For the most part, I enjoyed this book. I don’t mind a good ‘Daddy’s little girl’ story, especially in small doses, and this one came at a good time. However, I’m not a huge fan of the degradation, disrespect and overall wrongness of what leaked from these pages. I repeat… I enjoyed this book… but… I had some issues and this review is more of a rant than anything else.
HUGE SPOILERS AHEAD
Hold up… I’m getting ahead of myself…
So the story is about Carter and Evangeline. Carter’s father started a tradition of owning or using “pets” and passed that world class knowledge onto his son. Go Team!! Evangeline’s whole life fell apart when she was a kid and she blames it all on Carter. She puts herself in his path so that he’d choose her to be his new pet and her plans for vengeance could be enacted.

Okay because that sounds all fine and dandy. It’s what was in-between all of this that messed me up.
"I’d really fucking done it. Broken my little toy. Her messy fucking parts were all over the room."
I think that’s one of the nicest things Carter ever said about his precious ‘Angel’. I’m serious. Despite the fact that he was increasingly attracted to her, was growing genuine feelings for her, he treated her horribly. Here’s where she slept (or at least what my mind depicted):
There were pillows and ish in there but… Nothing you can do to really jazz up the place and make it look like anything other than a cage.
My thoughts exactly.
So whatever… Carter’s a jerk… a hot jerk but a jerk just the same… and I liked him in spite of it. Go figure. I think it’s because Evangeline kinda set herself up for it. She played right into it like the brainwashed, warped, messed up ‘toy’ that she was supposed to be acting like , but she seemed to take her role too seriously. I get method acting, but ish was a bit too real for me. When is it ever okay to be talked to and treated this way? And this chick happened to LOVE her cage!!
Now I, like many people, have a keen (sneaky) interest in all things BDSM. Not for my personal life. I’m the furthest thing from being submissive or a masochist or a sadist it’s not even funny. I guess that leaves dominant, but then I’d have no clue what to do with my sub, so no. But in my books I don’t have a problem with kinky fckery. However, can this story really be classified as part of the BDSM genre?
And if it is, is it leaning toward the hardcore spectrum? I had to chalk this up as Carter being an insanely disrespectful sadist while Evangeline was a pansy-assed, misguided little masochist. If you can handle all of that, then you should have absolutely no problem being entertained by the filthy, sexy and slightly crazy story Isabella Starling has cooked up in Vengeance .

3* playing with fire STARS!
Isabella Starling brought us a new series that I couldn't resist. Yup, it's seven sins theme. Also the cover is totally drool worthy. I've read some of her works even there's a hit and miss for me. Still enjoyable, though. Yet, this one is a bit disturbing for me... NOT in sexy way.
Carter Knight couldn't let his eyes off from his newest purchase. He called her Angel. So pure and innocent. But Angel or Evangeline Lovell has her own hidden agenda. She thought Carter is just a ruthless man but he fulfill her sexual needs in wicked ways.
As the main characters, Evangeline and Carter are difficult to understand. There's not much info about both of them, not until half of the story. Carter is using Evangeline for sex. But surprisingly, Evangeline (previously a virgin) really enjoy to be his plaything. Carter could be a gentle lover and seems concerned about her well being. Then, Evangeline conflicted about the man who owned her.
The first chapter really shocked me. It happened unexpectedly . Then, Evangeline's past revealed and it seems to be connected with Carter. As the anti-hero in the story, Carter redeemed himself when Evangeline came into his life. He owns the Empire Sin inherited from his awful father. A gentleman club that could buy (consent only) girls.
The story was nicely written than the previous books. I'm really intrigued with the revenge plot. But unfortunately, I couldn't connect with the main characters. They only have sexual chemistry (that could explode my e-reader) until the end. There's another BUT... I also a bit weird out by the sudden 'Daddy' kink. Overall, I really enjoyed the story but the characters and sex didn't hold my interest. That's why it is hard to write this review.

