First i must say I given this book with no promised in return and decided to post my honest opinion. This is a new author to me and Ethan was the first book I read by this author. Even though it is book 5 in the series I was able to follow the story line with no problem (can easily be read as a stand alone) with that being said I am going back and getting books 1 - 4 and reading them as soon as I can because this book was great from the first page to the very end. The story line is easy to believe (in a world if shifters existed). The characters are believable and easy to find your self rooting for them, yelling at them and getting angry for them. For a shifter book, I love the fact that this is not an insta-love story, even with the mating bond Ethan and Sophie fight their attraction for each other. Ethan is a true dominate alpha in every yummy since of the word and Sophie is strong and determined woman with a (submissive side in the bedroom). There is plenty of action, suspense, and some really hot and steamy scenes. I would recommend this book to anyone that likes a good shifter romance.

Ethan is the kind of man that women read romances for, the author gave this character a great blend of everything making him unforgettable! Sophie's character is a perfect match for him, she is very impressive, vulnerable yet strong with a quick wit and a kind heart. I liked the balance of adventure and romance, but I absolutely loved the private scenes with the couple. There is a lake scene that was so well written I fully experienced it! Any more to this series will be an instant order for me.

Ethan Lord thinks he knows what he wants in a woman and a mate. He's got it all planned out, thinks he can just make it all come out the way he wants. Not that this is wrong, who doesn't have an image in their head of who they think will be the one? He's always been what ever his sub needed. Can he be what Sophie needs and be true to himself?
Sophie is living a life of pain, fear and hopelessness. All she wants is to keep her family safe. If this means acting submissive and and lying to Ethan she will do whatever she needs to do. Can she be what Ethan needs or is she too damaged by her past?
What happens when a shifter meets his mate and knows she's lying? Will these two be able to find a way to trust each other? And let's not forget Mr Know It All Ethan, his mate is nothing like he imagined, will he be able to come to terms with this?
All I know is this story was hot, exciting and full of twisty turny spots. Not to mention we get to see what's going on with the other guys from NACS. Can I say Matthias is a huge, giant jerkwad? No real relevance, just had to share that with someone......Ethan makes up for him, fyi.
I'm already ready for more! Bring it on!!!

This book is absolutely amazing. Chelsea pulled out all the stops with Ethan and Sophie's story. A dominant shifter mated to a woman who was meant to infiltrate his team. This is a must read of the year

That's when everything thing changes for the better and I absolutely loved it.

I really have no love for Senior and Matthias right now. He manipulated Sophie's sister, but how is she was going to mate with his son of Carley thinks all shifters are bad. I'm glad Ethan and Sophie were safe from those men. All the Alphas in charge are a bunch of manipulative bastards.
