini terasa sangat manis untuk saya.

I received this manga from a friend of mine, a long time ago but never got around to reading it. I didn't realize what I was missing. I absolutely loved the storyline. It had depth and intrigued me like no other. I loved the different characters and the chemistry between all 3. My favorite is Shougo, of course. His cold and nonchalant demeanor speaks to me on a spiritual level <3 Plus my boy knew right away what her situation was, without her as much as saying one word, that just means hes a genius. He might be an asshole but he knows people and possibly psychology.
I cannot wait for more of this series. I just know its gonna get better and better.

This was a pretty cute story. I rather like the fact that its not really meant to be romantic, it's just friendship. The art is extremely cute as well. I was a little disappointed that it was mostly 4 panel manga, I wish that would have been mentioned in the description, but it does not detract from the story.
The memory loss seams pretty strange, too. Like I could get not forgetting her parents and other family she lives with, but only forgetting friends... But, it's manga so yea.
Overall, a good read if you are looking for something cute, short and sweet.

Manga de Recuerdos de la Vida, Romance con un poco de comedia pero no la suficiente para ser conciderada una comedia romantica. Tiene un dibujo simple (hay paneles en los que es una obra de arte) pero eso no quita que la historia sea mala, la historia es lo unico en lo que sobresale y tampoco perderas tu tiempo leyendolo. Vale la pena completamente y se terminara disfrutando.

in short-term this manga is about a boy named Yuuki Hase who goes to school and ends up wanting to be friends with this girl in his school named Kaori Fujimiya he later figures out that her memory reset every week, her memories disappear each week on monday.Hase kun is forced to make new memories and becoming friends with her every week. For people who want to read short books i think this is a good book for them.

Wow. This one is really amazing. I wasn't sure what to expect but this was really sweet and kind of sad and I really enjoyed it.

"Ich hab´ nämlich auch Freunde!", schreit Kaori Fujimiya zwei Klassenkameradinnen zu, die über sie gelästert haben und ich finde, das erfordert doch wahnsinnig viel Mut, das kann ich nur zu gut nachvollziehen. Deshalb ist sie mir unglaublich im Kopf geblieben und damit auch ihre Geschichte.
Zum Cover und Zeichenstil: Das Cover ist in Farben gehalten, die an Wasserfarbe erinnert, daher gefällt es mir ziemlich gut. Und auch die allgemeinen Zeichnungen des Mangas sind sehr interessant gestaltet, da die Geschichte manchmal auch kleine Facettenbilder besitzt, die ein sowohl Lockerheit als die routinierte Wochenbeschreibung noch unterstützen.
Aber der Manga fällt einem doch alleine durch den äußeren Einband ins Augen. Naja, zumindest ging es mir so, als ich ihn im Laden entdeckt hatte.
Zum Inhalt: Der Highschool Schüler Yuki Hase bemerkt, dass seine Klassenkameradin Kaori Fujimiya immer allein rumhängt und offensichtlich keine Freunde hat. Yuki zeigt Herz und kümmert sich um das Mädchen ohne Freunde. Nachdem sie sich etwas besser kennen, eröffnet ihm Kaori, dass sie immer Montags all ihre Freunde vergisst. Dieses Geständnis weckt Yukis Kampfgeist und er beschließt, sich jede Woche aufs Neue mit Kaori anzufreunden.
Dass es zum Manga sogar einen romantischen Anime aus dem Hause Square Enix gibt, habe ich auch erst durch einen Flyer gemerkt, der in meinem Exemplar enthalten war. Dennoch habe ich mich ziemlich gefreut, als ich durch diesen die ersten drei Episoden kostenlos schauen konnte.
Meine Meinung: Da es der erste Teil eines Mangas ist, will ich gar nicht zu viel sagen, aber wie er mir gefallen hat, kann man bisher vielleicht sogar von alleine schließen.
Die Charaktere Yuki Hase und Kaori Fujimiya sind ja schon erwähnt und sie haben mir wirklich gut gefallen, besonders auch Kaori wie gesagt. Aber auch Yukis bester Freund Shogo Kiryu mochte ich besonders gerne, einfach weil ich glaube oder vielmehr hoffe, dass er noch eine sehr große Rolle spielen wird. Aber Shogo sagt nun mal das, was er denkt und scheut nicht davor, wie andere sich dadurch fühlen, dennoch bleibt er dabei immer korrekt. Auf ihn passt der Spruch "Harte Schale, weicher Kern" wirklich sehr gut.
Die Atmosphäre ist einfach unglaublich schön gestaltet, symphatisch und irgendwie auch realistisch, denn die Freundschaft zwischen Kaori und Yuki hat gerade erst angefangen und sie entwickelt sich Schritt für Schritt. Und jetzt wo Shogo mit dazu kommt, kann es doch noch ziemlich interessant werden.
Fazit: Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob 5 Sterne nicht doch etwas zu hoch gegriffen sind, aber der erste Band von "One Week Friends" hat für mich die Maßlatte für diesen Manga sehr nach oben gelegt, daher freue ich mich schon jetzt auf die zwei nächsten Bände, die dieses Jahr noch erscheinen. Mal sehen, ob sie mich dann noch immer an den Film "50 erste Dates" erinnern?

