I am really glad that this was on my kindle unlimited.... I would have been upset if I had to pay for it.
The book started out great and I was hooked. Great flow, great character building, but then it fell apart. A lot of redundancy and a lot of confusion. I got lost, not sure if it was because of boredom or lack of flow with the story.
Towards the end if I heard “inner vixen” one more time I would have thrown the kindle. The story kept going and going and going like a bad train wreck. I really wanted to like this series, it had great potential at the start, but quickly derailed.

This was a super fit sexy read!

Flowed effortlessly. Exciting. Sexual hotness off the chart. Secondary characters excellent.

Isaac is the ultimate MC. I had dreams about him. His possessiveness was perfectly written. Dark. Sexy. Intelligent. Loving. Thoughtful. Gah if I could bring him to life *sigh*

Isabella is a good FMC. However, to be an FBI a game girl cries too much. And makes so really dumb decisions. Sometimes I had to force myself to read her antics. I would have liked to see Isaac with someone mentally stronger.

Great series! Hot! No regrets!

Happy reading,
DD🥂

Cheating

I devoted that much time for the book to end with cheating… no amount of cheating while they are an actual couple is forgivable to me. I would have given a 1 star but I felt bad because up until that it was turning out to not be alright. It would have gotten 4 stars if I wasn’t blind sided by so much cheating at the end. I’m pretty salty right now. Like I HATE him and her for that matter, but HIM. I would have bounced (she’s weak) the first time but the second while engaged F that. I even went back hoping I missed the trigger warning about cheating or something because it gets listed typically but nope it wasn’t in there. She has no spine, let’s stay with the cheater, who thinks that’s a good ending. Honestly, I would have been more satisfied if she ran off with HUGO at the end instead of being like “omg he finally said he loved me, he must really mean it after sleeping with someone else and leaving me to go hook up with someone else and no big deal on TWO not one but TWO paternity test.” I don’t read cheating books and clearly this is why because this is the type of review I leave and now I’m pissed and won’t get over it for like 5 books. The author gave me feels that’s for sure but not the right kind sadly.

This series took me a month to read which is crazy for me. It just had a hard time keeping my interest. There were a lot of things I liked about this series, however there were too many repetitive things. Something crazy happens, then they have sex. Something crazy happens and then they have sex. Catch my drift. It was getting kind of monotonous.
I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap."

There were so many things that bugged me about this and the list will be below, read at your own risk.

There were good things too...ALPHA, ALPHA, ALPHA. I always love that so that is why this series gets a 3 star for me. However, I won't read it again. One time read ONLY.

Enigma: The Complete Collection is a boxed set that contains the first four books in the Enigma series by Shandi Boyes. The four books are;
- Enigma of Life: Enigma Series Book #1
- Unraveling an Enigma: Enigma Series Book #2
- The Mystery Unmasked: Enigma Series Book #3
- The Final Chapter: Enigma Series Book #4
The story that spans these four books follows Isaac Holt and Isabelle Brahm, and takes us on a heart-aching, intense, nail biting, incredible, panty melting ride of our lives. This boxed set drew me in right at the beginning of book one and kept me completely enthralled the whole way through to the end of book four. Ms. Boyes is a true genius when it comes to captivating storylines, endearing and interesting characters, scintillating dialogue and vivid descriptive details. If she isn’t on your must-read author list, then she really should be.
Isabelle is setting of on her first assignment for the FBI. She is nervous and has a fear of flying, she’s making her way through the airport when she literally runs into the most gorgeous man she’s ever seen. He ends up helping her overcome her fears, distracting her and making her feel at ease, she is drawn to him- and they have a connection that’s electric. He intrigues her like no one else ever has before. But when she arrives at her destination she is given a file that will help brief her on her assignment, when she opens it, she sees the sexy face of the man who’d helped on the flight.
Isaac is a wealthy businessman who’s an extremely private person, and doesn’t do relationships or allow anyone to get to close to him. When a beautiful woman literally lands at his feet, he is intrigued and can’t help but be interested. These two probably shouldn’t have anything to do with the other, let alone fall in love. Especially with Isabelle’s job, the FBI investigation, her painful past, Isaac's business being dealings being called into question, as well as some serious trust issues; there are so many secrets between them that there is no way they can make this work. Or can they?
As the story unfolds, the storyline flows from one book into the next- taking us on a truly incredible journey with characters that will capture your heart and mind. I have spent quite a lot of time reflecting on how to do this boxed set real justice- how do I write a review that will convey just how amazing these books are and give you an idea of the story, without giving away any spoilers. I could go into more detail about what each book is about, but I think that gives away too much and you are better off not knowing too many details and just immersing yourself in the stories.
This boxed set is the best way to explore this series and Ms. Boyes’ work. It’s incredible value for money, four books for the price of one and no wait between books. So, if you are intrigued by the series or are thinking about whether to get the boxed set or not, dive right in and go for it, you are bound to love them just as much as I did. But be prepared to develop a serious addiction to Ms. Boyes stories.

