Zachary Kennedy has never been known as a fighter, but he'll never regret fighting for her...

I'm Zee Kennedy.

Quiet. Reserved. Predictable.

When my brother died, everyone thought I was just the good guy who stepped up to take his place in the band.

No one knew what I was hiding. The one thing I've been fighting for.

For six years, I've never lost focus.

Not until one chance encounter with Alexis Kensington.

Now she's become my greatest temptation.

I knew better than to touch her, but now that I've had a taste, I can't get enough.

Her kiss becomes my air. Her body, my salvation.

She needed a savior and somehow she became mine.

Taking her was a betrayal. But keeping her means risking everything.

One look at Alexis Kensington, and I know she's worth the fight.

Will my past continue to keep me down or will I finally find the strength to pull myself up and stand...

Have you ever wondered if each day of our lives is purposed? If every step we take is exactly where we're supposed to be?

Have you ever read a story or series that means more than you can ever pen into words? It's almost as if fate had a hand in matching you to the perfect story...YOUR perfect story or series. It's as if those words are meant for you. Every feel from every word...YOURS.

You don’t have to look hard to see the beauty that bleeds into A.L. Jackson’s words, so wondrous...so WOW. Every word that this author writes is FULL OF FEELS. Every word is mesmerizing and meaningful. Every word means everything. Every word is EVERYTHING. Stand is the newest roller coaster of a rock star romance from A.L. Jackson’s Bleeding Stars series that is PURE BEAUTY IN WORDS. Stand shatters and SINGS to the SOUL, making the heart both soar and bleed.

STAND.

I don't know if I can stand right now, my body wrecked, my soul shattered, and my emotions wrung dry from a story that was both the ultimate heartbreak and the ultimate happiness. This book BROKE ME in the BEST WAY!!! Stand was both my sunshine and storm.

Knowing it's the final Bleeding Stars story left standing made me want to savor every word slowly.

Knowing that this last Bleeding Stars story would be a soldier ready to battle with my heart, I willed myself to stay strong while reading...I FAILED as my feelings wholeheartedly took over.

Knowing that Stand is the last Bleeding Stars story left standing had me teary-eyed before I even began.

I tried my hardest to savor each word but I devoured them like a hungry lion. These words were the predator and my emotions were the prey. The Prologue GRIPPED and GUTTED ME, my heart gripping every carefully-penned word. So powerful. So poignant. So EVERYTHING.

STAND.

I would try to stand or stay strong so I could swallow this soul-searing story...word to word...heart to soul.

Eyes, already teary from mourning this last Bleeding Stars book, bled with more tears that gushed like a rainstorm. Zee's story BROKE ME from the Prologue alone. I was on edge where I would remain, my emotions entangled around these words, willing the tears to flow.

I could feel the world splintering around me, my foundation crumbling beneath my feet. Opening to reveal my wrong. It tosses me headfirst into a bottomless chasm. Endless. Purgatory.

After the Prologue, I had to stop reading. I had to catch my breath and reign myself for what would be a battle of emotions. Like the rest of the series, Stand made my heart bleed, breaking it in the best way. I was powerless to stop this emotional wreckage, this story wielding its power over me, but this was a wreck I wanted because I knew I would FEEL EVERYTHING.

Zachary 'Zee' Kennedy. Quiet and sweet Zee, Mr. Mystery, it's finally time for your story. Oh Drummer Boy, big, beautiful, bronze-eyed, and inked Zee. Hidden under that quiet demeanor is a damaged heart, a broken boy I wanted to save. A man who has paid what he believes to be his penance for too long. A man who has never wanted to fight...until her.

Alexis Kensington. Beautiful, blonde, blue-eyed, and petite crosses paths with Zee, perhaps by fate. He becomes her savior but she saves him too. Two broken souls shoved together at the right time. Two beautiful hearts that need to stand.

"Sometimes it gets old, living in the shadows."

"Is that what you feel? Like you're invisible?"

"Because you're the only thing I see."

These words, both tender and tear-filled, struck my soul. Happy fused with heartbreaking tears flowed fast and furiously. These words...so much MORE.

"You make me remember."

"What did you forget?"

