Matthew J. Wicks grew up in a small town in Oregon. He currently lives in another small town in Oregon with his wife and kids. When Matthew is not writing or reading he enjoys playing disc golf and watching hockey.

This story is an adaption of the "The Three Billy Goats Gruff", a folktale that SCARED me to death when I was a child. NOT joking. I still remember its ugly illustrations!
Reading "The Three Box Turtles Tuff" drew a smile on my face. The change made on the characters made the story sound more.. "friendly"?
I imagine the students were extremely proud to see their own illustrations getting published.

A twist on the classic Three Billy Goats Gruff. This Norwegian folktale has been adapted to be a positive model of how to solve problems. A delightful read for anyone who loves the classic folktales.
