I was only six years old when my father died. Since that horrible time, my Uncle Cody became my stand-in father. He took me places like camping and hunting and fishing. We often went to get a hamburger, or just shopping together. The older I got, the more I loved to shop. He was a lifelong bachelor and lived across the street from the mother (his sister) and me for many years. He was always available to babysit and I knew I could trust him and ask him any question, and boy did I come up with some issues.