"You make me remember what it's like to feel."

"And you've made me feel that way for the very first time."

Oh Zee! His and Alexis' words made me swoon so very hard! I LOVED THIS MAN of many layers but with a heart of gold that penetrated those layers the hardest…penetrating my heart too.

A connection, so big as if it beckoned from above, blazes between Alexis and Zee. An aura of fire, fueled by fate, dances around them. Lighting them up. Lifting them out of the darkness…lifting me out of the darkness…if only for a little while.

His mouth crashed against mine. Devouring. Destroying. Demanding. Taking everything I had to offer.

One kiss with passion and power in spades. One kiss that I felt penetrate through me too. One kiss that meant so much more.

STAND.

I wanted to stand, stay in this moment, soak up these powerful and poignant words, soak up this sun and slay the storms cast over this couple. Zee and Alexis' connection and chemistry were combustible, a force of fate. I could not help but smile a grin filled with hope as I was sucked into a wave of passion, one of soulmates, one of love powerful as those flames that ignite between them. I felt every burn…every blaze…every beautiful and brilliant word…I FELT IT ALL.

"I want to fall. I want to feel it. I want to see stars. Float with them and fall with them."

"I can feel it. Can you?"

There is so much beauty in these words, as if sent from above, where I saw these beautiful stars in the sky while reading.

"Fight for me."

STAND.

It's time for Zee to fight. Fight for Alexis. Fight for him. Fight for his life. Stand for love. Stand for LIFE.

When you read a story that cuts through you like a knife, gripping you, gutting you, rendering you raw...bare...breathless, you can't help but feel every word as if each were a slice to your heart and a song to your soul.

STAND.

This story stood all over me, stomping over my heart and sending my soul soaring and shattering. I CRIED the WHOLE TIME READING, tears etched into my eyes, soul forever imprinted by this STORY that SLAYED ME. I didn't expect Zee's story to storm on me, shattering me the hardest, but that severe storm was worth surviving to see the sunshine and the stars. Starshine that was heaven.

No author makes me unequivocally feel every word I'm reading like A.L. Jackson. No words are a trifecta of power, passion, and poignance like hers. A.L. Jackson writes from the heart and you can tell her heart is poured into every beautiful and brilliant word. Her heartfelt writing hit my heart hard like a hurricane in every single story of this Bleeding Stars series. EVERY WORD MATTERS. Meaningful. Mesmerizing. Magnificent.

Stand sang to my soul in a beautifully broken book that bled stars into my eyes, an epic love story worth the whole constellation that will always hold my heart. Sunder started with Baz in a A Stone in the Sea, a storm of emotions that like the second book in this duet, left me Drowning to Breathe.

Where Lighting Strikes struck my heart hard, Lyric's story stealing my soul that bled all the angst.

What I was most anxious for was Baz's little brother, Austin's story, my favorite second-chance type of romance, which became my favorite Bleeding Stars book and was well worth the Wait.

Stay struck me by surprise, my emotions entangled so deeply that I wanted nothing more than to stay in Ash's story.

Stand, the last Sunder story about the mysterious and sweet Zee, stood tall on its own, a story of sun and storms that was the most bittersweet as it's where the Bleeding Stars shine for the final time.

I got lost in Sunder. In the music. In the connection that was so clear in the four of them...So wild I couldn't tell if it was my spirit or my feet that had been truly swept away.

STAND.

I'm standing tall and proud, giving the biggest applause to Sunder, a band in a book that is so raw and real to me. This Sunder family and their music, these devastatingly beautiful books, OWN MY HEART FOR LIFE. There has never been a series that has meant more than this one. Sunder has been my life for years, so unequivocally entangled around every part of me, and I'm sad that it's time to say: The End. The finality of this soul-shattering series strikes a chord of sadness through me. My heart is still in harmony with the BEST SERIES EVER, these devastatingly beautiful books, the Bleeding Stars. My soul will forever sing to Sunder.

These bad, bad boys meant something to these people. They had created something no one else could. Had a chemistry that could only be found in their bond. This mixed up, mismatched family.

Curtains down. Exit stage. The Sunder show is over for good.

