Kristen Anders is beginning her life over after moving to Tampa after divorcing her cheating husband. She is an author who began by publishing "vanilla" romances but her latest book dived into the world if BDSM without ever experiencing it herself. Her self-esteem is at a low point after her self-esteem took a huge hit by the words her ex would constantly use to describe her.
Devon "Devil Dog" Sawyer is one of the owners of Trident Security and also The Covenant, an exclusive BDSM club along with his brother Ian and cousin Mitch. When he spots Kristen in his cousin's pub he is instantly taken by her and wants to get to know her but believes she is already seeing one of his friends.
When Devon and Kristen realize they are attracted to each other they begin to get to know each other but how will Kristen react to Devon's sexual needs and differences? Will she be willing to go along with it knowing that Devon is not into long term relationships?
When it is clear that several members of Trident Security are in danger from a mission they went on as Navy Seals will Kristen be a distraction for Devon? Will they discover who is after them in time?
I enjoyed this book and found it really explained everything well in regards to the club and how everything worked. If you have never read a book involving BDSM then it is a good introduction. I always find it somewhat amusing in these books how fast the sub is willing to go along with everything the DOM says just to please him and in this book it was evident that there wasn't much that Kristen wasn't willing to do to make Devon happy. I have no honest idea how realistic that is.
I did like how Devon really wanted to make sure Kristen was taken care of and she was fun to read about and I loved her sass.
I really enjoyed getting to know all the members of the team and I can't wait to read more about each one in the coming books. I also really hope that Jenn is able to have a book on her and that she finds some happiness and peace after everything she went through.
His Angel
This is the second book in the Trident Security series and although it isn't necessary to read book one first I do highly recommend it.
Ian Sawyer is the boss of Trident Security and the Master Dom at The Covenant, an exclusive BDSM club co-owned by him, his brother Devon and cousin Mitch. He was engaged to Kaliope Levine 10 years ago and since she broke up with him he has sworn off all long-term relationships with women.
Angelina Beckett is a graphic designer who has just moved in next door to Brody Evans. James Athos will do everything to make sure that Angelina is safe, including finding out who her neighbors are and that leads him to Trident Security. When James decides to take one more undercover mission he knows he must count on the men of Trident Security to keep Angie safe.
Yet as Ian gets to know Angie he is captivated by her and wants her in every way possible. When a disaster strikes and Angie learns the truth about all of the relationships around her will she be able to move on from the hurt and the secrets? Will Ian and James be able to protect the girl they both love?
I enjoyed this book but found some of a little repetitive in regards to the BDSM club. That being said if you hadn't read the first book it would be important information.
Again I was surprised at how willing Angie was to Ian's lifestyle and how fast she jumped into. But as I have never been propositioned by a former Navy Seal I can't say I wouldn't do the same. I found it interesting how Ian stuck to the rules so explicitly even though he was the owner with him explaining that he had to adhere to the rules exactly like everyone else.
I loved when everything went sideways and how Brody was right there to protect Angie. The level of security and preparedness was awesome and I think these guys are definitely prepared for anything! I also loved how Angie went crazy when she discovered all the secrets that were kept from her by Ian. It was so awesome how she put him in his place!
Ian is definitely another pure Alpha male! He is so DOM yet I can see that he is so caring although he is scared to get his heart broken again. I'm glad he was able to figure everything out!
I am really enjoying all the characters and as each book goes along I am definitely loving the men of Trident Security!!