Thank you, Ms Boyes!

Two thoughts:

1) We get it, you’re a “strong and independent woman” (are you really though? FBI Agent my a$$) so you can stop prefacing every submissive thought and action with that statement.

2) The word “Spawn” is extremely not sexy.

I liked the general storyline and idea, but I got tired of the repetitive narrative. And it felt like the interesting parts of the story were kind of glossed over and took a back seat to all of the repetition. Which is a shame because there were things that genuinely had me turning the page, but after a certain point I was skimming pages to get to the next interesting point.

Such BAD Writing

I normally don’t post reviews but I felt the need to warn potential readers so they don’t waste their time. The story-telling is just so bad!! I honestly tried to just push through and ignore it but I became too frustrated with the poor writing to continue the series. The main character’s reactions to just about everything are so off from what the average person would assume an FBI agent would do or say, it just becomes ridiculous. Besides that, there is constantly misused vocabulary that distracts from the story as well. It’s difficult to follow along and get immersed in the story when you can’t understand a character at all. I won’t be reading anything else by this author.

This box set has 4 books within. I was not able to put the stories down and glad it came as a set. The story about the characters Isabel and Issac was complicated and yet full of hot passionate attraction. This book is hot and steamy. Definitely not for the shy. Reading this made me want to find a guy like Issac.

Amazing

Loved it from beginning to end. For me, it had all the elements of a good romance book. Shandi Boyes did not disappoint. Loved the characters, the story line, the suspense, the drama, the hotness. I was intrigued and addicted from the very beginning. Looking forward to reading the books. It’s a must read

2.5 if im honest.

They were cute. I like the chemistry. But it went on way to long. There is such a thing as too many sex scenes. Especially when they’re redundant.

