Hmm an okay read...
This was an okay read. Didn't blow me away. Wasn't bad by any means. A boss and employee relationship with a bit of a unique spin as the boss isn't her direct boss, but anyway... this story was cute and simple, but the author added in some unexpected depth to it further along. The angst that came into play felt disjointed and thrown in at the last minute and that was my only true complaint about this book!
If you're looking for something that's pretty quick, and with quickly resolved angst then you've found it!

Loved this book from beginning to end! It had heat, a bit of drama but not the unnecessary kind and love...Wolfe and Skye both have their own issues with control... his with needing to much and hers with no knowing how to not over analyze things. They are like two pieces of a puzzle that have to go together but at first you don't see why and then boom it makes sense... that is this book!

Skye & Wolfe. I think the title should give you all you need to know ... LOL

Been seeing this everywhere, on Amazon, on my kindle so I thought why not, let's give it a try. But boy, what a disappointment?
The blurb was really interesting but unfortunately I couldn't get into the story. And apparently I'm a masochist because I didn't dnf it.
For me, the two main characters were not developed well. Skye was so freaking immature, that I wanted to bash her against the wall.
Proof 1:
Harlan looks away from my body, and I feel a sudden surge of jealousy. It’s irrational, I know, but it’s there. What could be more important than me right now?
And then I hear it: the crinkle of a condom. Harlan opens the package and discards the wrapper.
Proof 2:
“You know, Skye,” Harlan says, looking down at me as I sink to my knees. “I like you more and more every day.”
I bury my outrage at the idea that he didn’t just like me from the start by unzipping his pants, letting them fall to his ankles.
I half expect Harlan to laugh at me; to call me ugly, to send me packing.
Do all girls think like this, or is it just me?
But Harlan does none of those things. I knew he never would.
This makes no freaking sense. How can you expect someone to do something when you knew they would NEVER do so.
I seriously hated Skye. For being a psychiatric, she sure was dumb, childish and immature.
Also I feel like the story was all over the place, a former Navy SEAL turned billionaire who just went into someone's office and started reading their journal. A dumb and immature psychiatric who supposedly find it hard to give up control, gives up control easily and that too in a sex club. Oh, and if you've never had an O, maybe you could visit a sex club. It might work out for you. (inserts eye rolls).
Skye was supposed to treat Harlan, but we didn't see any treating the patient taking place, it was rather fucking the patient.

I would of given a 5+ except as an ARC I thought we had time to send in errors. Well we weren't given the chance and I read it in 1 day and burned 5 lbs of ribeyes.
The story is great and she hit the Navy Seals and the private lives VERY well except the Navy doesn't have SERGEANTS. A few sentences missing a word or too many words.
As always her books are great and I can't wait for more.

This was my first read, by this author. Honestly, I just couldn't get into this book. I was not a fan of the writing style, and didn't really feel the chemistry between the H & h. This story was a miss for me...

6% and I can't stand it.... I feel that the writer skipped lines.. I'm reading one thing and the next line is totally different, and the language of the Wall Street traders, ughhh, don't get me started on that one but here's an example.... “Ferget I said anythang.”

This is the story of a corporate therapist who works in the financial sector that keeps a diary. She comes to work one day only to find her boss in her office reading it and learning her deepest secret. He’s coming to her because he needs fixing and he strikes a deal with her—help him fix his issue and he’ll help fix her problem—the inability to reach her peak, which has left her alone, slightly frigid, and doomed to be a spinster. It had some really hot scenes, some humor, and the odd ability to get you right to the edge but then leaves you wanting. It made you sympathize with Skye. Harlan is sexy, a bit kinky, and quite determined. He makes a woman wish that he were real.

