Now the Crimson War has ended, Seb Zodo has returned to the Shadow Order’s base with Sparks, SA, and Bruke.

The sadness of losing Gurt still weighs heavy on Seb’s heart. So when he finds himself faced with another mission for the Shadow Order, a mission that involves the eradication of a deadly parasite on a hostile planet; a parasite responsible for wiping out an entire mining colony, he has a tough choice to make. Go against Moses and refuse the mission, or jump on a shuttle and face the deadly threat that could see him and his friends killed ...

Either way, it isn’t going to be pretty.

Star Wars meets Alien. The world the author has created meets the richness of a Star Wars type universe with a multiverse of creatures, but within an Alien type story in which the Shadow Order heroes battle against infected humans and the aliens that possess them. The story continues to develop the main character’s not so fully human lineage, but there’s still plenty of questions regarding his mysterious talents and why some call him the chosen one. This is Space Opera at its finest with action adventure from start to finish.

Another fast-paced, well-written story in the box set I have. This mission sees Seb and co. sent to a planet that's been infected with - ugh.

Plenty of action, though sometimes I wonder it's a little too much and things other than fights would be better. I do like it when 'baddies' are defeated but the mental rather than physical could be a pleasant change - like justice in court or a clever trap for those that rule.

Still an enjoyable tale and it's interesting to see the development between Seb and SA.

Recommended.

While Seb wants to do more than earn credits for the boss, Moses, a shark, he is forced to do the job Moses gives him or watch others suffer. So Seb does it his way. The problem is in trying to protect them he alienates his team. Seb learns a few more life lessons as they battle parasites, zombies, and large creatures.

The story moves along at a steady pace and makes for a solid space opera read without being complex or intellectually heavy.

More of the same

This lost my interest at 5%. It opens with two of my least favorite images. The first is the shark headed humanoid that I just found less than believable in the earlier books. The second is another pointless fight for Seb against an opponent who should be able to destroy him easily but who I know will lose to Seb, because they always do.

I'm not sure what the point of these books is but I'm out. I didn't finish this book and won't be starting another.

'Sometimes you needed to tell yourself lies to keep going. Sometimes the reality didn’t bear thinking about.'

Another fantastic adventure down!
Seb and the team end up on a dangerous radiation planet with parasites that have turned a mining colony into zombies.

Their task is too 'Eradicate' the parasitic invasion.

Another book by Michael and not a single dull moment in sight. Full of action. Full of brilliance

The team are learning to play by each others strengths and weaknesses.

Still perils of Pauline

This book lightened up a bit on Seb's complaining of aches and pains and odors. It is there and readers aren't stupid to not know it. Just don't dwell on it and mention it twice per page. Once per chapter would be fine. Getting better. Maybe the next one will earn 4Stars

I love the cast of characters in this series. Michael Robertson has created a fantastically unique world in which his characters interact. The pace of the story keeps you engaged and keeps the pages turning. The Shadow Order series has all of the necessary elements of a great Space Opera.

Getting slow

And tiring. One mission, one book. Really not moving the overarching plot forward. A battle is a battle is a battle. Let's move on.