Enigma: The complete collection by Shandi Boyes a breath-taking five-star read
Enigma of Life a breath-taking five-star read. This is the first book in the Enigma series and is also book #1 in Isaacs story. It is recommended for over 18s as does contain scenes of a sexual and adult nature, as well as language that may offend some people. ‘Enigma is a person or thing that is mysterious or difficult to understand’ Isaac Holt is one such thing, and would definitely be classed as an enigma. This is a love story, but not your conventional love story, it shows us how just because you may be in love with someone doesn’t mean you will always get to be together. This is a story of how not everything is black and white, but there are many shades of grey in between also, that not everyone pays attention to.
Neither Isabella or Isaac are what they seem on the outside, and in the author’s own words ‘Until you have your own legitimate reason not to like someone, you should treat them how you wish to be treated’ I have loved this first book and can’t wait to get my teeth sunk into Isaac #2. The only downfall with this book was the cliff-hanger ending, but that just made me more eager to get onto the next book.
Unraveling the Enigma by Shandi Boyes a compelling and thrilling five-star read. This is the second book in the Enigma series and we get to see more of Isaacs story. We pick the story up after we left the first book, Isaac now knows that Isabella works for the FBI and he believes that she was undercover to get information on him, being too hurt and angry that he let her in to see what is under the surface. Feeling like he doesn’t know who she really is, Isaac feels betrayed and that she is a stranger. What he doesn’t know is what Isabella is going through to keep him safe.
This book has had me up and down more times than a kid on an escalator, I read with some friends so we usually read to a planned date order, I started the first book a little early as I finished the last book early and wanted to give it a try even though it wasn’t the next one up, then because of the cliff hanger I had to pick this one up sooner. I am so going to get a good kick as I need the third book now!! If it’s as good as I think, I am going to be in trouble as I will have finished the series before my girls even start.
Enigma: The Mystery unmasked by Shanti Boyes a twiterpating five-star read. This is the third book in the Enigma series and it is just as fast paced and thrill filled as the first book. One of the things about this series is how we are shown how Isabella Brahn has been through a lot, and has had to fight for everything she believes in and loves, we are shown that no matter how hard she fights, she can’t always win. This story goes from strength to strength, I can’t wait to read the next story in the series. You can’t help but watch her fight and want to stand alongside her holding her hand and getting the punching bag ready.
Enigma of Life by Shandi Boyes a five-star read that causes major tissue issues. This is the fourth book in the Enigma series and is the final piece of the Isaac and Isabelle story. After everything they have been through, will they finally get the ending they deserve? I love a good cry, and have been known to cry at adverts on TV, but this story has had me in sad tears where I didn’t want to read any more as I didn’t want to know what happened next, and happy tears were your faith in humanity is restored. This is a story of how not everything is black and white, but there are many shades of grey in between also, that not everyone pays attention to, but the author of this series has paid attention to every shade of grey.
This story has you gripped, you have to find out what happens, Isabelle already has PTSD will this be the final straw, will it break her? or will it make her realise that she has to fight for what she wants and make her realise exactly what she wants. We also get to find answers to some of the questions that have been burning in the back-ground for long time, I was so happy this happened, but it hasn’t shut the door on everything so the next book can’t come quickly enough. This author does a great job at wrapping things up, but keeping you on the hook so you have a passion that will keep you reading more and more.

