The CompanionReads format covers the novel very well with the expected list of characters, themes, motifs and discussion questions. But what sets the chapter summary section apart is that it retains the "matter of fact" tone of the actual novel. Also this summary would be excellent to use when watching the movie version of the novel to fill in some parts not in the screenplay. Having read the novel for a book club, the only omission of the summary topics I found was the pronunciation of "Ove" which my group spent many minutes discussing. Apparently there are regional Swedish pronunciations ranging from ooh'-ve or oo'-vay or oo'- vuh. Don't hesitate to purchase if you're looking for a summary companion book.

Great summary

As the leader of our book club discussion, I often need a little help with remembering the text under our scrutiny. This is just what I needed to help me plan our conversation. Thanks.