Carter is a dark and twisty man. He buys Evangeline for 5 million dollars. This book reminds me of Gianna darlings Enthralled duet. Sins of the Fathers passed down to the sons. Essentially human trafficking. Carter has gone through a lot of toys. Little does he know that Evangeline placed herself to be sold to him so she could exact vengeance on him for causing her Dad to commit suicide and ruin her family. There’s dark smutty D/s scenes. He put her in a cage but she likes it—- I’d call this a mocha latte on the darkness scale.

I received this book an exchange for an honest review.
This was a very good dark twisted book. Evangeline (Angel) Lovell has revenge on her mind or vengeances as she calls it. Evangeline is sold to Carter Knight by her step father to the man that caused her father's suicide. Carter is young rich and dominate and he is determined to break her. Evangeline is set to do whatever she has to do in order to see vengeance against Carter. The sex scenes in this book were hot and Carter made her do some filthy nasty things to her including taking her virginity in front of her step father who asked to watch. This book had a lot of twist in it things are not always what they seem and they both found that out in the end. As time goes on she hates the things that he make her do but her body begins to crave it. Carter is also effected by her he wanted a new toy but one look at her picture and he knows that she is different. When she begins to have feelings for him she begins to question everything in her life. What she didn't realize was that she didn't have all the facts about Carter. I liked that the author made me feel Angel's emotions all the hurt anger and confusion that she was going through. His father was a real piece of work I also like Caroline and felt bad for her. This was a really good book. I have read this author before and this was the first book in a new series too me and I can't wait to read the next book in this series. This was a good daddy read. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling.

HOLY HELL!!!!!!!!
Carter Knight loves being in control. Everywhere. He is notorious for his conquests and is known to be a wicked ruthless man. He has never been weak for anything, certainly not a woman. Then Evangeline comes strutting in with her sinful body and pure eyes and he can't help but thoroughly ruin her.
Evangeline has only one purpose; to bring down wrath upon the man who ruined her family. When the same man makes her his new toy, Evangeline gets tangled in a wen of lies, lust and wrath. She can't sort her feelings from her plans and now her life lies in the hands of Master Carter.
God this was so intense I was sweating through 90% of this story. I cannot believe Isabella went there. *raunchy wink* I am still recovering from the events of this book because holy hotness the story was unreal.
Carter is a difficult man to please. I mean I wanted to punch him a little but goodness that devil could be sweeter than sugar and still be the gravest sinner. He is not an easy man to like but I love anti-heroes and basically live for them so obviously I was down for whatever shit Carter pulled. #bless
The sex were pretty intense, dark and deliciously twisted. This story is not for the faint hearted. Believe me a lot of this will make you squirm and not always in the best way. So if you want to be challenged and shocked and turned on at the same time, definitely go for this book. I LOVED IT!!! ~Sonal

So, by a definition, this is a dark read with a kinky side of a sexual depravity...but it s also a very clichéd one too...
A young girl is sold to a ruthless, cruel billionare and he turns her into his next project, his pet...
But of course, she gets under his skin, cause there's something about her that's different...*raises her eyebrow*
Yes, she's different. She seeks revenge. And her plan is to get him to love her, to snoop around for information that would incriminate him, so she could ruin him...just like he ruined her family...
And well, you know what happens next, right?! Yeah...you do *wink*
Implement a few more twists, in the form of her obsessively perverted step-dad who runs a gentlemen's club Empire Sin who really wants her for himself...gah
And another rich figure (main character's father) who played with another pet/bought pretty girl, ruined her, all in the name of love...but he was also the one truly responsible for the destruction of another man's life, that is now the subject of our heroine's seek of vengeance.
What can I say, it sounds more complicated than it actually is...lol
What I liked the most is the dark factor, the atmosphere and the dubious acts of depravity,
the thing that annoyed the fuck out of me, was the constant 'daddy' reference...😫 during the sexual acts as a kink and outside that scene, so it was a little bit over the top and I fuckin stopped turning the wheels in my head while figuring out whom she's calling 'daddy' at what point and why...and in what context...
Yeah, well...not my cuppa anyway...
But, without the 'daddy' spewing, all in all, it could have been a pretty good read if the ending didn't go into a mushy sentiment that was way too far from being dark...duh?!

