Blurb:
***The Midway Novels are spin-offs of the Hidden Wings Series, but each book can be read as a standalone.***

Tucked away at an upscale, private boarding school in Brindle Hollow, Washington, seventeen-year-old Eden East comes face to face with a hideous creature on her walk back to her dorm. Shaken to her core, she's left questioning the world around her, and soon finds herself entering a friendship with a hot, new student named Alexander.

Little does she know, Alex is a Guardian Angel, sent from Midway to protect her from those dangerous creatures—known as Darkling—lurking in the forest outside Brindle Hall. It isn’t long before Alex learns this is no ordinary assignment. Eden’s existence holds a secret; something hidden from even herself.

Eden is thrust into a world where Fallen angels and creatures of the Underworld will stop at nothing to catch her. With Alex at her side and a little help from some of his old friends, they form a formidable front against the enemy.

Hopefully, it’s not too little, too late.

Cameo Renae has blown me away once again. She made my heart melt. Alex and Eden's connection is one you can't help but fall for. I loved being introduced to new characters as well as seeing some of the old characters from Hidden Wings. I really love the Hidden Wings Series and was so excited for this spin off. Cameo's writing is truly magical, she pulls her readers in straight from the start. Once you read the first page, you wont be able to put it down til the end, then youll be left with a book hangover, wanting so much more from the characters. I loved the drama, the actin and romance! Guarding Eden has it all! I can't wait to see what Cameo Renae has in store for her readers next, I know it will be nothing less than phenomenal.

Sigh... oh how I love this world that Cameo has created! Alex, an amazing Guardian that we got the pleasure of meeting in the Hidden Wings series, is on an assignment that is going to change his world forever.
Eden is a mortal who has seen a darkling and survived, and now she is in grave danger. Enter Alex and an amazingly swoon worthy, action packed adventure that will have you flying through the pages.
We get some fun visits with old friends, and get to meet some fantastic new ones. I am truly hoping we get visits with them in future books too. These characters are freaking hilarious! And such amazing people, their friendships are inspiring and beautiful.
I can't wait for more books in this new spin off series, I didn't realize how much I needed more of this amazing world until the first sentence, and now, I'm in Grandia!

I like books about angels, fallen angels, Heaven and Hell. That being said I was really excited to review Guarding Eden. It’s supposed to be a standalone, starting a spin off series of the Hidden Wing Series, but I felt a little lost without having read the Hidden Wing Series before. There were a lot of characters mentioned shortly who somehow influenced the male MC during his life, but without the background information I was a little confused by that. It felt a little bit as if the author wanted to push me to read the Hidden Wing Series before this one, to understand everything completely.
Despite these information leaks I enjoyed reading this book. The author has a really colorful language (meaning: is able to paint good pictures in my head, not using a lot of swear words) and I could imagine everyone perfectly. The characters were well developed and lovable, even though I liked the side characters Kimi, Bastian and Trissa a bit more than the two MCs, Eden and Alex.
I found it quite obvious what would happen as soon as Eden turns 18, so that one didn’t came as a surprise for me. I mean, I was surprised that they were surprised. Obviously angels are not that good with logic.
The plot itself was well developed, there were no inconsistencies or plotholes or something like this and I enjoyed reading this book. It was a quick, fastpaced read and I have to admit, after reading Guarding Eden, I purchased the first book in the Hidden Wings Series to get in the flow.

WOW Cameo Renae has slayed me again! I love her writing weither it be Dystopian (After Light Saga), In My Dream Duet, Angels & Demons (Hidden Wings Series) or this new spin off the Midway Novel's (Again Angels & Demons). You can tell with her writing she has a passion for her characters and the world they live in.

In the Midway Novel Guarding Eden you get a chance to see some of your favorite characters from the Hidden Wings series if you missed them a bit. You even get to embrace the love for the new character's brought to life, Alex and Eden. Alex and Eden face danger and adversity like none i have seen. It seems that good does triumph evil no matter what, but at what cost? To find out your answer to this question you will have to read this book full of laughs, love and anger.

Again Cameo, great job well done on another book! I look forward to many more novels from you in the future!

I swear every time this women writes a book, I'm glued to it. She has this ability to suck you into a magical world she's created, and you never want to leave.

