As World War II erupts, Scott must face a 17th century super-villain named Malvolio, an anti-Green Lantern whose pact with Hitler endangers not only the Allied forces, but puts Earth's very existence at stake. Malvolio won't stop until the world is dominated - or destroyed - and the emerald energy of Green Lantern is humanity's only hope for salvation!
This was a good deal better than the first entry in this series. Removing Kyle Rayner solved most of my biggest problems with the first book. That's not to say that this was awesome. But, it was a perfectly fine Golden Age era Green Lantern story, and that's a big improvement. There's very little connecting this to the first book, so I'd honestly suggest just starting here.
The production was great, as always, and given the improvement I'll stick around for the third to see if it's of the same or better quality.
A really, long drawn-out second book in a trilogy. Most of it is spent doing origin stories for Alan Scott and Malvolio. Only the second half is really paying any attention to "Sleepers" and the trilogy.
This just burst open the doors on what was really going on. It was a really good story. I liked the progression of Alan Scott and how the green lantern stuff started out with him. This with some of the recent goings ons in the DC universe with Mr. Manhattan.
