I wanted this, and I had no idea what had come over me. Maybe it was part of being on the run, but I wanted to sin. Wanted him to make me forget everything—my past, my mistakes…hell, even my own damn name.
This latest standalone by Kendall Ryan is packed full of panty melting steam and is simply an incredibly fun read. I couldn’t get enough of Luke and Charlotte. If you love a good "opposites attract/enemies to lovers" romance, then this one is sure to please you!!
Charlotte Freemont is a New York socialite who is on the run from the life that was mapped out for her by her family and her need to please her parents, who never seemed to have much interest in their daughter. Never could she have guessed that she would find her place in life in a small southern town in Texas, called Shady Grove. When her expensive sports car breaks down in Shady Grove, she is forced to spend a week there while she waits for the local mechanic to fix her car. She runs into a drop dead gorgeous but utterly annoying man and his identical twin while having lunch at the local diner. Both Luke and Charlotte jump to the wrong conclusions about each other based on preconceived stereotypes but when given the chance to spend some time together, they realize just how wrong their first impressions were.
Even though they’re practically at each other’s throats, in the beginning, neither of them can deny the building attraction between them. And soon they realize there is no amount of self-control that can keep them apart. Knowing that Charlotte’s time in Shady Grove is coming to a quick end, they both decide to just have some fun and wildly decadent sex with each other. Charlotte is bound for Los Angeles to start her new life and Luke isn’t about to get his heart broken by another woman who will eventually leave him behind.

3 Sexy Stars
Sweet, flirty, sexy... This is one of those books. And I liked it. Even if it's not the usual book that makes me 100% connected to the story, I thought it's enough to make me smile and swoon a little bit.
The story revolves around New York city girl Charlotte Freemont and handsome country guy Lucas "Luke" Wilder. Their paths crossed one day when Charlotte's car broke down and she was stranded in a small town in Texas, the place where Luke lives along with his twin-brother and his sister. They didn't have a pleasant first meeting though as they spent most of their time bickering. Charlotte finds Luke arrogant while Luke thinks she's bratty. Because there wasn't any other mechanic that could fix Charlotte's car, she was forced to stay in this small town for days. That's when the time when she spent more time with Luke and got to know him better.
If you are a fan of light NA romance that is not high on angst and with no unnecessary drama, then this would be a good bet for you. The characters have this undeniable chemistry that is noticeable from start to finish and their dialogues are fun to read. Plus, I cannot ignore the fact that Luke is one admirable lead. He's not a stereotypical hero that we usually read about-- manwhore, conceited, possessive... and so on. He's just Luke. Simple, kind, and admirable man. I didn't initially warm up to Charlotte, though. In the first few chapters, she was portrayed as a snob and spoiled brat heroine but I was glad that her character developed in the later parts of the book.

➦Well, I don't. I'll tell you what I do like though. I like this book. lol
➦teee-heee... Don't be like that! Anywhooooooo. This trope is the "city meets country" (I totally just made this up but I'm totally making a category like that on my blog woop woop!) where a city girl is on the run and gets stuck due to car trouble in a small town. She meets a lot of cool people there, of course, including a certain sexy stranger. Well, more like a rude arrogant one at first.
➦I have no idea why I put that gif in there. Xept I can't stop staring. There was no spoon licking involved. But there was licking involved. ANYWAYS, people, I digress. So you have yourselves a hero with abandonment issues and a heroine who is tired of men telling her how to live.
➦If you like "city meets country" type of stories (yes, that's a thing now) as well as romances with an expiration date on them, then this one's for you. It's a great weekend read, fast-paced and light-hearted. There were some really nice moments but everything was a bit too much too fast for me in this one and some magic was missing. Overall, enjoyable read with some interesting characters. Oh, and whiskey.

Yep, I was also shocked… *lol*
She even had brain (she was actually clever), and she was NOT a virgin!
You wouldn’t believe it, but she did have sex in the past and had NOT only 1 bf with tiny d*ck.
Boring?.. ;-)
He wasn’t your “usual” Alpha. He didn’t command her around, didn’t want to breed her (they used condoms, yeah!) and he didn’t take her decisions from her.
Meh?.. ;-)
Bummer! -> there was NO sl*t-shaming and no scenes with OWs, even no flashbacks about sex with OWs.
Totally unsexy?.. ;-)
The chemistry level wasreal low to middle. I mean of course it wasn’t that hot, coz she DIDN’T cut holes in her t-shirt with her puckered nipples and her arousal DIDN’T drip down her shoes…
She even didn’t make big eyes (didn’t bite her lip and didn’t whimper) when she saw his d*ck – she had no doubts if it would fit.

