Ace Gray is a best selling author, self-proclaimed troublemaker and connoisseur of both the good life and fairy tales. After a life-long love affair with both books, she undertook writing the novel she wanted to read. Ten books later, she's gotten to live in the world of billionaires, twisted murders, and sweet small towns. She's made her heart race both with suspense and serious swoon and wouldn't trade one minute, one word of it.

When she's not writing, she owns a taco truck in a ski town in Colorado even though she can't cook a lick (that's all her husband). She loves paddle boarding, snowboarding, camping, basically anything outside... and hosting dinner parties (though she's only in it for the drinks). Oh, and of course, writing more words.

Ace is the author of Strictly Business, Bad For Business, Family Business, Twisted Fate, Twisted Death, A Twisted Love Story, Twisted Secrets, Of Smoke & Cinnamon: A Christmas Story, Pretty Young Things, All The Letters I'll Never Send You and All The Letters I've Ever Read. These titles are available on Amazon.

Oh Hells Yes!! This Book!!

My emotions as I write this feel as though they've been through the wringer... so forgive me if I'm all over the place. LOL.

I became obsessed with these characters & their story in Twisted Fate - like absolutely head over heels obsessed. Cole, Elle & Horse really are everything. And... then there was that ending. The cliffhangers of mfkn cliffhangers & we were truly in the dark. Until now.

The thing is, be it irony or what I suspect is Ace's intentional poetic symmetry, we not only stay in the dark in Twisted Death... we roll around in it.

So many glorious twists and turns, I felt both comforted and dangerously off kilter with every page I read. I never knew which way I was going to land, and walking away from its pages when real life demanded my attention was both a relief (so I could take a breath) & a torment (because I didn't want to leave them).

During the blackest, bloodiest dark of this twisted fucked-up fairytale, I took every precious moment of light and held them so close to me, they're were in danger of being crushed. And. It. Was. Magnificent!!!

A fairytale like no other, Ace has skilfully balanced the haunting, chilling & confronting darkness with moments of such unique, fragile and exquisite lightness that this twisted ride will stay with you long after it's pages have been turned.

This book, my dark-romance-loving friends, is not just a scorching hot erotic love story - it's a story about strength, resilience, and survival of the soul.

How far would you go and how much would you endure for those you loved? When you're at the brink of no return, what would it take to pull you back? Laying at the bottom of the deepest pit of misery & despair, how long would you need to be there before you'd never want to come out?

Don't know?

Well, read Twisted Death... and I would suggest that you will start to find out.

*I was provided an ARC of this book, with no expectation on the part of the author that they would receive a positive review in exchange. My review reflects my genuine opinion of this book.*

When I finished the first book in this series, Twisted Fate, I didn't know what the fuck to think. (That's why my review had only 3 words lol). After reading this book, I can safely say that this series is epic! Ace, I love your depravity, lady.

This series has been so fucked up and perfect. Absolutely makes you question your morals and wonder how the hell you got to the point of reading this and loving it so fucking much.

Beyond being hot as hell, suspenseful as fuck, and completely mind blowing, this book is beautifully written. Those prayer scenes had me fucking weeping. Definitely some of the best writing I've had the pleasure of reading. The character growth and development is perfection. So worth all the pain and suffering it took to get to this point.

I can't wait to get more from this fantastically dark and deliciously evil series. If you can handle the darkest of dark, this series is a must read.

Dark, ugly, and beautiful all wrapped into one bloody package.

Once again Ace Gray takes us on a ride in this dark dark fairytale. Things are not perfect, by any means. This story is honestly pretty ugly and brutal, but there are some moments that are beautiful and so full of emotion and love.

Honestly, I can't say much without spoiling stuff... so I'm not going to say anything. Sorry bout it. What I will say is, gird your loins, because this ride is bumpy and bloody.

DNF at 26%.

I enjoyed the first book but yet again the pace is slow and there is unnecessary filler with scenes dragged out so we get both POVs. I've put it down and picked it back up a couple of times, hoping that it was perhaps just my mood. However, this just isn't working for me.

Sex is used both to try and make the book feel dark (rough, voyeuristic and nominally dub-con but ultimately enjoyed) and to show a connection between Cole and Elle. But when it starts to be just about the only thing we see happening then the book is clearly lacking plot. Perhaps things pick up later in the book but I'm just not engaged enough to keep reading and find out.