Now. Although Dom is my favorite from the Hidden Wings series, I loved reading about Alex, he's such a sweet, caring guardian who protects with everything in him.

And Eden, everything happening to her, most people would freak and run the opposite direction. Not this girl, she's a champ. Willing to keep those she loves safe and keep moving forward, knowing everything in her life will change.

I can't wait for more in this series. Especially Dom. 😍

Wow. Just wow. I was so happy when Ms Renae announced that she is writing this book! Yes I hoped I will get Dom's story first but hey I won't complain as she gave me glimpses of him *sigh*

This book is everything that I expected from the spin-offs. You have the old characters but it's so easily to follow the story without reading the other books. But why would you miss on this awesome series?

Alexander's story is beautifully written, funny, emotional and just perfect. The turmoil he and Eden go through to stay professional and concentrate on either friendship or guarding her brought tears to my eyes sometimes.

And yes. Cameo made me cry here. If you read previous books you will know which part made me cry.

Thank you Cameo for giving us more of Guardians and that I was to be part of their journey.

5 heavenly stars❤️

Omg I couldn't put this book down. It should come with a warning label that this book is highly addictive. The only way I can describe this book is that it was written perfectly. I could picture it in my head like I was watching a movie. Thank you for allowing me to be part of your arc team Cameo Renea and I can't not wait for the next adventure

This story was just AH-MAZ-ING!!! Reading it made me realise how much I've missed reading stories about Angels. It was definitely a refreshing much needed change.

Cameo Renae is such a brilliant storyteller, her words captured me completely, I just fell in love with this story and it's characters.

I have to say besides the two main characters Alex and Eden, I just adored Sabastian, he was one of Eden's best friends and whenever he was there I was laughing my head off. He's definitely one that lights up those pages. A worthy best friend in my book! ^_^

This action packed love story is definitely one to pick up. I know I'll be rereading again soon.

I just LOVED it!!!

I've read all but one of this author's books and I've read her Hidden Wings series and I loved that series a lot, so I was really, really excited when a spin-off series was announced! I waited patiently for this book to release and then grabbed a copy as soon as it did! I waited a few weeks to read this book because I had such high expectations for it that I didn't want to be disappointed lol! I finally took the plunge though and I'm really happy I did because I loved this book! The plot developed at the perfect pace and had me hooked from the first chapter! I loved that the plot had romance and some action in it! There was more action than I was expecting, so this made me love the plot even more and the action added a lot to the plot! The relationship between the two main characters was very sweet and I loved that it wasn't instant love as well! I also loved that some of the characters from the Hidden Wings series made appearances in this book too! This made me seriously happy! The characters were also amazing and made this book even better! Eden was the main female character, and in this book she went through a lot and had a lot of information thrown at her! She discovered a lot about herself too and in a way I think this actually gave Eden a bit of closure! I also felt sorry for Eden because she thought that she was a normal girl that was on her way to graduate and then she found out what she really was! Eden handled everything so well though! She took everything in her stride and she didn't freak out lol! I also connected with Eden all the way through this book and I didn't lose that connection with her! Alex was the main male character and love interest of Eden! I loved Alex a lot in this book! He had a tough job, but he loved it! Alex was also a very strong character and there was something very hot and likable about him! He was easy for me to connect with and understand too! I also loved Alex with Eden! He was very, very protective of her, which was completely understandable considering the danger she was in! Alex was very sweet towards Eden too and it was easy to see his feelings for her grow! He really loved her by the end of this book and he wanted to spend the rest of his existence with her! I also loved that this book was written from both Eden and Alex's point of views! I wasn't really sure if it was going to be before I started reading and after I read the synopsis! The synopsis made it sound like it was only going to be written from the main female character's point of view, so I'm happy that it was written from both characters point of views! It helped me connect more with both characters and it allowed for more things to happen in the plot, especially since the characters spent some time apart! I also can't wait to read the next book in this series! This book exceeded my high expectations and I can't wait to continue Eden and Alex's story! I also really hope that the next book releases soon because I've read all this author's other books lol! The cover for this book is stunning and so pretty! I love it a lot and love how well it suits the book! It's perfect for the book and definitely make me want to pick the book up and read the story behind it!

