Oasis- D L Gallie

I was given this book for an honest and unbiased review.

***** 4 1/2 FABULOUS STARS

My first read of a D L Gallic work and I'm hooked. Such fun to read, a total escape which is the backbone of this story.

Three college graduates decide to make a week of decadence at Oasis their final hurrah before entering the adult world. They'll play hard, live hard and party harder but No Boys!

Three equally fun loving guys, ready to embark on a great escape of their own, trip over their tongues when they meet up with our three girls...... well I don't need yo paint you any more pictures.

Some hot steamy nights and days ensue and fir a rom com it was a great short read. Plenty to keep you interested and well developed characters and a solidly planned story. Such fun. Thanks Dana, I'll be looking for more of your work.

Oasis by DL Gallie is a story that has romance and comedy mixed together. This story will make you laugh in parts and needing to cool off in other parts. This is my first story by this author and I enjoyed her development of characters and her attention to details. She made you feel like you were right there with the characters. I enjoyed her writing style which pulled me in from the first word. The creation of characters are great as they all have a connection that you can see and they are true to life. You will find yourself connecting with these characters. This is a fun story about three friends who go on vacation for a week and make a pact no men. Find out if they stick to their pact or will they change their minds?

Three girl friends take a vacation that is much needed for all of them. It is a girls only getaway to celebrate their college graduations. They all agree, no guys but lots of dancing, cocktails and tanning is what they all need. Will they change when they meet three sexy guys before their plane even takes off? Will they ditch the no guys pact and give in to temptation? Maybe a hot steamy week is what they all need to cool off. What they don't count on is the feelings that develop during the short amount of time they are all together.

Oasis is where the sun is hot, the drinks are cool and the heat just isn't from the beach. Will it just be a vacation fling for this group or will they find something they can't take back? Is what happens in Oasis stays in Oasis or is there something more happening here? These group of characters will leave you in stitches. They are strong and each and every character is what makes up this whole story to make it flow. They all have a connection and complement each other. They each have their own story but what happens when they can't resist temptation? Is the beach and all the fun that goes with it the only thing they can't get enough of? Is it all over when the vacation is over or will there be more to this story? Find out what happens to this group as temptation and hot romance take over.

This is my first story by DL Gallie and I know it won't be the last. I truly enjoyed her writing style and how well the story flowed together. DL currently lives with her husband and two children in Gladstone, Australia. Shortly after their son was born, her husband encouraged her to pick up the pen and start writing. She has been doing this ever since and the voices in her head haven't stopped yet. You will enjoy how this story is fast paced and you will be able to read it in one sitting. This story will keep you engaged until the end and keep you wanting more. This is really a sweet romance that you will not want to miss. I highly suggest this story as I know you will want to see what happens to this group. What happens in Oasis stays in Oasis or does it?

4 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Oasis is a standalone contemporary romance novel by D.L Gallie and I really enjoyed it! This is the first book that I have read by this author and I was impressed by her nice relaxed writing style. The book was an easy read, had a nice storyline, a fast pace and some really great characters. I have to say the author did a really good job with describing the setting too as it sounded so beautiful and idyllic. The story is based around three friends who have decided to go on a girls holiday to celebrate their graduation and whist all three do feature heavily we tend to read about some more than others. I loved the easy friendship the girls had, they definitely sounded like people you would want to go on a girls holiday with! Their one pact for the holiday was no boys – something that was broken before they even set foot on the plane! So along with the three girls, Serena, Heather and Michele, we have the three boys, Blake, Robert and Tom off on their boy’s holiday! It’s not long before sparks fly between the six of them. I’m not usually a fan of insta love stories but these characters just fit together. The boys had a relationship with each other similar to the girls and the groups just blended together seamlessly. We mainly read about Serena and Blake and we get to read about their ‘holiday fling’ in Oasis. Blake was a really lovely character and sounded extremely sexy! I liked that Serena had a sensible idea of how the week long relationship with Blake would end and wasn’t a needy character like she could have become. I really loved the ending to the book – not quite sure if I was expecting it or not but even so definitely a sweet moment!
This book is definitely one for a summer holiday read! I loved the storyline, the characters and the setting sounded amazing! I am looking forward to reading more from this author in the future.