I am seriously mourning the end of the Bleeding Hearts books, this ALL-STAR series, one that has now risen to my TOP SERIES of ALL TIME. How can it not with words that make me feel the whole time reading?!? Bleeding Stars should be renamed Bleeding Hearts because with every book my heart bled harder. My heart will forever bleed and beat for the Bleeding Stars, so sunk in Sunder. My soul will always sing to and soar with this soul-slaying series. Sunder, this beautiful band, a family that became my family, I FEEL YOU ... now and forever.

No fear. Just life.

A Stone in the Sea

☆.。.:*・°☆EXCERPT.。
I froze, awareness shivering through the air, chills prickling across my flesh.

Sucking in a breath, I peeked over my shoulder. My heart trembled and shook.

Staring back at me were brilliant brown eyes that raged and stormed and promised they were getting ready to wreak a new kind of havoc on my life.

On the opposite side of the street, he pushed from the wall where he’d been watching. He didn’t hesitate. He came straight for me. His gaze only broke from mine to dart back and forth at the small street before he began to cross it in long, purposed strides.

A frenzy lit. A quiver of attraction that rocked and provoked.
I was fixed to the spot, gaze enraptured as I watched the intricate ink dance and play over the corded muscles that bunched and flexed in his thick arms. So much strength in his body and so much beauty in his being.

I swore he stole the air when he stopped two feet away. Hands fisted, he glowered over me.

I stumbled my way through the choppy words. “What…what are you doing here?”

His were hard. “Think I could ask you the same question.”
I shook myself out of the stupor. “Are you following me?”
It came off as an accusation that was somehow half-pleased and half-offended.

Standing in front of me was a man who was little more than a stranger, who had been tracking me, and I couldn’t stop the excitement that thrilled in my bones. I couldn’t stop the comfort that washed through me at his concern.

But I knew it was even more than that.

Over the last three weeks, I’d spent too much time wondering if I’d ever see this beautiful boy again.

“Maybe.” Frustration laced his tone. At him or me, I couldn’t tell.
I blinked at him, tongue-tied, my confusion and surprise tumbling out. “That’s just…weird.”

God. I was brilliant.

But what was I supposed to say? This boy caught me unaware at every turn, always at the advantage.

He almost laughed, this sound that was exasperated and filled with disbelief. “Weird?”

I bit at my lip, fighting a smile that really shouldn’t have been there. But he was here, again finding me when I felt helpless and vulnerable.

I nodded emphatically, clutching the lightness that whispered through the air. “That’s right. Weird.”

With his index finger, he scratched at the back of his head. He chuckled low, this sound that rumbled through my senses and warmed my belly. “I’m sure there are plenty of other things we could call this other than weird, don’t you think? This is just…”
I frowned when he trailed off and took a step in his direction. “What?”

Helplessly, he looked back at me. “I can’t do this, Alexis. I’ve got a sh*t show getting ready to blow up in my life, and the only thing I can think about right now is you. Can’t go to sleep at night because I’m terrified you might be sneaking off and doing something that’s going to land you in trouble again. That I might not be there to save you next time. And when I do finally nod off? I wake up in the morning panicked, praying you’re okay and having no way to make sure.”

His tongue darted out to wet his lips. My gaze followed, entranced by the thick bob of his throat as he swallowed.
“I don’t have the first clue what you’ve done to me, but I’m not sure I can handle whatever it is I’m feeling.”

I always wondered what Zachary "Zee" Kennedy's story was. He's been the quietest, most reserved rock star I've ever read about up until this book. He took his deceased brothers spot in his brothers band Sunder. And as we got the real story, he took his spot in much more than just his band. If you've read the 5 books prior in this series, you've seen a lot of Zee in them. I had a lot of assumptions as to 'what' happened. Yeah I guessed wrong...

I'm going to say this, I liked Zee, I loved Alexis, I didn't love this story, but I did like it overall. I don't want to say much to give anything away, just know that at the end of this book, Zee deserves what he gets, in a very good way. I think he overserved his self induced sentence he gave himself, he deserves happiness, he deserves to live freely.