I was so excited when I heard this author was doing a spin off to The Hidden Wings series. I am a 100% #TeamKade, but I love getting to know all the other guardians, as well. And I can't wait who is going to be the next guardian in this series.
When Alex graced us with his presence in this book, you really get to see him, for him. Even though he was a big character in The Hidden Wings series, this story is all his, well and of course Eden's. But wow, who know Alex could be such a heart throb??? Me of course, but I loved seeing him open his heart and mind to us readers!
You could read this book without reading The Hidden Wings series, but I highly recommend that you read that series first. Just so you can get to know ALL the amazing characters the I love so much!
Now grab you a copy and follow Alex and Eden's story!!! This is a must read!

I absolutely love each and every word in Guarding Eden!
I felt like I have laughed, cried, and celebrated love with each turn of the page. I love how the characters all grow through the book, and how they are all intertwined.
Eden is a wonderful soul that I really feel I could connect with. I love it!!!
Alex.... oh sweet Alex!! He never pushes, is always the gentleman and is totally there for everything Eden needs. Truly what you would imagine a guardian angel to be like!!
That ending!!! I want to read so much more!!
Let's dance in the rain!

If you've read the Hidden Wings series or are a fan of angels, then this book is for you!!
While the Midway Novels are considered stand-alones, they do take place after the Hidden Wings series and that series fills in some gaps and will give the reader a more thorough experience in Guarding Eden.
Action, adventure, hilarious best friends, romance and a forbidden, intense attraction makes this the perfect getaway book!

Alex is sent to guard the beautiful Eden from a darkling attack and his mission is to figure out why but she might be in more trouble then they thought. Eden and her friends welcome Alex into their group and soon the adventure begins. When Alex finds out Eden's true identity, will he be able to protect her? With help from some friends, he might have a chance! Alex and Eden must not only fight for her life but also the attraction they feel for one another, guardians are not to get involved with their mission! Will love conquer all? Will Alex be able to keep her safe? I loved the friendship Eden has with her group of friends and Sebastian cracks me up! Wonderful start to this spin-off! Loved it and can't wait for the next book!

Guarding Eden by Cameo Renae was a fast paced, keep you on the edge of your seat kind of book! This book grabbed me from page one and wouldn’t let me put it down. I was sucked into the world of Eden and Alex and couldn’t wait to see what would happen! I enjoyed the dynamic between Eden and her friends and how close they are. I truly love the world the author has created from the guardians to fallen, to so many secretes not every human knows about. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

This book is a spin off of "The Hidden Wings" series by Cameo Renae. It is among my favorite young adult series. It’s about Fallen angels and a girl who is about to become come into power at the age of 18. A Nephilim. I love books on angels and Nephilim, so when Cameo announced she was writing a spin-off, I was so excited.

"Guarding Eden" is the first book in the spin-off. Is about a young girl named Eden. She attends a boarding school in Washington state and in a few weeks, she will be graduating. After a night out with her friend, on her way back to the dorm alone, she see a dark figure in the woods. Eden questions herself at what she is seeing and thinks to herself if she had rumors of things in the wood, but nothing come to mind. She was unsure what she was seeing and if it was real until it speaks to her and tells her "I can smell you." Thankful for the guard on duty, which the kids at school make fun of, comes just in time to scare off the creature.

Meanwhile, Midway was sending a warrior angel, Alex, to protect Eden. Midway is a place where guardin angels live until sent out on an assignment. Alex's assignments was protecting Eden and to figure out why the Darkling(as Alex calls them) has shown up and allowed itself to be seen by Eden. After the Darkling knows that it has been seen, it will not stop until he kills the one that has seen him. Darkling normally don't allow humans to see them so the question is, why did it want let Eden see him and not kill her? So Alex, is here to protect Eden and in his attempt to blend in, he becomes a student and makes friends with Eden to keep her safe.