I thought this was a cute story. It was a pretty fast paced and the MC's got together quickly but I liked that there was still that fight between them before that happened. Luke and Charlotte were very different from one another, she's a city girl and he's a small town boy, but I liked the banter that came from them being so different. Charlotte definitely held her own against the brash country boy and it was fun to see. Especially when those fights turned in to chemistry-exploding smexy scenes.

3.75 Small Town Charm Stars
Sexy Stranger is a standalone and is the latest Kendall Ryan read. Kendall Ryan books always puts a smile on my face. Her light hearted reads are easy to devour and will leave you with all the happy tingles.
Sexy Stranger is a modern book with a runaway Heroine and a whiskey drinking hero. Charlotte’s car breaks down in a small town and she isn’t happy about that. She’s the rich gal that is opposite everything of what the town represents.
Luke lives life and loves what he does, he makes whiskey, what’s not to love? I kind of like Luke’s job, it’s different and it kind of made me want to break out a bottle and sip on some while I read this book. I kind of wished I read more of the process in the book.
What I liked about Luke and Charlotte is that they don’t hit it off at first. I like the banter and bickering between the two and added some nice tension. She’s the classy girl that doesn’t need help from a “man”, so when Luke tries to help Charlotte out she dismisses him.
Luke is a sweet alpha Hero. I like how slowly Charlotte and Luke warm up to each other.
Overall, this is a sweet easy light story. If you are a fan of Kendall Ryan books, you will not be disappointed.

Oh my oh my, Kendall Ryan. I never did learn and I keep coming back to you. If I described her books it is like when you get stuck on an airport waiting for your flight, or when you want to sit on a coffee shop and wait for your friend to pop up, this is the time filler you need, her books are what you definitely need.
Characters are very basic, but what got my interest piqued is the snarky comebacks from Charlotte, she is very sassy I tell you. Small town guy meets big city girl of course we've all manage to snag this storyline. Charlotte's car broke down when she was passing by a small town in Texas. Luke got off the wrong foot when he met Charlotte, got into an heated argument and Charlotte thought what a big A-hole he was. But of course it was just the first impression, contrary to what Charlotte thinks, Luke is the better twin brother, she didn't just know it yet.
Soon the two just made a truce and stared all over, turns out that they were almost perfect for each other. Almost, Charlotte has a secret she just didn't want to tell Luke yet. Luke has commitment issues but he feels like Charlotte might just be the one, but their together has an expiration date.
Luke just needs to prove to Charlotte that staying is worth it.
Steamy sex ahead ladies, I think that's why I am always coming back with Kendall, lol. HEA guaranteed and your stomach will hurt in laughing. 3 stars for this baby.

SEXY STRANGER was FREAKING FANTASTIC! Sexy, charming, and full of witty banter, I couldn't get enough of Luke and Charlotte! The perfect mix of humor, steam, and angst, made this enemies-to-lovers romance IMPOSSIBLE to put down! When it comes to Kendall Ryan, I don't need any preface whatsoever. If she wrote it, I'm reading it, simple as that. It's rare to find an author where you've built so much trust, you just know that she'll take you where you want to go. If I've been bogged down with emotional upheaval, I trust that Ms. Ryan will get me out of that funk and take me to my happy place...
Making me laugh...

With her vivid and seductive prose, Ryan lures readers to feel and embrace the beauty and sexiness of small town romance with a friends to enemies vibe or in this case opposites attract. Maybe it’s simplicity of small town romance that makes me a complete sucker when it comes to these types of tropes and the fact that Kendall Ryan can bring her own freshness and put a fun twist on it, is what makes Sexy Stranger so appealing and charming.