4 unexpected stars
Anyone and everyone who knows me or at the very least who follows my reviews, know I'm a fan of Isabella Starling's; knows how much i devour her books. Every time she announces an upcoming release, i get almost, if not more, as giddy as i do about Christmas and i love that holiday! I think there are only two books that i haven't had a chance to read from this author and that's only because i got them after discovering her. That being said, Vengeance left me a little... bereft in a way.

This was a completely different type of book from her previous releases - not as dark as i would have thought, not as suspenseful or shocking as some of her previous books and for once, a female lead that frustrated me too many times i found Evangeline crying and screaming when i knew she was stronger and smarter than how she let on sometimes. Carter, for his part, still felt vulnerable even with his dominant ways. Knowing that this is the first in a new series for Isabella Starling, i'm still looking forward to the other books to find out the fat of Empire Sin after the events in Vengeance. While this book from this author may not be my top one, Isabella Starling is still one of my favorite authors!

The beginning of this book was really a bit disturbing but once you got past the first couple chapters of the book, things start to look a bit different and the anti-hero really overall a darkish hero. I will say this isn’t a story for everyone but keep an open mind.
This is the story of Angel who just wants revenge for something that was done to her family. Carter wants Angel no matter what and he will get her, make no mistake. This story is dark, edgy, angst-ridden, passionate, erotic, and definitely twisted. It has so many twists, turns, heart stopping moments that you are on the edge of your seat majority of the time. It is really an emotional mine field of a story as well. Carter and Evangeline aka Angel both seem to have their own agenda when this all starts yet their feelings for one another get in the way. Evangeline has spent many years thinking of ways to take Carter Knight down for what he did to her and her family. Yet the more time she spends with Carter, she seems to find herself backing away from her whole vengeance idea on him. Learning the back story to Carter and Evangeline really gutted me! I definitely didn't see what happened next. There is so much I want to say about this book but I don’t want to give anything away (Spoilers). All I can and will say is this is a phenomenal read and you don’t want to miss out on this story!! I cant wait for the next book in this series which is Malice.

I don't know this author for that long but after only one book and I was a goner. The way she puts her heart and soul in each book is so special that you will feel like you're wrapped up with the most silkiest and warmest blanket in the world...
If you had the chance to read her books you can agree with me, if not I advise you to start today.
Isabella has a sweet, simple, intense and hot as hell writing that will leave you breathless with just one chapter...
Vengeance is her latest release and tells the stories of Carter and Evangeline.
Carter is a business man with a very special desire. He's used to have what he wants, when he wants without objections or obstacles. Like in life, he rules his company ruthless and serious.
He's used to have any woman worshiping at his feet but when the beautiful and innocent Evangeline crosses his path he only has one goal. To own her body, mind and soul.
Evangeline is a sweet girl that had lost her parents to soon. That made her the way she is today. She has only one goal... To make Carter pay for the hurt that she and her family went through. And what better way to do that then to become his toy...

I don't know the proper word that can describe the way I was while reading this book.
I was anxious, angry, sad, happy, hot as hell, afraid... You name it. In one chapter I was feeling ok and the next one I was a nerve rack. The way the story starts left me scared due to the intensity of it.
The interaction between the characters is not only intense but also complex.
The plot is intense and super dark with some twists and turns along the way.
I need to warn you that this book is super dark, with some more intense scenes as well has hot stuff all the way. You may not like the taboo theme but give it a shot and make your mind after that.
Isabella what are you doing to me? I'm only one step away from committing one of the seven sins... Gluttony, because I want more and more books from you...
If this book is like this I can't even imagine what the other 6 will be... Just Dayum.

