Ashara: Survival

Rate this book
"Knights, magic, guns, and monsters - the desert is an unforgiving place. If you want to live, you must understand and follow the rules of the land. One, everything has teeth. Everything. Two, someone wants what you have and they are willing to die to try and take it from you. Let them try. Three, the sands are infinite--you are not. The Endless Western Wastes do not give up what they have already claimed. If you are careless, if you stray too far from shelter and safety, no one will ever find you." - from the Hunter's Handbook.

As a Hunter of the City, Ashara spends her days scavenging for supplies, ousting monster dens, and keeping an ever-watchful eye on the horizon. Though the sun beats heavily, the beasts howl the night away, and the waterways constantly run dry, she, like so many others, stays vigilant and maintains the tenants. "Keep your gun close, your head down, and always serve the City." Each and everyone one of them knows that one day... Well. One day you just don't come back.

Set in a desert wasteland on the fictional world of Etolis, Ashara is a nail-biting, tension-filled adventure filled with guns, magic, stupid decisions, selfless-bravery and terribly large teeth. Told from the perspective of a scholar many years later, join him in his attempts to recreate the early years of one of history's most prominent folk-heroes.
