She's a virgin. I'm the boss. It's all kinds of wrong but it feels so right...
I work hard, play harder, and never settle for anything but the best. I haven't made billions by taking shortcuts. If you're not at the top of your field, don't bother to apply.
Unless you're her.
Erin White had the worst interview in company history. She stumbled over every question. Agonized over every answer.
I hired her anyway.
Underneath the mass of insecurities is a brilliant young woman. And I'm obsessed with her. I want her by my side in my boardroom.
And my bedroom.
I never back down from a challenge--I'll get her past this. My coaching methods are... unusual. Intimate. I tease her, dare her, entice her, and get her so damned focused on me that her panic recedes. How? By whispering filthy things in her ear. Trailing my fingers over her luscious curves. Demanding her obedience.
And it works. Our training sessions go from mild to wild. And as Erin's confidence grows, I only want more. My company may need her brilliant mind, but I need all of her, so I push harder.
Restraint's not my strong suit. But if I push her too far, too fast, I'll lose her.

I met the writer at our last lunch with Les Romantiques and I wanted to read her books as I liked some plot I read. I picked this one and I liked it very much. It was very funny and sensual and I liked the characters very much.
Playboy Boss, (formerly titled "Mr. Right Touch"), Book 2 of the Finding Mr. Right series, was about Seth Spencer, CEO of Seth Spencer Technologies (AKA Seth-Tech), and Erin White, personal assistant to Seth Spencer. Side Note: Like its predecessor, this book had a massive amount of grammatical errors: words left out, the wrong word used in the wrong place, words misspelled, etc. It was completely distracting as well as annoying. At one point, I was ready to put the book down and not finish it. The only thing that stopped me from doing that is the fact that I detest not finishing a story, for any reason. There are only a handful or two that I've treated that way, and I don't like to add to that pile if I don't have to. Erin, freshly graduated from college, was hoping to be hired as a copywriter at Seth's company. However, she stumbled and bumbled her way through the interview, to the point that Justine, who was the head of HR, Seth, and his business partner (and 'right-hand man"), Brad Evans, had a "good laugh" as they met afterward. Before leaving though, Justine held out a letter that she said Erin had asked her to give to Seth, which he sat there and read. As they were all preparing to leave, Seth told Justine to get Erin back to the office as fast as she could. While he waited for Erin to arrive back at his office, Seth told Brad that he wasn't going to hire her as a junior copywriter, but as his personal assistant instead. Brad tried to convince him that she wasn't suited for the job, and Seth offered to bet him that he would have her ready for the position within three weeks, in time for the annual shareholders' meeting. Brad bet $10,000, but Seth said too low and counter-offered. Brad refused and then bet him $20,000. The bet was accepted. (Sound familiar? A higher-priced version of "My Fair Lady" perhaps? Can you see the fall-out coming already?) After being hired, Erin admitted to Seth that as a child she had been prone to stuttering and that she'd had to see speech therapists to overcome it. That was the reason she was a bad public speaker and always messed up when being interviewed for a job or talking in crowds. One-on-one, she was fine with, but to put her out front where she was the center of attention and she'd fall flat on her face...verbally. When he told her that she would, indeed, be speaking in public, she told him she'd have to decline the job, but he wouldn't allow her to. In fact, he all but bullied her into keeping the position. He wasn't above using sexual teasing to get Erin to do whatever he wanted and use it he did. If Seth didn't think she was performing the way wanted, if she was succumbing to her fear and anxiety instead of practicing speaking, he would find a way to sexually manipulate her into improving her ability in public speaking. The more he teased her, the better Erin got at her speaking. However, he always managed to halt things before they went too far, so there was never any "going all the way" between them. And it was working. She managed to pitch a presentation in front of a few people at the office. But then Justine told her about the shareholder's meeting and that she would be making a presentation during it When she confronted Seth, he confirmed it and said she would be speaking in front of no less than one hundred people. He managed to calm her fears and convinced her she'd be fine...until the meeting came and Brad spilled the beans about the bet he'd lost to Seth, causing Erin to believe that it had all been just a game to Seth. She realized he didn't consider her to be anything more than a challenge, a puzzle to be solved, to prove to himself no task