The leader of the rainforest people (The Captain - Cassowary) was greatly troubled by the damage caused to their home and the plight of his missing friends and became withdrawn to the point of being ill. With the help of the old and wise one, the rainforest people were able to show their leader that their home was recovering with the appearance of regrowth. The Captain was grateful for the concern of his friends and soon recovered his composure.