I gave this two stars because I only partly like the first book the first book is kinda unbelievable but they just go down from here sadly I read this as part of a bundle on Amazon it included four books.
Climax book one:
I liked it, I did not love it there was a little too much macho domination for me like him just reading her journal really why did she leave that out any way I could not fully get behind the storyline but I liked. I thought Skye and Harlan were interesting together and saw how they could evolve I though like most of these books the romance was too quick in weeks she is marrying him and moving in with him and the kids I just did not fully buy into it. It is not a bad story if you want a quick read there are additional books in the set I got I tried to read them but just could not get into the storyline at all.
book 2 The chase I could not get through the first page the storyline is just too much for me and I have zero desire to read it.
Book 3 Faking it:
I got partway through the book to the point they were at a charity auction the day after the fake marriage this book started off ridiculous and did not improve from there I just could not keep going.
Book 4 Keeping her
I have not gotten to this book but if the other two are the bases I am not sure I ever will we will see if I do read it I will update the review.

This was a fun read. I enjoyed the characters and the story. Skye is a psychiatrist and works in Harlan's company. Harlan has a financial company and hired a psychiatrist for his employees to go see if they wanted/needed to. Harlan ends up down in her office because he is having trouble sleeping. He gets a hold of her diary and learns that she has never had an orgasm before and once he sees her, plans change. He still needs help with his problem sleeping but now he is determined to win over Skye as well. He continues to try and control her and the situations but Skye continually calls him on it but she is intrigued by how he makes her feel and by his claim to solve her problem. I really enjoyed the back and forth that happened in this book. Harlan is a good guy, he just has a few control issues, which is understandable as you learn things from his past. I loved the interactions between the characters. The sex is explicit. There is plenty of action and other things going on in the story as well to keep your attention but the sex does play a fairly big role in the story. I loved the pacing and thought it was great for the story. I really enjoyed it.

Extremely Disappointed
I was so excited to read this book, the reviews and promotions made it sound amazing. Yet no where, not one single place does it mention, warn, prepare you for the fact that it has dom/sub, dark, BDSM or kink in it. For my own personal reasons I do not read those kinds of books. I do not judge people that do read them or think less of others for liking them. I will not read a book if I have any hint of an idea that I won't like it or be turned off or upset by it. I stopped reading at 18%, this story goes to 27% with 4 stories total in the book. Up until I reached that point (18%) I would have given a 5⭐️ rating because it was that great, seriously: glued to the edge of my seat, can't wait to see what happens next, held captive till done, kind of story. My 3⭐️ rating is solely based on the fact that nowhere does it say it's the kind of book I listed above. The author is great, talented, knows how to tell a story very well in an entertaining manner that keeps her reader hooked to the end (well, this reader till the kink shows up anyway). A lot of authors do tell if there is anything dark or moderate to high level of kink in the book and for that I am thankful.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Harlan and Skye have both suffered pain and loss in their past. He comes to her for therapy and finds he wants to "fix" her problem too. One of the best things I liked about the storyline was that the first time and even the second, Harlan doesn't immediately "fix" Skye's "problem". It took time for both their "problems" to fully come to light and start to be healed. I also appreciated that she may be a therapist but has trouble seeing/accepting her own problems and needs the help and support of someone who will love her as she is. Just because a person may have a specialty or professional knowledge doesn't mean they don't ever need help or know everything. And Harlan's struggles to be real with Skye instead of just controlling her felt so, well... real. You could feel Harlan's confusion at times. Not knowing how to act/react to Skye without being in total control. The dynamic between them was just fantastic. I couldn't put it down until I finished it. Great read!

This book is a great read with a strong female lead and a broken alpha male. Harlan was a broken man from being a Navy Seal in the war and had sworn off all women except for his beautiful daughter. He he became a billionaire on wall street and is the 3rd wealthiest man in the world. But left the war with scars and has trouble sleeping. Realizing that he needs to get himself together he goes to visit his in house therapist thinking she might be able to help him as she has some of his traders. After sneaking and reading her diary he realizes that she's never had an orgasm and he sets out to change that. The chemistry between them is amazing and she tries hard to keep their relationship professional. Both have hangups of their own and it is so much fun reading about them . A well written book with a strong story and great characters. Lots of surprises and a real page turner. It was hard to put this book down once I began reading it. I received an advance copy and voluntarily chose to review it.

