Tiny Timmy and his friends have been staying up to watch The World Cup. The matches are late at night and Australia is about to play. When they lose the game they are disappointed. Tim's dad suggests they choose another team to barrack for till the end of the tournament.

When Gala Day at school is announced as a competition from teams all over the district to play for a winning cup, just like a Kids World Cup tournament. They are all excited. Coach Roach suggests they research the best way to prepare for the games. Firstly, they are all tired from staying up so they need to get more sleep. The competition starts in two weeks.

Millie was looking into eating right, Mike was going to study sleep, Sienna would learn about extra things the pros do to make them winners, and Timmy looked at stretching. They shared their notes at school, but Studs and Hacker weren't listening.

They began playing a team they'd played before. Just like the World Cup they had to win each game to progress through. The first came they did. Then they had to play against teams they hadn't played before. That was harder. Studs and Hacker weren't keeping up because they'd been eating doughnuts soft drinks, not healthy foods.

The next game had a Penalty against the Lions team, and that made Tiny Timmy focus to concentrate on getting the goal, it was a lot of pressure. Then the opposition had a Penalty too and the Lions evened the score. Could they win to get through to the final round?

You'll have to read the book to find out!
