Highly entertaining, steamy hot, sexy and fun sports romance with some very interesting twists. Captures the imagination from the beginning all the way to the happy ending.
Glad Burke is an NFL bad boy with a hidden intellect and interesting sense of humor. He is bound and determined to court supermodel Yvette but can't stop thinking about her sassy and delectable assistant Sarah. Sarah is a strong, independent woman working for a high maintenance, high profile woman she is the type that is often overlooked. This short and fast story makes for a perfect fun in the sun, relaxing in the backyard on a lawn chair, sipping a cold beverage afternoon.

This is the 2nd book I read by S.J. Bishop. I loved ❤ this 1st book's story line. I loved ❤ the sports in this story. I loved ❤ the hot & steamy scenes. I loved ❤ Sarah's character. I loved ❤ Burke's character. Burke got on my nerves. I loved ❤Roz. I didn't like Yvette or Andrew. I loved ❤ the ending. Awesome job Ms. Bishop.

Damn! SJ just keeps giving us great sport romance books to read. I voluntarily received an advance copy of this book. I have read all of her books thus far and will continue to.
Sarah and Burke's story is steamy and entertaining. It didn't start out this way. When Sarah met Burke, he was there to court her boss Yvette. As he waited in the lobby for Yvette to show up for their meeting, Sarah started to realize that the person Burke portrays to the public is really not the person he truly is. Burke finds that being smart doesn't get the ladies. So if he asks dumb then there won't be a problem. The only issue is he finds that he cannot stop thinking about Sarah. While out at an event with Yvette, Sarah shows up with an urgent call for her. Yvette tells Burke to entertain Sarah. Well he does more than just entertain her. But when they get up in the morning and he doesn't remember sleeping with Sarah she lets him believe that nothing happened. He continues on with his chase of Yvette. Yes even after they finally start dating he's still chasing after her. Sarah picks up with her ex Andrew again. Sarah realizes she's pregnant and Burke thinks it's Andrew's. Well once the cat is out the bag there's no getting it back in. One thing for certain is you can't force someone to like you. Burke will learn this the hard way.
There is a beautiful happy ending and I recommend you read this book.

This is completely different than any other! What a phenomenal read, the characters are amazing no the plot astounding. Burke and Sarah are a match made in heaven, but the road they have to travel to get there is through hell...for both of them, even if they don't see it right away. Being a self centered punk, Burke is actually a sweetheart and doesn't show it often. Sarah sees what's happening to him, but knows it's not her place to tell him. After a few to many one night, they make more than a memory for her...but can she actually tell him the truth? Must read!!!! I'm voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.

You don't need to like sports to like this book. Hot n heavy, creamy and steamy with a twist of reality. Burke falling for the wrong woman, leading to the right woman what a round about way to go to get the right one, but is it to late or will fate take over? MUST READ

I was addicted from the start of the book and had to keep reading! I thought this book was great. The writing flowed and the characters were well written. Great read.

What is he hell?!!!!
I'm 3/4 of the way in this book and the H is still crazy about this bitchy supermodel, he is still in a relationship with her and he believes she wow.
He slept with the h in a drunken night while he was trying to seduce the model and he doesn't remember.
After they slept together both of them started a relationship (sexual and romantic) with other people. Her with her ex who had broken up with her twice before and he with the supermodel!!!!
Office course she got pregnant after that one night stand which he doesn't remember about.
As I said I am 3/4 into this book and she just broke up with her douche bag boyfriend who just discovered that she was pregnant with someone else's baby and she somehow thought that he will continue his relationship with her and actually get married and raise the baby together?!!! The H is this still in a relationship with a supermodel who apparently is cheating on him with hair ex-boyfriend in Spain while the H is trying to figure out how can he salvage his relationship with her!!!!!
So again.....WTF?!

Good enough
It was a good enough read. While I liked all the back and forth it really seemed to drone on. Then all of the sudden she tells him about the baby and they are insta-couple. No way should she have forgiven all his back and forth so easily. If she had made him work to gain back her trust I think the story would have been a solid 4-5 ⭐. But it was like all that drama and then epilogue. Too much droning on for it to be so easily wrapped up.

This is the second time I’ve read this book. It’s a fun, mindless read. It’s easy to imagine a real player as the inspiration *gronk* which makes the book a little more enjoyable. It’s not a classic piece of literature, but not all books need to be. It’s like any rom-com movie, it’s just some escapist fun and that’s ok 👍🏻

Good story
This was a good story it was just a bit wishy washy for me. Burke was, supposedly, a really smart guy who dumbed himself down. To me, he was really dumb for pursuing the model from hell.

I purchased Kick Off Bad Ballers book one by SJ Bishop June 2017 and this review was given freely.
Kick Off: Ballers book 1 by SJ Bishop is the start of another steamy secret baby Football based romance series. This novel contains multiple intertwined romances, a jealous alpha male and of course a happy ending. Football player Burke aka Cassidy's friend from False Start ironically is initially interested with Model Yvette but with a twist of fate Burke becomes becomes involved with her assistant Sarah.
