From the moment Alfie Brown saw Sophia Cross, he knew without a shadow of a doubt that she was meant for him. She is perfect, beautiful, and he wants to own, to possess every single one of her curves. All he has to do is make sure they meet, and then he can get her to fall in love with him. Simple enough, and he is a man who always gets what he wants.
Sophia just can’t make a decision that could affect the rest of her life. All people want her to do is pick a subject, pick a career, and then live with it for the next fifty years—but the next fifty years is a long time.
Still, when her friend begs her to go for an interview at Brown Enterprise, Sophia can’t say no. Though it is the worst interview of her life, she gets the job, much to her surprise. And her boss, Alfie, is unlike any man she has ever known. His skills draw her out, and she comes alive. She can’t say no to him. He surrounds her, makes her feel things that she really didn’t think she could.
But how will she feel when she discovers the truth of how he planned everything, from their meeting to her job?
This book has a hero that is straight out of fantasy land. If you do not like alphas that are somewhat stalkerish, this is not the book for you.
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
"What's it all about? Alfie"........Alfie,the hero ,stalker much! He sees the heroine a year ago and from that glimpse, she is his and he just has to have her.He hires a PI to follow her, hacks into all her personal business and information right down to her being a virgin from her medical records, gives her a fake non job, reduced rent at an apartment he owns, all the things stalker hero do in order to claim their woman. So yes our man Alfie is a stalker who is in love with the heroine. Actually this was a sweet and spicy little romance that was an enjoyable and quick read.
I was going to say there is a fine line between OTT alpha and stalking. Then decided no there isn't. It's rather bold. On the surface it's really sweet and caring but at the end of the day the male MC’s actions were manipulative without any consideration to how the heroine may feel. It may have worked in her favour however guys, CONSENT, it's not just a word applicable during sex btw. In everyday life it is applicable too. Now I WOULD think twice if I'm given a 1.5 million dollar apartment on a $200 monthly rent, so the heroine is TSTL goes without saying, but that also doesn't mean, I'd take that apartment if that is a charity. I'll stay at exactly what my $200/month entails me. Or may be I WILL take charity. But it will be MY decision. This MMC, despite his sweet BS has forgotten equality and respect. HE wants her to just write without any struggle. HE wants her in his bed. HE wants to marry her with 2.5 kids! He didn't even consider that she may never want kids. Once again, no protection during sex! She had EVERY choices taken away from her. Now because the MMC isn't verbally or physically abusive, and he IS making her life easier, it DOES seem sweet. And the heroine doesn't have any positive role model available. Her bff is equally TSTL who thinks they should feel special and it's hot. But let's have a look at it realistically. - MMC has very systematically taken away her choices in life. In the whole year she had NO say in anything. This is systematic emotional abuse. He's controlling her life completely, almost like a abducter, except in a mental level. - she was right the first time. She was placed and positioned. - MMC paid her first manager to give her a raise. Just imagine if that was found out. How would the other workers feel? And what would happen to her employability? She didn't earn that raise, HE bought it for her. - he bought her a publishing house. Once again, his systematic controlling over even her career which will end upon destroying her confidence because she never had any to begin with. - he HACKED into her computer! Now how you find this book romantic after this line is beyond me. He is a stalker with brains and means with zero respect for heroine's personal life or space and privacy. This was a gross breach of privacy and I'm pretty sure he can end up in jail. This is illegal probably in every country in the world! Now I'm not saying the heroine's feelings aren't real. Actually I AM saying heroine's feelings aren't real. 2 hours apart from and emotionally controlling MMC with wine and your BFF saying how HOT it was, is NOT thinking over things. Her emotions were not natural. They were triggered by events fabricated and manipulated by the MMC. Who, let me point out again for the umpteenth time, is a systematic, high functioning stalker with means and resources who has also admitted he'd NEVER leave her alone. So no. She needed space. And therapy. And real life! She also needed to report the hero to the authorities. He exploited his power. He really needed to be in jail and also needed therapy. Because you see, he doesn't see even at the end that what he did was wrong. He doesn't know WHY it was wrong either. He's sorry because she found out and was hurt by it. He needs treatment and he also needs to serve for 1) physical stalking 2) cyber stalking 3) hacking and breach of privacy. I am pretty sure at least one or all of them are punishable crime. And the heroine really needs to be kept safely away from him so she has a balanced real life where she can meet someone "real" in her own terms.