Ben "Boomer" Michaelson is not the settling down type. When he was in high school he thought he found the girl of his dreams but her and her family died in a car crash and part of Boomer has never gotten over her. When he receives a request to have a meeting with Kate Zimmerman at Trident he is baffled to who that is.
Kate Zimmerman, aka Katerina Maier, never knew the trouble her dad was in when their car was forced off the road and her life changed forever. When she knows someone is after her she goes to the only person she believes can help her - Ben Michaelson.
Ben vows to try and figure out who is after Kat and why. His heart still belongs to her but he has changed so much since she has been gone and is not sure if Kat will like the new him. When the Russians strike will Kat be able to forgive herself for the events or will she push everyone away and run?
This has been my favorite story so far! I love the back story on these two and how they are going about trying to figure out why the Russians are after Kat. I also loved that the story was really realistic with the sex and not just jumping into the BDSM.
I really liked Boomer in the previous books and this one definitely shows us how much he truly cares about Kat and the strong relationship he has with his team and with his parents. Although he is strong we definitely get to see a vulnerable side, especially towards the end.
Kat is so strong with everything she has been through and I can't imagine what she had to go through only to discover that it wasn't over. She is vulnerable and I can understand her reluctance to get involved with many people with not really knowing who to trust. I completely get her actions at the end and I can't say that I wouldn't do the same thing.
Carter is my hero and I really need the author to write a book on him!! His character has been growing on me since the very first book and now I believe he could be one of my favorites. I love his attitude, swagger and knack for being at the right place at the right time. I can't wait to read about the woman who is able to tame him down!
This series is very well developed and I love the continuation of the story so that we are never leaving a character behind and are really getting to know them! I can't wait to read the next one!

The men of Trident Security or The Sexy Six-Pack are sinfully gorgeous, all alpha males and Definitely Doms. The Trident team are involved in action packed, heart pounding and adrenaline pumping missions that have you on the edge of your seat. The three books in this set tell the love stories of Devon and Kristen, Ian and Angie and Boomer and Kat. They are steamy, sensual, romantic and suspenseful.
Samantha A. Cole has elevated erotic romantic suspense to the next level. Her characters are fabulously complex and oh so likeable. The plotlines are even paced with lots of suspense with the right mix of romance. I am a huge fan.

Enjoyed this series
The opening of the book captured my interest right away as Benjamin "Boomer" Michaelson passes out when he realizes that the person standing in front of him was someone he thought was dead and buried. There was a lot if suspense throughout this story.I love the other members of Trident Security as well as Boomer's parents. I look forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

For real?
2% and no can do. DNF. I was drowning in wordy internal dialogue that segued into eye rolling corny descriptions. I wasn't even interested in skimming to see if the book would improve. Just wanted out.

I thought I wouldn't like these books, but I love them. They are intense romantic suspense novels filled with fun and quirky/kinky love scenes. Yes, they are erotic novels, but they are tastefully written with glorious happy endings. I will read more of this wonderful series!

Beautiful and intense
This author's background experience shows in this first trilogy box set. It has many aspects of police and military terms and drills that you would usually overlook in others, but this author shows her pride is not skimping these details. An Awesome Read!
I loved reading The Trident Security Series - Books 1-3. Book 1 is all about Kristen Anderson a 26 year old romance writer who has just divorced and has moved to Tampa, Fl to be near her cousin Will. One afternoon she went out to a local Pub in her neighborhood for lunch, where she met the most delightful waitress named Jenn. While she was seated at a booth across from the bar she noticed a hot group of six men, one was more gorgeous then the next, they also seemed to be in their thirties and looked to be hassling the waitress Jen. After she ordered lunch she opened her laptop and proceeded to write her next book, with the guy on the end of the bar as inspiration! As she was typing the computer blacked out and she started having heart palpitations. Jen asked what was wrong, Kristen told her and she called over her Uncle Brody the computer geek. He took her laptop and was able to get her file back. He also updated the machine, and gave her his card and told her to call him with ant further problems. For the next few days, whenever Kristen went into the Pub she kept banging into another Uncle, this time it was Devon. All the Uncles are navy Seals & they all work at Trident Security and all are Dom's. Kristen brought a bunch of free copies of her books in so Jen could read them free of charge. She also asked out Devon, for dinner and he happily accepted. They hit it off and she became his sub and he's her Sir or Master. In Book 2 the guys are asked by James Athos to keep an eye on Brody's new neighbor. Brody Evan's has recently purchased a house that is right next to the Trident Security Compound in Tampa. Next door lives Angelina Beckett she's 33 and is a Graphic Designer and works from home. She has no family, except for her BFF James. He tries to protect her since he's a DEA Agent, but he works underground a lot, and he worries someday somebody may come after her looking for him, that's why he hired Trident Security to look after her. He paid them to put an alarm system as well as tracking devices through out her home, unbeknownst to her. That way they could monitor her, with out her never finding out. They also put cameras' in her shoes & sneakers. Ian Sawyer, Devon's older brother gas taken a liking toward Angel and she also likes him. He's part owner of The Covenant a BDSM Club that resides in the Trident compound along with his brother Devon. Their cousin Master Mitch runs the club, and all the uncle's are Dom's at the club. Read all about Ian & Angel in this fast paced environment! In Book 3 Ben Michaelson is meeting with a young lady who knows him from his past. Ben goes by baby boomer, and when he meets the mysterious women he faints dead away. It's like he saw a ghost, and he did. You see three weeks after he graduated from high school, his BFF Alex's family died. Ben had already left for boot camp, but he came back to bury his best friends. The women he just met is Kate Zimmerman or Katerina Maier. Most of her family died after the accident, her mom died on impact and her brother Alex died in her arms in a ditch on the side of the road. Her dad and her were put in the ?Witness Protection program and moved around their entire lives until recently when her dad died of cancer in a Portland Oregan hospital. Reason she's here is she needs protection somebody is trying to kill her! Read this series, it's fast paced, and will keep your attention from book 1 thru book 7. Some of my favourite
These light read BDSM novels are some of my favourite in the genre. The characters are diverse (I love how different the body types of the heroines are and how different heroes have different preferences in and out of the bedroom) and the romance is sweet.

