Billionaire Dominic Baine stepped into Avery Ross’s life when it was at its lowest. Obsessed with the beautiful, struggling artist, Nick was determined to have her. What began as a scorching seduction soon burned out of control, exploding into a white-hot passion neither of them could deny.

Yet Nick and Avery are two damaged people, both haunted by dark secrets with the power to destroy them. And for Nick, the ugly past that shaped him cannot compare to the unforgivable deception that drives Avery from his arms, from his life. Now the man accustomed to having everything he desires must find a way to redeem himself to the only woman he has ever loved.

Avery Ross has known heartbreak. She has known betrayal and loss, but nothing like the pain that loving Dominic Baine has brought into her life. Reeling from the aftermath of his devastating revelation, instead of allowing despair to break her, she builds herself into something stronger—the fearless woman and gifted artist that Nick’s passion has taught her to be. Yet her heart is in pieces, and despite everything she has, the one thing she needs is the man whose possessive desires and consuming love holds the power to either save them both or shatter her forever. . . .

"I owe you an apology, Avery. For everything."
I shake my head. "No, Nick. You owe me answers. I don't need an apology unless you can make me understand how you could do what you did. I need you to make me understand why."

One year after Paris, one year after the heartbreaking separation and the painful truth; Nick and Avery are back in New York.
Avery has started becoming a successful artist and Nick stays away from her.

Until it is time for both of them to have their closure.

Still in love. Still thinking about each other. Still try to forget their time together. Unsuccessful efforts to meet other people, to have a life separately.

It is time for Nick to meet his ghosts from the past, to explain to Avery the reasons that drove him to her. Like a moth to the light.

It seems that Nick has a few childhood secrets, too. And a few ugly surprises to reveal.

A few goodbyes to friends, to forgiven and not forgotten parents and the start of new common life for the couple.
There are two points of view that alternate each other. And the writing is superb as usual.

Note: I would love to know more about the lovestory of Lita Frasier (Avery's friend) and Derek Kingston.

Such a good ending. We finally learn about the demons that have been driving Nick from the very beginning. Avery still had to fight for it, but she seemed better equipped after that year apart. She seemed to come back on a more even playing field.

While I hate separations between a couple, I actually liked how this one was handled. Plus we don't actually go through the separation since book 3 jumps forward to current time. I'm a big fan of billionaire stories and this one rates high up in my favorites.

I did a re-read with the audiobooks. The narrator did such a good job that I highly recommend them. You also get a dual narration in this last book.

Wow! What a whirlwind it has been for Nick and Avery's relationship. From start to finish, they had to power through secrets, lies, and deceptions...only to come out even stronger in the end. This sensual and provocative romance had me absolutely HOOKED from the very start. While we were left on pins and needles at the end of FOR 100 NIGHTS, this third and final book in the series picked up right where Nick and Avery left off. After finding out the depth of Nick's deception and betrayal, Avery runs away with a completely BROKEN heart. No stranger to heartbreak, Avery pushes on and tries to live a life separate from the man she thought she knew. After a while, Nick and Avery are reunited, but she knows better than to melt back into Nick's arms, even though that was once the only place she felt truly safe. This is a time of redemption for Dominic Baine. No more secrets. No more lies. No more half-truths, and no more avoidance. How will these two come out in the end when EVERY SINGLE THING is laid out on the table?

"We will be drawn together like this always, even if it hurts. Even if it destroys us."

The sexy and suspenseful conclusion to Nick and Avery's story was FANTASTIC! Everything pulled together well, and their happily ever after was hard-fought and well deserved. The 100 Series was an all-consuming intense and sexy thrill ride. Full of passion, excitement, and fervor - FOR 100 REASONS was an INTENSE read cover to cover. Ever since Ms. Adrian started this journey with Avery and Nick, I was mesmerized and addicted to how it all would turn out. Not only did she do her unforgettable characters justice...she did her readers justice with this AMAZING conclusion.

FOR 100 REASONS is not a standalone. This series begins with FOR 100 DAYS, so make sure you grab your copy and begin Avery and Nick's sensual journey today!

