Geronimo Stilton went to his pirate Islands with his family. Everything is going great But when they reach to Island. And everything is going wrong with them!! Super adventure

This was my first Geronimo Stilton book (read with/to my 7-year-old son), and I was very pleasantly surprised. The first thing you notice about this book, is the creative use of colours/fonts/shapes/curves of various emphasis words throughout. For example, you read the title of the resort spa, and it's in pink, curly font - you read the word excited and it's multicoloured in a bold spikey font - etc. It's quite interesting.
I also quite enjoyed the little side information (not excessively done, but a few parts here and there) that were really good at elaborating either story or factual (in the mouse world) information. For example this book was on pirates, so there's a 2-page information dictionary type part for pirate terminology and it's meaning. Later on, there's a few "famous pirates" and when they lived/why, etc. Also, the illustrations are sometimes part of the text page or a full page on its own.
The story itself was well written - exciting enough to keep the target audience interested, but not so drawn out as some stories - which serves well to keep the reader interested. There are cute little play on words throughout (again, not done excessively to annoy, but just enough to stay cute/fun), using mouse/rodents/cheese/etc. such as the mouseum (museum) or a mousetache (moustache). I enjoyed it.
Finally, the characters were fun and interesting. Each mouse in the family has their own personalities and it is fun seeing them mesh together. The main character isn't "perfect", nor claims to be - and they all have their quirks. Overall, it is a really good story and I look forward to reading more in the series, as does my son.

Maybe I just don't like listening to this kind of book aloud, but I found the whole thing annoying. My kids enjoyed it, though!

The Treasure Island by Geronimo Stilton is a modern adaptation of the “L’Isola del Tesoro'' (Treasure Island) classic by Robert Louis Stevenson. It is a book about the adventures of a mouselet in England as he seeks to uncover the secrets of an island full of hidden treasure. The book aims to show how good people win the prize, while treacherous people are punished for their evil deeds.
The author, Elisabetta Dami, started out in the publishing world as a proofreader for the family business at the young age of 13. At the age of 19, she wrote her first short stories. In 1990, after finishing her formal schooling, she found out that she was unable to have children, so she volunteered in a children’s hospital to help sick children. While caring for the ill, Dami wrote adventure stories that featured Geronimo Stilton, a mouse, as the main character. This served as the starting point of the now-famous series of Geronimo Stilton books on sale worldwide.
By the year 2014, around the same year as the first printing of this particular book, reports and literary analysts have shown that physical books were clearly in decline as the digital age began to take over. The idea of “difficult” reading was constantly challenged. Books have been termed a “minority technology” as people around the world started to gain access to reading material through the internet. As a result, older texts and classics that were not as renowned as those of Shakespeare were slowly being forgotten, lest an adaptation be made to bring these topics back to light.
Dami’s books are exciting and full of adventure. Her style is enticing, being kiddy, punny, and slightly humorous. The following review of Dami’s Geronimo Stilton adaptation of Stevenson’s Treasure Island will include a summary of the book’s contents and an evaluation of its main strengths and weaknesses.
The book opens with Jim Hawkins, a young mouselet who lives at Admiral Benbow, an inn near the coast of England. He also works there to help his mom run the inn. Their peaceful life is interrupted when Captain Bill Bones, an obnoxious pirate, decides to settle down in the inn as soon, as another pirate named Black Dog arrives and begins to fight with the Captain. However, quite defeated, Black Dog retreats. Within these chapters, lore is introduced to the most terrifying pirate in all of England, Captain Flint.
Due to circumstances surrounding the fight, Jim gains access to the trunk the captain dragged along with him to the inn. The trunk reveals in a little bag made of delicate oilskin cloth, a treasure map of the isle known as Treasure Island, an island, oddly shaped like a dragon. Jim seeks out Doctor Livesey, the town doctor, and Squire Trelawney, a benevolent aristocrat, who immediately prepare to embark on a voyage across the sea.
Their journey to Treasure Island onboard the Hispaniola is full of twists and turns. Through the eyes of young Jim Hawkins, we get to witness tales of new friendships as well as shocking betrayals of initially trustworthy mice. Ultimately, after all the conflict between the characters, the story has a mysterious but good ending.
This book is as straightforward as an adventure story can get. While reading it, I was drawn in simply by the concept of pirates and treasure, what little character development there was, and the occasional plot twists that make you have to read some statements twice. It even embodies the most well-known moral of all: Good triumphs over evil. Treasure Island in a way symbolizes the core of what an adventure book should be. There is no overly fancy language or figurative meanings; it is pure adventure and narration, plain and simple.
The Treasure Island by Geronimo Stilton serves as an excellent example of the modernization of an otherwise ancient novel first, in its language use, making it an easy read. It uses a simple vocabulary that caters to children and young adolescents who are the main audience of the Geronimo Stilton series. Additionally, it makes use of colorful text, vibrant pictures, and maps to create an atmosphere. The book was written from the perspective of Jim Hawkins, a young mouselet. As such, details are at times exaggerated, making the book humorous and interesting to the younger audience. This book uses the punny and kiddy style of writing of the author while maintaining the main plot of the original novel. It maintains the ideas of the original while lining up with the general happy themes and good morals of the Geronimo Stilton books. The book is an adaptation of a classic novel, and as such, teaches about writings, morals, and topics of interest during the 1800s.
Despite the number of good things to say about this book, it has its weaknesses. Since the book is a modern adaptation of a classic novel, multiple details were omitted, especially since it was aimed at a younger audience. It singled out important events, and as such, multiple details that would have added to the description of the scenes were missing. The atmosphere was not firmly established based on words. Additionally, certain scenes that would have been better prolonged felt rushed. As a result, this book lost some of the authenticity that would have been observed in the original novel.
Nevertheless, this book provides a valuable insight into topics from the classics. It successfully modernized the original novel and made it inviting to the younger generation by using elements currently being used to make reading more interesting. I recommend this book to children and young adolescents as the style of writing and punny language are aimed at this type of audience. I would also recommend this book to adults looking for a quick read, though I believe that reading the original novel would be better. As far as adventure stories are concerned, nothing can really beat traditional pirate shootouts and a treasure hunt across the seven seas.

