Hal is phenomenal writer, deftly transporting you to anchorages and joining crossings with beautifully descriptive imagery.

My dad met Hal & Margaret decades ago @ Strictly Sail in Chicago when he was first beginning to sail himself. He passed the book on to me and I really enjoyed it. I look forward to reading more by Roth.

I just love Hal Roth’s books. I sail vicariously through dreary Michigan winters thanks to his adventures. Although written 30 years ago, the appeal is still there and I can’t wait to take another trip.