Spoilers for book 1 and 2 in the Enigma series.
Did I finish this book? No.
BUT this IS a collection book and I did finish the first two books in the series so I feel like I can review those two books at least. Or you know, rant about just how horrible they are.
Did I come into this book expecting a literally masterpiece? No.
I saw a tik tok and it had angst and I'm a sucker for angst and I was like, it's spicy, its angsty, it's a mafia romance, this should be fun!
Was it fun?
No.
Absolutely abhorrent.
I wanted to scratch my eyes out while reading this absolutely atrocious story.
This story stars our FMC who is a rookie FBI agent given her first assignment.
SIKE, no it is not. Our protagonist is a bratty, clueless, dumb as rocks, 15 year old teenager with the confidence of butter left out of the fridge in a hot summer day, trapped in the body of what appears to be every man's wet dream of a woman, dressed up as an FBI agent for Halloween.
That is the only version I will accept anyway because our protagonist being an actual, intelligent, functional adult and an FBI agent to boot is just not believable.
For two whole books I kept going maybe, MAYBE she will mature, MAYBE THERE WILL BE GROWTH. Nope, she is a doormat, has no confidence and if this is the standard for FBI agents then the agency should have fallen apart the day of it's birth. She never stands up for herself, but she is supposed to be a dedicated law enforcement agent yet when she is told she has to go undercover in order to apprehend her target she takes it as a GREAT offence to her character because HOW DARE MY SUPERIOR THINK I WOULD STOOP THIS LOW AS TO GO UNDERCOVER EVEN THO I HAVE THE PERFECT IN THAT THE TARGET HIMSELF GAVE ME! Then for the rest of the two books I was able to get through she proceeds to be the absolute WORST agent in the history of agents working for the most USELESS task force EVER assembled because what do you even mean she went on a weekend vacation with the man that is supposed to be under surveillance AND NOBODY EVER NOTICED!
SPEAKING OF THE TASK FORCE!
What is the best way to convince your newly assigned rookie to go undercover in a suspected mafia leaders life? Call her a glorified prostitute of course. Also what is the best way to not let your operation fall apart at the seams, keep it under wraps and find solid proof for the accusations you want to give your target? Raid his home with no solid evidence and probable cause, arrest your target with no proof and no actual charges, violate his miranda rights and then have him walk out of the interrogation room because everything you just did was basically illegal and you can't hold him. Really, if this is how the FBI actually operates then I truly believe the whole country of USA is a comedy show and they FBI are the clowns.
Tho I truly believe there was absolutely no research done on any actual FBI operations for the writing of this books.
Now for our MMC. The suspected mafia boss. Every woman's wet dream. He has either f*cked all the women in this book and any he hasn't they desperately want him to. He operates exclusively with the head down bellow and has no actual character other than sex on legs. What does he do for a living you ask? No idea. He is a 25 year old millionaire of course but I'm not sure even he knows what his job actually is. We sure as hell don't because it's never mentioned, ever. Of course his redeeming quality is how much he loves our FMC...oh wait, he doesn't. Unless of course your definition of love is breaking up with your lady love cause she betrayed you only to spend the next few weeks only thinking about how much you miss f*cking her. Yes, he doesn't think of literally ANYTHING else than just how much he misses the sex, how much he missed her various body parts and specifically what is between her legs. Real romantic soul that one, he loves her for her sparkling personality OBVIOUSLY, that's just how they express intimacy which is repeatedly mentioned because the author clearly (and correctly) assumed nobody would ever believe there are any actual feelings between these two other than a disconcerting amount of lust...
Speaking of lust, I was never a believer of "too many sex scenes" but this books proved me WRONG!
Not only are there too many but they are also more tone deaf than a fox that's in a screaming competition with a hyena. Because what do you mean one second you are talking about your incredibly traumatic and horrifying childhood and the next you are in the mood to get frisky and immediately after you're done you go straight back to the traumatic childhood?
WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU JUST DID ONE OF THE MOST TRAUMATIC THINGS A HUMAN BEING CAN DO, YOU KEEP SAYING YOU FEEL DIRTY AND THEN WITHOUT ANY PAUSE, WITHOUT EVEN TAKING A FREAKING SHOWER YOU GO STRAIGHT INTO *fun times with the mafia boss*. HOW OUT OF TOUCH ARE YOU???
Now let's talk about the thing that bothered almost as much as our FMC. The women. The way ALL the women are written in these books had me seriously thinking the author was male. I am not joking. The misogyny is just unbelievable. ALL the female characters are literally there only to make our FMC jealous and in turn be jealous of our FMC because she has the object of their desires and they can't have him any more. It's borderline disgusting. Petty jealousy and caty behaviour is all you will find for the women of this book.
Don't read this awfulness.
Don't do it.
The fact that I managed to read the first two books was a miracle in and of itself and I skimmed A LOT! I will not read the rest of the books.
AND WHAT DO YOU MEAN HIS EX'S EYES WERE TRANSLUCENT??? COULD YOU SEE HER BRAIN WHEN YOU LOOKED HER IN THE EYE???
TRANSLUCENT????
REALLY????

It wasn’t exactly a great series… but I read all of the books so I have to give it props
Rating: 3/5 Stars

Since I downloaded a Kindle collection, I’m going to be giving reviews to all the books except to the Fourth which will be housed at the Collection’s page. I’m doing this so that my Kindle Notes are available for viewing as they span the entire series.

See all the other reviews here:
First book - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Second book - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Third book - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...
Fourth book / Collection - https://www.goodreads.com/review/show...

— — —

The third book really set the fourth one up to be good… but it failed. I swear she was kidnapped for like 3 pages and then the stand off wasn’t even cool or fun or worth it. It was 2/5 stars, which I know makes the average 2 stars, but I’m giving the collection 3 because it deserves that star for somehow convincing me to read all of this.

