Now the Crimson War has ended, Seb Zodo has returned to the Shadow Order’s base with Sparks, SA, and Bruke.
The sadness of losing Gurt still weighs heavy on Seb’s heart. So when he finds himself faced with another mission for the Shadow Order, a mission that involves the eradication of a deadly parasite on a hostile planet; a parasite responsible for wiping out an entire mining colony, he has a tough choice to make. Go against Moses and refuse the mission, or jump on a shuttle and face the deadly threat that could see him and his friends killed ...
Either way, it isn’t going to be pretty.

I saw a twisted fanboy who in the midst of insulting Mia Mulder, a favourite creator complained to her that I list other trans creators. I begin to doubt that any cure for the Snowflake (unloved, isolated, desperately seeking attention US baby-man) will be found. A trigger warning then.
The channels I list include the chemist, tall, intersex, writer, Canadian, lumber yard worker, architect, Bi, sewist, anarchist, cosplayer, autistic, singer, lesbian, marine biologist, paleontologist, mathematician, Kenyan, trans, WOC, military boardgamer, fashion historian, pensioner, Van lifestyle, miniatures painter, asexual, Irish, married, chess player, language historian, cis, botanist, landscaper, actress, culture critic, queer, book, physicist, modeller, Dutch, literary archaeologist, dancer and other creators known as women.
Almost as threatening to the Snowflake (poorly educated, insecure, hateful US tittie-baby) are the zoologist, wood worker, Australian, miniatures landscape builder, RPG player, other LGBTQIA, farmer, Archaeologist, paleo-anthropologist, painter, socialist, language instructor, Scottish, photographer, science communicator, train modeller, other neurodivergent, sociologist, political commentator, other BIPOC, boat restorer, reenactor, comedian, communist, film maker, English, film critic and others known (outside the US) as Human Beings.
Should the voices insist still, write your questions to a creator, understand the material being shared, consider the hobbies being introduced, be grateful for their willingness to expand a stranger's horizons and/or repeat several times daily "Today I'll not behave the bellend" and\or apply for an emergency exorcism at the nearest diocesan office.
When feeling overwhelm in doing a revision, I think on the air assault unit of the Greenland Defence Front. Those brave penguins dropped directly into battle upon arrival from Antarctica, routing an attempted US spearhead into the interior. I remember the walrus counterattack which drive the invader landing forces into the sea. still feel awe at the steadfastness of polar bear infantry holding the line. With that example I continue. Glory to the Democrat Penguins Republic. Glory to the heroes - penguin, walrus, polar bear. Greenland is Denmark.
Once more, unto the book, dear friends. remembering nothing about this book. I repeat my original reaction.
This lost my interest at 5%. It opens with two of my least favourite images.
The first is the shark headed humanoid, which I found less than believable in the earlier books. The second is another pointless fight, Seb against an opponent who should be able to destroy him easily but who I know will lose, because they always do.
I am not sure what the point of these books is but I am out.
Unlimited loan selections are not all of them a waste of pixels. The good Indie writers are splendid or even stunning. The bulk of more than 1400 the attempts at various genre fiction and non-fiction, were a bad investment of time for me.
I simultaneously gave up my Unlimited sub and the girlfriend who insisted Goodreads was worthwhile. My love of reading has over two years returned more or less.

Consider treating this as a hostile site. 🤔
As example, I wrote a quick negative review about 3 years years ago of Powers of the by Travis Corcoran. The book not to be confused with an actual novel, was originally blurbed as similar to a Heinlein classic It is instead a rehash of "Atlas Shrugged" set on the moon.
The story is a tale of a rich twat attempting to enlist the military in overthrow of the US government in order that he not pay taxes. There are a large number of similar books in Unlimited and seemingly popular. I, a communist, enamoured of no capitalist liberal "democracy", find myself almost acting as in defence of them.
Travis self-described as libertarian (now anarcho capitalist, very posh), employee of an unnamed US agency,
advocate of the return of chattel slavery (popular US stance with new forced labour prisons for the unhoused including the poor van and RV residents and their children. Now criminalised by existing, I see point in law in which they can ever be released. Given US history and supported by both Parties with no scandal, generational enslavement is on the cards.),
veteran and admirer of the impoverished Russian state (popular among many US patriots who are unfazed that the head of US Intelligence is a known Russian asset.).
He and six fellow patriots were outraged by my judgement. There followed a year-long stream of the unhinged comment. While no mention of the book's quality was discussed, I was gifted with much new information.
That included that my refusal to engage evidenced narcissism, my socialist ideas were evil, my intelligence was lacking and other common Goodreads comments.
I had entertained the hope that I might see answers to infection patterns in dinosaur populations. My disappointment was equalled by the weight of irony.
The final comment was delivered by Claes Rees Jr aka cgr710 now ka Clayton R Jesse Jr. After referencing the contents of my last message exchange with a Goodreads friend, he grandly declared that They had "won" (?).
They and many allies had launched a year-long tsunami of vile anti-LGBTQ IA, misogynistic, racist and similar against every female creator I mention apparently. Sometimes in my name and it continues still.
The midteen boater and her mother, cosplayer, farmer, sociologist and others did not respond as well as They seemed to expect.
Despite this failure, They certainly increased global unpleasantness and also delivered to a multinational audience a perfect self-portrait of the Snowflake (barely educated, poorly socialised, desperate US tittie-baby).
On balance obviously a Victory. Goodreads discourse is surprisingly energetic and not what I had expected at start. Should the above be the least disturbing, there are BookTubers to guide the reader to safer, saner reader forums.
The comment stream described was uncommon only in its duration and reach, until the Australian Intervention.