Wow! What a great story about Skye and Harlan. Skye is a therapist for a building of stock traders. She also has a journal where she keeps her secrets. Her biggest is the fact that she has never had an orgasm.
Harlan is her boss, and he has a problem only she can solve. It begins when he comes to seek her out in her office and sees the journal and begins to read it. Minutes later, Skye comes to her office and sees a gorgeous man in her office reading her journal. She freaks and knocks it from his hands. Then he introduces himself and tells her that he needs her help. Skye is still shocked over him reading her journal. She doesn't know how far he got until he says, I'll help you with your problem if you help me with mine.
So they begin a seduction tale that can't be beat. Can Skye help him with his issues and can they actually get Skye to Climax? What an awesome story, so sorry it ended. I want some more. Hot, Hot, Hot. Must read if you like a little bit nasty in your books. Anxious to read more from Holly Hart.

Skye works as a therapist for big stock brokerage. She is valued at her job and seems to be a success but she has never been able to climax. She wrote down all her trials in her journal and then one day she catches a strange man in her office looking at her journal. She is outraged until she finds out he is the CEO of the company. Then she is embarrassed that he knows her secret.
Harlan is the big CEO but he is having problems sleeping. He went to Skye for help but then he found her journal. He knows that he can help her with her problem. He offers that they work together to fix both their problems but Skye feels the need to be more professional. She sets up appointments with Harlan but he always seems to take control. It's not good for his therapy but it makes her hot.
Finally she starts to get some insight into Harlan and realizes that he wants to control his life and those around him due to past trauma. Maybe being honest with each other and giving up that control with help both of them.
Harlan is the big CEO but he is having problems sleeping. He went to Skye for help but then he found her journal. He knows that he can help her with her problem. He offers that they work together to fix both their problems but Skye feels the need to be more professional. She sets up appointments with Harlan but he always seems to take control. She is: serious, uptight, lonely, missing a big O.
I did enjoy this book.
***possible spoiler alert*** It did bother me when they went to that sex club. I guess he was trying to teach her to release all her control to him. But that was a little over the top. I mean, what better way to give me a big O, by bringing me to a sex club, getting me naked, strut me out in front of a bunch of sleazy men who are going to bid on me who want to screw my brains out.. hot. and obviously it ends well, but for long....Then he went all military and that was a little bit out of the story line. But it wasn't long before he was back to finding her and working on their happy ending. It was all very fast, but that's what insta love is... And it's fabulous, if that's what you like.
Harlan is a pretty amazing guy that's been thru alot and I loved how he knew he was going to do whatever necessary to win the woman he loves. And seriously, this book cover makes me want to lick my Kindle screen.

So what happens when your boss comes to you for psychiatric services to deal with the demons of his past but has another agenda that involves solving your problems as well? Give in of course! Harem retired Navy SEAL and billionaire businessman has to be in control of his surroundings. Coming to Skye for help was hard to do, but she was the best- and the fact she was beautiful helped.
These two are about to set off an incredible fast paced journey of self-discovery, taking risks, become a new person- learning to love again along the way.
Detailed, Heartstring- tugging it was refreshing watching these two grow together- seeing that not everything was an easy fix. Sexy and Sweet this book was not an easy one to put down-I loved the added edge angsty feel. Giving me a read with several of my favorites all in one!
I will be adding this to my read again list!