"Addicted to her" is the story of Alfie and Sophia. Alfie falls for Sophia the minute he sees her waitressing, and then manipulates her whole life so she ends up working, and ultimately falling for him. If you like curvy girls, stalker men and crazy obsessive heroes in an insta love story- this is for you. This did have an "EFH" feel to it- even with Freya and Jared added- but I don't mind healthy, well written inspirations. Some good love scenes and a sweet epilogue. Safe 3.5/5
STALKER This book gave me creeps. All the creepy things a stalker can do was a total freak show.It was like they were telling each other.
After finishing this book i started to wonder the fact the book was totally on No cheating,Virgin heroine,Old and young, steamy sex and stalking, the most important dream man except the stalking part. But still I loved this book because of the refreshing plot with a different story.Raw passion was the best.
It was like a addiction despite the creepyness. It was bit of confusing in the starting whose side was i reading but it was nice. For one full year Alfie was stalking Sophia. He did not leave her poor computer alone to.But the fact that he liked everything about her was nice.Even her being round headed. He could barely keep his head straight on the fact that he wanted her pregnant in 9 months. The book had a nice 10 year epilogue which was nice.
Sweet and steamy read, stalker obsessive hero, virginal, cute heroine. Epilogue was sweet but not that great! I expected a longer more detailed epilogue!
I really wanted to like this story more but I only got to 24% and had to give up. The whole plot didn't keep my attention and also the heroines view on life is not what I want from a character that I would love. She's still searching to fit in the crazy world we llive in and wants to walk her dogs. Also the hero waited for over a year to even speak to her. I know, I know, he wanted everything set into place before he got to actually meet her and I am alright with that but as the story continues, he wants to wait almost another year to mary her and have kids with her. To me that sounds like a lot of waiting and in such short stories I'm used to insta love that has a more fast pace. So to me, this book was a miss. Sadly...
-insta love - obsessed, stalker, OTT alpha male -celibate from the moment he saw her, but hasn't been with anyone in a while, not a man whore -first saw her a year prior, been obsessed and "keeping her safe" even since before "making his move" -14 years age gap -Virgin h -No OW Drama -HEA with epilogue One of her better book I thought.
I love a good, crazy, over the top obsessed H who is borderline stalker and that's exactly what Alfie Brown is, my only thing is why didn't he just approach her and ask her out ? I guess if he would've done that then there'd be no book. Alfie Brown is 37 years old and he's the CEO of Brown Enterprises, the successful tech company he started from the ground up. His life changed dramatically a year ago when he had a business meeting in an upscale restaurant and saw a beautiful woman who took his breath away. That night he started his plan to find out everything he could about Sophia and do whatever necessary to make her his ... forever. Sophia is 23 years old and days away from graduating college with no idea what her future holds. She worked two jobs, walking dogs during the day, and waitressing at night to pay for her education. What she really wanted to do was be an author, she loved to write but she was realistic and knew the chances of success were low. She receives a job offer from Brown Enterprises but is reluctant because she doesn't want to work for a big company. Her college adviser and her roommate/BFF, Freya convince her to at least go to the job interview. When she meets Alfie Brown she is attracted to him because he's all man and not like the immature college boys she's used to. He offers her an internship as his assistant and talks her into trying it out for a month. The more time she spends with Alfie the more she wants him especially when he seems to know her so intimately. What will Sophia do when she finds out the last year of her life has been carefully manipulated by Alfie ? Some may say his actions were stalkerish but I say he was just thorough and dedicated to getting what he wanted.