was too great for him to conquer. Unfortunately, the revelation had a horrible effect on Erin...she began to stutter for the first time in ten years. This story had such potential, but there were so many things that kept it from being a great novel. First was all of the grammatical errors. Someone reading this might think that English wasn't the author's first language. It was that awful. Second was the immaturity of the MMC. For someone who was supposed to be 27 and the CEO of his own company, the guy was a first-class A$$h*le. He wasn't above pushing people beyond their limits and out of their comfort zones just to win a bet or to prove to himself he could best everyone and everything that got in his way. The emotions of the book were off as well. The angst was out of proportion, the drama was too weak when it should have been stronger, and the chemistry between the two main characters was ghastly and virtually non-existent. Anger and disappointment were the only emotions that were at the levels one would expect for such a betrayal. There wasn't a true HEA since neither of them mentioned loving the other. Oh, they might eventually get there, but they just never said the "L" word to each other. But even if they had? It wasn't shown in their actions toward each other. It was just...blah. There were no spicey moments other than a kiss or two. The characters weren't all that strong either. Well, Erin was actually the strongest, then would be Brad. I didn't care for Justine because she was just petty and spiteful. As for Seth? He didn't make a very good main male character, and he definitely wasn't the best example of a "hero" that an author could present to her readers. He was a selfish, self-centered prick who, for the most part, only cared about proving to himself and others that he was unstoppable and almost immortal, virtually above all mankind. What an egotistical b*st*rd. He didn't quite redeem himself This book didn't merit a five-star rating. In fact, it barely earned a two-star rating. I hate being disappointed with a book that had held such promise, only to fall flat on its face.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Erin has a really big interview today. She is incredibly nervous....more so than most people. She has major anxiety and is unable to control that anxiety. This has been how she has lived for as long as she can remember. She is at Seth-Tech now for the interview, but is stopped by a crowd of people and the "show" going on. She is handed a rose by Seth (well actually through a robot he created) but still from him and she has secretly had the hots for him forever. This is sweet and Erin is thrown off a little bit by this. Now to that interview.
Seth sees this pretty woman in the audience, and trying to draw her in a bit so he can see her better he delivers a rose to her. He doesn't know she is here for the interview into his company, he just knows he is drawn to her for some reason. When the HR person, his BFF and right hand man and himself sitting in his office talking about a horrible interview the HR woman endured. She hands him an envelope saying that the girl she interviewed asked her to give it to him. After reading it, he hires the girl on the spot, sight unseen....why?
Seth finds out a little bit about why the interview went so horribly wrong, and before she was able to dry her eyes in the bathroom in the lobby of Seth-Tech, the HR woman is announcing she is coming to get Erin and take her to meet her new boss. Seth is a go-getter, arrogant, gadget techie and the fact that the woman who wrote that note to him (knowing she would not do well in her interview) gets more about him and his company did not fall short. Now he is making a bet with his BFF about her anxiety with public speaking/interviews.
Erin and Seth work well together, and he is "training" her daily in regards to her fear of public speaking. He knows she has it in her, she fights and panics about it at every turn, but something happens during this private time together. Something good, something freeing for both of them, something fun and unexpected. Until Erin finds out that there was a bet, from the BFF. It was not meant in harm and the bet actually was something Seth made on the day he hired Erin but has totally forgotten about. Erin quits, and tells Seth why and allows her hurt feelings to get the best of her.
Erin goes to visit Nana (Seth's Grandmother) and finds her being mistreated in the independent living center she is at, and Erin without thinking without anything jumps in and saves the day. Seth was already there, but hearing Erin and the no mercy, grace under fire way she is handling things, stays in the shadows and lets her go and win the battle. He is there to pick up his Nana at the very time Erin is wheeling her out of the place. Secrets come to light and their feelings come to light also.
All the fun and games, the fun and helpful way Seth and Erin work with each other and their happy ending is a journey you will not want to miss.
