The most twisted love story ever told comes to a close. Can Edwyn and Virginia possibly live happily ever after, or does that only happen in fairytales?
OMG i love this ending i was crying by page 11 and i didn't stop till the end so Doug Wagner actually managed to make me cry in sympathy with a dying serial killer who is in love with a sex doll its bloody crazy and disturbing and out of this world experience and this was the only issue where they didn't kill off someone with weird expressions on their faces that turned me off the comic i wanted the faces of people dying to be more realistic then that but oh well
Plastic #5 by Doug Wagner brings the wild ride of this dark romantic comedy horror series to a satisfying and unforgettable close, delivering a finale that manages to blend emotional depth with gut-punch action and plenty of offbeat character work. The story revolves around Edwyn, a former serial killer whose obsessive and unconventional love for Virginia (a sex doll) drives him to extremes in the face of danger, culminating in a final confrontation that is as surprising as it is inevitable
I believe that we are all impacted by those around us and the interactions we have. Edwyn is a simple man that only wants to enjoy his time with his girl, Virginia. When he needs help getting her back he allows Gwen to tag along and get her own revenge. In the end, everyone changes and is shaped by this encounter.
If you are in serial killers that are out for bloody revenge then this is a story for you. I loved it!! I found it equal parts, twisted, awesome, interesting, fun, weird and disturbing. Loved it and I highly recommended!
I wish this series wasn't so short :( I got addicted to the craziness of it all and the art is so awesome I wanted this to keep going. It is a solid ending, and it made me pretty sad but also hopeful. I hope the creators bring this back sometime, it truly deserves to be continued!