This book… all I have notes for are the kidnapping, and I genuinely don’t remember much about what happened. I think this is the ex-girlfriend one? I dunno, they all sort of have the same plot struggle and arguments so they all blend into each other. There’s still little to no mafia discussion. The mafia stuff that is brought up is glossed over and resolved so quickly.

I was hoping the kidnapping would be a really fun plot twist, but it happened so quick and then the conclusion with just a concussion was lameeee. Also the way he explained it to her afterwards was annoying because I swear that no man talks like that. The rest of the series is him all cave man going “She is mine. MINE.” But suddenly he’s gonna whip out the “Fury raged through my body hot and fast when I saw you bound and gagged to that rickety wooden chair. Your hair was damp and clinging to your neck. Your eyes were open wide with pupils dilated, and your beautiful face was stained with tears.” Yeah, right.

Okay spoilers here but if you’ve made it this far into my reviews, I doubt you care about it. Either way, UN SPOILER TAGGED SPOILERS AHEAD. That was your warning. CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE HUGO ISABELLE KISS? Hugo is my favorite character and I honestly feel like he had way better chemistry with Izzy. They had more of a natural relationship and a caring one too compared to Isaac who was just constantly possessive and horny or mad and horny. There was no inbetween. The kiss was sexy, it was shocking, scandalous. I was full on ready for this MMF harem and shit. Like YAAASSS. I would not read any of the other books in this universe, but I might just read Hugo’s simply because I love his character. At the same end, I don’t want him to be ruined for me lol. But the kiss. Oh my god the reasoning behind it, the caring but yet possessiveness of not wanting her to be with another guy (even if it was only because he didn’t want Isaac to find out he was letting her kiss some other guy), YES. Full send. And then he carries her out and smacks her ass? Perfect. Made the entire series worth it. Threatening her with more punishment if she pukes in his car? I can’t tell you why, but that’s hot. I love it. You go girl. I was so close to giving this book 3 stars because of it.

But anyway, that’s the end. It was okay.

Words cannot describe how much I hate this book……..Isaac is alpha male and she’s the “badass” fbi agent……….but she’s not tho bc she folds for Isaac immediately……..like i was hoping for her to be more independent and head strong but Jesus………she hasn’t gone a chapter let alone a page without thinking or speaking about Isaac or wanting to fuvk him ALSO I love smutty books don’t get me wrong but why is it that every page in this books she basically is trying to fick him……….or thinks abt it. On top of that, her trying to give Isaac a kiss on her bday when he was already cold asf to her and never has taken the first move to do so…….after he rejected you publicly too girl GIRL STAND UP PLS FUCK DUDE………..she feel in love with him super easy gave everything up for this man for him to say you’re mine and never say I love you GIRL STAND UP THATS NOT LOVE THATS POSSESSION!!!! PLUS HE CHEATED ON YOU LIKE HUH?!? She quits her job, her life, mind you she literally said she would do anything to be with him like girl that’s not healthy AT ALL (and I’ve read stalker romances……..that’s healthier then this bullshit) on top of all this their only source of communication is sex, him growling, her running away or crying……..NO ONE EVER TALKS IN THIS BOOK STRANGLE ME!!!!! Going back to him cheating on her AFTER HE PROPOSED (men ain’t shit) HE CHEATED ON HER WITH THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE?!? (The same girl/reason why he can’t tell her I love you) GIRL RUN BUT YOU LNOW WHAT SHE DOES INSTEAD FUCKS HIM?!? HUHHHHHHHHHHH…….I hate when aurthors write women as weak minded and can only revolve around men it sickens me

I really wanted to like this book series, but there were a lot of things that bothered me. It was definitely spicy, which I loved, but some of the sex scenes were super cringy. Also, I was losing respect for Izzy the further into the series I got; her and Isaac are just toxic.

