Will they risk their friendship for a night of unbridled passion?

A broken heart …
Widow Jenna Cassidy-Pearce has had her one love of a lifetime. Now she’s fine being single and focusing on her new floristry business, raising her daughter and spending time with her friends. On top of all that she’s also organizing a very secret wedding for her sister, the wedding-shy wedding planner. Jenna’s life is a whirlwind of busy-but-in-control, and that’s just how she likes it – it keeps the loneliness and the longing at bay. So when old friend Nick Welsh comes back into her life she's not prepared for the onslaught of emotions and unwelcome lust she feels for him.

A damaged soldier …
After surviving bombs and bombshells that damaged his life and destroyed all trust, ex army officer Nick Welsh has returned to London for a quiet life. He definitely does not want to get embroiled in Jenna's chaotic one, but there's something about the spirited redhead with the sparkling blue eyes and complete inability to sit still that makes him keep seeking her out, and there’s a whole lot of chemistry he just can't deny.
The healing power of love
Is he ready to trust again? And can he teach Jenna that everyone deserves another chance at love?

I was given a copy of this to review.

I enjoyed this book. it was a nice sweet romance. Something that I needed after some of the other books I've read recently. It was funny at times too. Which was nice. I'm glad that both of them were finally able to get over their issues. They deserved to be happy and with each other. I see that there is another book in the series I will have to check it out. Hopefully it is good as this one.

I enjoyed this one. The craziness of Jenna's life and family was one of my favorite things. I also enjoyed the humor. Jenna and Nick are looking for a fresh start. They both have inner scars that impact their lives. Neither of them are looking for a relationship, but the draw is too hard to ignore. Jenna's little girl is too precious. Jenna must have felt like luck wasn't on her side, but she may just be wrong. Cant hey both trust what they're feeling or will they be too gun shy?

4+ Stars!

I enjoyed this second-chance-at-love-after-heartbreak romance. Both Nick and Jenna have suffered momentous heartbreak and deem themselves too broken or unworthy for love again. Jenna wants to focus on her new business and daughter, while Nick feels Jenna deserves more than what he can give. At the same time, they both never want to be vulnerable to the same kind of heartbreak they've already experienced.

Something About You was funny and romantic. While both Nick and Jenna had sad backstories, they never felt too heavy. They were both wonderful characters and well-written. I loved the humorous antics and they never felt over the top. This was the perfect light read and intro to the Louisa George's books. I will definitely read more from the author. Friends, pen pals, years and hundreds of emails. They kept in touch, kept a part if each other’s lives. The survived their tragedies and heart breaks together.

She has Evie and her flower shop. He has his new job as a cop.

These two are a push and pull, but the foundation is rock solid, built on friendship.

I enjoyed this story, man I felt the stress, love, tears, pain and everything in between with this one. Planning a secret wedding, catching a robber, helping a kid on the streets, falling for a friend and wobbly bits this story has it all.

This pair brings out the best in them. I don’t like Jenna’s hardness about her figure or her bad relationship with food- but I understand it, been there too, it really is about loving yourself.

I laughed at her awkwardness about sex supplies- I would have been a more delicate shop employee if she’d come to my store.

I am so happy that Chloe and Vaughn loved their day. Accepted the secret wedding and married each other.

Now for Bridget- too ironic and awesome. Maybe Chloe will have to apologize and call him step dad. Hope there’s an update there.

I also hope to know about the Cassidy babies- will there be more? Seeing them all have kids for their first time and Jenna’s second would be beautiful.

I also liked knowing more about the “book” group. Cannot wait to read Faiths story with gin pub owner Blake and more.

To think if Jason hadn’t jilted Chloe and introduced her to Vaughn none of these pairings would have happened, sure nick and Jenna knew each other, but it was Chloe-being in love that had her interference in it all.

This was closer to a 3.5 star book for me but I just can’t give it 4. The storyline was good and I liked the characters. The book just didn’t keep me engaged enough to really want to read it, and it took me three times longer than a book this size usually takes me just because I kept putting it down. The writing was rather stilted and didn’t flow smoothly.

I found a lot of information was given later than I needed it, out of order. For instance, early on we are told they were just “vague acquaintances” who were in band together in high school, yet she helped him move; who does that for a vague acquaintance? And she was set up on a date with him by her sister, but these things both happened before the book even started. I would have loved to read about those events. Then we learn they’ve been writing emails to each other for years, but we aren’t told until later why or how they even began to do that when they didn’t really even know each other. This email relationship becomes a very important part of their history, but most of the topics in their emails are just glossed over. It would have helped a lot to read some of what they wrote or learned more about their exchanges in detail. Having these things included would have added a great deal to the history and story and fleshed out a rather thin book.

