Robin Hood finds herself struggling with her greatest challenge yet — sitting idle after nearly dying at the hands of the Sheriff of Nottingham.
Will and Edda managed to save her but it'll be a while before she's ready to return to her duties as the poor's hero. But what makes the job a little easier is the fact her lover, Lady Marian Fitzwalter — now a wanted woman after her escape from prison for aiding Robin — is living with her in the forest.
Only Robin Hood and her merry gang can never live a simple life, and they soon discover that trouble is brewing as messengers of Eleanor of Aquitaine, the Queen Mother, have been spotted at Nottingham Castle.
Robin has no idea what lies ahead, but she knows it is her job to find out. And she'll do whatever it takes to ensure that her friends — her family — remain safe.

26/11/2017 - the first draft is finally complete! and I am really happy with how it turned out! I think y'all will enjoy this a lot more than the first one! :D
18/06/2017 - I think I finally have the plot for this down! I can see it being waaaay longer than book 1 but I can't wait to start it. I've got a few other WIPs that need my attention first but soon!
the fact that it took me over 24 hours to finish says it all.
It took over 50% to actually get interesting again. The writing did not really age well and could barely keep my interest. I do want to see how this all ends but it did not charm me like the first one or the side novella did.
So for some unknown reasons I thought it ended in two volumes but apparently... not. I can't wait to read the next one, I can't wait to know what will happen next!!
I'm so so glad I finally got around to reading this because I really enjoyed this! I love these characters a lot and Charlotte's writing is just amazing. I didn't give it a 5-star rating because the beginning was a bit slow and I have to admit that I felt a little bored, but I adored the second half and I can't wait to read the final installment in this series (and the short stories, of course.)
I wish I picked this up sooner! Nevertheless, it didn't take long for me to get back into the world of Robin Hood, her merry gang and Marian. And on this rare occassion, I enjoyed the sequel as much as its prequel :) Can't wait for the conclusion to this story!