Intense. This book is intense.

BUT I LOVED IT!

I love Ace's work and this book had me hooked. From how the last book ended, I couldn't wait to dig in and find out what happens.

This story was like an emotional rollercoaster for me. I felt so many different emotions and I know a book is good if it can make me feel what the characters are feeling.

Some parts at the end were nail biting for me, these parts are what I mean about intense. It's dark, I don't normally like dark things but I liked this book.

I could not tell how the book was going to end, sometimes I can predict an ending, but I didn't with this and that's another reason why I really enjoyed this book.

Ace's books are gripping and sensational and this one didn't disappoint.

So I finished Twisted Death a few weeks ago and have been processing my thoughts ever since. And thoughts I have for this book! When I first started TD, I wasn't in the mood for a dark read at the time. BUT I LOVED Twisted Fate and had missed my Cole and Horse AND my Ladyface's written word so much, I jumped in. I was immediately pulled back into the dark, twisted world of Elle, Cole, and Horse. TD isn't all dark and twisted. There are also these beautiful moments too that just do something to your insides. The sick, twisted bastard in me really loved the majority of TD but there were a few things that really kept this from being a five star for me ( I know I'm in the minority here). I can't say too much without giving things away,so hit me up if you've read and would like to discuss. But for now I'll just say this, overall I liked Twisted Death even loved it at times. However, I didn't love it as much as Twisted Fate. I do recommend this series though.

5 « You are my everything » stars!

Holy fuck. Wow. This book is something else. Again. And I loved it. LOVED it. The kind of beyond fucked-up fairy tale only a great author can write.

If you’re already acquainted with Karina Halle’s work, or JM Darhower’s, or CJ Roberts’, you’ll enjoy Ace Gray’s writing. It’s like watching a movie and it’s totally awesome.

« I had the choice between Romeo and Juliet, full of the most epic love and the most tragic end, or something a bit less… final. A little less sure. »

« Forgive me. Please fucking forgive me, » I begged beside him. « Make it through this, wake up, hate me, punch me, whatever the fuck you want, but then forgive me. »
My forehead dropped to his bloodied torso.
« I screwed up everything, Horse. So bad. Please forgive me. » Tears were close to punctuating my words. « I screwed it up with you and Elle and even Conrad, and I’m going to pay forever, but I’ll make it up to you if you pull through and forgive me. »
« He will, » Elle said softly.

« What did you really think you were doing? »
« Protecting her. Protecting you. »

« Sometimes I wish you could see the way you’ve tattooed all these beautiful things on my heart. Someday I’ll find a way to show you. »

If you like pure, unadulterated devil with a huge heart you’ll really enjoy this series. Happy reading!

Ace Gray, I will forever be in love with your stories and YOU! I'm keeping you forever!

“He’s my other half. He’s my soulmate. He’s my fucking everything.” Basically, how I feel about Cole too!!! He's MINE!!

This book is captivating, intense, unforgettable and one of the most thrilling rides I've ever been on!!! While reading this book I kept thinking I knew where the story was leading but I was constantly surprised with every wild twisted turn, bump and plunge of the rollercoaster Ace took me on! It's bloody and unapologetic! This story isn't for those looking for just a simple romance or a HEA without one hell of a fight!!!!

“Heroes always win, knights complete their quest, angels don’t lose their wings.”

I highly recommend Twisted Fate and Twisted Death! Ace brings a new take to a twisted fairy tale! This heart-pounding-never-ending thrill ride is one I won't soon forget!

Well I'm really not sure how to review this one. As it's a continuation of the characters story I really don't want to say much about the storyline as I'd probably end up dropping spoilers and I can't do that so I'll just tell you how I felt.

As soon as I had finished Twisted Fate I jumped straight into this story and it has devoured me. I feel as if the author pulled my heart out twisted it around a few times and gently put me back together again... a few times over while reading this book. My heart ached so many times for the main characters. I was holding my breath in parts and had goosebumps while reading other parts. I really wished I was buddy reading this so I could chat about it while I read.

I really wish I could delete these books from my memory. I really want those feels again. If you like dark and twisted reads then I highly recommend you grab these two books. Amazing.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review for Stephanie's Book Reports.