Kristen is an author of vanilla and now spicy romance books. She is working on the sequel to her first spciy book. She just moved after getting divorced to her ex-husband.
She decides to go to a pub to work on her new book when she sees 6 sexy men at the bar, this includes Devon. They guys are joking around with the 19 year old server/ bartender.

Kristen goes to the Covenant for research on her book. It's a placw for Dom/sub to find each other and act out their scenes. While touring the place, Devon walks in. He is part owner. He proceeds to take over the tour and ties up her hands against the wall above her head as he questions her. She is extremely turned on by this.
They go on their date and it goes well. Then he takes her as his guest to the Covenant. He guides her through all the scenes and learns what she like or dislikes, for example, no teeth or clamps near her nips due to PTSD from a college ex.
They start to fall for each other
Meanwhile, there's also a plot to kill Devon and his Navy friends who own Trident Security. They are eventually safe after the hired mercenary is killed as well as who hired him.
At the end of the book Kristen is on a plane with Devon to meet his parents while volunteering in another country. She is finishing her book and he plans on proposing to her.

I was hooked fast! Good, juicy spice scenes. Like the added killer plot.
His Angel Summary:
While Ian is helping Brody move into his new house, Brody's new neighbor, Angie, catches his eye. Brody later lets him know there's been a guys hanging around that looks to be her boyfriend. Turns out, he's not, he's her best friend, Jimmy.
While Ian is picking up a file from Brody's house one day, he sees Angie standing outside, looking nice and finishing a conversation with a blind date canceling on her. Ian takes this opportunity to ask her out and she agrees. They go to dinner and have a great time.
Ian then invites her to an art gallery event as she loves art and designs book covers (coincidentally she is designing Kristin's new book cover). She says yes. While there, Heather (a submissive from last book that got kicked out of the Covenant) follows Angie and Kristin into the bathroom and runs her mouth about them. This is how Angie finds out Ian is a Dom.
Ian later tells her more details and answers her questions. She agrees the lifestyle intregues her and agrees to try it with Ian.
Together they grow as a couple.
Little does Angie know, but before Jimmy went on another job undercover, he had asked Trident Security to watch over her. She later finds this out when Jimmy gets in trouble and Angie has 2 bad agents come after her.
These bad people proceed to kidnap Jenn and use her as leverage to get to Angie so they can get to Jimmy. Angie ends up going there to switch with Jenn and let's the boys know last minute. They make it in time to save Angie and Jenn but in the process, Jimmy gets shot and dies.
Angie and Ian fall in love and Ian ends up proposing to her after they get back from a vacation and she had created his own Oasis on the Trident compound.
Review:
Another love! Spicy so good! I wished they had delved more into Jake's theory that Angie is a Switch and could be a Dom as well as a sub.