And another note, if you are a fan of all the Sunder stars, this book is for you. All of them, and I mean ALL OF THEM, are in this one. A great conclusion to the series. Glad I can say I finally conquered the Bleeding Stars❤️

Oh wow! Finally I am done with this book. I read Stay before I read Stand. I remember I was bit frustrated with Stay due to how the author construct the story. See in Bleeding Stars series, Miss Jackson put all the explanation toward the end of this book. Around 80% toward the end of the book. While the beginning of the book all is full of angst.

Plus with Miss Jackson's signature wording, it is bit too much for me. Its bit dragging. I wish it can be shorten by 2 hours. I usually do like a story where the explanation is at the end. Its very frustrating listening to the story about angst but I do not know the reason behind the angst.

Overall, I do enjoy this book OK. I managed to finish it even though it takes me a while.

The End! ☹
The last book in the series. Zee.
I loved it.
It was adorable & moving & sexy & sad & suspensy & exciting & mysterious ... just beautiful.

BUT - just like with all the books in this series, I kinda hate the writing. Not all of it, and I think it's just the author's writing style, but for me it's all written way too poetic and long. And what I really hate about the writing is the way A.L. Jackson makes the guys talk. They all leave out the I's or the THE's or whatever needs to be at the beginning of a sentence. And I have NO idea what that is supposed to achieve? It that supposed to sound rockstarish? It just sounds ridiculous and weird and dumb. But I guess she had her reasons for wanting to do it like that and unfortunately nobody told her not to do it ... ☹

BUT I still loved the book. I'm glad we got to see the whole family again.

In book six of the bleeding stars series we follow the secrets, regrets and torment of Zachary Kennedy, the younger brother of rock band Saunder drummer Mark Kennedy. Zachary better known as Zee takes on the responsibilities of Marks mistakes when Marks life is sadly cut short from an overdose, always the protector and fixer Zee put his own life on hold for his late brother, even when he meets Alexis Kensington who becomes his biggest temptation but also his biggest salvation.
Loved it, total pure passion and depth to this story line it took me in so deep I didn't want to escape. The characters are so emotionally connected and vulnerable and so easy to love. Narrated by Zach Webber and Andi Arndt this is such a great read.

Stand by A.L. Jackson is a breathtaking symphony of visceral words and raw emotions. Jackson has readers like myself going down the proverbial rabbit hole where we must surrender to the onslaught of beauty, understanding, pain, love, and the union of two souls destined to have their lives intertwined.

photo 897263c585c1a257281918c78bb2e1_zpsiwwwiwrh.gif Standing there, I knew this would cost me. Everything important in our lives did. Nothing was free and every action came with a consequence. No. I'd never been known as a fighter. But looking down at this girl looking up at me? I knew I'd never regret fighting for her. ”

Stand is a bittersweet read since the journey of these beloved characters comes to an end. And what a journey it has been. I think it was fitting that Jackson concluded this series with Zee Kennedy’s story since this book packed that emotional punch to leave you yearning for more.

Timing. They say everything has it’s time and place. So what if you were meant to meet someone at a specific moment and time? Would you consider that fate or coincidence? For Alexis Kensington, the moment Zee Kennedy entered her world, it changed her. Not only was he the stranger that saved her but he was someone who will forever be etched in her mind, heart, and soul. It was as if the stars aligned and called Zee and Alexis together. Two jagged pieces who completed one another in order to make whole.

#Stand

As perfectly constructed layers of this book are slowly exposed and unraveled, readers begins to see the truth. The light. The reasoning behind everything. The secrets of Zee Kennedy. As Zee and Alexis begins to surrender to their feelings for one another, what happens when their worlds collide in a dangerously fashion. Can Alexis be the light for Zee?

photo 897263c585c1a257281918c78bb2e1_zpsiwwwiwrh.gif My spirit thrashed the lyrics of her song. One that was hard and confused and so utterly soft. Where the words held too much power and said all the things I’d never be allowed to say.”

While Stand is a romance novel, I found it to be somewhat a cathartic story in a sense. It allowed you to surrender your feelings and vulnerability with these characters as they go through their own personal journey of healing, forgiveness and love. I will say it again, A.L. Jackson is a master of words. Her words are like lyrical poetry that sings to you and captures the depths of your soul. So if you are looking for a book that will sing beauty, honesty, and love then I highly recommend you to read Stand.