Oasis by DL Gallie Rated 4 stars

The girls have a plan of NO Boys week. So there can be nothing more than flirting. But once they see them and meet them all bets are off!
Serena Bateman and her two best friends Heather and Michele are headed out to a week long vacation to Oasis where the water is blue, the sand is white and the drinks never stop flowing. They agreed to all just hang out, relax and have a No Boys week.
Serena meets Blake Kelton on the plane and starts having second thoughts about her No Boys Week. She hopes he and his 2 friends are going to Oasis too
Blake and his 2 best friends take a vacation yearly. Usually they go camping, fishing and live in the woods. This year they opted for something different. Going to the beach. Once he sees Serena, before they even get on the plane, he is immensely grateful for the change in plans.
This is a cute short story. It is a smooth easy to read book. It's easy to tell the Serena and the Blake each have a great camaraderie with their besties. There is much joking around between them and once they hook up with each other the fun doesn't stop. I enjoyed the back and for between the girls and the practical jokes the guys gave each other. Serena and Blake have a lot of chemistry between them. They can't keep their eyes or hands off each other. Robert and Tom both seem to have found a kindred soul in Heather and Michele. Seems they are all starting new chapters in their lives when they get back from their last fling or as they say they will start “adulting” when they get back. Can some of these couples outlast the seven days or is a vacation fling all they are worth?

Oasis By D.L.Gallie

Oasis is a standalone novel By D.L.Gallie,once I started reading I couldn't put it down. It was a very quick and yet very enjoyable book about three girlfriens,Serena,Michelle and Heather, they are going on a week long vacation to Oasis.Theyve each agreed to no boys,no flitrying. There idea is to go relax, they just graduated college and want to unwind before the next chapter starts, becoming adults and getting jobs. Then there's Blake,Robert, and Tom who are three guys headed to Oasis also for a week long vacation to unwind, usually who go camping, fishing, and just have a good time in the woods. This year they decided to do something different, they also have a no girls rule.Blake spots Serena before he even gets on the plane, once on the plane he realizes she sitting right across the aisle from him. Once off the plane ,both the gals and the guys  meet in the pool and each of them set off to have a week none of them will ever forget.Blake and Serena can't seem to keep there hands off each other.Robert and Tom become pretty in tune with Michelle and Heather. The six of them have an amazing time while together at Oasis. The guys like to joke around with each and the gals  don't mind it at all. This was such a cute story,it was easy to read and I love how the story flowed. All six of the characters got along wonderfully.   So the question is Does what happens in Oasis stay in Oasis? This was my first book by this author and I absolutely will be reading more. I recommend this book, like I said it's a quick funny romance novel.

Oasis
By: DL Gallie
5 out of 5 stars

The story Oasis by DL Gallie is a romantic comedy book. This may be a story that will have you laughing and believing in finding love at the same time. It is the story of three friends that are on a getaway to the resort of Oasis to rest, unwind, and just plain have fun. While there are rules to begin with, they are soon abandoned with them meeting three incredibly hot guys. What is in store for these three friends? Will it include a chance of falling in love?

This story is amazing. I was laughing out loud at the situations that happened. These three friends go on a vacation that changes as soon as they get on the plane. I loved the friendship that is strong between these three women and how they tease each other. The bantering back and forth is hilarious. It also has its moments that will give you that warm feeling that comes with reading about falling in love. There are also complications that occur as life happens, however it is almost downright amazing the connection that quickly happens between everyone. This is an author that creates a story and characters that you can fully relate to. I highly recommend reading this book. This story does include adult situations including some steamy romantic scenes. It would be for those 18 years of age or older.

FTC DISCLAIMER: I RECEIVED AN E-ARC THROUGH A FACEBOOK GROUP. I VOLUNTARILY OFFER MY HONEST REVIEW OF THE BOOK, THOUGH IT IS NOT EXPECTED OF ME! RECEIPT OF THIS BOOK IN THIS MANNER DOES NOT AFFECT MY OPINION OF THE BOOK OR THE CONTENT OF MY REVIEW!

I had nothing to go on when I received this book, and I wasn't even sure what it was about! Thankfully, it was a romance novel, but while it was somewhat entertaining, it did have a fair share of problems.