You see, Kat was his childhood best friend's sister who he was in love with. They had just decided to commit to each other even though he had just graduated and was off to basic training. But 2 days after this happened, Kat, her dad, mom, and brother were all killed in a car accident... Or so everyone was led to believe. Turns out Kat and her dad survived the crash and were put into Witness Protection.
Kat's dad had been an accountant for a Russian mobster. He figured out they were selling girls into slavery and wanted out, so he turned info into the FBI and the mobster found out, causing the accident.
Now Kat's dad was dead from cancer and the mobsters had found her. As her dad's last act of revenge against the mobster before they went into hiding, he stole 15 million dollars from them and they wanted it back now they had tracked her down.
The boys help her escape and take down the mobsters. Meanwhile, Boomer and his Kittem fall in love again and he introduces her to the Dom/sub lifestyle.
While the boys are trying to help Kat, Boomer's dad gets hurt by the mobsters. Kat things Boomer is mad at her so she goes back to Oregon to her fake life. 2 weeks later, Carter shows up and convinces/forces her back to Boomer. Boomer wasn't mad at her, he was mad at the situation her dad had gotten them all in and the mobsters for hurting his dad.
They make up and decide to be together officially.
Review:
I feel like there was more action in this one than previous books. But I loved it. I love that Boomer fainted after seeing her and they both held onto their love for 12 years.
I really hope we get a book about Carter in this series but I seriously love him and he's such a mystery!

All 3 books are amazing.
My favorite is leather and kace because yoy get introduced to everyone. K the heroine brings love into dev's world as he brings her into bdsm.

Very good!
Ms. Cole is new to me as an author...I’m extremely particular about books that I read and recommend.
I highly recommend Ms. Cole’s Trident Security books which I have just finished.
They are well plotted, tightly written, good character development. Ms. Cole is now on my favorite authors list.

Three books in the series together: yes please!!!
Loved all the stories and the fact that you get to read them one after another is a huge bonus!! You get action, and sexiness with all this alphas. Storylines are well written and keep you hooked.

This is the first 3 books in the Trident Security Series. Samantha nails the combination of BDSM and having an actual story line with plot twist and all. If you are looking for a hot read, with a suspenseful story line this is the series for you!!

Leather and Lace
It was fun watching Devon and Kristin's relationship unfold. Both of them fought the attraction they felt for each other, and the danger it brought with it made it that much more precious. I'm always surprised at how easily women who have an aversion to sex fall into a BDSM situation in novels, and this was one of those. I'm a firm believer that sex is the best when both parties are concerned about each other's feelings, and this is a story where this definitely occurs. I loved the mystery part of the story. Love stories should contain some kind of conflict, especially when it involves a security firm.
I liked it though I was bothered by some of the grammatical errors. There was punctuation that was misplaced while other punctuation was missing. It forced me to reread several areas in order to understand the meaning behind the sentences. A good editor would have been helpful and should have caught that.
His Angel
This is one of my favorite types of romances - the ones where the hero and heroine watch each other out of the corners of their eyes, doubting the other could possibly find an attraction there. But when push comes to shove, Ian is there to help Angie escape those who are after her, a situation for which she can't even fathom a reason. However, when the two finally decide to give their precarious situation a try, sparks fly and these two burn the sheets along with other places.
This was an exciting love story and a situation where both came to terms with their pasts. The danger and intrigue added another layer and made it that much better.
I found some of the same grammatical problems as with the first story in the series, but the writing was improved.
Waiting for him
Definitely my favorite of the three in the set. Ben never expected to see Kat again since he'd assumed she was killed in an accident twelve years earlier that killed her entire family. But when she shows up, in need of help, revealing that she has been in the witness protection program for something her father did, the anger and heat are something that can't be overlooked. I loved how human Ben was from the very beginning. And Angie had a strength that was beyond what anyone should need. They circled each other for a long time before things started falling into place and they decided to consider what this new relationship might be between them. The danger and intrigue were just as huge, if not more, in this one, which brought a new excitement level.
Again, it was hard to get past some of the grammatical problems and weak sentence structure, but the writing is improving. In fact, it got better as the story moved forward.
I enjoyed the stories themselves as I am not one to shy away from BDSM or the rules that come with sex play in writing. For anyone to be surprised at the amount of or descriptive factor concerning the sex is beyond me when the synopsis clearly states that the men are not only part of a security firm but a BDSM club. I find mysteries within the stories to be a thrill and found the author to have a knowledgeable database for the workings of the "security firm" mentality. I like when important facts are worked into a story, and those are the kinds of facts that are necessary to make it believable. I hope the author finds more reliable editing in the future and, as tempting as the excuse would have been, could not see giving her a lower star-rating for inadequate editing. The stories were exciting and steamy, sexy and hot, angsty and entertaining. I look forward to reading the subsequent books in the series along with other books she has written.

