Rate this book
A boy loves math but hates taking baths and as long as he's not 100% dirty there's no point in washing. This book teaches kids fractions and percentages in a fun and funny way.

1% Clean: A Funny Story about Fractions and Percents is a great book for a teacher to introduce how we use fractions and percentages in every day life. The use of humor where the child does not want to take a bath is age appropriate for the children in the middle grades of elementary school that have the challenge of learning fractions and percentages. This is a unique and inventive story using first fractions and then percentages to express the same amount to give the teacher or parent examples of how fractions and percentages relate to one another. About ten years ago I taught 5th grade and I would have loved this short story to create interest and give my students examples they can easily relate to for learning a difficult math concept.

I received a copy of this book from the site called Instafreebie and appreciate the opportunity to give my opinion on a good book for elementary school teachers or parents interested in helping their children learn about fractions and percentages.

Cute story that makes learning fractions fun.I have the ebook version of this to review.I suspect that the actual book version would work better in some ways. The illustrations are simple and work very well to help illustrate the ideas.