I remember watching the anime from so long ago, and I feel that reading this helped me relive the story for the most part.
This series gives me the impression that this is a lax, yet endearing read. Lots of people will quirk their brow at the idea of a person losing memories each week of only those they befriend. Coming back to the story, I had the same idea, but toward the end of this volume, there came that argument and (without giving spoilers) that rung a bell for me when recalling the anime.
The art style is very cute and simplistic. Not necessarily a bad thing, but for other readers, I imagine it might blend a little too much with the chibi style. On that same note, I did have an issue like other readers about the way the panels were separated. I feel that eighty percent of the time it was okay to have the 4-koma style with the small amounts of comedy in the book, but switching to regular panels did kind of break the flow for me.
But, in general, this isn't a bad story. I like cute ones like this (and I was a sucker for the author's pen name. Gotta blame my taste for tea and cookie flavor). This was also a great light-hearted story that the younger generation can read, so I definitely recommend those from middle school upwards, even for those who are getting into manga/anime for that matter (regardless of age).

berawal mula dari rasa penasaran, Hase tertarik mengamati teman satu kelasnya yang aneh, Fujimiya Dia tidak mempunyai teman, penyendiri, dan terlihat dingin. Oleh karena manis, Hase ingin berteman dengannya. Masalahnya ketika Hase mengutarakan niat untuk berteman dengannya, malah di tolak!
Namun Hase tidak menyerah, berbekal ajakan makan siang di atap, akhirnya mereka mulai akrab satu sama lain. Meskipun demikian Fujimiya tidak ingin menganggap Hase sebagai teman, dan.. terbukalah sebuah rahasia yang menyebabkan Fujimiya enggan berteman. Bahwa ingatannya akan ter-reset setiap minggu, semua kenangan baik bersama teman akan terhapus!!
Kocak-kocak ngeri sebenernya baca cerita ini. Banyak pertanyaan yang keluar selama membaca manga satu ini, tapi satu persatu mulai terjawab seiring cerita, walaupun belum sepenuhnya .... , yang bikin penasaran, apakah benar si Fujimiya memiliki trauma akibat pertemanan seperti yang diutarakan oleh Shogo, temannya Hase? ( apakah trauma gegara Bulliying? atau dihianati teman sendiri? ) inilah yang menjadi benang merah dari cerita di manga ini. Mari kita lihat perkembangan cerita di vol berikutnya.
Oh ya,manga ini disajikan secara campur-campur, kadang disajikan empat kolom, kadang disajikan seperti manga biasa.,baru pertama kali aku menemukan komik seperti ini.
Namun Hase tidak menyerah, berbekal ajakan makan siang di atap, akhirnya mereka mulai akrab satu sama lain. Meskipun demikian Fujimiya tidak ingin menganggap Hase sebagai teman, dan.. terbukalah sebuah rahasia yang menyebabkan Fujimiya enggan berteman. Bahwa ingatannya akan ter-reset setiap minggu, semua kenangan baik bersama teman akan terhapus!!

Banyak pertanyaan yang keluar selama membaca manga satu ini, tapi satu persatu mulai terjawab seiring cerita, walaupun belum sepenuhnya .... , yang bikin penasaran, apakah benar si Fujimiya memiliki trauma akibat pertemanan seperti yang diutarakan oleh Shogo, temannya Hase? ( apakah trauma gegara Bulliying? atau dihianati teman sendiri? ) inilah yang menjadi benang merah dari cerita di manga ini. Mari kita lihat perkembangan cerita di vol berikutnya.
Oh ya,manga ini disajikan secara campur-campur, kadang disajikan empat kolom, kadang disajikan seperti manga biasa.,baru pertama kali aku menemukan komik seperti ini.

Allein dieses Cover ist schon so süß, dass man fast einen Zuckerschock bekommt. Ich liebe diese Zeichnungen sehr. Sie sind einfach goldig. Aber auch die Geschichte ist süß. Yuki will unbedingt mit Kaori befreundet sein, obwohl sie immer total ablehnend allen gegenüber ist. Keiner mag sie und doch ist sich Yuki sicher, dass sie ein liebes Mädchen ist und ausserdem ist sie ja auch so süß. Als Yuki es schließlich schafft eine Freundschaft zu ihr auszubauen, lässt Kaori die Bombe platzen. Sie vergisst nach einer Woche immer alle schönen Erlebnisse und kann sich an nichts erinnern.