Overall, I liked the storyline and enjoyed the characters, but it just didn’t keep me interested and I felt the story wasn’t told as well as it could have been.

I was charmed by Jenna and Evie when I first met them in the previous book. We didn’t get much of a chance to meet Nick then, but I new he was going to be something special just by the way he held Jenna’s attention. I’m not quite sure if I loved or hated that we get to live in her head and see through her eyes, which made it so easy to connect with and feel all her insecurities and fears as our own. Lately, I’ve been lucky to read several authors who recognize the cruel, critical things we women say about and to ourselves, who then write heroes capable of slaying those dragons. And Nick, for all his fears he’s harboring that keep him from fully embracing his life and what he could have with Jenna and Evie, is one if those dragon-slaying heroes. I adore how he handles Jenna’s self-deprecating comments, how he gently bolsters her sense of self-worth, and how he worships her exactly the way she is. As with her sister and Vaughn, I loved watching them navigate their way through all the past baggage to find their new forever.

This sweet romance almost lost me at one point, I’ll admit. The pace just seemed a bit slower than what I usually prefer. But I’m so glad I decided to stick it out. The cast of characters are, after all, richly developed and delightful in their own right. Jenna is a woman whose inner monologue so closely follows my own that I was at the same time humiliated, frightened, and intrigued. Nick is a wonderful man with much to offer, but we only know that because we can get into his head at times, too. He’s unfortunately dreadful at articulating his thoughts, but he’s working on it.

The story has a wonderful wit to it that acts as a brilliant counter-point to some tough issues the main characters are facing. In all, it’s a charming balance with romance abounding.

I'm not sure about this one. The writing itself wasn't horrible, but it was hard for me to get into. The story takes place in London which I didn't realize when I got the book. The language is similar, but there are a lot of words that I didn't know that took me out of the story. I had to reread a sentence at least every couple of paragraphs, and it got a little tiresome. I wasn't really a fan of Jenna and Nick as a couple, they just didn't seem to fit well. I know that Jenna had been through a loss, but it got old that all her thoughts were that something terrible was going to happen. This was a first for me from this author, but I would probably give her another chance.

Received this book for free for my honest review.

Pass on this book. It drags and drags and drags. The whole story revolves around Jenna and Nick. It seems that they knew each other in High School and she got married and had a kid, her husband dies 3 years ago. Nick is in the armed forces and sees a lot that he wishes he didn't see. Nick and Jenna talk through email and lay everything out there. Nick moves back to this town and he is happy to have a friend in Jenna. During their time together they fall in love and Nick decides for both of them that they shouldn't be close. Redemption for both at the end.

Jenna is busy planning a surprise wedding for her sister, opening her new flower shop, taking care of her daughter and doing her best to ignore her attraction to Nick.

What I enjoyed:
* Jenna's life is a bit crazy, but she just rolls with it. She is also finally getting over her husband's death and moving forward with her life.
* Good to see Chloe and Vaughn again
* The side story with Tyler, although I would have liked more of it

What could have been better:
* It didn't seem like Jenna and Nick had enough time together

This was an amusing tale, with some genuine laugh out loud moments, and quirky characters.

The main protagonists, Jenna and Nick, were wary of love, and relationships, with good reason. Fate, however, kept throwing them together, usually when Jenna was not looking her best!

They were both well drawn characters, with solid backstories. But....they were slightly OTT in their determination to not get involved. Whilst this was understandable, it became annoying as the story developed. Hence 4* and not 5*.

I had such high hopes for this book...The blurb alluded to a storyline that would be about second chances and finding love after loss. What I got was a lot of rhetoric and a plot that just went on and on with little or no real action. To be brutally honest, this one gave me a headache. Definitely a disappointment for me. This is the first book I've read by this author and I thought it was good. I have not read book one and would suggest it be read first. There were just a few parts I think I would have understood a little better by doing so. There were times I thought Jenna and Nick's story moved a little slow, but overall I did enjoy it.

I found this book very hard to get into, and the story dragged. I kept reading to see how the surprise wedding turned out, rather than the romance. There was a few funny moments in the story, but it wasn't enough to nullify the repetitiveness of the H&h inner worries and issues. Overall, this book was ok. * I received an ARC of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.

A superb story that hooked me from the very first page. I bought it the moment I finished the first story in the series (although the books can stand alone). Beautiful writing, terrific story, great characters. One of my favourite series this year.