It followed 3 women and 3 men, all new adults (as in just graduated from college types) as they spent a week in a resort/tropical getaway before starting new jobs, with a focus on Blake and Serena. We don't learn much about these characters' pasts, or about their likes and dislikes. The focus of the story is basically a LOT of alcohol consumption and sex, as each couple finds something they weren't expecting: a relationship.

While the book had a more erotic nature, it all felt very superficial. The lack of depth into the characters made the book somewhat mundane. The 19th chapter felt more like a summary rather than actual prose or plot, and in fact most of the book felt like it was telling the reader what was happening and not showing it to us.

All things considered, I don't think I'd read this author again.

Oasis by DL Gallie – 4 stars

Oasis by DL Gallie was a very quick, enjoyable read for me. It tells the story of three girlfriends who go on vacation “spring break style. They are going to relax after graduating college, before beginning their careers. Dancing, Drinks and NO BOYS!!! Right from the get go, you know this is going to be a fun story because “Their no boys rule was proving difficult…for all… and they hadn’t even taken off yet”. Hahahaha This book started on a great note of humor and that theme carried throughout the whole story. Three Girls meet Three Guys and the fun ensues.

Like the characters in this book, the story had instant chemistry for me. The writing was easy and light and there were no hidden agendas along the way. Just a sweet and sexy story. How could it be anything but sexy when “Mr. Sex-on-a-stick was staring intently at her and he was smiling.”

I enjoyed the way DL Gallie kept the story true to its intent. I feel like she could run kick a$$ travel resorts around the world. All the people would be flocking to her resorts because the one she wrote seemed perfect.

This was an easy beach read and it can be read in a couple of hours. I would absolutely recommend this story to a friend and not hide the fact that I read the sex scenes.

Oasis, by DL Gallie, is a romantic comedy novella. A set of friends going away for a girls' weekend following college graduation. This trip was to be nothing but fun, but no men... well, that rule may not last long once they meet a set of guys that leave them wanting much more.

Oasis was a downright hilarious read and each of the characters in this short story had unique and quite hilarious personalities. I read this novella straight through, start to finish, enjoying the fun and outright funny banter between the friends and their oasis love interests.

If you are looking for a quick & fun weekend night read, or even one weekday evening, then this will be right up your alley. The big question, can what is found in Oasis survive outside Oasis? Three women with a friendship to be envied against three men with a similar enviable friendship – how could anyone resist that?

These girls sound like me and my girls when we used to get together and drink! they are silly, sassy and funny as hell! The heat level in this book is set on straight fire and will have you squirming in your seat(so it is best not to sneak and read this while at work ;) ) I was turning the pages to see what antics they would come up with next on their vacation journey. What a fantabulous getaway it was!

Oasis is written by DL Gallie. This is my first read by this Author. DL Gallie did a really good job on this book. The story is well written. The book is a fun romantic comedy. The story is a standalone, it is about three friends that go on vacation to celebrate. Serena, Heather and Michele had just graduated from college. The girls wanted to have a great time before their lives begin as adults. Heather, Serena and Michele decide to go to the new hot resort, Oasis for the week to enjoy themselves, with some dancing, drinking, relaxing, just a time of their lives. That is where they meet Blake, Robert and Tom. Just like the girls. Blake, Tom and Robert are also on vacation before they start their lives as adults after college. This will be a summer that Serena, Heather, Michele, Blake, Tom and Robert will never forget. This book is about six characters having fun, partying, and falling in love. The chemistry in this book is sweet and sexy. I enjoyed the bantering between the characters. Love humor. Can't resist a person with a great personality. I liked Serena, Blake, Heather, Robert, Michele and Tom. They were great characters. This is a really good story. I enjoyed this book. I recommend reading it. Thank you, DL Gallie. Great work on this book. 4 Stars