I received an Advance Reader Copy for Playboy Boss written by Sophie Brooks & Cassie Marks and voluntarily reviewed this book. Seth Spencer, CEO of "Seth-Tech," was floored when he read the perfectly worded letter that had accompanied the last interviewee for the junior copywriter position at their company. It was definitely a person whom he wanted on his team. And, when he realized it was the woman he had signaled out earlier during his presentation, he was thrilled it was her.
Recently graduated and jobless, Erin White knew her strengths going into that interview. The main ones were writing and marketing. Public speaking was NOT. Unfortunately, she really bombed that interview, having uncomprehendingly cited more weaknesses than strengths to sell herself for the job. So, Erin just couldn't believe her utter luck at being hauled back to the scene of the crime in order to speak to Seth the tech god himself. Except that she was not offered the position she had interviewed for...it was a personal assistant position to Seth, and it will unavoidably involve speaking to the public!
Seth, recognizing that Erin had just this one major block to becoming an amazingly successful employee, sets about training her in public speaking the only way a playboy billionaire does...with a "hands on" approach! He is confident he could do this, as he can't back down from challenges, and wagers with his partner that he can draw her out of her shell in time for a major conference scheduled in three week's time.
Things go so well that even Erin is lured into feeling capable of delivering a presentation, but then something happens to shatter her newfound confidence and she crashes. What will happen now, just when things were becoming less "business" and more "personal" with Seth?
A refreshingly enjoyable story, with Seth's unique tech-based as well as sexy/confident-playboy wooing from the start of the book until the end! I am looking forward to seeing what these two authors come up with next!
Sophie Brooks & Cassie Marks: Perfect Collaboration!
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book, Playboy Boss by Sophie Brooks & Cassie Marks.
This book is positively brilliant. I fell in likes a lot from reading the book's blurb then it grew to I think I love this book at the beginning to I seriously LOVE THIS BOOK, by the end. I already was a fan of Sophie's, I had never read anything by Cassie Marks before now, but I really hope Sophie & Cassie keep writing together, cuz they make romance magic together. Plus, I'm gonna look for other books written just by Cassie.
Erin has wanted to work at Seth-Tech for years and now she has an interview with them. Problem though. Erin is terrified of public speaking and interviews seem to fall into that category for her. Well, she blows the interview but somehow still manages to get a job, as the CEO's PA. Seth, the CEO, knew he had to hire Erin, no question about it. Erin isn't sure she wants the job when she learns it requires public speaking, even though Seth promises to work with her to get over her fear. Seth does work with Erin to gain control of her fear but he uses some extremely unorthodox methods, which shockingly actually help. Things are going so well, Erin is able to do a public speaking presentation even, but then she learns a devastating secret that Seth was hiding from her and her heart is broken into a million pieces. Can she forgive Seth? Can he possibly make it up to her or has the damage been irreparable?
Ok so this book starts off as a SHOCKING panty melter. Panty twister/ wetter/ creamer but then.. crashes into the Atlantic Ocean. So I now see (this being my second Sophie Brooks book) that these are some light, fun reads but the flow is pretty choppy both times.
So Seth owns and runs a tech company and he's seriously the most unconventional, bordering to pretty-damn-weird boss to Erin who is a total goner when it comes to putting a sentence together. She's failed her interview but gets hired anyways.
My problem was with this guy Seth. Like there really should be a limit to how much and how many buttons a total stranger should be allowed to push for you. I really didn't see anything so phenomenally wrong with Erin working where she wanted to work as opposed to be hired to do something that's clearly not cut out for her aka public speaking.
The extremely unconventional methods of distracting her so she could become some great public speaker (again not needed) for the company were debasing for me. I didn't see any fun in them or feel like Erin was treated respectfully. Umm spanking... By your new boss for speaking to the board.
Weird plot. And by the end it all comes together with Seth telling Erin how he missed her and this and that and that's all there is to the HEA. No marriage..no kids..no promises of tomorrow.