What a great story.
Evangeline was innocent in every way. She had never been with a man, not even kissed. As I was reading about the character Evangeline Loveless I could not help but wonder how it was like for her. Here she was a woman stuck in a girl’s body. Oh, don’t get me wrong. You can tell right off the bat when reading the story that she is smart but due to tragedy in her life it left her mentally scared. She had everything ripped away from. She no longer has her mother and father. The only thing she has now in her life is her step-father. It is the only family she has.
I looked at all the hurt, bitterness, and anger that Evangeline held on to. This need for revenge would her he down fall and her saving grace. I can not imagine living with that burden of hating the one man that caused her so much pain.
I had to wonder what Evangeline’s stepfather was thinking. Here is the girl he raised asking to be sold as a sex slave. This had to be hard for him but more harder then we think.
Carter Knight I found sex and cocky. Here he was wanting to break Evangeline in a million pieces just to put her back together again. He wanted to break her over and over. The only thing is Evangeline was already broken. As I read about Carter trying to figure out Evangeline’s pain you had to wonder how he was going to act when he finally realized he was the root of all that pain.
As reading the story you will see how Carter is slowing healing Evangeline. Carter needs healing as well. He might of been rich with two parents but he lack knowing a loving home. I found that sad. So to have someone that he started falling in love with was what he needed in his life.

I don't know this author for that long but after only one book and I was a goner. The way she puts her heart and soul in each book is so special that you will feel like you're wrapped up with the most silkiest and warmest blanket in the world...

Even though, I guessed some of them, I still wanted to continue reading. There were some of continuity mistakes and it lacked a bit of details. I would have liked if there was more of a struggle with Evangeline's desire for revenge and her feelings toward Carter. Overall, it was good read about revenge and obsession.

Vengeance by Isabella Starling is the first in the series Empire Sin. We met the MC's Carter Knight and Evangeline "Angel" Lovell. Evangeline is an 18 years old virgin and being sold to the ruthless and dominant billionaire Carter by his step-father Barron Savage. Carter instantly mesmerized by the brunette beauty one of the reason why he bought her in a million rate. Unbeknownst to Carter, Evangeline has a plan to get avenge of her past that includes of making Carter Knight fall in love with her so that she can execute her betrayal that shall lead for Carter being in Jail. Isabella Starling does a good job creating emotion and pulling as into what the character's feeling in this book especially Evangeline's character, her haunted nightmares and Carter putting her back into places.
Carter is the perfect combination of ruthlessness and darkness. I truly like how his personality modify, how he's feelings for his "little toy" alter in the long run. And for Evangeline i also like her despite of being broken she still let herself to love and heal even though most of her scenes is all about crying and whining lol! But as a reader i notice a bit of dullness in some parts of the book that resulting obviously for my rating nevertheless i am contented by the outcome and i come to care the characters even for Carolina and Starling spins an entertaining roller coaster ride that you will be hard pressed to put down.

This book was everything I've come to love and expect in one of Isabella's books. It sucks you in from the first chapter and leaves you helpless to do anything else accept finish it in one sitting!! This is the first book in her new Empire Sin series (based off of the 7 deadly sins), and if the series is anything like this book, it's gonna be a scorcher!
The main characters in this book are well written and complex, both bearing previous torment from their past which fuels the wrath that they both feel. Carter loves his money and loves his toys. He believes that Evangeline, his newest purchase, is just another toy to use and get rid of once he's bored. What he doesn't know is that Evangeline has an agenda of her own, fueled by the wrath of her past and her need for Vengeance. It doesn't take long for Carter to realize that Evangeline is no ordinary toy. All I can say is he better keep his eyes on this one!

I didn't like this much..Yes I wanted Carter & Evangeline to woundup together but again I wasn't satisfied. The way he treated her didn't go well with me..Also, the way she keeps calling him Daddy is just yuck..Master is better, but daddy is eeww!! Gosh! She & her baby both are going to call him daddy..Ewww! Gross! Initially when he treated her like that & them redeem him, all this Daddy shit would end & she would start calling him by his name & him would start calling her by name but....Also, I didn't like his nickname for her: Pretty little toy. Eww!! They are supposed to be in love & also husband, wife then why is she a little toy..Anyway, dark romances are also enjoyable & some are favourites but this didn't do for me

Really an amazing story. My heart broke for Evangeline and what happened to her family. All she wanted was revenge on Carter but spending time being his Toy she started feeling something more. Evangeline & Carter both needed each other more then they ever knew and learning secrets from the past brought them together. Great story that will have you reading non stop. Can't wait to read Malice when it's released.