I have personally got to meet Cameo a couple of times now, and she is by far, my favorite author. She creates a world that you fall right into with the characters. They become real. Eden is no different. She is smart and attractive, according to Alex, and she is totally blind sided with her feeling for Alex. Alex is one of the best warriors in Midway but they forbidden to find love with a human. Upon entering the school as a student, Alex catches the eye of all the girls, who all start trying to get his attention. But he only eyes for Eden. Eden is sitting at a table with her friends, (Sebastian, Kimi, and Trissa), for lunch with this guy, Alex, walks in. I love Sebastian. If you are offended by gays, then you will not want to read this book. Sebastian is attracted to Alex when he sees him walk in the cafeteria. Of course, Trissa, is like "WOW" what a hottie. Eden, has an amazing group of friends and they are like family.

You will not be disappointed when it comes to the action, violence, romance, and yes, even death. I become so involved in the book and the scene that is taking place that I end up not being able to put her books down. Cameo is among the best YA authors out there.

I don't want to spoil this book for you but lets just say that Alex and Eden are forbidden to love each other and in between saving her and contacting Emma and Kade to help her understand her future and to explain to her what she is facing. Eden, knew she was different; she is having more energy and healing a lot faster than normal. After being taken to Alaska to meet Alaine, Emma, Kade and the rest of the crew, to help her out, she is attacked and begins to question Alex, of what she is. Her story unfolds and things begin to happen to her and having Alex there with her, gives her strength and she finds out what may happen to her when she turns 18. You will not want to miss out on what happens the night of the dance and the dangers that occur.

I highly recommend this series but I highly recommend reading the "Hidden Wings" series but picking this book up. However, you don't have too, but It will atleast give you some insight on how the story has unfolded from the beginning and why Emma is able to help her. The story is Emma, is unlike any story I have ever read.

Recommended reading age.. I would suggest no one over 16+ to read these. There is several sex scenes but not explicit. There is danger, fights, some language, and blood scenes

2 days. I read this book in 2 days. The only reason it took me that long was because things like ‘sleep’ and ‘responsibility’ kept getting in my way. As a huge Hidden Wings fan, I majorly had my hopes up about this book, and KNEW I would not be disappointed. Cameo Renae does not write bad books. It’s the easiest decision in the world which book to pick up if one of those choices is her book.

I was super curious to find out how the Hidden Wings world would continue, yet this new series could also be read as a standalone. I was very happy and very impressed with how she worked all of that out. As someone who had never read the Hidden Wings series, she wrote just enough to explain the basics of how her world was built, yet at the same time, it wasn’t too much explaining for those of us that have already read the Hidden Wings series. As a new reader, or a reader familiar with the previous series, I assure you that you will be equally sucked in.

Her world building and character building are always so smooth and perfect, and it takes no time to feel like you’ve been with these people forever, and they’re all your good friends. And speaking of these friends, before Alex showed up, Eden already had a pretty awesome group of good ones that she had been going to her private school with for 4 years by this point. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I LOVED one of her best friends, Sebastian! His personality and humor stood out like no other, and I couldn’t get enough of him. I would love to see a book – even just a novella – where he and Dom (who also makes a few appearances in the book only in the way Dom can) have to work together for some reason. I’m sure it would be a book I’d be laughing all the way through!

As for Alex and Eden, they have the absolute sweetest relationship. It has to be really hard for an author to write about two people that meet -- one of them getting thrown into a world that they thought was nothing more than fairytale just a few days before -- and then have them build a relationship of trust in such a short period of time. As a guardian angel, it’s Alex’s job to build trust, but he usually has more than a few weeks. He certainly wasn’t expecting it to go as well as it did. Not only that, it was fully believable as a reader. I have no idea how Cameo Renae does it! I’m usually so incredibly skeptical of quick relationship and/or trust building, but it worked so well. Eden quickly trusted Alex, his old friends, and everything he said about what was happening to her – and it all felt completely natural to the reader. And as a girl that grew up without a father, she even ends up finding out who he is through all of this. I’m not sure if it was more emotional for her, or for those of us reading it!

I’m so, so very happy Cameo Renae started her new series based on a story about Alex and Eden. This was definitely the perfect choice. I can’t wait to see who’s next, and what challenges they will face. Hopefully we’ll get to see a glimpse of what our new friends from this book are up to as well.

Wow, simply wow! I just wanted to take a sneak peek ....and then, suddenly, I turned the last page. The next thing I did, I downloaded another book by Cameo Renae and I am so looking forward to reading it!

