Gisele St Claire has done it again with another hit “Rule Him”. A phenomenal, forbidden teacher/student taboo read. This is the first book in the school of seductions series. A rich girl, Candy Appleton, who aspires to be an English teacher but really wants to write “THE Bestseller Novel” falls in love with her teacher who loves books and anything to do with school, especially English which is what he is teaching at Candy’s school. Parker is from an affluent family but he likes to live off of what he makes and get by under the radar and pay his own way. Parker comes from a very well-known publishing company but he chose to be a teacher.
These two meet and its instant chemistry, instant heat but its so forbidden, so taboo. Both of them go through such a roller coaster of emotions- there are obstacles once they decide to embark on a forbidden relationship and the twists and turns are many in this story. Candy and Parker have so much in common even though they are not super close in age. But age is just a number and the heart knows what the heart wants and the heart wants each other. I loved this steamy taboo read and I cannot wait to read more of this type of sizzling insta-lust/insta love story. Ms. St Claire has a way with words and with her characters. Very well written!!

Rule Him by Gisele St Claire a sparklingly good five-star read. This is the first book in the school of seductions series, and well it starts as it means to go on, hot and heavy and definitely hot for teacher. I attended catholic school with nuns and even I had a crush on a hot teacher, so I know everyone must, if you did then this book is for you, showing you what you have been dreaming about for all those years, if not then you need showing what all the fuss was about.
Parker Newall thinks he has a plan, he thinks teaching older teens in a mixed high will be more hunger for teaching and less for pre-teens with crushes, but what he doesn’t expect is for him to get a crush, on one of his students who is as sweet as the apple she is named after, and we all know the teacher deserves an apple.
Candy Appleton is a good girl, she popular and hot, and her parents hope she will follow in her mother’s footsteps taking over the business, but Candy has other secret plans, and they involve English writing and possibly teaching, all she needs is some extra tutoring, and when your teacher is as hot as Mr Newall, she can think of nothing better.
This book is a hot and heavy short, but there is a proper story as well, it’s got great characters and a real depth. Gisele St Claire doesn’t disappoint.

She's a senior in high school and weeks away from turning eighteen. Her Mother is making her birthday party the social event of the year not matter how Candy feels about it. Candy loves literature, books are her passion and she dreams of being an English teacher and writing a novel. Parker Newell is the only heir to a multi million dollar publishing empire. Much to his Father's dismay instead of working for him Parker is a high school English teacher. He was engaged to his high school sweetheart but they soon realized they no longer loved one another and broke up. Parker has never been tempted by a student before until he meets Candy and he is blown away by her intelligence and her love of literature. This book was just okay for me, Candy was okay in the beginning but then she got really annoying and Parker was a little bit of a whiner.

Holy Wow! This book is amazing! I was foolish in starting it late at night, considering I was up until 4am finishing it. It was impossible to put down! I can't get enough of forbidden romances. The fact that Candy was a virgin made it even better! The chemistry between Candy and her English teacher aka Parker was off the charts. I loved the resistance Parker was showing, but Candy worked hard to break it. Watching Parker struggle with how Candy changed, was even better! I loved Candy's best friend, Larissa! I wish I had one like her! I don't think Candy and Parker could have pulled off their secret romance without her covering for Candy, especially those steamy moments, which again...Holy Wow! Those steamy scenes were some of the hottest I've read! So good! I absolute love when authors give us the full set of details. I am going to dive right into the next book of the series! I hope it's just as good!

Gisele St. Clair is quickly becoming one of my absolute favourite authors. She writes short, very steamy, well-written and just plain delicious romances.
This latest book, Rule Him is a student/teacher romance (my weakness!) and it is really well done. Entertaining, thoughtful, incredibly hot romance between a young English teacher and his 18 year old student.
Candy and Parker not only have sizzling hot chemistry, but they have a lot of interests in common and build a genuine relationship from the ground up despite their age difference and the forbidden nature of their romance. Loved this book!
Standalone. HEA. No cliffhanger.

