Kayson and Conner finally tie the knot! Because Kayson popped the question a whole ten minutes before Jody got the chance, his wedding is up first. It’s everything they both deserve; complete with Kingsley shenanigans!
Jody and Cameron also get hitched in a much more Jody and Cameron kind of way. Along the way, we also get a new guy into the shop, by the name of Felix Finnley; or Finn, if you want him to answer you. This is just a smidgen of their lives together as married men and the new guy before he meets his own hot guy.
Come along for the ride, but beware… there will be a cliffhanger, albeit a small one, it’s there.
Jenny Wood- Stay at home mom with two amazing kids and the most supportive, ridiculously good looking, husband. :P My love of writing comes from my love of reading and I count myself incredibly lucky to live in a place where I can do what I love and hopefully, make some people happy while I do it.
*** It's a wedding day ! *** The guys are all decked out and ready to celebrate Kayson and Connor. A splendid day, a touching ceremony and lots of love. Perfect! I still remember Connor and Kayson's story, when Connor was punched and Kayson helped him. The whole family is present on this wedding day and it's fun to see everybody. Kingsley and Morgan, Kady, Jase and Joker, Jody and Cameron, and more. Later at the Kennedy Ink Shop, a new employee will be coming to town. He's got a 2 yr. old girl, Lennon. Finn is a bearded bear, has excellent talent, a portfolio, and recommendations. *** Next up is Jody and Cameron's small wedding ceremony. Sweet ! Finn then steps into his new role at the Ink shop. Morgan is babysitting Lennon when she gets sick. The men meet up at the clinic. For Finn who hasn't been able to be "out" where he came from, it's making him happy to be in this comfortable, welcoming environment. And then - Finn is thunderstruck ! Yes, a cliffhanger....
I'm beginning Finn right away !
I love this series by the talented Jenny Wood. Great, larger than life characters we love, super hot sexiness and important stories to tell. Outstanding ! Engaging ! Meaningful ! Highly recommended. ENJOY ! =======
This was a short quick with the guys finally tying the knot. First up is Kayson and Conner who had a fancy church wedding. Jody and Cam had a backyard friends and family. We also meet the new guy Finn who is a single father to a little girl that everyone loves. This book had a formatting issues and a few inconsistency in it. I am looking forward to reading about Finn and the doctor who we met in book 1.
In this sweet little novella we get not one but two Kennedy brother weddings. We also meet the new guy Finn (and his spectacular beard) and his baby girl Lennon. There was plenty of romantic goodness to be had here, as well as that great Kennedy bro-banter that I’ve come to love.
Did anyone else have a near on heart attack by that ending? Who doesn't remember Dougals Perry!??! I gasped, literally out loud. While yes, this is a novella and it does seem a little rushed at times, I found myself flipping through pages like my fingers were on fire!
Kayson and Conner's vows did not disappoint. I loved them! Jody and Cameron's did too, but it was in such a Jody and Cam way, true to the blurb I can't say anything about this author or anything she writes. I love it all. I'm a fangirl through and through. I'm anxious for Finn's story, I have this picture of him in my head and I just know that he'll live up to all of my very high expectations. I put the release date in my phone calendar, least I won't forget!
Short and sweet! But ooooh, how Jody redemed himself... at least to me, he did! And we meet Finn and his cute daughter, Lennon... How cute is that name?? I loved every second and I cannot wait for the next one. It's promised in a couple weeks. THAT BOMBSHELL AT THE END THOUGH!! I'll be counting down the days!
Okay, let’s just get this out of the way: if you're here for perfect grammar and flawlessly edited prose, this is not that kind of book. This is why: - Book 1 - review
Now, this book. A total surprise hug in literary form. I wasn’t expecting to feel so soft about it, but here we are. Watching the characters finally tie the knot. Ugh, my heart. I was grinning like a total dork.
Let’s be real though — the pacing. Still faster than a squirrel on espresso. I could’ve used a bit more buildup and a deeper dive into the emotional soup of it all. But hey, it still managed to hit some really sweet and emotional moments, so I’m not mad. Just… mildly exasperated in a loving way.
Oh! And we finally meet Finn — who, spoiler alert, is up next in the series — and I am READY. Like, fully locked in, snacks on deck, emotionally bracing myself. But the real twist. His love interest. Remember Douglas Perry? Yeah, that Douglas. The one who punched Conner in book one. He’s getting a redemption arc. I KNOW. I did not see that coming, but I’m so here for it. He’s always had that “jerk with a hint of mystery” vibe, and I had a sneaky suspicion there was more going on behind the scowl.
Anyway. This was a sweet, messy, swoony little gem of a read. Imperfect in all the ways that somehow make it perfect for curling up with when you want your heart squeezed and your faith in fictional people restored. Bring on the next one — I’m emotionally invested and mildly obsessed.
If you haven't read the other books, go back and read them first. For those of you who have read the series, this is the book for you. Nice update on everyone and a pretty cool setup for Finn's book.
A sweet sweet, emotional novella about the "Kennedy boys" getting married with their chosen partners.
It's so nice to get a sneak-peek into the previous MCs lives and love stories and a new "Kennedy guy" with his little daughter were introduced - I can't wait to read Finn's story ;)
This time I overlooked the editing and simply enjoyed the story :) Hence - 4 stars!
The tag line says it all! If you’re a fan of the series you’ll want to see the amazing cuteness that is these guys getting married and stop by to meet the new guy – Finn – whose story is coming up next.
I love how they play with each other and joke around and how really deep the emotions are for all the couples involved.
Highly recommended – especially now that you can dive right in to Finn next!
Loved being able to read about two couples getting married. But I want more of Jody's journey. He admits his shortcomings in this book and acknowledges his issues...but I want to see him work through them more. I want a front seat to his journey. Maybe some therapy or some workshops with Jase to repair what was damaged. I want Jody to get redemption in my eyes...I NEED MORE SO HE CAN GET IT...lol. Anyway...I love the new guy Finn and his daughter...and IM SO FREAKING EXCITED ABOUT WHO THE LOVE INTEREST WILL BE. Ever since the first book, that guy has been on my mind. I wanted something more for him and IM GONNA GET IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Awww Jinx and Layla moved away!!! I liked them in the peripheal sort of way!!
All in all was good seeing everyone again, I totally cried at the vows, like legit ugly tears!! same with Kings vows to Morgan!! And can Morgan get to the 5 year mark already!!!
Was also glad she told us the time jump since book 1!! Could legit say they were around the same time period as the time jump didnt register.
Also I legit love the camraderie that this author infuses her characters with but she either needs an editor, or needs to fire her current editor cos it's taking away from what could be truly excellent reads!!
Yes it was a really good cliffhanger ............. however cliffhangers suck PLEASE write really fast ......... lol I want to know more about Finn and Dr. Dreamy .... :)