FOR 100 REASONS is the third book in the For 100 series by Lara Adrian. This is a series that absolutely must be read in order as this is one continuing story. This book picks up where the last book finished after a betrayal. Despite everything that they have been through, Nick and Avery have separated but as you can expect, this is not the end of things.

Nick is particularly possessive in this book, so if you like that billionaire, possessive type than you will probably enjoy this book. There were times when he was a little over the top for my taste so that’s really my only complaint about this book. He very much stays within the billionaire stereotype and didn’t really surprise me in any way.

You can expect quite a lot of heartbreak and angst with this book. There’s a lot of pining for one another and a lot of rumination of their actions. Regret is a theme explored in this book so we see what ultimately matters the most for these two characters. Avery showed quite a lot of backbone in this book, which I liked. However, the author does water it down where she almost goes back and tries to take it back. I wished she stuck with it because having a heroine with a spine is definitely not a bad thing. Let the hero sweat a bit. He won’t die from it 😉

Well-written and emotional, the For 100 series is one of the better billionaire Erotic Romances that I’ve read. If you’re looking for something sexy and angsty, then this is one you definitely need to try.

Love Equals Success

Dominick Baine was afraid he had lost Avery forever when she left him in Paris, yet they meet again in New York. Nick can’t just let her go. He has suffered for his mistakes and he isn’t going to pass up his chance to fix this one.

Avery has become a success in the art world while they were apart, and she has enough of everything to stand on her own. Not that she ever really needed Nick for anything besides love, and she is afraid to face that again.

Nick and Avery find their happily ever after in this book. These were very spicy and beyond the romantic ideal for their relationship, but there are corners of darkness hidden within. Trigger warning regarding child abuse in this five star romance.

3.5 stars!

This book is the final in the 100 trilogy and the conclusion to Nick and Avery’s epic love story.

For two books, we have followed Nick and Avery through their passionate, all-consuming love affair – him, the determined alpha billionaire, and her, the struggling artist. They found something incredible together, and I was swept up in their super steamy romance and insatiable need for each other. But they both have demons from their past which continue to haunt them, and secrets were revealed at the end of the last book which changed everything and left us with a hideous cliffhanger.

I have been eagerly anticipating this book, which picks up pretty much where the last one left off, but this time giving us Nick’s POV in addition to Avery’s, and I love that! I love that we finally get to see what he’s thinking and feeling, and though I didn’t miss it in the earlier books, I think it added a lot to this story.

When I see something I desire, I don’t waste time waiting for it to land at my feet. I reach for it. I take what I want, by fair means or foul. And … when I caught my first glimpse of Avery Ross – what I wanted above anything else was her.

A miracle I never expected.
The angel I’ll do anything to deserve.

And while we do get taken back to that big moment, this book has a surprising twist that I wasn’t expecting, and it got the feels going right away. I won’t give any details because I don’t want to be spoilery, but suffice to say, I was sucked right back into Nick and Avery’s world and was frantically flipping pages to see how it was all going to turn out.

In spite of everything we’ve been through, there is still this. There will always be this. I know it as surely as I see the same truth reflected in his stormy blue eyes. We will be drawn together like this always, even if it hurts.
Even if it destroys us.

It’s not an easy road for Nick and Avery, by any means. Nick’s refusal to open up to Avery has always been an issue between them, but now that her life is laid out bare for him, if he wants any future between them, he needs to take that final step. It’s a battle for him, and as the truth is revealed, I can absolutely understand why. His past is dark and utterly heartbreaking, but his struggle to move forward is explored really well, and I really liked how it all unfolded.

“You’re a good man, Dominic Baine.”
“No. I’m not. But I want to be. For you.”
“You’re the only man I want. The only one I love.”

But it’s all about the romance, and that was the highlight of this book for me. Despite all that they go through, Nick and Avery’s passion is still very much alive, as is their all-consuming need for each other, and I was easily caught up in the steaminess and emotion. The sexy time is super-hot, but it’s not just sex, it’s an extension of all that they feel for each other, and the intensity of their love for each other is beautifully expressed with lots of sweet and swoony moments along with all of the hotness.