Sexy Stranger de Kendall Ryan fue justo lo que buscaba, una lectura fresca, sin complicaciones y que no me hiciera pensar, solo que consiguiera distraerme durante unas horas en esta cuarentena.
Obviamente alguien con ojos en la cara se dara cuenta de que esta novela no es la mas magnifica o prometedora, es simplemente el epitome de un momento entretenido y poco mas, pese a eso, no hay que subestimar este tipo de historias, ya que alguna que otra vez un libro aparentemente simple consigue sorprender y resultar en una novela increible.
Luke y Charlotte son una pareja agradable, podian haber mejorado bastante si su historia no hubiese sido un poco superficial y precipitada, ademas me hubiera gustado mucho de haber mas informacion sobre el pueblo, creo que eso le podia haber dado un toque muy bonito a la lectura.
En definitiva, Sexy Stranger es una buena opcion de lectura si decides decantarte por algo sencillo y sin drama innecesario, ademas ya inicie la siguiente parte y es aun mas corta, veremos que tal es.

Rich city girl meets sexy small town former sports star! Sexy stranger is a quick light-hearted read that’s sure to entertain romance readers. It's a great mix of opposites attract and enemies to lovers.
Here's the breakdown: Charlotte and Luke meet in the small town of Shady Grove when her car breaks down on the way to Los Angeles. Luke and every other resident of the small town are curious about the pretty city slicker, but these two immediately butt heads. Luckily, that doesn't last long and their chemistry explodes.
What I loved: Kendall Ryan knows how to do sexy and do it WELL!
The premise – small town hero meets sexy city slicker. This two are like oil and water when they meet. The banter and mild insults that result are so much fun!
The main characters – I liked them both. Especially Luke! He’s BBF perfection. Their back stories and relationship developments were satisfying. The chemistry is palpable and off the charts.

This book was just really pleasant. There were: cute bantering, no unnecessary drama, a sweet town that had literally 0 petty, mean people in it, adorable family, supportive best friend, no OMW, etc. Overall, everyone was just so pleasant and nice. I loved how the town embraced the “new girl” and it was all bubbly and fluffy.
So what was the conflict then?
Was it the parents whom the heroine was avoiding throughout the whole book? Nope, not really. They actually didn’t hold her back when she decided to leave them and start anew. Their only issue was that they were crappy parents (they gave her money but didn’t really love her the way she wanted to be loved).
Was it the ex-fiance? Nah, he’s nice.
So I guess the problem was mainly internal. The girl felt suffocated from her rich, snobby parents and her rich, nice (but lukewarm) former fiancé. She had to learn to make her own money and gain her own independence. I respect that. I did wish this part was explained more though – her strive independence. I waned to see her actually realistically fight and struggle with it, and develop as a result from that. She didn’t really. It was pretty smooth-sailing.
On the other hand, the main guy’s conflict was trust issues. Understandable, considering his past of abandonment.
So this was basically a simple, love story. It was truly sweet. I thought it was amazing to see a town with so little hate and darkness. Not to be a pessimist or anything, but usually, when I’m reading a NA/adult fiction, there would always be those few mean characters who actively tried to ruin the main characters’ happiness (they were usually the jealous, petty girls or judgmental people in town – but nope, this town was just filled with GOOD-hearted people). I applaud the author for this breath of fresh air where I didn’t have to worry about that unnecessary drama. However, I think this book also lacked depth. I thought the romance and characters were sweet and adorable, but I don’t feel in love with them or invested in them. I just… like them. They were pleasant, sweet, and simple. So that’s why I’m giving this book 3 stars. It was cute, but it did not quite win my heart.

Another fun, fast-paced, laugh-out-loud, sweet, sexy romance from Kendall Ryan.
Kendall has a really strong brand and I always know what to expect when I pick up one of her books. Sexy Stranger ticked all the usual boxes and it was a quick, entertaining read with a great HEA.
Luke Wilder owns and runs a whiskey brewing company with his brother and sister and he has lived a small town existence for most of his life. He had a promising football career and he went away to college but returned home after his father passed away, to run the family business with his twin, Duke (hardy, har. Luke and Duke are actually nicknames but it was funny!)
He has been burnt in love so when sexy stranger Charlotte rolls into town with her expensive car and her feisty mouth, he has no interest in pursuing the spark of attraction that ignites between them. Charlotte is on the run from those who seek to control her life and the last thing she wants is some redneck hothead pushing her buttons. Despite the fact our couple got off on the wrong foot, they soon make amends and quickly agree to a fling. Both know it can't go anywhere because he is stuck there and she is leaving.
The banter was great between our couple and Luke was swoon worthy in the extreme. I enjoyed the setting of the book and the whiskey business was unique. I enjoyed watching Charlotte relax and let her hair down and the romance was electric. Kendall writes great romantic/sexy times.
An inability to properly communicate had the potential to rip our couple apart but all ended up in a good place.
The writing and pacing were solid and it was a thoroughly enjoyable read.
Actual 3.5 stars.