Honestly, I'm not sure how I feel about Alfie. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind stalkerish H, but Alfie was over the top manipulative stalker. Which, I mean manipulative part, I don't always like. It just gaves a feeling, like h are just a piece in chess game, when H guids her where he wanted. On the other hand, though Alfie may gone about it the wrong way, but he did this with good intentions, a little bit selfish with wanting Sophia in his life no matter what, and wishing to bring her dreams at her feet. I'm not sure how Sophia herself should feel about it all, when she finds out. Charmed or angry? Maybe both? I guess, it all goes down to the fact, if Alfie was successful to win Sophias heart, before she learns how crazily obsessive he is about her.
This had so many errors in it. And used the phrase “as well” 14 times, half of those incorrectly. The story was flat, lots of telling, no showing. Awful.
Dear god. A delicious stalker. But at only 92pages and $3.99??? Authors. For real. Don't be ridick.
3.5 Stars I enjoyed this book. I liked both hero and heroine. I will admit that I liked the heroine a bit more than the hero. I liked Alfie and Sophia as a couple, I saw the chemistry between them I just wanted more scenes. I wish this book were longer. I wanted to see more of Alfie and Sophia as a couple. The majority of the story is Alfie’s obsession on Sophia and making her his. I liked that there weren’t much drama in this story. The romance is straight to the point and the story is a nice read. I look forward to hopefully reading Freya and Jared’s story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and an enjoyable read.
As soon as Alfie Brown saw Sophia Cross waitressing at a restaurant, an obsession formed. Alfie knows Sophia is the one for him. He has a plan in place to make her his but will it work out? Sophia Cross is an aspiring author. When her best friend convinces her to attend a job interview she reluctantly agrees. Being Alfie Browns intern isn’t how she thought it would be and her growing attraction for him becomes undeniable.
Alfie saw Sophia one night when he was at a restaurant and since then he has been infatuated with her and now he is just in love with her.
For the past year he has watched over her, made sure she had everything she would need. And now it's time to make his move and get her to fall in love with him
This was a totally OTT Alphamale obsessed with his women and would do anything to make her feel happy and safe.
To be honest I really liked this one, it was really Hot. Alfie is an amazing man who truly loved Sofia, at first I thought it was some kind of twisted desire u know how rich men tend to own every single thing they set their minds on. But no, Alfie really loved Sofia it was the real thing. The reason I gave this 4 stars is because it was so short, I enjoyed the story and I would've liked it more if it was longer and if it had more events.
Not a bad story. Plus sized virgin girl. Who doesn't have an idea of what to do with her life. Actually the rest of her life. Attracts a wealthy computer genius. Who really is oblivious towards his attraction. The genius is older of course. Hot. It's a given. Who knows how to please her in every way. He of course has stalker like tendencies with her. And she is utterly clueless. There were some editing issues that I picked up. But I still finished the story.
I liked this book. Ok, there are some errors that some may not be able to get past, but not me. I just love psycho, stalker, possessive alphas and Sam Cresant gives us that in abundance with a little sweet thrown in for good measures. So if you like these kinds of heroes than I definitely recommend.
°Virgin heroine °The hero was obsessed with the heroine so I assume he wasn't with anyone else after meeting her °Switching POVs °Heroine is 23, hero is 37 °No cheating °Hero's sexual/romantic past was not mentioned °Brief separation °Free of OW/OM drama °Intimate scenes only between hero and heroine °Epilogue: 10 years later
This is such an awesome read. It's short but I loved it so much !! You should definitely read this !! Alfie is so amazing !! Stalker-ish ways and all !! You can't help but love him !!
Nothing better than an Alpha taking control of what he wants. Alfies and Sophias story was one full of sexiness and sweetness. Always nice to read about relationships other than the "physically" perfect woman.
Overall enjoyable story. Alfie obsessive behavior toward Sophia in some circle would be considered stalking. Loved the way he helped Sophia see her worth even though he used sneaky methods.
I gave this book 4⭐️ even though I think the story is amazing the stalkery part of the book creeped me a little bit. Alfie wasn’t one of those stalkers that want to hurt someone but still it was a little creepy.