This is one book that is a whole lot more than the blurb indicates. Skye’s job as a therapist is put to the ultimate test when her boss asks for her services. There’s a catch, though – he found out about her “problem” and insists on a fair trade – he’ll fix her if she’ll fix him. That simple outline belies the depth of complexity that this story is truly about. Skye and Harlan soon find out that they both have the same problem, triggered by similar life experiences, and how they conquer this problem is where the heart of the story is. Ultimately, they find what we all hope to find – that love is the solution, not just to their common problem (although it is the only solution to that) but also for every other problem they didn’t realize they had. A book, where the main characters Harlan and Skye has a lot to deal with. The make a deal to fix each other. Well, they do not stop there :)
A book filled with hot chemistry, steamy scenes, tears, humor, a woman that dares to take the lead and a man that fights with what he has got. Harlan is an alpha male in all ways.
This book has Skye as a female lead on the side of Harlan. Most times I think female leads tend to get boring and over the edge but here Holly Hart has made the character loveable and a person you can relate to. Loved it.
Both Harlan and Skye has a lot to fight through from their past before they can continue and catch the happiness they deserve.
Loved the story, plot and the way Holly Hart is describing it all. An amazing book, that is a must read.

I must be honest I initially didn't think I would get through this story as I wasn't thrilled with the beginning. Skye seemed scattered and Harlan seemed a bit rough around the edges and over powering. but I powered on and ended up enjoying the book.
Skye is a psychiatrist at a Hedge Fund who works with the brokers. Harlan Wolfe is the owner of the fund and comes to see Skye because he is having trouble sleeping. He inadvertently picks up Skye personal journal and learns he secret.
Skye and Harlan have control issues and past which they have not fully dealt with. As the two begin to get to know each other and become truthful about what their issues are and their past they begin to form a bond. Can they each help the other get over their issue?
This story brings the heat and some love and romance. Poppy seems to be a pip.

I rolled my eyes so much I've got eye strain or the eye just popped right the hell out of my head for this one.
OK the good....the story idea is really interesting. I like the character names and such. There are some pretty sexy bits and pieces throughout the story that were tasty.
The neutral... The Naval terms like the ranks ....nope no...no but it wasn't huge problem for those terms to be wrong because it didn't kill the story for me.
The bad though....the story was disjointed for me for me because there was times I felt like I missed something important so I went back and reread it but it was what it was and it had no more to give me. Like I didn't understand the back story of him just showing up and finding her secret like he did. Why that day? What that book? But any who... I liked the book enough to finish and enough to try the author again but.....but yeah.

Skye is approached by her boss Harlan to help him figure out why is n't sleeping. Skye is a therapist and employee of Wolfe Capitol. Harlan is the CEO, an ex-Navy Seal, and father.
Harlan may have come to Skye about sleep, but his motives soon change to a more private arena. Harlan was caught reading Skye's private thoughts and now has intimate knowledge of her, and from there he turns on the charm to get his "therapist" in a compromising position.
Every approach Skye uses in trying to work with Harlin backfires. He keeps throwing Skye off her game, but in the end, comes healing. They both had some things in common that held them back and prevented them from moving on.

***I voluntarily read this ARC to give an honest revieview***Skye Warren a psychoanalyst has been hired by Harlan Wolfe. When she gets into her office he is there reading her journal. He knows her secret. She has never had an orgasm. It is against the rules for her to treat him, and have an affair with him, but he wants one.He promises her will give her one. He will not have one until she does.She breaks him down where he tells her the truth about himself, but he leaves out the fact that he has a daughter by his wife who was killed in action.When they finally have the orgasm together, Skye notices that there is a camera in the air conditioner unit.He doesn't stop until he finds who has the film and all copies. A great read.

Holly Hart is an awesome writer. Once you start reading Climax, you won't be able to stop. Harlen is sexy, hot alpha. Skye is a sexy woman but she doesn't see herself like that. Meanwhile Harlen and Skye has a deal to try to fix themselves. Can they fix each other? you have to buy the book and find out. Holly did an awesome job with creating each charterers. The story is well written, steamy scenes and good flowing story. It is full of amazing details, also has some twists and turns too. I would definitely recommend this book to all of my friends. I can't wait to read your next story. I will definitely be reading more books from Holly Hart. Keep up the awesome work girl!