Twisted Death is the second book in Ace Gray's A Twisted Fairy Tale series. You must read Twisted Fate or Twisted Death will make absolutely no sense to you.

Twisted Death picks up exactly where Twisted Fate left off. Or I should say shortly after where Twisted Fate left off when everything went back. I was so excited to get this book and could not wait to find out what was going to happen or had happened to Cole, Elle, Horse and Conrad. As you already know they have a bond like no other and I loved that about them. I loved how they loved each other unconditionally. Well not exactly Conrad but he wasn't exactly one of the main characters in the book. Horse, Cole and Elle are trying to pick up the pieces of themselves after the night in Micky's lair. Things are never going to be the same and the biggest change is Cole and how he responds to Elle and Horse. Needless to say I wasn't a huge fan of this time period but don't lose faith while your reading or your never going to make it through this book. Up against the most evil man in the world they are all in for the fight of their lives. More secrets are revealed and then.....well you just have to read to find out. There is no way to say much about his story without giving away something that you need to experience first hand. But I will say that Twisted Death is just a dark and gritty and will have you one the edge of your seat more than once while reading.

If you love dark books this is a series that you shouldn't miss. It will certainly mess with your mind and turn you inside out. I so can not wait to see where we all get to go in A Twisted Love Story which I am assuming will be about Horse and Conrad. Don't fret you get a complete story with Twisted Death, but the epilogue will have you wanting the next book as soon as possible.

I’m not entirely sure how Ace writes such amazing, twisty, mindfuckery stories…but I NEED TO KNOW!! I loved Twisted Fate and Twisted Death, was no exception. I think I have whiplash from all the twists she pulled out on this one. Don’t even get me started on how my heart was on the verge of shattering or how many times I wanted to freaking yell and throw things. SOOOO AMAZING!!! Seriously this book was incredible and I feel like I need a cigarette and a bottle of whiskey to cool down after this. I bow down to you ACE!! Truly and utterly EPIC from the dedication to the very last page. AMAZING MUST READ!!! COLE! ELLE! AND HORSE! Don’t even get me started on that INCREDIBLE ending because we will be here for hours. JUST READ! Then you’ll understand.
**Also these quote. are Everything!**
- "Maybe I am. Maybe my heart is black. And maybe that means I deserve to be desecrated. Maybe this is the most twisted fairytale ever written bit I don’t, fucking, care."
-“Heroes always win, knights complete their quests, angels don’t lose their wings.”**
******AMAZING JOB RIGHT HERE LADYFACE! Now if you’ll excuse me, I need a cigarette and whiskey now because reading this book will make you feel the following:
Like you’ve just FUCKED me up the ASS with NO LUBE and now you’re a pile of quivering bones that needs to get itself together.******

I love fairytales, especially dark ones like this! The story continues right where it left off and every single page consumes your heart and soul, it got so dark I needed a flashlight. I embraced the darkness world of these characters and their story devoured me. This story pushes your limits and will you wanting to reach into the story and hold these characters, fight for these characters and just embrace these dark and beautiful characters. I couldn't put this book down as it was honestly one of the BEST dark reads I have ever read! I hate leaving their world behind as I felt like I knew these characters. I'm shaking and in tears as I write this as this story was one of the best fairytales I ever read. I can't say that enough lol Ace Gray words will have you crying, squirming, laughing, holding your breath, fanning yourself and just getting into your head and your heart. I never felt a love as strong as theirs and I'll be feeling in my heart for a long time.

*IF YOU HAVEN'T READ TWISTED FATE TURN BACK*
This was darker than book one... The characters... I still loved each and everyone. There were times throughout the story I had take and a minute and breathe. There were times throughout the story which I had to make myself turn the page or move on to the next chapter. It wasn't because I didn't love the book. I did... It is just the emotions that the characters were exuding were utterly raw. They laid it all out there.
Elle... I felt her pain. I felt how she was being swallowed up by darkness. I'm glad Cole was there. He never let go. He kept on fighting. I love Horse. Everyone needs a man like that in their life. He was a man who was loyal, loved hard, and fought right beside you. Conrad was still annoying... But I understood him more now. Then when he made appearances in the first book. The way the author left everything... I'm hoping for another book.