My main issues:

Isaac’s possessiveness and jealousy. Isaac was insane when it came to Izzy and punished her sexually when she did things he didn’t like or approved of. He lost his mind when Hugo comforted her after her nightmares when she and Isaac had to be apart. Get ahold of yourself, man, she was traumatized. Later in the series, he got so insanely upset she kissed Hugo, when he left to see if Ophelia was really alive, making Izzy believe he was choosing Ophelia, and he kissed Ophelia when he saw her but then stopped because it didn’t feel right. Double standards. Pass.

Izzy being the “strong, independent woman” her uncle raised her to be but then forgetting her anger as soon as Isaac looked at her with smoldering eyes or kissed her? Gross. She also let Isaac boss her around and dictate what she could do and who she could be around. She was upset she couldn’t call the shots in her own life but let Isaac do whatever because he was “so attractive”. Honestly I was just embarrassed for her. Pass.

The following phrases: “scrumptious kiss”, “scrumptious smile”, “inner vixen”, “swallowing his spawn”, “pussy-clenching smirk”, something to do with feeling the excitement “in her womb”, “quivering thighs”, and so many more. I should’ve written them down but I did so much cringing.

There were of course things I liked, like Isaac adopting Izzy’s sister at the very end; but overall, I just wasn’t as impressed as I wanted to be. There were some really interesting aspects, like Izzy being framed for murder, but I feel like the interesting parts were glossed over. Also, this did not need to be four books. Maybe two.

Great potential, mediocre story.

This tale had a strong and steamy start right off the bat. However though the story was intriguing and the relationship whirlwind enough to keep me engaged I found the characters to be quite lacking. The FMC was supposed to be a dedicated FBI agent with the seed of darkness in her background. Almost all of that gets thrown out the window the second the MMC is around. He comes in the room she becomes a doormat. She gives up everything to hormones. At least she maintained integrity throughout the story. The MMC is a control freak with the tragic background. The very nature of this background should have taught him to listen to his partner. That is not the case. It's always how he wants things when he wants them regardless of what the FMC declares she wants. While he does not coerce her into sexual activity he does use sex to subvert her will to his. Their relationship is repeatedly tested and they always come out "stronger" on the other side. I'm really not sure how that happens because for every challenge they face they bang it out until she goes along with what he wants. The story constantly tells us that they have a strong and intimate relationship but really the only intimacy is sexual or narrated as though they have years of understanding and communication between them even though they never talk to each other about anything of importance.

The spicy aspect of the story is a D/s relationship with power games and rare mild impact play that though intense is relatively vanilla. I think they would be classified as a pleasure Dom and service sub. The spicy side of the story does tend to overwhelm plot but it's mostly well written and can be forgiven.

The Enigma Box set by Shandi Boyes is the story of Issac and Izzy all in one complete set. This author has created a series that you will not be able to put down. It will keep you engaged until the end. You will find yourself sitting on the edge of your seat one minute and needing ice water the next. You will love this author's writing style and her attention to details. Her creation of characters are connectable and true to life. They will take you on a roller coaster ride of various emotions that you won't want to miss. You will get pulled in from the first word until the very last. I loved each book in this series and I know you will too. This story will show you that not everything is what it seems. Some times life struggles get in the way but when fate steps in, watch out! This story has a little bit of everything in it to satisfy whatever it is you are looking for. I highly recommend you read this series. I know you will want to see what happens when two people meet on an airplane and what happens after that WOW! You won't regret picking up this box set. Once you start Issac and Izzy story, you won't be able to put it down until you get to the last page of the last book. Will fate allow them to have their HEA or will fate decide it has other plans?

I want my time back

I very rarely DNF, so I read the entire series. Issac is awful, and Isabelle is a doormat. She didn't fit the FBI agent she was supposed to be at all. The constant mention of revolvers was ridiculous. Law enforcement has automatic weapons.