“I love you too,” I murmur against her lips. “With everything I am now and will ever be, Avery, I love you.”

I really enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, but it finishes off Nick and Avery’s story really nicely, leaving them in a really good place. And there may even be a hint there for a future story featuring Avery’s friend, Lita and a certain rock star? As always, I’ll be looking forward to whatever Lara Adrian has for us next.

3.5 stars.

Nick and Avery haven't had an easy go of things at all, we found out a few secrets about Avery in For 100 Days and For 100 Nights, but, in For 100 Reasons, we find out exactly what happened to Nick to make him the man he is today.
I enjoyed Nick and Avery's story, it definitely had me crying more than once. This was an emotional, sexy, HOT read, one that I think anyone that enjoys some angst in their stories will enjoy.

For 100 Reasons is the third book in Lara Adrian's erotic romance series and I'd definitely recommend reading these books in order! The story picks up about a year on from where things ended in For 100 Nights when Avery walked away from Nick in Paris after the revelations about the way he had manipulated her life. She's spent the last year focusing on her art and becoming a successful artist in her own right but she's never gotten over the way things ended with Nick, she hates what he did to her but there is a big part of her that misses him too. When they run into each other at a gallery event it's clear that the attraction between them still burns hot but can Avery learn to trust Nick again after everything he did to her?

I've really enjoyed this whole series so I'm kind of sad to say goodbye to Avery and Nick but I'm also very glad to see them finally figure things out and get their happily ever after. They've both made a lot of mistakes along the way and I appreciated the way they learned to forgive each other and both strove to be better in the future. They were willing to talk through their issues, although Nick still had a few things about his past that he wasn't quite ready to bring out into the open, and I loved that Avery stood up to Nick when he was too overbearing. She won't let any man walk all over her no matter how much she loves him and you have to respect her for that and the way she set ground rules before she considered giving Nick another chance. Nick realised the way he'd treated Avery was wrong and I think the fact that he'd stayed away because she asked him to showed a lot of growth of his character, the man she first met would have pursued her to the ends of the earth whether she wanted it or not but he's grown enough to realise that you can't treat people like a business deal and he learned to put Avery's happiness above his own.

Although this book wraps up Avery and Nick's story nicely I am wondering if we might get a story about Avery's friend Lita at some point, there were certainly hints at some interesting things going on between her and a certain rockstar turned CEO so I hope we get to see more of them. I'd quite like to find out more about artist Jared too! To be honest it doesn't matter what Lara Adrian writes next, she's a favourite author of mine and will always be on my auto-buy list.

4 unforgettable stars

I had the opportunity to read the previous instalments in this series and after that cliffhanger ending, I was anxious to find out what was to happen to Donumc and Avery. TTo pay that it left me on pins and needles would be an understatement since after everything that Amery had gone through in her life, as odd as their relationship may have been, it worked for them, making the bad moments not as important as the good ones.

4.5 sexy dreams

Quite honestly, I didn't know how Dominic would redeem erumsuf. Every single day that passed by that he didn't go after Avery, my heart broke for the woman who actually fell in love with the man who made her believe that he was the perfect man for her. I went through every emotion when I read this book and I didn't know what I wanted until Lara Adnan brought us their story. For sure I'll be revisiting this series in the future so I can read every single instalment in this series so I can experience it from one end to the next in one sitting.

This is the best of the 3 books. I love a sexy read and book 3 is sexy but there so much more story and character development in this last part.

Avery has really grown and was stronger which made her more interesting.

Nick, his still strong but there's more going on with him and even though his back story is painful, I appreciated seeing a vunreable side to him, it made him real.

I really liked how they came together in this book and I enjoyed their journey.

Ah well, if I was harsh in my judgement of the second book, then the lack of interest for book 3 will not go beyond the superficial somewhat immature behavior and reaction of the heroine... *sigh*

Well, if I recall every single thing that H did to ensure her safety, to help her, to lead her...sure, in a somewhat controlling and utterly possessive and overbearing demanding way, it was fine when it suited her BUT when the things come clear and are brought to the surfice giving her an out, she's suddenly 'offended' by the same 'controlling and demanding' way that used to turn her on...and she leaves him...