Don't think I'd trust Seth as a bf if that's how he feels ok to be with someone (eg a new hire).
Sophie Brooks is one of my favorite authors. Even with the collaboration, the storyline and characterization is amazing! Erin has public speaking phobia. It’s so bad that she bombed her own interview. Then comes arrogant, cocky, playboy Seth who makes a bet to turn this shy, nervous, PA into the best public speaker. His methods are...unconventional to say the least (and we know that shit WILL NOT fly on the real world), but the sessions bring them closer together.
I love their playful banter and how Seth sees Erin for who she really is: someone bright, passionate, a visionary...someone like him. Seth is charming, but cocky as hell, yet confident, sexy, delicious, yummy...okay I’m going off track here, but he’s that kind of person.
What I love about the Brooks’ style is there is a smooth pace, a natural build up. She doesn’t completely rush into the characters falling in love, knocking it up, as most romances do, she takes her time for the characters to know each other. The dual POVs are nothing short of amazing and the climatic part, s bit overdramatic, but given Erin’s situation it makes sense. Brooks didn’t fail me and I think this is the third book (or fourth) I read from her. Seriously recommend this one too!!
I effin loved this book!! Let's start by saying that Seth Spencer is my new book boyfriend. He's smart, funny, arrogant, cocky, rich, and hot. All that and he's still a nice guy with his very own successful company. Enter Erin, a young, head strong woman who wants nothing more than to get her foot in the door at Seth-Tech. She's had a serious crush on Seth since he came on the scene four years ago, but she just wants to work for his company, at least. She's a good writer but speaking in certain situations as always been a severe problem for her. She just knows she's going to fail the interview she landed for Seth-Tech. Or does she? Seth takes an interest in her and wants to make sure she can do what he needs her to do. He has unusual techniques to help her overcome her fear and things start to blossom between them. This book doesn't have a lot of sex but it's still great without it! There is heat, love, and a bet. I enjoyed every page and absolutely loved the ending!! I saw it coming a mile away, but I still was thrilled for their HEA. I highly recommend this book! I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book.
Awesome technology millionaire romance. Seth started his company years ago during to his love of technology even as a child. His company develops some of the best technological toys ever developed. During a hiring process he hears about a young woman, Erin, who has extreme difficulty with public speaking. Even before meeting her he was intrigued but knowing she wouldn't get the position she wrote a note to Seth explaining what she sees his company could do. Unfortunately, the public speaking is an issue so he decides to utilize his own techniques. They work well together even better than expected. Erin is gaining confidence until she finds out Seth had a bet with his best friend regarding her speaking and everything starts unravelling. I really enjoyed this book. The author used humor but tackled an issue that affects many individuals in all walks of life. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by Ms. Brooke in the future.
This is a very light hearted office romance with no explicit scenes. There's times of fun and times of seriousness and you are rooting for Erin to come out on top. She is not very good at public speaking and wants a job at SethTech which is a very popular company with a sexy owner. Seth takes life with a grain of salt and probably will never grow up completely. When Erin bombs her interview she is very upset until Seth reads a letter that she wrote to him and wants her to be a part of his team. With her shyness she is not very good at public speaking, she stutters, talks too much and has panic attacks. Can Seth help her get past her fears? Is there more to their stories? Can you fall in love with someone before you even meet? Like I said, this book is very light. I like Sophie Brooks and her writing, editing of course was a little bit of an issue but when you read as many books as I do in a week I can look past that when writing my reviews. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
Erin is that smart, capable all-around awesome women; the problem is she is not great with public speaking. Wanting to work for the up and coming tech company that she greatly admired Seth-tech, she finally gets up the nerve for her interview, even though she blew it, Seth Founder and masterminded Playboy sees from her writings and resume she is perfect for the company. He just needs to tweak her speaking habits-- and tweak he will.. his unorthodox methods turn out to be just what the reserved Erin needs, now things are progressing in more ways than just speech. Is Seth still running playboy tricks? Is Erin ready to give the company and Seth all she's got? What a fun, hot enduring story, with a twist! Sophie Brooks and Cassie Marks made a dynamic duo in this fast paced detailed read. Kept my interest peaked til the absolute end, and I am looking forward to reading Devon and Nicole's Story next! P.S I loved the epilogue!! I voluntarily read an advanced readers copy of this book
This was quite a unique storyline about Erin White, a recent college graduate who bombs her interview at Seth Spencer Technologies, but it is her personal letter to the tech company’s CEO, 27 year old Seth, that gets her a second chance for a job. He’s an a handsome, overgrown man child with uncanny success in inventing games and a love for a challenge, that being helping Erin overcome her absolutely terrifying inability for public speaking. The two develop an attraction as he begins his unorthodox training sessions after he hires her to be his PA. There’s an irresistible chemistry between Erin and Seth, the man she has admired and had a secret crush on for several years and to her amazement, he’s drawn to her. There are some very likable secondary characters like his Nana and his BFF, Brad who he has known since college that add sweetness and laughs. This book was an enjoyable read.