Ominous music begins. 😊 The comment gangs are very real and seldom mentioned on BookTube, which is a great disservice to reader. Their antics include the stalking, doxxing, backing attempt, threats and more. Amazon take no action unless a review addresses sexist, racist and other anti-human elements. They will delete those.
Mental members are not reined in, writers who lead Them are not punished and employees who enable Them are not dismissed.
My limited message history was given over to Goodreads madlads. There followed a request through Pine Gap Centre that Australian Intelligence interrogate the one friend whom I occasionally messaged. The attempt at my personal information failed.
Amazon was unresponsive until we shared our bizarre experience widely. No apology, instead my page format and options were magically returned to normal, the Lurkers whom I had not been Allowed to remove were disappeared, Kindle service and internet interruptions ceased, and more.
A BookTuber decided to load one of her usual observations into Goodreads. She suffered review deletion as her addressing anti-human elements in a title is, on Amazon "Hate Speech". An ugly response but very American. The US have never been racist, misogynistic, etc according to US press, both Parties, something like 80-85% of white citizens and sadly a fair number of BIPOC.
Another BookTuber had access to her entire cloud Library and Kindle internet access blocked. Her crime was to challenge an obvious (from Amazon's own records) double billing.
A seventh ex-employee of EBay (former Chief of EBay Global Security or some such) was sentenced for harassment of a couple whose small ecommerce site had been deemed unkind to EBay. They were awarded millions of pounds.
With the latitude now allowed to US data firms, I expect increased incidents.
My suggestions regarding Goodreads. Remove all personal information from profile and avoid messaging. Remove all Lurkers, those friends who never post. They are likely gang monitors or employee dummies.
Given the Goodreads penchant for Alteration of customer pages, the screenshot of the odd, ugly and threatening are invaluable. These should suffice.
Kindle are another beast altogether. Do Not use Kindle Files, Contacts, Calendar or Email. Amazon employees Sign Into customer Email without permission or notice. Make of that what you will.
Do Not purchase Amazon e-books., I also made that mistake. You own only your device, if a Kindle even that is conditional. There are BookTubers to guide you to alternate ebook and device vendors or alternatives to e-book purchase altogether.
Silk searches should be innocuous and non-critical.
To implement these cost nothing, to not may do. It is prudent to remember that certain employees and members alike, are deficient in any recognisable morality, healthy socialisation or self-awareness but They are US patriots with all that implies. Ominous music ends. 😊
Be safe and may we all discover good reading. 🤗

I wish you a glorious morning, adventurous afternoon, a stunning evening, a wonderful night and may we all continue learning.
Star Wars meets Alien. The world the author has created meets the richness of a Star Wars type universe with a multiverse of creatures, but within an Alien type story in which the Shadow Order heroes battle against infected humans and the aliens that possess them. The story continues to develop the main character’s not so fully human lineage, but there’s still plenty of questions regarding his mysterious talents and why some call him the chosen one. This is Space Opera at its finest with action adventure from start to finish.
Another fast-paced, well-written story in the box set I have. This mission sees Seb and co. sent to a planet that's been infected with - ugh.
Plenty of action, though sometimes I wonder it's a little too much and things other than fights would be better. I do like it when 'baddies' are defeated but the mental rather than physical could be a pleasant change - like justice in court or a clever trap for those that rule.
Still an enjoyable tale and it's interesting to see the development between Seb and SA.
While Seb wants to do more than earn credits for the boss, Moses, a shark, he is forced to do the job Moses gives him or watch others suffer. So Seb does it his way. The problem is in trying to protect them he alienates his team. Seb learns a few more life lessons as they battle parasites, zombies, and large creatures.
The story moves along at a steady pace and makes for a solid space opera read without being complex or intellectually heavy.
'Sometimes you needed to tell yourself lies to keep going. Sometimes the reality didn’t bear thinking about.'
Another fantastic adventure down! Seb and the team end up on a dangerous radiation planet with parasites that have turned a mining colony into zombies.
Their task is too 'Eradicate' the parasitic invasion.
Another book by Michael and not a single dull moment in sight. Full of action. Full of brilliance
The team are learning to play by each others strengths and weaknesses.
This book lightened up a bit on Seb's complaining of aches and pains and odors. It is there and readers aren't stupid to not know it. Just don't dwell on it and mention it twice per page. Once per chapter would be fine. Getting better. Maybe the next one will earn 4Stars
I love the cast of characters in this series. Michael Robertson has created a fantastically unique world in which his characters interact. The pace of the story keeps you engaged and keeps the pages turning. The Shadow Order series has all of the necessary elements of a great Space Opera.