Sweet holy hell. This is most definitely is not like any fairytale I had read as a child. This author is one of the ones that I wish I could crawl into their heads just to figure out what makes them tick.

This took me a little bit to get back into the story and figure out what was going on because it had been well over a year (and about 1000 books in between) since I read the first book.

Cole and Elle had to fight to make their connection one of love instead of tragedy. Yet, through the darkness they survived. They were dual flames. Cole's devotion, especially at the end, was the stuff of legends. Add in the connection with Horse. CRIKEY.

This is painful but also beautiful to read. This author is very talented. Don't go into this this looking for rainbow glitter and unicorn kisses because it won't be found. However, it is testament that love can grow in the ugliest of places.

5 stars of brilliance!

I was so excited when this book was released, cole happens to be one of my ultimate book boyfriends. I love everything about this man. And when he was dark he was still my cole. Cole is a one of kind of man, they don't come around often. Elle and horse are very lucky to have him in there life. I despise mickey, I just hate every inch of him. I wanted to just die over and over again. I was also upset with Elle when I she had given, she shouldn't have not will cole and horse by her side. I also adore horse he's a big sweetheart. I can't get enough of him. I'm hoping Conrad will come around. Now I can't wait for book 3!! I will always want and need more of cole. This book was just as hot as the first one. And that's one of things I love about Ace. She'd raw and has no shame of what she writes.

How can a book that is so deliciously naughty and dirty and violent also be one of the best examples of pure, EXTRA swoony romance that I have read? Ace Gray has written this book with TWISTED DEATH. I thought the first book in this series, TWISTED FATE, oozed romance (along with all the other good stuff), but I have to say that TWISTED DEATH out-oozes it in every way—it’s sheer poetry people! The L-O-V-E between Cole and Elle and Horse would take my breath away if I was a romantic person! This book has drama and action and sexual violence and heartbreak and lust and love and wonder and hope and yet another cliffhanger end...and and and! If you are a trigger-prone person, you probably shouldn't read it. But if you can read a book for the story, and you enjoy experiencing every emotion imaginable, read TWISTED DEATH! Please, please, please read TWISTED FATE (book 1) first through! It certainly will not disappoint. I give Ace Gray's TWISTED DEATH 5 gut-wrenching (in the best way!) stars! On to Horse's story next! Yay!

If you thought you loved Twisted Fate, then you are going to enter a world of indescribable bliss when you read Twisted Death. I was lucky enough to receive an ARC of this novel to provide an honest review. There's only one unfortunate thing about this fortune: I have no words. I simply cannot put into words the pure love that was put into this masterpiece. This book is not just a piece of work, it is a piece of the author's heart and soul and it's conveyed through her writing. As the book ended, I had nothing but chill bumps. I will love this story until the end of time. This Twisted Fairy Tale has left me with an amazing happily ever after.

Let me start off by saying WOW. This was the perfect conclusion to Twisted Fate! After how Twisted Fate ended off, I wanted, no I needed to find out what happens next in this twisted love story.

Reading Twisted Death was like being on a roller coaster and not knowing what to expect. The only thing I could do was sit back and try to enjoy the ride. My emotions were up and down while reading this and I wouldn't have had it any other way. It was intense, raw, dark and so GOOD!

If you are looking for an intense, dark, sexy and wonderfully written story then I suggest you start this duet.

I do not think that I can stress how absolutely amazing this book is!
As always there is a serious warning as this book is highly sensitive but if you can get past that then you will realize how heartbreakingly beautiful it is!
I can't actually say too much without spoiling it so won't but what I can say is...as usual Ace has got me with all the feels and my emotions are all over the place, I am devouring chocolate to help me cope as I have spent so much time in tears for so many reasons.
This dark and twisty road is not an easy one and will have you feeling things that truly will terrify you in the most beautiful way!
This is my honest and unbiased review!

I was lucky enough to read this amazing read months ago. All I have is, WOW. Ace, you did it again with Twisted Death. It was dark, hot, sexy, pretty effed up, and emotional-- everything I love in a book. Thank you for letting me on this dark ride and still having me question my morals about all things you call, A Twisted Fairy Tale.

Elle

Dark and Twisted! Gritty, angsty, horror and suffering with a romantic flare. I was so invested in this book, I was on pins and needles and my heart broke a few times for Elle and Cole. It was horrible and wonderful, I'm a jumbled up wreck now. The intensity is unparalleled and definitely worth the read of you can handle the content, it's not sunshine and roses, it's blood and death but the hero still slays the Dragon in the end!