Ah well, all the groveling in this case, suddenly seemed totally pointless and unworthy on my attention.

And yeah, well, now the H has his highlight on the scene with bringing out his horrendous past of being abused and he finally finds peace in forgiveness and second chance in love.

Yes, it so reminded me of FSOG even though it wasn't even close to the franchise, except for the cliche-ed segments: tormented billionaire with a horrid past and the heroine that will eventually save him.

*sigh*

3.5 stars. Conclusion to this emotionally charged romantic series. Roller coaster ride of emotions in this read, romance, frustration, heartbreak over what evil sadistic people do to children! Both Avery and Nick have had a really hard life but both are survivors and both pull through the past with the help of love & heal each other! Read in order or get the box set!

This was quite slow and I found Avery more annoying in this one. They are apart a year, get together and then break up again. The ending of the book was good - the secrets of Nicks relationship with his father are revealed

FINAL DECISION:  I really wanted to love this book, but I found too many things that just bothered me about this couple and the story.  I'm willing to give it another chance by reading the trilogy as a whole, but the construction of the series with its multiple dramatic cliffhangers, just felt like too much running in place even as I enjoyed the overall arch of the story.

THE STORY:  In this third book in the trilogy about Nick and Avery, the two are apart after Avery finds out about Nick's deceptions.  Yet these two damaged people are drawn back together just as Avery is beginning to rebuild her life. Now there are even more secrets from the past that come back.  All must be resolved if these two have any possibility of moving forward.

OPINION:  This was a good ending to the series, but honestly, by the time these two get back together, I think I had had enough of their drama.  After all the drama and "betrayal" and anger that keeps the two apart for a year, they seem to get back together without much having been done.

I'm wondering if this series would feel better for me if I re-read it all at once.  Knowing that the cliffhangers between the books will happen, knowing that Nick and Avery will have a angsty, drama-filled, off and on, hot and cold relationship, I might like the entirety of the drama better.  I think the wait between the segments tired me somewhat of the drama (although I'm usually a great fan of angst filled, over the top stories).  For some reason, little things bugged me in this story.  "Enough already" I said a couple of times.  I don't believe you are really going to stay away and I don't really understand why a year had to pass before the action picks up here.

I liked so much of this story overall, but those little things just kept itching me, until I found that it was good, but not great.  I think the last half of this book is better than the first half, but one thing that kept bothering me is that it seemed that Avery becomes demanding that everything be done her way.  In some ways, it felt like Nick wasn't so much changed as neutered in parts of this book as he desperately tries to do what he can to hang onto Avery.  I do like men who have done wrong to grovel, but I still want them to be the strong, dominate men they are.  Just something about the formulation here bothered me.

WORTH MENTIONING:  This book has discussions of sexual abuse.

CONNECTED BOOKS:  For 100 Reasons is the third and final book in the 100 Reasons Trilogy.  This book should only be read as part of the trilogy since the books follow the relationship of one couple and thus depend upon the information in the prior books.

STAR RATING: I give this book 3 stars. This review was originally posted on Top10RomanceBooks.com

Lara Adrian wraps up her phenomenal 100 series with a story that I can only describe as stunning, captivating and beautifully written. I can honestly say that I absolutely loved this book, I wish I could give more than 5 stars because it deserves so much more. Yes it’s that good.

For 100 Reasons was a one sitting book for me. Once I started to read it, I got totally lost in the storyline. It felt like coming home. I have never hidden how much I love these books and adore the author. So it was not a big surprise that I loved this book. What I didn’t expect was to get so swept up in Avery and Nick again.

This story and these characters have become so special to me I am both sad and happy to see the trilogy end. The author has none an amazing job of bringing closure to a love story that brought together two broken souls and made it possible for them both to find happiness after the darkness they have both endured. Avery and Nick centre each other in a way that no one else ever could or will be able to, despite the lies and secrets that founded their relationship. It’s more than passion and chemistry for them, its finding the other half of your soul that not even distance and time can keep apart.