I loved the journey this story took me on and the steamy scenes sizzled nicely. I bought the characters and was able to understand the reasons behind their decisions. This is important to me or I lose interest in the story. This story got me hooked. I am not personally into BDSM, but I found everything tasteful and just the right kind of naughty. The MFM scene was nicely written and a bit of a pleasant surprise. I was annoyed with the references to LGBT individuals and the comment, "I don't have a problem with it." It was said so many times I began to think the author had a problem with it. The constant repeating of that phrase was irritating.
His Angel
Since this was part of a collection, it was a bit annoying to have everything explained all over again. Especially the layout of the company. We got it already...how many times does it need to be explained? It felt excessive even if the second story was meant to be able to stand alone. I enjoyed how different the female character was from the first book. Ian and Angie's story was a fun and naughty journey when we got to the story. The freezer scene was especially hot.
Waiting for him
Ben and Kat's story was very engaging and I liked how once again the female character differed from the others. I am not sure if I can say that the men in the series vary a whole lot from each other. Their voices started to merge in my head...except when Brody speaks. I appreciated the realistic reaction to some of the naughty play. Everything didn't taste or feel amazing...I like some reality in my fantasy. I enjoyed this story and the continuation of characters from previous stories.
I liked the series and learned to skip past the heavy description of the compound and club set-up. I enjoyed the description sexy scenes and the variety provided. The stories kept my interest and most of the writing was easy to follow with a few minor punctuation issues. I am currently continuing with the series.

Leather & Lace: Loved this story! I loved it so much that I bought the rest of the series and did a binge read. You know, where you read one book after another until they entire series is finished. I loved the detail and the characters. I felt as though I was in the book and was hooked. The story was so good that I wanted to finish it. I didn't want to quit, I wanted to listen and tried to find reasons to get in my car so that the story would go on. I loved the dual narration to this story.
His Angel: First, dayum this book was hot and it kept me on the edge of my seat. I had to listen. I was addicted to this book. The story did not have a slow place in it and I wanted more. Loved the interaction between Ian and Angie, and wow is she a firecracker. In contrast to the narration of the first book in the series, the southern drawl of Donovan Kane was just wow! I loved listening to his voice and he knocked it out of the park.
Waiting for Him: This book was awesome! Steamy and suspenseful, this book (both print and audio) kept me glued to it. The narration brings it to life! Boomer hits the floor when he sees Kat back from the dead. Pushed together to save her life and get the mob off her back, these two take what was a budding romance in high school and bring it back to life.

Excellent read!
This is one of the best erotic romantic suspense series I've read. The box set was a great introduction to the series, which already has spin-offs. I can't wait to continue with the series, especially since Shelby's story is up next. The series focus is the Sawyer brothers, their cousins and friends in Tampa, Florida. The brothers are former SEALs who own Trident Security, The Covenant (a BDSM club) and a restaurant.
1. Leather and Lace. The series opener features Devon "Devil Dog" Sawyer, a Dom and confirmed bachelor who meets his match in Kristen Anders, a romance writer who is branching out into erotic romance.
2. His Angel features older brother Ian Sawyer, a Dom who falls for a team members next door neighbor, Angelina, a graphic artist. Have a box of tissues handy for this one.
3. Waiting for Him features team member Dom Ben "Boomer" Michaelson and is a miracle reunion story since his high school girl friend, Kat Maier, "died" twelve years earlier.
Each of these books has great character and relationship development. The stories feel believable and are well executed. There is a good balance of romance and suspense. And each has an HEA. I'm now a Trident fan.