Rule Him is the first book in the School Of Seduction Series from Gisele St. Claire. This story does not end in a cliffhanger and is a student/teacher romance.
Candy is from the Upper East side and to say her parents are rich is an understatement. Candy however is almost about to turn eighteen and wants nothing more than for her parents to see her as the young adult she is growing into. She is the talk of Lincoln High because of her upcoming eighteenth birthday part and the school prom. All Candy wants to think about however is improving her grade in English and looking for a tutor. It is her final semester in high school and she has the ambtion to write a novel one day or to teach English. However her favorite English teacher has gone out of school to have a baby and in walks her new teacher Mr Newell. He is the hottest thing to hit Lincoln High since sliced bread. Candy is not immune to his good looks and is instantly attracted to him. However there is just no way in her mind that her English teacher can be the least bit interested in her. Oh if only she could hear the thoughts running through Parker Newell's mind.
I really loved this story. It is equal parts sweet and sexy. I liked both the characters of Parker and Candy equally and they have quiet the story to tell. They both come from money though Parker has decided to live on his own with no help from his parents or the money they refuse to stop giving him. Candy just wants to do what she wants to do with her life and not be treated like a child by her parents. It's not long though after Parker offers to tutor Candy that they both realize there is more to them than a student, teacher relationship and the sparks fly. However you have to read yourself and see how the story goes.
I am quickly becoming a fan of Gisele St. Claire. This is the fourth book I have read that she has written and I've loved them all. If you love student/teacher romances this is one you do not want to miss.

For instance, she wants her 18th bithday party to be Beauty and the Beast themed and a library for her birthday present. Instead her mother is planning a high society bash without her friends and giving her an expanded wardrobe for the clothes Candy isn't interested in. Candy dreams of becoming a writer and English teacher and her parents want her to go into her mother's design business.
Then she gets a new teacher, Mr. Newell for English who is so hot, she often daydreams instead of focusing on class. She asks for a tutor to help expand her knowledge and Mr. Newell offers to teach her. Their session bring them closer together and they have to fight a forbidden attraction.
Parker is the new English teacher at Lincoln High. He is handsome so the girl students are very attracted to him and even try making moves on him. He even left his last job after being accused of inappropriate relations with a student which were unfounded. At first he thinks Candy's request for a tutor is her way of trying to get closer to him but after talking with her he realizes that she is serious in her love for writing and English. She is the star pupil that every teacher dreams of having. As they get closer through their session, he starts to feel very inappropriate desires for Candy. Ones that could get him fired.
Will the two be able to fight their desires and keep to a teacher/ student relationship or will they fall into the taboo teacher dating student dilemma? This is a good book with feelings and passion. I voluntarily received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

This was a quick read. It was okay. Candy is ready to grow up and wants to follow her dreams but while she loves her parents she doesn't feel like they are listening to her and what she wants. She comes from money and they have some expectations. Parker is the new English teacher for the last semester. Candy wants to write her own book and become an English teacher so she has been doing extra tutoring and asks Parker if he knows of anyone. He decides to tutor her himself as he is impressed with her want to do so.They are both attracted to one another and while they try not to show it, it ends up becoming apparent to the other in the tutoring session. Candy then decides to pursue Parker some as her 18th birthday is just a week away. They struggle with doing what they consider to be right with what they are feeling. The sex is explicit and the sexual tension and seduction plays a big part of the story. There was a little bit of action in the story as well. Things for the most part are fast paced and things happen quickly between Candy and Parker. There wasn't necessarily as much depth as I enjoy and look for in the characters but it wasn't a bad story or bad characters. The story is a nice, quick, dirty little read so if that is what you want this is perfect for that.

Her new English teacher, Parker, comes from an affluent family, but has a dark secret. They both know that nothing can happen between them but that doesn't stop Parker from getting jealous or from Candy baiting him with new sexy outfits and teasing. When things happen at her birthday party, the relationship between Parker and Candy gets explosive and passionate. For a while, they are able to hide their relationship, at least until prom. When they are able to express their love for each other, not only to themselves and each other, but to her family, things take an interesting turn. This is one of the smartest student/teacher romances that I have ever read. I fell in love with both characters right away. Candy...bravo to Ms. St. Claire for that fabulous name! Candace Appleton! I love it!!! She is to mature for any of the boys her age. In walks the new English teacher. They have instant chemistry, physically and of intellect. She wants to be a writer and he recognizes her passion from their first study session. Their romance plays out so organically. Of course being a forbidden love type of book, they run into obstacles, but again, so beautifully written. It is with a satisfied sigh that I whole heartedly recommend this yummy book!