A hot summer sizzler. Ideal pool read…Oasis is the first book I have read by DL Gallie but it won’t be the last! It was a perfect summer read. A hot romance with a fab holiday location.
The story follows three friends Heather, Michele and Serena on their last fling after university before they settle down into adult job. They embark on a luxurious foreign holiday to the paradise resort of Oasis vowing “no boys allowed”. Their vow barely lasts the airport queue as they literally bump into 3 sexy guys who are looking for a change from their usual quiet boys only holidays. As the temperatures rise, the inhibitions fall & the fun begins. What they don’t anticipate are the feelings each couple develops in the short time they are together. Will they enjoy a holiday romance or have they found something more long-term? Surely what happens in Oasis, stays in Oasis?... Or does it?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and whipped through it in a matter of hours. A perfect book for sitting in the sun sipping cocktails (or juice). The love stories were uncomplicated and the love scenes hot and steamy. Everyone can probably identify with at least one character and will have fond memories of group nights out in the karaoke bar, the bottomless cocktails and the wild shot-fuelled nights. A refreshing take on the romance novel, girls letting loose after studying hard for their future careers, I think this will appeal to a large group of readers. New graduates, older graduates who wish they were young (like me!) and anyone who likes a good upbeat romance.

Oasis is by DL Gallie and the first book I have read by her. This was a hot and sweet short story which has three couples, though Serena and Blake and the main characters. The guys were young and seems to still have the frat boy feel to them at least at the beginning, especially Robert but he managed to surprise me a time or two in the book. There were several laughs and I plan on checking out more of her books.

Serena is heading to Oasis with her two best friends Heather and Michelle with nothing planned by sunning, drinking and relaxing. They are not there to hook up or find boyfriends just to have a great girls trip before they are thrown into adulting.

Blake is also heading to Oasis with his two best friends Tom and Robert. They normally go camping for their guys trip but ended up doing something different and have no idea what they are in for and it all starts at the airport before the trip really starts.

This book was a great, chill-out, summer-fun read. It is an enjoyable story with some fun characters. Oasis will bring back fond memories to anyone who has been on a girl’s/guy’s summer holiday for some sun, sea, and romantic fun!
The story begins with a group of three girls, Serena, Michele, and Heather, making a pact to have a ‘no boys’ holiday. That idea, slightly predictably, lasts about 5 minutes. As soon as they get on the plane and clap eyes on the hot guys sitting across from them all bets are off. Naturally the three guys, Blake, Tom, and Robert, felt exactly the same way and so they all get to know each other over the week.
There is some light-hearted comedy and some deep romantic moments. Despite the general rom-com attitude the book presents, there are some dramatic moments which leave you shocked when something terrible happens on a friendly night out and some that will leave sad when one of the girls has an important decision to make which could make or break her holiday romance. However, it is all brought together at the end with a lovely final scene which rounded everything up well.
Even though there are some tense moments, Oasis is a predictable romance novel. However, it is a great read for sitting in the summer sun and reminiscing about holidays past!

Oasis by DL Gallie
Four Stars

Oasis by DL Gallie is the first book I have read by this author. The descriptions of the characters, witty dialogue, and interactions really made this book pop. This novella had me hooked from the first page. This sexy hot Rom Com was was a fast read with a really interesting cast of characters.

Three friends, Serena, Heather, and Michele, are on their way to the Oasis for a girls week after graduating from college and before they start real life. They plan this girls week with fun in the sun, but no men. Before they have even left on the airplane to go to the resort, they notice three hot guys, Blake, Robert and Tom. Maybe they will break their no Guys rule because they are on vacation, right?

The Oasis is full of sun, drinks, nightlife and hot guys. As the two groups get to know one another, things heat up. Will what happens at the Oasis stay at the Oasis… or will their relationships follow them home?

This is a fun summer read. I really enjoyed Ms. Andrews writing style and look forward to reading more by this author.

Oasis is a steamy novella by D.L. Gallie. It is my first encounter with this writer and I would not mind reading more of her works. This novella was a good introduction into her work! It is a standalone contemporary romance novella with the headline of “What happens in Oasis, stays in Oasis!” Sounds familiar, right?
Oasis is the story of Serena and Blake and their friends Heather, Michele, Robert and Tom. What do you think will happen when a group of single hot girls meet a group of single hot guys in a place known for pleasure? Everything that you just imagined and more!
It is a great summer read with great characters, instant chemistry, catchy humour and steamy moments! The question that we ask ourselves throughout the story is- will it be a fling for a week or can something more grow out of it? Grab a glass a wine, spend a night in Oasis where everything is possible and find out for yourself!