She has had her life ripped apart and is groomed to be the perfect pet. She is out for revenge and is willing to do what she needs to do. Her past is tragic and is shrouded in mystery. Can she take down the monster or will she submit to him? The plot is shrouded in mystery, with plenty of drama. The story was good and will definitely hold your attention. The endearment terms that they used fell flat for me and took away from the story. Carter character was extreme alpha where is sexual needs were concerned. Evangeline came across as part child and part women. I did not feel the chemistry between the characters. However the dark and depravedness held my attention. Overall I liked the plot. Right from the beginning, from the blurb, I knew I wasn’t in for a beautiful love story where true love is born at first sight and our characters shower each other with love and affection before riding off into the sunset. No. This was going to be a troubled journey on the dark side. The blurb had me intrigued. Excitement bubbled as I wondered what kind of sick man would take a girl’s virginity so heartlessly in front of her stepfather? What kind of man wants a “perfect little girl – on her knees, with ‘daddy’ on her lips”? How would I ever sympathize with a killer who ruined a child so badly that her whole life is spent planning her vengeance?
Isabella Starling managed to turn me from hating Carter Knight into loving him, or at least understanding him. He may be twisted and troubled but he is a human with flaws and Evangeline is the perfect woman for him. It is said that there is a soul mate for all of us out there somewhere, and Carter’s tastes and preferences are surely not for everyone, but Evangeline has a need for his special kind of protectiveness, his special kind of love, and it works for them.
I was immediately hooked. Chapter 1 had me so infuriated with Carter, at his heartlessness. He was obviously a man with little regard for other humans and had little respect for women. Author Isabella Starling gives us a brief glimpse at the possibility of Carter being redeemable, of having a soft spot in his heart when a pang of regret hits him for his actions, but that was short lived and I was back to questioning this disappointment of a man all over again. I was truly hoping against all hope that Carter would show some compassion, show some redeeming qualities but, that was not to happen.
Evangeline is a scared young woman with her target set on vengeance, at ruining Carter Knight. She is willing to give him everything she has to give, as long as he is ruined in the process. But something inside Evangeline stirs at Carter’s words, at his touch. Somehow, he lights a fire in her that is inextinguishable. Her body betrays Evangeline and she needs to work hard to keep her focus on that task at hand. How can she possibly fall in love with the man who ruined her family, her childhood, her life?
Carter Knight has issues – that is plain to see. He thrives on control and fear in his opponents, in his lovers. His family is dysfunctional but they are his and in his own way, he loves them and will do whatever needs to be done to protect them. The relationship between Carter and Evangeline is very twisted but it worked for them. This story kept me very interested, glued to the pages from start to finish. I felt deeply for Evangeline. She was so broken and hurt by the events of her past. She was literally a prisoner to them, traumatized in a way. I longed for a deep emotional connection between Carter and Evangeline and I loved seeing little glimpses, watching as Carter recognized his feelings for Evangeline were different than any before her.
This moment especially touched me …
Evangeline is a child in a woman’s body. She needs and craves the attention of a ‘daddy’ and Carter Knight knows just what she needs and how to give it to her. She is helpless against his actions and the more she fears him, the more she relies on him to protect her.
This was a dark read but that was not a surprise, I read the blurb and the description. It was such an amazing story that had me emotionally invested in these characters. Hoping for their survival through all the depravity of their lives. Isabella reveals all the secrets and mysteries of their pasts in the end and somehow, it all makes sense. The relationship between Carter and Evangeline is very twisted but it worked for them. This story kept me very interested, glued to the pages from start to finish. I felt deeply for Evangeline. She was so broken and hurt by the events of her past. She was literally a prisoner to them, traumatized in a way. I longed for a deep emotional connection between Carter and Evangeline and I loved seeing little glimpses, watching as Carter recognized his feelings for Evangeline were different than any before her.
This moment especially touched me …
I stroked her hair some more. She was so sweet I could almost taste her on my tongue. “Evangeline…” She looked up at me, those beautiful eyes of hers rimmed with so many black lashes. “Yes?” she asked. “Kiss me.” It was something between a request and an order, and she hesitated before lowering her lips to mine. She tasted like summer and innocence, and in that moment, I knew poor little Evangeline was doomed. Because I was never going to have my fill of her.
Evangeline is a child in a woman’s body. She needs and craves the attention of a ‘daddy’ and Carter Knight knows just what she needs and how to give it to her. She is helpless against his actions and the more she fears him, the more she relies on him to protect her.
This was a dark read but that was not a surprise, I read the blurb and the description. It was such an amazing story that had me emotionally invested in these characters. Hoping for their survival through all the depravity of their lives. Isabella reveals all the secrets and mysteries of their pasts in the end and somehow, it all makes sense. I managed to forgive and fall for Carter Knight. He is flawed, he has erred, but he does love Evangeline and gives her exactly what she needs. This was my first book by Isabella Starling. I really loved it and I will readily look for more from this author in the future.