I loved it. I hated it. I didn't want it to end.
It's been a hot minute since a book made me cry.

So many feels as I finished this book by the lovely Ace Gray. I'm even more in love with the characters than I was when I finished the first book.
I saw the world and tasted it. I felt every blow and every tingle. Well done ladyface, well done.

3 1/2 stars. I am so torn on my review on both books. First off I absolutely love dark twisted books and I was dying to read these books. Like I couldn't wait to get my hot little hands on them. So the fact that I didn't love them and I am in the minority here makes me think there is something wrong with me because normally the more twisted the better. But in this case I just couldn't get into these books. I really and truly apologize to the author because I am trying to figure out why they didn't click with me.

Let me at least tell what I loved. I loved Cole and I loved how much he loved his Ladyface. Their connection was the absolute best thing about both books.

I think what lost me was there was just so much thrown against the wall to see what would stick. Let's throw all the dark twisted crap we can think of in these books. I mean even the sex didn't do it for me. I also think the whole mafia thing just maybe wasn't my thing. I mean I have read mafia stuff and liked it but this mafia stuff was just not my thing. I don't know...again I am super sorry because I can't really explain why it wasn't working for me when I really really wanted to love it. Super confusing when you absolutely love dark books and you see everyone loved these dark books and you don't. I'm just confused as to what my brain read vs what everyone else read. I think there could actually be something wrong with me. We shall see on my next dark read.

When a book series impacts and alters your very existence the way Twisted Fate & Twisted Death have, it is impossible to describe how monumentally fantastic they are. These dark, totally messed up stories that reach deep into your soul and stir everything up. How do you explain that type of tangled perfection?

Twisted Death is the sequel to Twisted Fate and thankfully fills in some enormous gaps very quickly. If you read the first book, you know what I mean. When I read that final page of TF, I threw my Kindle down and had a temper tantrum because WHAT?! You’ve gotta read to find out.

I fell in love with Cole and his filthy mouth instantaneously. He is the type of naughty hero every dirty romance novel needs and Ace Gray freaking nailed it. Cole is the entire fantasy package wrapped up in gorgeous ink that I want to lick. Elle is lucky I love her so much otherwise I might be reduced to engage in unspeakable acts to make that man mine. Don’t even get me started on Horse…

Pretty sure none of this makes a lot of sense make overall just know you need to READ THIS SERIES! Twisted Fate and Twisted Death are by far my favorite dark romance reads of 2017, if not of all time. I love grit and grim and torture and unknowns… all of it. I’ll never get enough and thank goodness Ace was kind enough to share her overwhelming talent with us.

Twisted Fate sent me into a tailspin. I was all "wtf did I just read?" I HAD to know what happened. I knew there was more to their story and I needed it, like now. Thankfully Ace is not too terrible of a torturess and I didn't have to wait long.
Twisted Death starts immediately after TF. Ace didn't even bother with a recap because it wasn't necessary. I love the story line of this one but I felt a bit disconnected from the characters. I can't really pinpoint exactly where it happened, but it did.
I love the raw, carnal way Grey describes this trios relationship. I love that Elle is able to depend on her favorite men in her life. I love that Horse was finally able to look past his desire and find love for himself. And I wanted to punch them all in the face with how Conrad was handled because their greediness all at the same time.
Thank goodness It appears that we may in fact get a glimpse into a future with them all in it. If it's anything like these first 2 books, we will be in for a heavy ride.

I think I died a thousand deaths with every new page! Ace Gray has become one of my top ten favorite authors of all time and she never ceases to amaze me. I think I was shocked more than anything by how twisted this second book was. With everything the author threw at the reader in the first book, I thought for sure this one would be more tame. I was like there is no way she can top that. Boy was I wrong! Blood, sweat and tears give this novel a tipping point over all the others. It's like watching magic unfold, I was so enthralled I didn't realize I had devoured the pages. I can't give anything away because it's too good to share and ruin the chance to crawl through the bodies to see who comes out on top. All I can say is Elle is my hero. She's kicka$$ with a little bit of submission thrown in the mixed. Hands down best TWISTED read of the year!