This is a unique and inventive (pun intended!) spin on the typical boss/assistant romance. Erin is everything Seth didn't know he was looking for in an assistant, until he read her letter explaining her insights and vision for his company. Erin, desperate to work for Seth's company, takes the position even though it requires her doing the one thing she knows she can't do - public speaking. But she didn't count on Seth! His determination to work with her and move her beyond her fears and insecurities is priceless! His gentle - and not-so-gentle - coaching for her really does the trick, and that's when things really start to heat up. This is not your usual love story, and that makes it better than most. It was a lot of fun to read, great dialogue and well-developed characters, and it's an easy book to recommend. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.
A great read about a billionaire, Seth, who owns his own company and the new hire, Erin, who he hires after she bombs her interview but had a letter for him. He hires her as his PA and wants to get her comfortable to speak to large crowds due to a bet he made with his best friend Brad. During the weeks of "training" to be able to do a presentation they grow closer and closer until the big day arrives and Erin hears some disturbing news. Will she do the presentation? Will she get stage fright again? A great read that I enjoyed which was focused on the two as they get closer. I also enjoyed Seth's very playful side and how he tried to get Erin comfortable in front of a podium. It wasn't what I expected especially what happened during and after the Vegas trip but that's a good thing and why I though it was a great read. *I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book*
Billionaire Seth Spencer is one of the hottest tech company owners, his company makes high end tech toys adored by all, and everyone wants to work for Seth-Tech, including Erin White.
When Erin applies for a job with Seth-Tech she’s certain she blows it in her interview until Seth himself calls her back. He wants her to work for him as his PA and in return he’s going to help her deal with her extreme fear of public speaking.
The more time Seth and Erin spend together, as well as Seth’s unusual yet effective training methods, the two become closer... but when Erin finds out Seth made a bet with his friend over her it could mark the end of the slow burning attraction they feel towards each other.
I liked this story, it was sweet and the characters were engaging. Well worth the read IMO.
If you thought all Billionair's storyline were the same You are definitely in for a surprise with this one. Erin has trouble speaking in public or when she gets very nervous she went for a job at Seth company and she blow it big time but before she left she gave a letter to the person who was doing the interview and asked her to give the letter to her boss. This is where this story catches your attention and keeps it you will not be able to stop turning the pages until the end of the book because you are going to want to find out if Seth helps Erin get over her troubles with speaking in public. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes slow burn intense reads. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
This story is about Seth and Erin and is so sweet! Seth is the head of a billion dollar tech firm and loves to be a kid. Erin is fresh from college and her only dream is to work for Seth's company. When he learns of her debilitating public speaking fear he takes her under his wing to try and help in some of the most unconventional ways. Ways sure to get the heart pumping and blood moving. Super sweet romance of these two coming together and an HEA. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copyof this book. Hero, Seth = 5/5 Heroine, Erin = 5/5 Chemistry = 5/5 Sex = 3/5 Plot = 2/5 Mystery = 1/5 Action = 1/5 Darkness = 1/5 Humor = 4/5 POV = dual Would I recommend this book = yes Would I re-read this book = yes Would I read future books by this author = yes
This book was awesome. I loved how playful Seth was yet so caring. Eric was so sweet and innocent bringing out the side of Seth rarely seen. They were so good for each other. Characters were well written and very likeable. I love how Sophie's books give the H/h relationship time to develop and not rush right into sex. To see how patient Seth was with Erin, helping her get through her fear was so genuine. How could they not fall in love. All the tech stuff was so fun. This book also had some well timed comedy just in case the romance wasn't enough.
