-hitoka yachi and tanaka saeko can step on me and i'd thank them -honest questions: does karasuno pay ukai for the coaching? -okay but saeko's first apperance is def better in the manga than in the anime there i said it -saeko's current worry is that girls dont see how cool her baby brother is AND I COMPLETELY AGREE PLEASE I AM HALF IN LOVE WITH TANAKA P L I S -i can absolutely believe that the first thing yachi thought when koyoko was talking to her is how hot she is because same -kags is wearing a shirt which says 'the way of the setter' in the back omg uwu -yachi's mom is so amazing - hinata: J A P A N G ? -omg i love that poster yachi made -that whole sequence is very different from the anime! they met ushijima with yachi outside her apartment. she shouted on the road, not in the subway station thingy. they went to study on a saturday LATER. -oikawa should have gone to shiratorizawa whew -OHLORD THE BIGASS PANEL WITH USHI LOOKS AMAZING -AAA their faces when they are about to get their tests get me everytime plis - i stand by my previous statement, manga saeko is even more badass and i am in love -BOKUTO SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN -LEV -SLEEPING KAGS -that lil giant guy legit looks like kagehina's love child -NATSU<3
My Crow babies are back and they are ready to fight to go to Nationals!! Its so great to see them motivated again even after losing to Aoba Johsai and I feel so proud of all of these characters, I love them so much.
Things we learnt from this volume: Hitoka is ADORABLE and she 100% has a crush on Shimizu (Like same, girl, I understand), and she's going to make a wonderful manager for the team. Shimizu can actually talk and its nice to see her interact with other girls instead of being the only female! Sick Kenma is the cutest kitten I've ever seen and also his and Hinata's friendship is one of my favourite things ever. This training camp thing will definitely be one of the best things that happens to Karasuno, not only is it going to bring them closer as a team but they are going to improve SO MUCH and I'm very excited to see it in manga form because this part of the anime (season 2) was my favourite!
GIVE ME MORE NEKOMA. I need my Kuroo/Kenma fix! Also we had the quickest glance at Bokuto which makes me so excited to see more of that moron... he's ridiculous but I love him.
Karasuno better be prepared to do a lot of training because THEY CANNOT LET THE THIRD YEARS DOWN FOR THE NEXT TOURNAMENT. I honestly dont want to think about them leaving... What will Karasuno do without their Suga/Daichi aka mum/dad and their No.1 Ace??????? I'm emotional. Help.

As Karasuno was looking for practice matches, another golden opportunity presented itself. The once in a lifetime opportunity to evolve by playing against the top Tokyo powerhouses in a week-long training camp. Hinata has already taken his first step to come out of his shell which i hope will result in the overall betterment of Karasuno Team.
This gave a much needed break from the intense volleyball games to see the school lives of the boys and the manager.
I really enjoyed seeing them in class and study. It was pretty great. The transition from school to the game was well done. Thinking now, after reading it, it was quite smooth.
The search for a new team manager and stress over exams make for a nice change of pace before the team dives back into action with practice matches in Tokyo.
"Nobody needs an unwavering desire or a grand incentive to give something a try. Even when you start something on a whim, over time it can grow into something very important to you."
What a fun volume!!! After all the intensity of the last few, it was nice to laugh so much when reading the first half of this story! I forgot how adorable Yachi is and just how epic her and Hinata's friendship is. He really is such an encouraging friend! Also, seeing the poster she made gave me chills! SO EPIC! I went back to look at those pages more then once!
Soooo even in the anime, I have NOT liked Ushijima. I think the manga only intensified it LOL! I just really really don't like him. ;P Maybe that will change, but this scene is why I DON'T like him. I stand with The Great King and his dislike for him, though I didn't make that connection until now. LOL!
One thing that DID surprise me is that Lev is slightly different in the manga then the anime. I think it's only my perception because he IS the same, but Lev seems less goofy/quirky in the manga and definitely gives me more of sneaky cat vibes. While Kuroo seems more sly and friendly, Lev has this dangerous air to him that keeps me on edge. Maybe because even if he supposedly sucks according to his teammates, he still knows that he's getting under Hinata's skin. It definitely creates a sense of frustration in me because I'm like "Hinata, go fly and teach that boy a lesson!" LOL!
A transitional volume that focuses more on school. They do go to training camp in Tokyo, but that's in the last 3 chapters. Not as engaging as the matches, but we can't be balling all the time.
that poster panel had me like 😭 and knowing it's just the beginning for hinata and other crows...makes me emotional. and yachi casually gave him the main character moment (and got funding for the team, she's gonna be an amazing team manager in the future)