A forbidden romance between a high school virgin senior and her teacher. She's wealthy gorgeous and he's an alpha ultra sexy male. Candy's dream is to be a writer and she gets Parker Newell to tutor her. Their chemistry is amazing and when she turns 18 she sets out to and does seduce him. Their relationship becomes stronger and develops substance. A cute sexy short read that is fun. Gisele is a grat writer and that is very evident in this book. I would have loved for it to be longer so we could get into more character development. Maybe another book? I voluntarily reviewed an arc copy of this book

A hot steamy taboo romance between a senior and her teacher. Although Parker is from an affluent family he is trying to live his life his way and pay his own way.
The story line is good the characters are almost fairy tale like in their lifestyles as I am sure most of us have never had the perks that Candy does. It is a quick steamy read with a HEA that shows us a different side of life.

I received this book as an arc for a honest review and I can honest say that this was a great book to read. Candy is in her last year of school ,and she feels that her friends and family dont think of her as a grown up they still see her as a little girl for the rest of her life. Parker thinks that it should be a normal year of teaching high school kids ,but he never believed that he would meet a girl like candy that shows him that she is more woman in her that no one else can see and he plans to show her just how beautiful she really is . This book is a must read can't wait for more from this author.

Love Gisele St. Claire so was excited for this book and it didn't disappoint. This book was hot with a plot line. Loved how Parker was determined to prove to her that their relationship wasn't just for the moment. For her age, Candy showed a high maturity. Great book!

Short and sweet.
A teacher and student relationship. I was looking for taboo books to read and came upon this one. 😅 A really short and sweet book.
It's a very fast pace read. Of course it's a taboo relationship so I was expecting more drama, but there wasn't. Candy is a rich senior girl who would love to write a novel. Parker is the new English teacher at Lincoln high school. He started tutoring her, and everything is history. The steamy scenes are hot. Parker is a dirty talker. I gave it a 4 because I didn't really see how their love develops. I want to see how they fell in love because it just looks like lust and attraction. Besides that it's not bad for a short read.

Rule Him is perfect for those who want to spend an hour or two reading a forbidden teacher/student romance story.
I’m certain if Mr Newell was my English teacher at school that I would have paid more attention in class, or maybe he would have been a distraction…. who knows! There is an abundance of chemistry between him and Candy so be prepared for some hot sexy times.
The story around Candy and Parker was good and enjoyed reading this from start to finish. I award Rule Him 3.5 stars and I’m now looking forward to reading the next book in this School of Seduction series, which is Teach Her.

This story was super sexy and hot. Candy has lead a privileged life. She goes with the flow just to make things easier. She doesn't care about the finer thing, she loves book. and wants to be a writer one day. Parker is the new teacher, he is sinfully hot and brilliant, not to mention comes from a wealthy family. Both have an instant connection to one another, yet they will not act on it. Until finally it becomes to much. I loved how Candy and Parker have so much in common even though they are years apart. Their chemistry is off the charts. I really enjoyed this one!

This is the 1st book in a new series called “School of Seduction”, by this very talented author. Parker is the new English teacher, and Candy is his student. There is instant chemistry between these two. No spoilers, give this one a go you will not be disappointed!
This story is taboo with a student / teacher forbidden relationship, but is a truly phenomenal story. Once again Gisele has drawn me in and immediately had me hooked and intrigued from the very beginning. Cannot wait to read more in this series!!

Honestly this was not was I was expecting… I get that it’s a short novella and it’s supposed to be quick. But the characters were so poorly written and the smut was horrid, it just made me cringe the entire time.

Every book I've read by this author so far I've absolutely loved.
This one was just as hot, sexy and just as well written too. I thought the characters were fantastic, the plot was brilliant and it was a good read over all.
My issue with it though is I felt as though near the end the author rushed to finish the story, certain things seemed to happen too fast for me personally.

I love when an author takes taboo subjects and dare to write about them. And that is what Gisele St. Claire has done in this book.
It is sizzling hot with steamy scenes and it is worth the time reading.
An amazing short story about a teacher and a student. Their chemistry is over the hill and so well described. Very well written book.

Man oh man...Gisele St. Claire knows how tell a story! Rule Him is a fast-paced read with plenty of high school angst and hot, sexy interaction between a high school senior and the new English teacher. Talk about high heat! 🔥it's mildly annoying since the setting is the rich kids' high school, but once you get past all that entitlement--it's a really excellent read!