Love Sophie Brooks and I voluntarily read this Advanced Reader Copy with an eye toward substance. I found it to be highly entertaining since it all started with a royally terrible interview and a letter that changed it all. However, a bet was made that the CEO could turn this insecure employee into someone she never believed she would ever be. Loved the characters and appreciated that though the heat level didn’t overtake the story plot.
Straight up story without a lot of profanity or explicit sexual content and could recommend for under 18 though the impression from the blurb led to more than was shown. Kudos once again for Brooks!
Erin and Seth are good together. Seth is an overgrown kid who likes to play and Erin is the responsible one. She has a crippling fear of public speaking and Seth challenges Erin to bring her out of her shell and she, in turn, keeps him balanced. The chemistry between them is hot. There is a lot of foreplay and only one sex scene. Most of the book is him helping her overcome her fear of public speaking by "distracting" her and doing inappropriate things. I liked how he always had a joke or a smart remark ready in any situation. Overall, I liked the book. There is a HEA with no cliffhanger.
I loved this book. Erin is a wonderful character in this book. She has trouble giving speeches and it shows when she goes for an interview at Seth-Tech and tanks it. So when Seth receives a letter from Erin via the human resources woman and with that letter, Seth has to hire her. Seth promises he can help Erin with her public speech problems but she has to give a speech about a tech project in front of the board. Needless to say, anticipation is all in the game. This is such a great book, couldn't put it down. I voluntarily read an advance reader copy for my honest review.
There is nothing sexier than a man who can make you laugh who happens to be a hunk. This book was outstanding - I so love a boss office romance. The way this was written was with creative flair, and from an author who truly understood the true art of slow seduction, building up to the final act. I love Seth he is charismatic, sexy, cheeky & quick witted. Erin is self conscious, quietly intelligent but just needs someone to believe in her. This duo is reading ecstasy! For sassy and sexy fun this story is unrivalled
This was a very clever book. It is a first pairing of these authors and have shown that they work well together. A young, shy, and definitely not a public speaker, Erin and an egotistical, "live for the fun" Seth have a very different romance. One or both of the authors have a vivid imagination, which makes a book I would recommend!
I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader Copy and wrote an honest review.
Seth was a successful ceo but loved having fun. Erin was a young lady who liked to be comfortable. After a letter was written Seth took a chance on Erin. Even though the general story line is familiar, the book took on a delightful turn with all the humour injected into it. It was light hearted, at times comical but super romantic. Thanks Sophie I truly enjoyed reading this story
This is a fun, entertaining and sweet read. Seth is the billionaire owner of a tech company. Erin is looking for a job where she can write as she has a fear of public speaking. Erin has a horrible interview but writes Seth a letter that changes everything. The chemistry between Erin and Seth is fun and with a little steam. I really liked it.
Good story line . First time reading Sophie Brooks will not be the last. I always love a strong male character and this story came with one. Would highly recommend. The additional story included was hot hot hot. Who knew that working as a chef could be so much fun. Never knew a kitchen would be that hot.
No real strife or drama, well maybe a little, just straight up naughty boss/employee relations. In reality there should be lawsuits.. lol but it's not forced, just naughty. Hes pretty sexy, she seems pretty cute, this author writes really well, not a disappointing read at all.
2nd billionaire novel from Sophie Brooks that I have read! It's just as good of a girl worships boss, boss is great guy helps out girl REAL fun things happen between them the big misunderstanding and the big over the top reunion! this story reads well and is completely entertaining! great read!
