Some activities are easy, such as colouring in and 'spot the difference'; some are about plant knowledge e.g. there are four images and four labels and you have to associate the right label with each image; some are nigh on impossible, such as 'draw this flower', where the only assistance is a grid placed over a very detailed image (you're then supposed to copy it onto your own blank grid, there are some others where you have to mirror the image onto a grid). There are a few step by step instructions but even those are very complex. I would have loved a few drawing activities with more steps - four steps simply isn't enough for me to follow!
Like the book it is derived from, this is a beautiful book, the illustrations are gorgeous.
As an activity book, which is what it is, I will say four stars. I was expecting more 'how to draw' activities with step-by-step instructions but I can hardly rate a book on what I was expecting, especially given it's clear in the name that it is an activity book, not a how to draw book.