Aqui fica a avaliação de todos os volumes. Só tinha lido o primeiro volume e nunca fui atrás do resto da história, até agora, e posso afirmar que os três primeiros volumes é onde fica a melhor parte. O que eu gosto nesse manga é a fofura. A ideia do Hase e da Fujimiya manterem uma amizade, mesmo com o problema de memória dela, é um grande charme. Gosto do slice of life deles. O que eu não gosto é dessa ideia de ir atrás de saber o que causou esse problema de memória. A causa não é um mistério interessante, e quando é revelado é até que frustrante. O Hajime, que está fortemente ligado ao passado da Fujimiya, sofre demais com essa obsessão da história em saber o que aconteceu. Ele é um personagem com interações e potencial legal, mas que fica totalmente embolado no passado compartilhado. O final é tão repentino e tão fácil de conflito que deveria acontecer na metade da história. Um final melhor já aconteceu, quando ela perdeu o diário e quando ela esqueceu de tudo, ambos seriam finais mais aceitáveis. Enfim, ao todo é um manga fofo. A arte é extremamente simples, mas as capas e desenhos coloridos são lindos.

Primero que nada, con este manga ya aprendí la lección de no volver a comprar toda la saga sin antes leer el primer tomo xD
Esperaba un manga con más comedia y sorpresa! La historia está repleta de clichés con personajes aburridísimos, y una trama que se hubiera resuelto en 2 tomos a lo mucho, ahora comprendo porque la autora en sus mensajes de las últimas páginas siempre ponía "estoy sorprendida que la editorial me pida continuar... blablabla", quizá ella misma se había dado cuenta que la trama no daba para mucho :V
Bueno, y en resumen, la historia nos habla de Kaori, una niña que olvida a las personas que considera amigos al terminar la semana, y de Yuki, compañero de Kaori que hará todo lo posible por ser amigo de Kaori. Lo interesante es saber porqué Kaori olvida a sus amigos y cuando te enteras de la razón... la verdad dan ganas de agarrar el manga y arrojarlo a basura.
En conclusión, un manga pobremente desarrolllado que probablemente le guste a los fans de historias románticas sosas, con personajes clichés. Una perdida de tiempo leer este manga.

Les contare que supe de este manga gracias a mi amigo Malik del canal "Para que leer" el me lo recomendó ya saben que el me introdujo a todo este mundo de los mangas y dijo que me iba a gustar, pero por más que quería leerlo no lo encontraba, ya fuera de manera digital o física, no podía encontrarlo, hasta que gracias a alguien lo conseguí y lo pude leer y les diré que me gusto mucho, ya que es la cosa más linda y tierna del mundo.
Pero les diré que esta es una historia muy bonita, ya que se centra en Kaori una niña que estudia la preparatoria y es muy inteligente, pero que tiene un secreto, por que ella no puede tener amigos, ya que todos los Lunes pierde la memoria pero únicamente de las personas que a ella le importan mucho aunque por alguna causa extraña no olvida a su familia, pero eso no le importa a Yuki un chico que va en el mismo salón de Kaori y que a pesar de que se entera del secreto de Kaori quiere ser su amigo o algo más entonces hace lo posible por ayudarla a que pueda recuperar sus recuerdos.
Como decía antes este manga es la cosa más linda y tierna de la vida, me gusto desde el trabajo que hicieron los mangakas que se me hace muy acorde a la historia por que igual los dibujos son lindos y bonitos, pero a pesar de ser una historia de romance shonen, tiene sus partes divertidas, por que les diré que había momentos en los que me reía con las cosas que hacían los personajes y otras decía que era bonito.
Una de mis partes favoritas fue cuando Yuki invita a salir a Kaori por que ella no conoce lo que es salir con un amigo, aunque más que otra cosa Yuki quería una cita, pero no podía decir eso por que Kaori se pondría incomoda, esa parte fue muy divertida y una de las cosas que hacen es ir a un Karaoke y ahí pasaba cada cosa muy chistosa por que Kaori nunca había ido a uno o también me gustaron los detalles que tenia Kaori con Yuki como llevarle el almuerzo todos los días a la escuela.
Como verán es un manga que tiene de todo no solo romance, por que a parte esta el misterio de saber por que Kaori tiene lo de la perdida de la memoria, así que esta es una historia que si quiero seguir leyendo y que les recomiendo bastante y que espero pronto ver el anime por que si así en libro es bonito en anime a de serlo aun más, pero en verdad anímense a leerlo por que si vale la pena.

Una historia sobre amistad. Hase siempre se ha fijado en Fujimiya, sin embargo ella siempre es disguste y no habla con nadie. Un día Hase tiene la oportunidad de estar con ella y trata de entablar conversación, con un segundo intento, él le pregunta si pueden ser amigos, un rotundo no.... Peor con un poco de esperanza...sin embargo a final de semana Fujimiya le revela la verdad y Hase debe empezar su lucha para ser amigos.
Un problema en la memoria de Fujimiya le evita tener amigos, sin embargo Hase continuará luchando por la amistad entre ellos.
Linda y divertida, es una gran historia...veremos cómo continúa la lucha entre memoria vs amistad .
Buenos Dibujos centrados en los personajes más que en el fondo y un nuevo estilo de lectura de manga, en vez del acostumbrado.
Un problema en la memoria de Fujimiya le evita tener amigos, sin embargo Hase continuará luchando por la amistad entre ellos.
Linda y divertida, es una gran historia...veremos cómo continúa la lucha entre memoria vs amistad .