Spoilers Warning

The hot and cold in the beginning was so tedious but constantly being faced with women she slept with, then kept around him was ridiculous. So he could believe he slept with Clara, but keep all men away from Isabelle. The thing that made me HATE this book was the end he left her, then didn't just kiss but made out with Olivia/Ophelia and Isabelle just so easily took him back. She needed to stand her ground and he needed an epic gravel to make their HEA even remotely happy. Especially since he refused to say I love you even after they were engaged. I would rather have seen her end up with Brandon, Ryan. Hugo or even Alex before Issac

This had so much potential and could've been so good based on the main plot. The first three books were pretty good (plot wise despite some minor plot holes), but I also had some issues with this series. The FMC who is supposedly a strong, independent, and badass FBI agent just becomes a crybaby who loses all her backbone in front of the MMC. MCs don't really do a lot of talking either, just a lot of communicating with their eyes and every conversation in the last two books basically starts/ends in sex. Also, a lot of repetition of certain phrases that were very cringey after reading them more than 10 times (i.e., the word "inner vixen" and "spawn" were mentioned 37 times altogether). Great side characters though, but I don't think I'll want to suffer through their books in case they're the exact same as this one (but I am super curious about everyone's past so maybe I'll do a speed read of them or find spoilers). Gave a 3 for the plot (it's potential) and the side characters.

Amazing! Loved it!

This story was by no means a cliché and I loved how I expected certain situations to happen and was proved wrong. This love story broke my heart, the feelings were undeniable. Each character was very enthralling I couldn't get enough I read the 4 books in 4 days. Izzy and Isaac's love went through so many obstacles and hurdles and managed to have their HEA without a doubt. I loved every book. And would live to continue reading the rest of the characters' stories.

Whew!!!

I absolutely love this box set. The chemistry between the two main characters was off the chart. So many twist and turns, I never knew what was coming next. I would whole heartedly recommend this set. Sandi Boyes you are on my list of top author's. Bravo! Now, in to Hugo's story.

Amazing

This is the first book I've read from this author and I am blown away. You can really connect with the character throughout and it really takes you on a journey. If you love story's of love, intrigue and unexpected twists with a super Alpha male- this is a book for you. It's like no other love story I have read. I really recommend this book. The only disappointed thing for me was the ending i wanted more.

Enigma: The Complete Collection

There are serious shades of grey in this series of books. Isaac is dominance personified. Isabel is strong, but questions herself too often. Still, their love story is a good, gripping tale.

Enigma Box Set is a definite five star read

Enigma Of Life Book 1
Author Shandi Boyes

Isaac Holt one extremely hot night club owner
Isabelle Brahm FBI Agent
Isaac and Isabelle world are about to collide in a way none of them could have imagined. They literally bumped in to each other at the New York Airport. Isabelle bumped into Isaac hard chest sending her to the floor in an unladylike way. He grabs her by the elbow to steady her on her feet and when she bent down to pick her things up he had the same idea and they bumped heads. Isaac cussed loudly, Isabelle cussed quietly. The bump on the head was hard and it had her vision blurred, Isaac checking her over to make sure she was okay noticed a bump on her head. He took her to the first class lounge so he could put ice on the bump and give her a couple of drinks. Looking at Isaac’s watch she tells him she has to go or she will miss her flight.
Getting on the plane she is extremely nervous as she does not like to fly and once again after putting her jacket and satchel in the overhead compartment trips over her own feet in front of Isaac. She sees Isaac grin as he takes the seat by her. Noticing she is afraid of flying he tells her she will be okay and has a fix for the problem. An electrical jolt goes through her body as he starts to run his index finger over the veins in the back of her hand, he runs his finger up and down her arm, wraps his strong hand around her neck in an erotic and domineering way.
Isabelle’s life is about to be pulled into two different directions and there will be nothing that she can do about it. Arriving at Ravenshoe Airport she is given his business card for the Dungeon and he tells her to be there Saturday night at 10pm. Regina is there to pick her up. While driving Regina tells her to look in the gray manila folder page two. There she sees herself looking at the gorgeous Isaac Holt.
She asks Regina why he is being investigated and is told because he made his first million dollars by the time he was twenty.
Isabelle introduces herself to Brandon but before he can answer Alex yells across the office telling Brandon he wanted the paper work and now. Alex wanted a blonde agent as they have only seen him with blondes over the last couple of months, seeing Isabelle is a brunette he yells at someone else, telling Isabella that she is not here for her brains but as eye candy for Isaac.
Will hiring Isabelle work in attracting Isaac?