This was my first read by Isabella Starling and I'm impressed!!!❤ Starts of with a bang literally*😍 A little taboo of course in the beginning but who doesn't love that?? there is so much depth to this story it all works out and you understand why it was. so fucked up from the get go..
Carter knight is a buisness man of the Empire of Sin( a private gentle mans club) which he will be heir to when his father passes away.. when he turned 18. he was gifted a smaller share of the company than his father. His dad is always fucking up something whether its hurting girls badly or stealing money from investors and Carter is always the one to have come behind him and clean it up..The Empire Of Sin is the most well kept secret of the richest most influential men in country who use its services to get just about anything they want.. For Carter, its buying slave girls that will worship at his feet.. That's how he came across Evangeline.. She was perfect. Innocent beautiful and a virgin.. He wanted to experience all of her firsts.. first kiss etc..
Evangeline is a product of a dysfunctional childhood.. Her father hangs himself when she was only about 4 years old and opens the door for Barron Savage to swoop in and meet her mother, who later on supposedly dies from an overdose from methamphetamines.. So she is told anyway.. This is a story with so many twists and turns it will keep you guessing and wanting more!!!! I won't give too much away..
The story begins with Evangeline being presented to Carter for the first time to meet her to see if she is what he is actually wanting to buy as a pet..( the seller is acually her step father)😝🙊 Long story short.. The chemistry between Carter is undeniable! Sparks from the beginning! This story is so much more than Cater just buying Evangeline as property. She opens up feelings that he has never experienced EVER. Isabella adds so much depth and layers to this story. completely capitivating😍
Evangeline is on a mission for Vengeance and gives consent to her step dad to be sold to Carter.. so its on her own free will but when she is bought she discovers more to what already gathered information she has about Carter and the real reason for her family being ripped apart..The real truth unfolds as she snoops through Carters office when he is away.. She is developing feelings for him.. but there are so many holes in the info she has..
People portray Carter as a malicious person and to an extent he can be.. Isabella goes in depth to talk about his childhood and his up bringing that shows you why he is the way he is... His heart is a lot bigger than people let on for it to be.