Kendall Ryan knocks the romance out of the park with Sexy Stranger.
Charlotte is a society girl from New York where her life was controlled by her parents and their place in society, which they value more than their relationship with their daughter. Charlotte flees her gilded cage only to breakdown on route to her best friend, Valentina, in LA.
Shady Grove is a picture perfect small town where everyone knows everyone else and there is always someone to lend a hand and strangers stand out like sore thumbs. Yet, everything within Charlotte clicks into place when she spends time in Shady Grove - especially after meeting the delicious Luke.
With twins names Luke and Duke anyone else immediately think of Dukes of Hazard or is that just me showing my age, lol.
Luke has had his fair share of relationship problems in the past mostly linked to how small town life can make some people feel trapped. Projecting his issues onto Charlotte, he isn't willing to risk any future fallout by making himself vulnerable, essentially breaking both his own heart and Charlotte's in the process.
The relationship between Luke and Charlotte is full of sparks, although it does progress quickly, it is effortless, they quite simply fit together in all aspects of their lives.
I adored Luke's family dynamic and am crossing my fingers Duke and Molly get their own stories in the future.
Charlotte's character growth through Sexy Stranger was astounding, I loved watching her realise who she was and what she wanted from life.
Sexy Stranger proves everything happens for a reason, finding where you belong and who you belong with ♥

There are so many amazing novels available to read and not nearly enough time. Sexy Stranger by Kendall Ryan is definitely a book you’ll want to clear your calendar for. The blurb snagged my attention and I’ve previously enjoyed this author’s work so I figured it was a safe bet. Kendall has hit another novel home run and provided us with some of her best writing yet.
Who doesn’t enjoy a spicy spin of the damsel in distress storyline?! This enemies-to-lovers romance was smokin’ from the start. As soon as Charlotte finds herself stranded in the tiny town of Shady Grove, she cannot wait to leave. It’s nothing against the small Texas city but she’s running away from a past that’s chasing her fast. Plus, Luke’s infuriating good looks and cocky attitude drive her crazy.
Charlotte is a city-girl with something to prove. Luke is a downhome country boy that loves his roots right where they are. These two are polar opposites but that doesn’t make it impossible for a connection to blossom. Even if they manage to climb the mountain of differences between them, Charlotte’s departure is nonnegotiable.

It has been 7 whole days since my last book by Kendall Ryan. Let me just tell you, this was WAY better than the last book - Hitched: Volume Three.
Sexy Stranger was such a good read. Heck, the romance is what I needed on this dreadful morning. No, the weather isn't crappy one bit. However, I am at work and all I want to do is SLEEP. Nap maybe every other hour but basically I'm exhausted.
...and yet, I needed to get to know Luke and Charlotte. Their romance gave me life this morning. I just wished this book was a smidge longer because I flew through this audio. Ugh, okay, so these two had obvious chemistry. From the moment these two first bantered - it was love! They definitely judged each other straight off before getting to know one another - which is pretty comment when strangers meet.
Thankfully, they started to get to know one another and I wasn't disappointed one bit. Their romance was sweet and REAL. Zero fluff was involved and I absolutely loved it. If I didn't already listen to the novella after this book, I would totally dive into it. Heck, I could still do a little re-read if my heart desires (and it might).
Low-key need the next book of this series ASAP!

Instalove can work. But, in order for it to work it has to be well written, with characters you believe in and a situation in which you believe that the 2 people in the relationship would be compelled to act instantly on their attraction. It's the latter that tends to cause the most issue for me, as it is the compelled to act now situation that often falls short.
In this, it worked and it worked well. I wanted them to work out, and I was invested in how they were going to handle the situation. Yes, they fell for one another quickly, but they didn't have time to see one another once a week, so the timeline, and the way the characters were written worked for a believable "fast" romantic beginning.
Charlotte and Luke. You believe in them, and in their attraction and connection. You believe that they would be willing to pursue something with one another, even though she is only in his small town until her car can be repaired. Maybe a bit cliche, but as this once happened to me, I believe the stranded in a small town with one mechanic story.
Kendall Ryan is becoming a favorite of mine. I like her writing, I relate to her characters, and I believe in them. All of this together makes for an enjoyable read. It's also great going into a book by an author who you know you are going to love.