This book picks up straight after the life altering revelation of For 100 Nights and once again I was entranced with the story immediately. Seeing Avery and Nick fight the attraction that still burns was mesmerising. Seeing them give into it, scorching. Seeing them bust through the last of the walls between them with stunning revelation after revelation, heartbreaking. Seeing them defeat everything with a love so strong that it was unstoppable and unbreakable priceless.

I admit, there was more than once that I had to stop and wipe a tear away or have a deep breath because my heart was breaking for these characters. So much happens to bring Avery and Nick to their HEA, some good, some bad but all undeniably part of their story. But the ending makes everything totally worth it. Hello goofy grin and lots of happy sighs long after I finished because I keep thing about it. Hell the whole book, I can see an almighty book hangover in my immediate future because I’m not ready to let them go just yet.

Lara Adrian has once again proven that she can write across vastly different genres with ease, conquer them and a whole new legions of fans. It’s been a true delight to dive head first into this trilogy and I eagerly look forward to more of anything she writes. I’m a fan for life, what can I say?

For 100 Reasons
100 Series, Book 3

I Picked Up This Book Because: Continue the series

The Characters:

Dominic “Nick” Baine:
Avery Ross:

The Story:

I didn’t think their drama could get any deeper and man should Nick thank his lucky stars that Avery loves him. She should have walked away several times. If I had to pick a theme for this book it would be forgiveness because a lot of it goes on. New hurts, old wounds and all the scrapes and bruises in between.

I know when this series was originally planned it was going to be a trilogy but I wonder in the following years has Ms Adrian changed her mind or thought about expanding it. I would love to follow Nick and Avery in their next steps. I think the chances are slim though because we got a great ending to the trilogy and I’m happy to have read it all.

Writing: Very good.
Forward Motion: Perfect. I never felt a lull. (Lulls and filler are the worst)
Overall Interest: I was riveted
Length of Reading Time: Average
Re-read-ability: probably not

Not too shabby a conclusion (? - there is another book coming out in 2025 per the author's website) for this series. There is a lot of miscommunication in the form of withholding true feelings and assuming the other person knows how their counterpart is feeling. A lot of the time Avery and Nick (mostly Avery though, lets be honest) act like they're in fucking high school instead of grown ass adults. This almost read like a slow burn, since they aren't back together in a physical sense until like 35% of the way book. But when Nick and Avery are together holy shit is their chemistry great. The amount of spice was dialed way back in this book in comparison to the first two books in the series, only like a 2.5/5 on the scale that I've made up in my head.

This book starts off on the heels of the most abrupt and long third-act breakup ever. I'm really not sure why Avery is so damn adamant that she can't be with Nick because of the lies he's told and secrecy he's kept behind the reason why they really got together. She herself started their relationship off on lies, not that he didn't know that they were lies and was giving her time to come clean, but still ... she lied. You'd think she'd have a little more grace regarding HIS lying given her own history. After the first chapter where we see Nick's POV when Avery decides to ditch him in France, there's a YEAR long hiatus between the two. The gasp I gusped was intense. A year!?
Avery being upset that Nick gave her the space that SHE demanded and didn't try to "fight for her" or coming after her to try and make her understand why he had done what he did is so fucking shitty of her. You told him that you were done, you didn't want anything to do with him and left him in Paris. And a year later, you have the audacity to be upset that he didn't come after you and severed ties so easily?! You either want to be with him or you don't. You don't get to be upset with the man for giving you what you fucking asked for. The mind games are fucking ridiculous.