Enigma: The Mystery Unmasked Book 3
Author Shandi Boyes

Wow has this book had me on an emotional roller coaster.
Isaac and Izzy are not only in a fight for her freedom on murder charges but they are also in for a fight of their life for their relationship. With the evidence against Izzy looking more like planted evidence Regan is now sure she can get Izzy off the murder charges but that will have to wait until it goes to court for the judge to decide. Until he judge makes his ruling there is nothing Isaac and Izzy can do but wait. However with the one single indiscretion Isaac has had since he and Izzy became a couple hanging over his head he is in a mess and everything is worthless to him if he doesn’t have Izzy in his life.
The night that he was arrested and his home trashed by the FBI Isaac got himself drunk, He got Hugo to take him to his apartment forgetting Clara was there. When he awoke the next morning he was distressed to see Clara in the same bed as him. Being so drunk he could not remember if anything had happened between the both of them. His first rational thoughts were of Izzy even though she had spent the last few months seeing him while the FBI were investigating him and she was an FBI agent. When Clara spitefully tells Izzy that she and Isaac slept together, she decides to bring the matter up with Isaac, instead of listening to what he might have to say she storms out of their hotel room telling him it’s over.
On a Sunday morning run with Hugo he begs Izzy to forgive Isaac telling her that love is worth fighting for. She however tells Hugo she feels it’s not worth the fight. Hugo says nothing is fixed by running and instead of listening to what he is saying she gets nasty with Hugo and throws the fact that he ran from his life to. Sensing that she hurt him she wishes she could take the words back. Hugo trying to get Izzy to forgive Isaac tells her that Isaac does love her but she’s not listening. She tells Hugo that she wants all of him not half as she feels half of him still belongs to Ophelia. Hugo the darling man tells her no one knows what would have happened with him and Ophelia had she not died. He also says just like her relationship with Isaac no one knows and that it could fizzle out in months. Izzy is being too stubborn to listen to what Hugo is saying and thinks what she is thinking is right for her. Just like Isaac every inch of her body aches for him, he has her heart and her soul but she is not willing to get over what may or may not have happened with Clara. Both Isaac can Izzy have caused each other pain, his pain when he found out she was a FBI agent and the Clara episode was her pain. She must now also think what she is going to do if she is let off the murder charges, as a few weeks ago before she was arrested she was going to live with Isaac and leave the FBI.

Enigma: The Final Chapter Book 4

The purpose of the kidnapping is that Col wants Isaac to see the life go out of Isabel’s eyes as this is what happened to his daughter Ophelia when she was with Isaac. With only a split second Isaac dives at the chair Isabelle is sitting on and knocks it over protecting her body from the gun shot. But in doing so he gives her stage three concussion. When Isaac looks up he sees Col dead and the others from Col’s crew hand cuffed by Alex and Isaac’s security team. With this photo of Ophelia Isabelle tells Isaac she needs to go back to Tiburon for a few days but won’t tell him why. After an argument he allows her to go but only if Hugo goes with her and this was not negotiable. Turns out Ophelia is very much alive and is working as a pharmacy assistant and has a child that could possibly be Isaacs. Now they have seen her Hugo drives straight to the airport so they can go home and let Isaac know this information. While she is telling Isaac he doesn’t know whether to believe her or not until he sees the photo.

Arriving at the plane she sees a little girl. Isaac gets down to her level and she knocks him to the ground. He looks at Calli and tells her Isabelle is her sister.
Isabelle looks at Isaac remembering the photo of him with Vladimir.
She asks Isaac Vladimir? He answers yes.
