Almost one of my favorite Pinkwater books. Great message but quirky and not at all sentimental.

Daniel Pinkwater is fast becoming one of my favorite authors of children's lit. Mason Mintz is a great role model for kids, he makes being-a-little-strange look very desirable.
Doodle Flute shows kids that there's more important things than owning cool stuff.

A good story about the importance of friendship over the accumulation of stuff.

I liked this one, but Harrison LOVED it. Wanted me to read it over and over and over. And over.