This book by DL Gallie is a fun, sexy departure from the Liquor Cabinet series. Both types of books are equally enjoyable, but it is nice to see an author spread their wings and try out a different genre. This book is full of sexy banter and situations. The premise is that three friends, who are about embark on adult life, are headed to a beach resort to kick back and have a man-free vacation. That vow lasts almost through check-in at the airport when they meet three hotties in line. The three men are taking a beach vacation, instead of their usual camping trip, when they meet the girls. While all of the members pair up, this story is mostly Serena and Blake's.
The story moves along and as the vacation progresses attractions turn to feelings, but who will act on what feelings and will any of the couples remain together? Does what happen at Oasis stay at Oasis or will there be a future for any of the couples? This is the perfect summer read. Grab a drink and hit the cabana.

Oasis by DL Gallie
Stars: 4

Serena, Michele, and Heather are taking a girls’ getaway before starting their lives after their college graduation. They are excited to drink, partying, and having fun in the sun. However, they have one rule for the week, which is no guys allowed. However, the girls meet Blake, Tom, and Robert and sparks fly. The girls end up losing their no guy rule rather quickly to go for a vacation fling. However, the three couples are not prepared for the deep feelings that develop between them.

This is a nice, steamy, but short story that focuses mostly on Serena and Blake. I thoroughly enjoyed this story. There were moments of humor, which I loved. I do wish to have more information on not only Serena and Blake, but the other couples as well. I felt that the story was a little rushed, but that is understandable since it is a novella.

I am giving Oasis a four star rating. D. L. Gallie certainly knows how to get the blood pumping. Three times over.
She writes a funny, hot, sexy, sexy, sexy book about six people, three couples and one week of fun and sex in the single hottest resort in the world, Oasis. Oasis is a terrific short read about fun in the sun, in the ocean, between the sheets . . .
D. L. Gallie writes her characters with surprising fullness and depth considering the length of the book. Not that I’m complaining about the length of the book. This is a fantastically great Afternoon at the beach, by the pool or even at home with six feet of snow piling up outside. Cute girls, hot guys, resort setting, what’s not to love? Kudos for D. L. Gallie and her short book Oasis!

This book is not what I would normally read. I felt that the story, especially the ending, was very predictable. I did not care for the language (the "F" bomb in almost every paragraph). It also has some explicit sex that could have been omitted also (along with with "F" bomb).

This was a shorter novel and I read it quickly because I passed over the parts that were objectionable to me. The basic story had potential to be cute and funny. This was not my type of story. This was given to me as a "blind date with an author" and I felt obligated to finish it.

If you are not put off by explicit sex and profanity, you might enjoy this book.

Oasis is a fun, sexy romance getaway story. It tells the story of three girls celebrating the end of one era and the beginning of another, and of three sinfully sexy men looking to enjoy a weeks break.
With temperatures high and drinks flowing, what starts out as innocent flirting, quickly turns into something much steamier.
This seriously sexy story is the first I have read by this author, but won't be the last. DL Gallie has a fantastic style of writing, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
If you're looking for a hot rom-com you can sink your teeth into, look no further.

Oasis by DL Gallie

5 Stars

Three best friends Serena, Michele, and Heather just finished 3 years of college and before settling into their new adult responsibilities decide to splurge and take a girls only vacation at the Oasis, the hottest new resort just off the mainland. Seven days of dancing, drinking, and tanning and they have made a pact...no boys!

Blake, Tom, and Robert met in their freshman year at college and have been doing an annual trip every year since, and have stuck to this tradition even after entering the workforce after college.

The no boys pact is on shaky ground for the girls before their plane even gets off the ground when they notice and are noticed by the three sexy guys. It doesn't take long for the pact to get thrown out the window.

Although the story is about all 6 of these characters the book focuses in on one of the couples and how their “what happens in Oasis, stays in Oasis” relationship grows through this 7 days together. All of them have instant connections and pair off to have the most fun 7 days possible. Will this just be a weeklong fling for each of these couples, or will the feelings developing between them in a short time follow them back into their real lives?

I loved this book!!! It was a fun quick read, full of storyline, and excellent character development. The story moved quickly and it was packed full of every emotion. This was my first book by this author and I loved her style, I will definitely be looking up all of her other offerings and keeping an eye on her future works. Would love to revisit these characters again, I hope somewhere in the future we get to read more about them. Loved it and highly recommend!!
