Red Pine Falls Mysteries #3

Dark Secrets & Dead Reckoning

Rate this book
Abby is thankful that things have gone back to normal for Red Pine Falls. Her Grandmother is getting married, Becky is remodeling her café, and Gabe has gone from good friend to something much more interesting. What could go wrong? Just because Frank Millerson left town like a bat out of hell probably doesn’t mean anything.

Or does it?

When dangerous men come to town asking questions about Frank and where they can find him, Abby begins to get an inkling that normal for Red Pine Falls is anything but quiet. It just gets worse when bodies start appearing. Can Abby lead her friends through these dark times or will it all end in violence? And what does Senator Clark have to do with it all? Find out by reading Dark Secrets and Dead Reckoning.

A Offer You Can't Refuse?!?

I so enjoy reading this series!! It's quite a roller coaster ride with vicious biker gangs, mobsters, & a dirty politician. The author starts us out with a punch & continues a crazy ride of nonstop action. We get lots of moments fraught with tension, but don't despair- there is also a nice bit of romance for balance. It was so good I could not put it down till I finished. The author sets us up with a nice bridge to transition to the next book which I hope will come soon!

A story with lots of intrigue

The third book in the Red Pine Falls mysteries, is another story with great twists and plenty of mystery. This book has Abby dealing with missing ranger, Gabe, who is becoming very important to her. She ends up facing down a mobster with two big men by his side, a motorcycle gang, and the possibility of losing so many she has come to love and can't do without. Another great cozy mystery read.

Another great read that's fast paced with a great plot.

Another great installment in the series. Things should have gone back to normal but bodies turning up seem to suggest otherwise. Can she find the connection between events and perhaps save herself heartache. Mob connections, biker gangs and money laundering. Great characters that you can empathise with and a plot that will move you swiftly through the pages. Will they ever be able to bring the main "baddie" in?

Embezzling banker, biker gang and mobsters...oh my!

Bank manager Frank goes missing, Abby's ranger boyfriend gets bashed on the head while searching the forest for him. Abby is accosted at the market by two nasty bikers, and who are the men walking round town looking for Frank, and they just happen to look like typical mobsters.

Good news though, Becky's cafe is being renovated. Bad news, the skunk is back and seems to have a crush on Becky, what's a woman to do!?!

Angela writes another hit

Gave is missing, the bank manger has gone missing for different reasons, the Dr is missing, and a deadly motorcycle gang is in town. If that is not enough to interest you, throw in a mobster in town. Make sure you read the two books before this one to get to know the characters who you will be rooting for.

Good series

This series gets better with each story. While the first ones had quite a few typos they have gotten to be fewer and fewer. I am enjoying getting to know the folks of Red Pine. Hurricane Abbey is the perfect nickname for Abbey. While sometimes I can figure who's behind the murder I still want to read to be sure.

Good cozy

Lively and fast paced. Not a cookie cutter clone. Female leads aren't victims and most characters are enlightened. Not much rehash of prior series books, light entertainment, worth the read.

Wow!!

This mystery series just keeps getting better and better. Why did the ex-bank president, Frank, go speeding out of town, and why is there a gang of bikers and a mobster's son looking for him? Join Abby and her friends as they stumble onto Frank's little big secret.

Exciting

I've read the whole series. I like the characters and the setting. Clean book with only a scattering of 4-letter words.

Solid, if not amazing

More missing quotation marks causing some confusion, also a few incorrect names. But, continued good story line and character development.
