Two hundred years in the future, in a world where death is a mere inconvenience and resurrection is commonplace, crime analyst Alex Matthias is called in to investigate a gruesome murder via hacking. Working alongside the New Washington Police Department, the investigation soon revolves around Aeternalis, Inc., the company that made resurrection possible. A trail of clues leads Alex to a dangerous cult of religious fanatics and to memories of his past he would rather keep buried. Alex and his team must uncover the fanatics’ agenda in a race against time that leads him all the way to the Genesis Sphere, Aeternalis’ virtual afterlife, where anything is possible.
I'm the author of The Genesis Sphere, my first novel, and a lifelong resident of New Jersey. All my life, I've been inspired by the science fiction greats like Isaac Asimov, Frederik Pohl, and Arthur C. Clark, as well as more modern authors like Peter F. Hamilton and Brandon Sanderson. My primary interests have always been technology and science. To the end, I got my Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology, and have spent the majority of my professional career working with technology. My love for these fields, and my fascination with the potential future of the human race, led me to write my novel.
The future has never looked more creative, believable and intriguing. A easy read that engaged me to the point I did not want the tale to end. Even after the final pages are read you are left pondering about everything that took place and how it can relate to today's current events. I look forward to reading about Alex's next assignment and what awaits in his future.
I'm not generally a fan of science fiction, but someone recommended this book so i thought I'd give it a shot. I was delighted. The sort was engaging from the beginning and developed at a good pace.
If i didn't know it was the first by this author, I wouldn't have guessed it. It was completely enjoyable.