"Guarding Eden" sounded rather interesting and a bit unusual and I just thought that it might make a nice change. Then I started reading and it captivated me right from the start. I loved the amazing characters as well as the great story, I felt and suffered and feared with our hero and our heroine and I hoped, oh, how I hoped that everything would turn out well!
The one or the other tear, some giggling, some nail-biting and other emotional outbursts later, I just can tell that this book is simply amazing.
I absolutely loved the well-constructed story, it was well-written as well and the whole of it just kept me glued to my reader.
When Eden East meets Alexander West, she does already know that something is changing and that there are things going on that are definitely not easy to understand but the weeks to come - well, that is a whole different story and she soon learns that her whole world has been turned upside down.
Okay, when Alex learns that his name is now West - ha, ha, how fitting, considering Eden's last name - he is a bit annoyed at first but he will soon be so much more annoyed when he realizes that this girl, his new assignment, is the one to make him come close to risk everything he believes in, everything he lives for and that his life will never be the same ...
Alright, maybe Eden's encounter with a Darkling, that prompted Alexander's assignment, was a certain indication that things were changing but when the Fallen turned up, well..... Things just got worse, right?

I enjoyed reading about all these wonderful characters, even the minor characters were well developed and very lovable, it as so much fun to read about them and to spend time with them. When I read the last page, I loved this perfect ending but I was also a bit lost because I hadn't wanted it to end, yet. Well, I guess, I'll just have to watch out for the nextbook ion this series and spend my time catching up on the author's other book, now.

Guarding Eden ( Midway Series #1 )
By Cameo Renea.
Can be read as a stand alone, but also a spin off from the Hidden wings Series.

A story about Angels and Nephilim told beautifully. A stunning flawless read!

I must admit I am new to Cameo's Books. I have a couple of her digital copies sitting on my Kindle but as of yet, they have gone unread due to my reviewing so many other books.
Wow just wow I am so pleased to have finally read one of Cameo's books.

I am so pleased to have entered the world of Midway and Guardians. I always love reading about Angels, fallen angels, and Nephilim.
I love Cameo's take of telling her story on a well-used genre.

Guarding Eden is completely flawless.
She has a fabulous way of bringing to life her words. The words are so well written it played out in my head easily. Guarding Eden is one of those books that you just can't get enough of! I found once I started it, I just kept picking it back up every available opportunity. I most certainly am now going to go back and read those couple of copies I have sitting on my kindle.
Cameo has just hit one of the top names on my list of favorite authors! The ones to follow and grab all new books! follow on social and just totally stalk. ( but in a good way! )

This book made me feel all kinds of fuzzy, I totally loved it. The growing relationship between the two main characters was stunning. I really enjoyed each character even those stinkers!
I loved the beautiful friendships that Eden had with fellow students. Sebastian gave a humorous quality to the book he is just "Shamazing"

I very highly recommend this book! 5 - BIG Stars from me.

Cameo Renae is a genius of the highest order, this girl can write, she sets the scene beautifully, with great detail to the surrounding areas, you can picture the scenes in your head like a movie and that is because Miss Renae has built it up properly, not left us with titbits here and there, it is a full on masterpiece, how this has not been picked up for TV, I don't know, The characters are not your basic characters, she has written them with great love, you can tell she poured her heart into each and every one, we meet new characters and old ones from the Hidden Wings series, this whole series is amazing, who doesn't love a good Angel story? scratch that who doesn't love a great Angel story? I know I do, Eden & Alex are perfect together even through the tribulations of growing up, being under attack and high school drama, you can see their love growing over time, well worth the money to buy this one people, you will get sucked in and if you haven't already may I suggest you read the whole Hidden Wings series, you won't be Sorry, I give it a 5 out of 5,

Having read the original Hidden Wings series, I was really looking forwards to this book. So when I spotted it was on Kindle Unlimited I decided to give it a read, and I was not disappointed.

Eden East, attends a private boarding school in Brindle Hollow, Washington when she comes across a hideous creature on her way back to her dorm. After escaping its clutches and making it back to her room, she questions whether what she saw was real. The next day in walks Alex West, a transfer student who isn't entirely what he seems.