"3 Sexy Stars"
This was a nice "Sexy" story! I enjoyed Luke and Charlotte a lot! As well as the second characters. The book was really sweet and funny in a small town. I loved their chemistry and how witty they were with each other. They gave as good as they got. It was kind of a foreplay for them before getting dirty and hot between the sheets! And ohhhh man they were HAWT!
This was a nice "Sexy" story! I enjoyed Luke and Charlotte a lot! As well as the second characters. The book was really sweet and funny in a small town. It was just all kinds of sassy, adorable, funny, not to mention crazy hot, and at the same time, it still has that substance and vibe you crave in a good romance novel. I immediately became entranced with Luke and Charlotte's story. It's an enemies-to-lovers romance that will have you clinging on to every scene and everything that will happen next and then trying to push them to go for it already, rather than leaving you pissed off your head with what's going on. I never felt a single ounce where either one of the characters were playing hard to get, which is usually one of the things that start irritating me with this kind of romance trope. So I really dug this book. HARD.

Charlotte Freemont wasn't supposed to stop over or even be in Shady Grove if not for her car breaking down on her. Now she finds herself in a town in the middle of nowhere where everybody knows everybody's business and they could easily pick out the newbies. And she clearly stands out with her prissy clothes, her shiny heels, and her hundred thousand dollar car. All she wanted was to get away from her old life as far and as fast as she could. Now, she's stuck in a place that couldn't be more opposite than what she was used to. And for Charlotte, it was like seeing and experiencing life with brand new senses all over again.
Luke Wilder was not a guy who goofed around nor trusted easily, especially to those who were new in his town. With what he and his family went through, he couldn't afford to do so. And with what he experienced first hand, people like Charlotte Freemont don't stay long in a place like Shady Grove. It's just a place to pass over and move on from. The moment his eyes landed on Charlotte, he disliked her stuck up nature right away, regardless of how attractive she found her to be. She reminded him so much of the times he got burned and left behind by those he loves. He knew deep inside that she was the type of girl who would come to disdain his town and scramble to leave the second she can. There was just no point for him to be friendly or welcoming.
But then days passed by as Charlotte's car couldn't be fixed right away and these two got to know and spend more time with one another. It was only supposed to be a fling. A whirlwind of a weekend while Charlotte's car was getting worked on by the only mechanic in town. It was like a mini vacation of sorts for the city girl and a huge de-stressing mode for the small town boy.
Neither of them expected the undeniable attraction and sparks that flew whenever they bantered back and forth. Or that special connection they felt for one another whenever they talked about anything and everything. No matter how much they told their hearts not to get involved, there was no stopping the emotions they brought out of one another. Everything between them just seemed to have a ticking time bomb, especially the time Charlotte has left in her stay at Shady Grove.
I fell head over heels for Luke and his sweet, subtly romantic ways. He's the kind of man who certainly will swoop you off your feet and make you swoon your panties off. Seriously. Those small gestures he makes will completely melt you into a huge puddle of Wilder Whiskey. I loved how guarded he was with Charlotte, even more so when he finally shared pieces of his past and heart with us. But you'll just love him more and more, the deeper you get into the story.
And Charlotte. I actually enjoyed the way she ran from her old life. The way she wanted to learn to be her own person and earn what she actually worked for. I truly felt the way she yearned for a brand new start somewhere that her life in New York couldn't taint or touch. It was awe-inspiring, to be honest. Doing what this woman did seriously takes major balls.
This book was just so much more than I expected it to be and I think that just became the cherry on top of such a sizzling, fun-filled storyline already. An utterly sexy and addictive quick read, Kendall Ryan will have you drawn to the characters and plot of Sexy Stranger in no time. Definitely recommending this to those who are looking for instant good vibes and fluttering butterflies in their tummy!

I really enjoyed Sexy Stranger by Kendall Ryan.
From the first few pages I knew this was going to be a great read.
I loved Charlotte and Luke. They were wonderful characters that made me laugh with their banter, I found them entertaining all throughout the book.
The secondary characters also were fun to get to know, they added to my enjoyment and I'm hoping Luke's siblings get their own book in the near future.
Overall, Sexy Stranger is a fun, entertaining and steamy read with lovable characters that will touch your heart and leave you full of happy feels.
