NICOLAS ORTNER is the CEO of The Tapping Solution, a company with a mission to bring simple, effective, natural healing into the mainstream with the Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) or “tapping.” Tapping is a healing modality based on ancient Chinese acupressure and modern psychology.

Nick’s goal is to empower people to create healthy, financially abundant and stress-free lives through his books, films, CDs, online events and speaking engagements attended by participants from all over the world.

His bestselling book, “The Tapping Solution: A Revolutionary System for Stress-Free Living,” was published by Hay House in 2013. Prior to that, Nick created and produced
the breakthrough documentary film, "The Tapping Solution,” which follows ten people who used tapping to overcome tremendous challenges, such as 30 years of chronic back pain, fibromyalgia, insomnia, devastating grief and more. Both Nick’s book and film document real and extraordinary results that have inspired tens of thousands to follow suit by successfully applying tapping to their lives.

Nick has also produced first-of-their kind online programs that teach easy, effective ways to apply tapping to anything limiting a person’s life or health. Some noteworthy examples are: The “Tapping World Summit,” a free, worldwide online event that just celebrated its fifth successful season and has been attended by over 500,000 people (www.tappingworldsummit.com); the “Tapping Insiders Club,” a monthly membership program filled with articles, interviews, and videos with experts from the tapping field (www.tappinginsidersclub.com); and Nick’s popular seven-week EFT coaching programs, which cover common issues such as finances, weight loss and more.

A dynamic speaker, Nick has presented breakthrough live tapping sessions and
has shared the stage with speakers such as Wayne Dyer, Louise Hay, Jack Canfield, Bob Proctor, Lynne McTaggart, Dr. Joseph Mercola, and others.

Nick and the Tapping Solution team are committed to spreading tapping
throughout the world, and particularly to supporting its revolutionary and world-changing
usage. They’ve raised over $250,000 for tapping-related charities such
as ProjectLight: Rwanda, which aids genocide victims in that country (http://projectlightrwanda.com/), The Veterans Stress Project, for veterans with PTSD
(http://www.stressproject.org/), and You Can Thrive! for women with cancer
(http://youcanthrive.org/). In 2013, Nick created The Tapping Solution Foundation, which has already raised over $100,000 for charitable work in Newtown, CT to support the community after the tragic shootings at the Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Nick lives in Newtown, CT with his wife, Brenna and is already working on his next book.

To be frank, I read/skimmed other books about tapping by Nick and Julie Ortner and didn't care for them - their branding doesn't particularly resonate with me. I'm super glad I gave them another try with "The Tapping Solution for Manifesting Your Greatest Self." Its been a great introduction for putting EFT into regular practice. The valuable information in this book would have been easy to pass by - by literally judging a book by its cover.

To be fair, I learned about EFT a couple of years ago as a possible tool for trauma/PTSD recovery, I tried it a few times, found it to be very effective and then completely resisted using it 😬😄 yay, healing isn't linear! 🙂🙃 we're ready when we are ready, right?

I'm glad I came back around and reached a point in my healing process where I was finally ready to use this tool. Nick Ortner's book has been a gentle, informative, accessible introduction to this process. I'm super glad I picked up this book - its helped ease me through my resistance, supported me in feeling safe exploring a new tool, and given me a script format that I am now familiar with and can adapt to my own use. Most importantly, I appreciate that the author advises using EFT with the support of a professional if working through trauma. The book has a "21 day" format, but I am working through at my own pace. Its proving effective at reducing anxiety, triggers, and relieving emotionally charged memories. I've even used the "movie projector" or storytelling technique to tap and clear imprints from movies/news/media that were particularly disturbing and "stuck" with me.

If you are ready to begin using EFT on a regular basis, this is a great introduction.

3.5 stars. I am a huge fan of EFT/tapping; it has made an enormous difference in my life. This book is a good intro to anyone who wants to learn about tapping. I recommend it in audiobook form; It is easier to start tapping when you have an audio guide.

This book ultimately helped me be able to really establish tapping as a habit and give me daily consistency, which has made a big difference for me.

The best part was the first week IMO. I would advise people to exercise caution in the 2nd week (especially days 10-13), as it talks and runs through tapping some traumas and past hurts. I had to skip the meditations and just do the chapter itself because I think it is safer to do that level of depth of work with a therapist who does EFT, brainspotting, EMDR, etc. And the last day/chapter was a little too woo-woo about “enlightenment” for my taste.

I would never have picked up the book based on the cover. The gimmicky title and cheesy smile reeked of prosperity gospel pastors to me. But I love Nick Ortner’s work, so I knew that I would glean a lot from it. And I did!

If you have never heard of tapping, give it a try. This is a great book to get you started. If you would like to liberate old beliefs, old stress, and the same old way of doing things read this book. It's easy to keep repeating the same patterns that don't serve us. Sometimes we have limiting beliefs and buried emotions that we don't even know are there.

At first, the title sounded a bit to woo-woo for me because I've ready a lot of personal development books that promise a lot but don't deliver. The book DELIVERS!!

This is not a type of book that you casually read, it takes work, but it is oh so worth it! I experienced a huge inner transformation through this process and I'm glad that I own this book so I can go back to it as needed. I had stalled a little bit on my personal growth journey and tapping was exactly what I needed to jumpstart me again. I highly recommend it to anyone ready to make changes but feels stuck or doesn't know what steps to take next. Go through this book and don't skip any of the exercises! The ones you feel resistance around are the ones you need the most (I speak from personal experience).

I mean sure you know... This book doesn't have any "new" information per se, it's more built to hold your hand while you fight the process. On the self development journey you find many techniques that work if you work then, but for one reason or another you discount it before the process has had enough time to germinate. This book is built to get you through that slump.

If you're really about it though you only need to implement your own scripts and continue refining your practice. This book can help you get there, but only you can find your magic words.

I checked this book out of the library as I was curious about tapping. This book is supposed to take a minimum of 21 days to get through it if you follow the plan of 1 tapping session/day. It took me several weeks to go through the book even though I did not do every tapping exercise. I did not pick up the book every day, and I tended to rush through the ones I did try, but I think there is some value to doing the exercises.

I’ve had positive experiences with tapping, but at the same time I’ve had very neutral experiences. Sometimes I feel as though I’m doing it wrong and then it stresses me out which defeats the purpose. I think I need to do it longer and be more diligent. I love the message of compassion I’m here and I will use tapping from now on when I need a boost of energy, motivation, empathy, or anytime I’m going through something difficult.

There are some great insights in this book and a few of the tappings I really resonated with. Many of them I did not resonate with and had to come up with my own, but the idea of daily working towards my greatest self was helpful.

Enjoyed the 21 day format. Good issues to work on each day. This worked especially well as an audio book. I always appreciate hearing the author's emphasis. This is one I also see re-reading.

Disappointing

To much room was taken up with tapping scripts. I couldn’t finish it. This is another book like many. Disappointing.