I actually really liked the character of Eden and Alex, as they try to fight their attraction for each other and Eden tries to find out the truth of what is going on around her. We also get to see a few familiar faces from the previous Hidden Wings series. The one highlight for me from this book was little references to the Twilight series, which gave me a good giggle. I also absolutely adore Sebastian, one of the secondary characters of the story and good friends of Eden. He's quirky and funny, and can lighten even the darkest moments.

This is a great start to a new series by Cameo Renae. It is a spinoff from the Hidden Wings series. You don’t need to read Hidden Wings first. I have read the first three Hidden Wings books, but it’s been three years. I think there is a re-read in my near future.

Eden East is at a boarding school. She’s getting ready to turn eighteen and graduate high school. She has three amazing best friends.

One night, everything changes because she saw a creature.

Everything really starts to change when a new guy starts at the school.

Alex has been tasked to be Eden’s guardian.

She took finding out about everything pretty well.

I do feel there are some things missing. I can’t see Sebastian and the girls not trying to figure out what happened while in Seattle.

It would have been awesome to see Alex take Eden to Grandia.

Overall, this is a great start and I will read more.

If you haven't read this book, I suggest you get off of this review RIGHT NOW and go to your NEAREST book store and pick up a copy!! I laughed, I cried, I screamed, I ripped out my hair, and I fell in love with a whole new set of characters!! My new fav is Sebastian. He is the ULTIMATE best friend!! He has Eden's best interests at heart, fiercely loyal, and hilarious as HELL!!! Alex is drop dead GORGEOUS (as the perfect book boyfriend should be). There is nothing lacking about this book except, of course, that it eventually ends and I have to wait for book 2. Ugh the wait!! I think I found myself a new favorite author!! Seriously, go get this book if you haven't read it!! It's a spin-off of Hidden Wings, so if you haven't read that either, do yourself a favor and pick that series up as well!!

I've finished Guardian Eden and I loved it! ❤️This is a new series by Cameo Renae (a spin of her first series Hidden Wings-A MUST READ!)

My head wants to stay in this magical angel filled world that Cameo brings you in every time with this series!

The main characters are Alex a guardian angel and Eden a seventeen girl, Alex has been sent from Midway to guard and protect Eden and his mission is to find out why she is being attacked by the darkling.

Old characters are included and new ones are too! This book is filled with angels, friendship and romance!

I won't spoil anything, as you might not have read Hidden Wings but make sure you do as you'll be missing a lot on another amazing couple.

Thank you for this ARC!
Can't wait for the next coming fall/winter this year! 😆🎉

Loved it!!

The Hidden Wings series was one of the first book series that I had read on my kindle. Was saddened to see it end. But, when I had heard that Cameo Renae was writing a spin off called " Midway" , I was ecstatic!!

This is a trilogy, and I have a little rule with "series" amongst books. I won't start it til all the books are out. The Midway series is complete, and it delivered all I had hoped it would. Books 2 & 3 are waiting for me to devour.....

Loved reading this book, being back in the Hidden Wings world was awesome. The little surprises in the book are wonderful.
Definitely recommend reading this series, and perhaps also reading the Hidden Wings series, so you fully understand the interaction amongst the different characters. Enjoy !!!

Well I haven't read the other books in the Hidden Wings series but I definitely want to. I absolutely loved guarding eden and all the characters. Eden was a great main character. She wasn't whiny, she accepted the changes due in her life and she still thought of her friends when she was going through a horrendous time.

What can I say about Alex? I want one!

I loved Sebastian and Eden's other friends. I would love to read a story where Sebastian find his love.

I look forward to reading about how Alex and Eden get on with their new life.

I was given this book in exchange for a honest review and I absolutely loved it.

WOW! Guarding Eden is a spin off from the author's Hidden Wings" series. This book can be read as a stand alone but I would recommend reading the Hidden Wings series first, it will give you background into some of the characters in this book, plus they are amazing books. This book is an awesome read in its own right. I set down this morning and started this book, here it is 12 hours later and I just finished. I lost a whole day trapped in this book unable to put it down. The two main characters Alex and Eden are perfect and the secondary characters brings the book to life. There is some suspense, action and even a few funny moments making this a great YA PNR book! A must read!
