His Bundle of Love by USA TODAY bestselling author Patricia Davids
Desperation drove Caitlin Williams to name firefighter Mick O’Callaghan the father of her baby. She never dreamed that he would take his role seriously enough to marry her. Will a medical emergency pave the way toward a forever family and even love?
I'm not one of those people who knew from birth she was destined to become a writer. I always loved to read and throughout my childhood I could usually be found with a book in my hands. To the disgust of my friends, I even enjoyed creative writing assignments that made them all groan. But I had other dreams besides writing. I wanted to be an actress or a teacher or a lawyer.
Life took a different turn for me, though, when my mother made me take a journalism elective in high school (thanks, Mom!). I knew the first day that this was where I belonged.
After I graduated from college in journalism, I took a job at the local daily newspaper and I reveled in the challenge and the diversity of it. One day I could be interviewing the latest country music star, the next day I was writing about local motorcycle gangs or interviewing an award-winning scientist.
Through it all -- through the natural progression of my career from reporter to editor -- I wrote stories in my head. Not just any stories, either, but romances, the kind of books I have devoured since junior high school, with tales about real people going through the trials and tribulations of life until they find deep and lasting love.
I had no idea how to put these people on paper, but knew I had to try -- their stories were too compelling for me to ignore. I sold my first book in 1995 and now, more than 30 books later, I've come to love everything about writing, from the click of the computer keys under my fingers to the "that's-it!" feeling I get when a story is flowing.
I write full-time now (well, as full-time as I can manage juggling my kids!) amid the raw beauty of the northern Utah mountains.
Even though I might not have dreamed of being a writer when I was younger, now I simply can't imagine my life any other way.

That’s the average rating over 2 novels. RaeAnne Thane is a 4 Star novel. People traveling and learning their misconceptions of each other can be changed.
Book 2 is 2 Stars at best about an overbearing but caring male who is clueless after spending an inordinate amount of time in a shelter for women and children. He knows best and is totally unaware of the issues people in shelters must overcome. A disappointment.
I will read anything with Raeanne Thayne on it and am never disappointed. This one was no diffent, first I have to agree with some other review's the cover was great, caught my eye and I had to have the book. Hunter Bradshaw is Kate Spencer's best and only friend's older brother. She has been secretly in love with him forever. Hunter has lost all his dreams and faith in people. He is hurt, mad and broken, doesn't know how to start over. Both Hunter and Kate have had a really rough time in life. Their story is of 2nd chances, love finding a way to help to very needy souls . It wonderful you will not be able to put it down. The second story by Patricia Davis is also great in it's own way, this is a very clean , inspirational story of Catlin who has had the roughest life you can imagine. She had been left, beaten, her husband stole all her money, left her with a baby then got killed running from the police. When she meets firefighter Mick O'Callaghan she is just about as far down as a person can get. Her baby is coming, she has nothing . Mick is a very devoted Christian and has had losses of his own, he loves children's and always wanted a home and family, but found out he can't have any. Everybody should be so lucky as to have a Mick in their life, now if only Caitlin can learn to trust, and believe not everybody wants to hurt her, or leave her, or take something from her. Truly a wonderful story all on it's own.
Good example of people who say something without thinking first. I always had that problem. RaeAnne Thayne did give us subtle hints that maybe the two main characters were speaking from the heart or feelings deep inside. I’m afraid I just put my foot into my mouth much more often than most. Though I could relate sometimes the friction and frustration living through the characters are hard to bear and I just want tell them what to say. These are the times when reality sneaks in and you except they seem human in their character and you just let them find their way through it all.
Though the backstories of both main characters in Never Too Late are quite dark, I enjoyed this book. (I love a good happily-ever-after ending.)
The premise of His Bundle of Love seems far-fetched, but years ago, I worked with a gentleman who did something quite similar. He started dating a girl who he knew was pregnant with someone else's baby. (The original couple had broken up.) They fell in love, and he raised that little girl as his own, without question. I was a bit surprised to see a similar story show up in a book I picked up at the dimestore.
So many of God's children start life without love and stability, but they are fully and equally loved. I enjoyed the skill of the author in blending a hauntingly beautiful story of human kindness which touches the heart with a magnificent love story. Real-to-life story, well told. Made me cry, but also made me laugh at loud throughout the entire book. Read it!
This author has become my favorite and this is one of her best love stories concerning a baby born very early in a broken down city home. The birth was managed by a fireman that was called by emergency, taking the mother and the baby to the hospital as soon as possible after the child was born and somehow falling in love.
Overall the book was really good, I especially liked that first story in this book on how the two of them find out how they really love each other. The ending was a bit rushed though. The second book was fine but a bit pressured