Are you afraid of the dark? You should be…. Vengeance by Isabella Starling is a very dark, twisted read that will test your tolerance….. At least it did for me. If you are the squeamish type, walk on by this one.
How do you like your kink? Well, if you like your kink straight up, dark, dirty and filled with over the top dominance then you’ve come to the right place. I thought I knew what I was getting into with Vengeance, but I literally did not expect what was delivered. When I was done, I needed a shot of whiskey and a rub down all at the same time.
Is this a book about vengeance? Yes… but it’s so much more than that. It’s about limits…. Limits you set for yourself and for others. How far would you go to destroy the one person you believe to be responsible for taking away the very thing that means everything to you?
Evangeline Lovell is a sweet submissive who is sold to Carter Knight. Evangeline has an agenda and is determined to endure anything to make sure her goals are met in the end. Carter Knight is an over the top Dom who is determined to break Evangeline (Angel) over and over and over again. He is unrelenting in his quest just as much as Evangeline is set to do whatever she has to do in order to see vengeance against Carter.
I had a love/hate relationship for this man… I couldn’t believe some of the things he did to Evangeline and at one point I wanted to throw my Kindle at the wall because I hated him. It took me a quite a while and it wasn’t until some light was shed into his life that I began to warm up to him. That’s all I can say without spoilers. He is intense, powerful and dangerous in my opinion.

They say the truth will set you free. But being free is a subjective term in this book. Letting go can be just as freeing…… See for yourself…….

Irredeemable💔
This was as hard book to read because the main character, Carter😈, was completely irredeemable to me. He was a rich man's privileged son who used his money💰, his power and his looks🐺 to ruin young women's💋 lives.
The author tries to justify the taking and abuse of the women as consensual, they volunteered for sexual servitude💋 and were paid for it.
It was never made clear where the money💰 paid for the women went, except in the case of Evangeline,(called Toy, or little girl throughout the book) and that money💰 went to her stepfather, Baron Savage. He sold her to Carter. Baron was also completely involved in the sex trade🔥💋🍌🌋✋, as well as heavily involved in the "gentleman's " club that provided the women. Anything a man wants, at a price.💰
Evangeline 💋💔is motivated to be sold to Carter😈 by her stepfather by the need to avenge the death of her father and mother. She believes Carter😈🍌🌋🔥✋ is responsible for her father's suicide. Somehow she believes by becoming his sex slave💋💔, she will be able to get her revenge by exposing what he did to the 🌎world.
I found nothing about Carter😈🍌🌋✋ likeable at all, he was a completely controlling ass, he enjoyed humiliating others, especially women, he had no boundries, no conscience. He enjoyed being mentally cruel to Evangeline💋💔.
Throughout most of the book he was a disgusting, self absorbed maggot, feeding off of other people's misfortune and weaknesses.
I had a hard time finishing this book, but i knew somehow, there would be a happy ending. Believe it or not!
Carter is a true dominant alpha male🐺🍌🌋, he's a spanker✋✋, a choker👐, a binder, and a mental manipulator, but he never really physically scarred or hurt his toy.

This was a hard book to read and review, because the subject matter was disgusting, and the way Evangeline was treated by the men in her life was deplorable. The book is told from both points of view. It's a very well written book with a complicated plot and there is a fair amount of violence.

Vengeance is Beautiful
Vengeance is a dark romance full of manipulation, secrets, and betrayal. From the very first page we received pieces to a puzzle that have been ten or more years in the making. I was hesitant to buy after reading the sample, but something drew me in. I was not disappointed.
Evangeline's time has finally come, she's going to get revenge on the man who ruined her life and killed her parents. She's researched and plan, but there's never enough planning when it comes to a man like Carter Knight. She wanted to get under his skin, make him fall for her, then ruin him. Just like he ruined her family. However, she never could plan on his magnetism or the way her body craves his. She can't let him ruin her plans.
Carter just wanted another toy, but he knew from her picture that Evangeline, his Angel, would be different. He tries to treat her like the ones that came before her, but she's nothing like them. Whenever he thinks he has her figured out, she does something to confuse him. She's getting under his skin, just as much as he's getting under hers. He can't let her make him weak.
Evangeline has been holding onto this grudge since she was a little girl, maybe 8 years old. She fails to realize that it's possible she doesn't have all the facts. She's blinded by hurt and anger. She's still that little girl craving the attention and love her parents used to give her, she feels robbed. Now she believes her feelings for Carter are clouding her judgment. How can she love when he killed her parents and childhood. He's a bad guy. Right?
Everything isn't as it seems, and everyone isn't who you think they are.