I re-read these books 1) because it was around 3 years ago and I had the feeling that I didn’t know the stories anymore. 2) I didn’t review the first time I read these books I wasn’t aware of the importance of a review.
LEATHER AND LACE, is the story of Kristen and Devon, I love Kirsten’s personality she is sweet but stands her ground and for me Devon is my favourite. He is sweet,overprotective and naughty but very much a dom,
Re reading is enjoyable, Samantha has created a very good series. This book has suspense, romance, hot scenes, and BDSM scenes. A laugh and a cry. You can not go wrong with this series. If you start reading you can not stop.
HIS ANGEL, is about Ian and Angelina.
Ian is Bossman and is really bossy and Angelina is more Sassy than Kristen and perfect for Ian. Ian is also overprotective, Bossy, he also has a playful side.
This is easy to read, suspenseful, a lot of romance and hot BDSM scenes. It is vividly written and full of humour.
WAITING FOR HIM, is a sadder story. Kat and Bennie have a history. And after many years they meat again. What happens then is one rollercoasters.

A great story
A well-written suspenseful, action-packed romance. Time in the military hadn’t given them many opportunities for long-term relationships. But now that they've retired, they're slowly getting married off. “Many times, he’d debated the adage—was it better to have loved and lost or to never have loved at all? It was an argument he’d never settled in his mind.”
Boomer wasn't interested in a long-term relationship. He was perfectly happy being a Dom and playing with different subs. He had a late-night appointment, then he'd go play at the club. When he walked into the office and saw her, he fainted. When he came to, he was frantically looking for her, a ghost from his past.
“Kate had known Benny was going to be shocked when he first saw her, but she hadn’t expected him to pass out.” She was in trouble, and he was the only one left she trusted. She was being followed, and her condo was broken into and trashed. “She felt so drained after telling the two men about the horror story which her life had become, and she couldn’t find any more words to say to Benny.”

Leather and Lace - updated DUET narration with Gunnar Qualen and Jenna St. Claire - excellent! (5 stars - narration) Enjoyed the BDSM teaching storyline - very hot. Liked both Kristen and Devon. Lots of time was spent setting up everything and who everyone is - setting the groundwork for the rest of the series. I would consider this book more in the erotic category than romantic suspense. It took a long time to get to the suspense/trident security part and it's only a very small part of the book but interesting. Looking forward to more of this series. (4-stars story)

One hell of a story and an awesome introduction for a new series that leaves you yearning for the next stories.
The audiobook narrated by Claire and Qualen is perfectly performed and has the different characters very well situated so you just feel like you’re sitting at Donovan’s right next to Kristen when she meets Devon for the very first time.

It's the second book in the Trident Security series and the author has me hooked. This one is even more intense than the first one. Besides all the kinky stuff going on there is actually a very good and heartbreaking story to tell. I loved every page of it, though the second to last chapter is quite heavy.
Another narrator than in the first book but Kane knows his stuff as well and has you literally besides Angie when shit hits the fan.

Kat ‚died‘ a long time ago - when she suddenly stands in front of Ben he’s thrown for a loop. Literally.

I loved the stories here, the world building is insanely good and draws you into a myriad of characters that you just need to hear more from.
The MMC’s are the epitome of alpha males in every way and push that to its limits at times, but never over the line.
Deeply and darkly steamy, the heat rating of the books is off the charts, the author knows how to write a “scene” that’s for sure.
I did however struggle slightly with the audio narration here. The first book was a duet narration which I adored in principal as it’s not something you are very often. However, I felt that the narrators lacked in the portrayal of the characters. It felt a lot of the time that they were reading the story to me rather than acting out a story. This isn’t my favourite style, neither is the single voice of the next 2 books in the series. I did like the narrators voice but it just wasn’t my personal preference.
Despite this the stories were all amazing and worth a read/listen.
