Wallpaper From Space

Rate this book
Steve hadn't liked it when his mom had started changing everything at home. She had gotten rid of his table and chair, and hadn't even asked him if he wanted his bathroom stool. But the new spaceship wallpaper in Steve's room was...well, fantastic. When Steve went to bed that night, he found out just how fantastic it was. Another riotous ride through the heavens, piloted by veteran space captain Daniel Pinkwater, and his trusty co-pilot, Jill.

Pull quote/note
"'If you could have any kind of wallpaper in the world, what would it be?'
'Lions,' Steve said. 'Lions eating people.'
'I'm pretty sure they don't have wallpaper with lions eating people,' his mother said. 'What would be your second choice?'
'Crocodiles eating people.'
'They don't have that either.'
'Cannibals eating people?'
'Steve, they just don't make wallpaper with people getting eaten. It isn't a popular idea.'" (6)

Wasn't much story to it, but on the other hand it is a picture book for children. It could be said to have a message of accepting change, and it was really weird and funny how the spacemice kept coming up with weird doo-wop songs about Steve

If you always wanted to know what happened to the spacemouse explorer mountaineer toboggan team and you like sing-a-longs with nonsensical lyrics then this is the book for you.
Loved it!