I think that Avery uses her and Nick's relationship as a constant ultimatum. "Do this or I'll leave you," "Tell me the truth, or I'll leave you." If I were Nick I would be pissed off that she's constantly making demands about me bettering myself, or demanding that he change in some way and believes him to be the only problem in their relationship. Whose to say he wasn't going to give you what you wanted with time? I just think it's really shitty of her to constantly continue to put the blame on Nick for her perceived relationship issues and not be any kind of introspective. Relationships are a two way street and both parties need to give of themselves equally.
Then there's the whole issue regarding Nick's past and his most traumatic memories. She wants him to tell her all about them, but those are his darkest parts and MAYBE he isn't ready to come out and spill his guts just yet. I feel like with time he might have. But no, Avery needed to know right now. Their relationship is on her terms.
The thing I hated the most though was that Avery makes Nick go to Florida to see his dad; claiming that they can't move forward in their relationship until Nick gets closure with his dad. It's pretty fucking clear in the later parts of this book that Nick has some fucked up baggage when it comes to his dad. So essentially forcing him to go and see the dying asshole and using their relationship as leverage ... again. Avery seems to be the more fucked up of the two if you ask me. And while the end results are good for Nick and he does eventually get "closure" with his dad, her pushing was an overstep on her part. If I were Nick, I don't think that I would be able to forgive Avery for using their relationship as a manipulation tactic.
Even though I did get frustrated with the back and forth of them getting along and working through their shit and then oscillating to them arguing and Avery "needing more" from Nick; I still liked the book and don't regret reading the book or the series for that matter. It was a fairly decent contemporary romance and I enjoyed reading them. I will also likely be reading "For 100 Forevers" when it comes out, even though I'm sure Avery is going to irritate me for an another entire book.

When we last Nick and Avery things seemed dismal. Avery discovered his betrayal and left, wanting nothing to do with him. Nick faces, for maybe the first time ever, the possibility of not being able to have the one thing he wants more than anything. This is a shattering prospect for the man used to getting everything he wants. Avery, on the other hand, is taking her pain and loss and channelling it to make herself stronger and more talented.

This part of the series is all about Nick making amends and Avery finding her strength. It was pretty obvious from book one that Nick and Avery were destined for an explosive and all consuming love that would have fall out. I worried slightly Nick would not be able to find his way out of his past and the secrets he kept, but Adrian manages to give us a satisfying ending. I have been drawn to Nick and Avery from page one and Their story is definitely a memorable to will make its way into my top couples list. This was the perfect ending for this dynamic pair and I feel fortunate to have been along for their wild and crazy ride.

Nick and Avery were a trainwreck waiting to happen. Explosive chemistry, obsessive behavior, fatal secrets and dangerous enemies lingered around every corner just waiting to implode. She was his greatest obsession. He was her biggest weakness. But will addictive behavior and manipulations be enough to save this convoluted attempt at love? From day one, Ms. Adrian took readers through the storm. Dark souls, broken hearts and dangerous liaisons added to the allure of this almost tragic story. For 100 Reasons is a swan song to a couple that is as damaged as they are courageous. The path to healing is more than admitting to mistakes. It's having the power to forgive oneself and learn from those mistakes. That's the best lesson to take away from the 100 series.

With this book it seemed like Dominic and Avery had to rebuild things. First off they had to find a way back to each other, which you knew they would. Once their relationship was established again they seemed to take things a bit more slower and actually talked about the important things. I liked that Dominic let Avery into the bad parts of his life. It helped when Avery pushed Dominic at the end, it was the right thing for Dominic, to be able to settle his past. I liked how things ended for him, it gave him the clear path for his and Avery's future.

Somehow I only realized last week that the 3rd book in the series was released about 3 years ago. Naturally, I reread the other two before this reading this one. I thought it was good but I thought Avery should have at least listened to Dominic's side of the story before the time-jump. She has withheld stuff from him as well things that almost got Nick killed.

Learning about what happened to Nick as a child broke my heart.

I still love Avery and Dominic together. I think they're an excellent match and super compatible. The romance between them was scorching.

I thought this wrapped up the series nicely. It as awful what both Nick and Avery went through. Was glad that they got their HEAs.

My issue with this one was the the male narrator. I thought he did a great job with the male voice but his female voices, especially the one for Avery REALLY left a lot to be desired. Not a fan. It took some of the enjoyment out of the story for me.

Not a fan of books split into parts and this one is no different.
This should’ve been one book especially given all the monotonous and repeatable internal dialogue. No dual POV until the 3rd part. Trigger worthy narrative included.

Skimmed through to the finish as plot mildly interesting. Might read the next in the series since secondary characters peeked interest and it’s a whole book.