They were hoping to go on a nice island hotel resort but the plane crashed into an unidentified island Geronimo knew the plane was going to crash because something bad always happens. At first they lost their plane driver but Geronimo quickly found him thinking that he was a ghost. Later he found out that he wasn’t a ghost though he was munching on clams lobster and a various variety of fruit for lunch he made the same thing but Geronimo chipped his tooth when he ate a clam there was a pearl inside that clam. Trap Geronimos cousin said that they were going to be rich so he sent Geronimo out for more clams Geronimo quickly found out that there are millions of clams at the bottom of the ocean floor piled some of the clams up in his basket and headed for land they found a map on the ocean floor saying that under a cannon shaped rock was a treasure they found the rock and looked under and found a pirate ship they found out that the pirate ship stuff was made out of gold and they found out that the treasure was the pirate ship they wanted to get off the island so they headed it out for the sea and donated the ship to a museum. The same as most of Geronimo’s books the moral of the story was don’t give up and expect the unexpected.

Shipwreck on the Pirate Islands by Elisabetta Dami is a very good book. I have always loved Geronimo Stilton books. The illustrations and colorfulness keeps me intrigued for the whole read. In this book Geronimo is told that him and his family are going on vacation. He is planning for a calm and relaxing beach vacation. While he does go to the beach it is from a crash landing. It is not calm or relaxing. This vacation was full of scary adventures. Their pilot of the plane thought he was a ghost and they use him to scare off pirates that were trying to find gold. They also had to fight off a giant crab. Once they were done fighting these battles they found a treasure map. They figured out how to get to the loot and made their way. Once they got down through all the stairs in the dark they saw it. It was an old ship in perfect condition. It was the ship of one of the most famous pirates. It had a bunch of gold things on it that were worth thousands. They took the ship back home and donated it to the museum instead of stealing the gold. This was a great book, but I have definitely read better Geronimo Stilton books. -Owen Jaenicke

Miss 5 listened to this by audiobook and enjoyed it so much that she asked for another. (After we listened to all of the audiobook Geronimo Stilton's that we could borrow, we started buying and borrowing the physical books; it helped that she was already very familiar with the characters and their quirks).
Miss 5 and I like to explore different books and authors at the library, sometimes around particular topics or themes. We try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.

Childish... Was not a fan. I think that there is so much more literature that is appropriate for readers between the ages of 9 and eleven. Good things include various fonts that pop and are visually appealing. There are survival tips and facts about pirates. Juicy vocabulary seems like it is too advanced for the babyish style book. Bad things... childish. I found the entire book to be annoying. A talking mouse whose plane goes down? I don't get it.

Thea has really done it this time: Geronimo is being dragged along by her on a vacation that also leads directly towards a possibly haunted pirate ship! Dami is at it again with the adventure and mystery in this entertaining entry to the "Geronimo Stilton" series. Make sure you have sunscreen on hand for this fantastic read!

I love how sexy geranimo stilton is displayed as especially in the naughty scenes 🤪 This book kept me engaged and excited to keep reading i just couldn’t put it down😉 I would recommend this book to children and adults😘

In this tale, Geronimo survives a plane crash with his family, has to survive on a deserted island, finds an eighteenth century pirate ship made out of gold, and discovers that he is descended from pirates. I could live without a plan crash and deserted island, but I’d kill to find to pirate ship, especially that of my ancestors!

this was the greatest book i have ever read. litterally better than shakespere tottaly my alll time favorit book you should all buy as many copies of this book that you can honestly its amazing. great for teens and mature adult. my 18 yo loved it. if you dont love this book you are crazy!

A good story. My 10 year old sister and I enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the pirate history in particular.

My daughter and I enjoyed the read, wish there was more pirates in it though.