5 "No fear, just life" Stars

 photo EA69E6C0-7D49-4ECF-A635-0A6280BBB567_zpshoipqnlc.jpg

This book is beautiful, I was mesmerised by it all from get go and it's the kind of read for me where I just needed the time to savour the words. I'm not too sure how to review this epic conclusion to the bleeding stars series but I'm going to try my best, but apologies if I don't make a great amount of sense.

"First time I came here, I knew it. Knew you were different. Knew I wasn't ever gonna be the same."

This story is about two souls that truly need to believe in themselves. Believe that they can live and love. But it's also about healing and second chances of sorts.

 photo EE12DAC7-7B88-4672-8668-55956C2950D8_zpsbkljbedg.jpg

Alexis and beautiful magnetic Zee meet in a path of uncertainty, zee protects her from the wrath of a man no woman should be close to. And there in Zee becomes her protector but also her friend. As time goes on though everything unravels and you get to see who the real Zachary Kennedy is. See into his past I loved reading the past chapters as you see into his mind back then, which was great as it gives you a full picture of EVERYTHING. Then as time goes on the attraction they just can't seem to walk from.

This read is the most luxurious of cakes the decadent of the rich.I just savoured the words. They just flowed and AL Jackson bravo I just am all tongue tied here, but your words are just music to my ears.

 photo 4AED9566-AD99-48C4-9169-B5701D9D48EF_zpshfdmfef8.gif

Overall is the perfect conclusion to this series, it's all wrapped up nicely but it's also put together in a way that I am all teary eyed over the love and bond they all share. You just can't not be emotional over it all. Zee especially is a truly beautiful character inside and out, he is giving, selfless and 100% protective and loving to the people he cares about. Its raw emotion and TRUE LOVE

Smiling through my tears, I am completely floored by Stand. AL Jackson has written one of the finest conclusions to a series I have ever had the pleasure of reading. The boys of Sunder have held my heart from the very start and now that their journey is over I am sitting here feeling so very privileged to have been able to be a part of their world. The outpouring of support, of love and of true brotherhood is never more apparent with these bandmates than it is with Zee's story. The way they all pull together time and again makes this book the true tour de force in a succession of books that has been nothing but masterful from beginning to end.

Oh Zee. The man I have been the most curious about does not disappoint. As selfless as he is sexy, finally getting to know him, to learn his truths was not easy. Being the silent backbone of his band, the pain he has carried around with him practically poured out from his pores, yet being able to hold it all in all these years was the most daunting of tasks. I was completely amazed at his strength. At his loyalty to an older brother who he worshiped but could not save. A man holding the world on his shoulders and was dangerously close to losing it all.

And Alexis. A heroine who I adored. Her never-ending positive outlook even when her own sister was caught up in a dangerous world. The way she manages to bring some much-needed light to Zee's life when he felt destined to remain in the dark. His Angel. Her tender touches, her drive to make sure Zee knew that love still existed for him, had me clutching my heart with long sighs more times than I can count. Showing Zee that is he was worthy and never giving up on him was simply a beautiful experience.

Zee and Alexis, brought together by chance, find their fate in each other and are thankfully both stubborn enough to keep trying even when circumstances work against them. The author beautifully captures what it truly means to put others first and how the ultimate reward of a deep and devoted love can set the most tortured of souls free.

I knew Zee's story would be tough to read and with the addition of my hesitance at not wanting my time with the Sunder boys to be over, I unabashedly became a sobbing mess especially towards the end. It's the love these characters have for one another that continues to be the underlying theme throughout this series and it is never more evident here. Because Baz, Lyrik, Austin, Ash and Zee truly STAND by each other and never fail to catch the other when they start to fall. The lucky women who love them are just as exceptional as their flawed men and as I reflect upon my time with this eclectic crew, I know I have been witness to one of the most endearing and magical family of characters I have had the fortune to read.

A must read that will pull on your heartstrings and leave you completely satisfied and full of joy.

A huge 5+++++++ stars, wishing I could give it more.

This is Amy at her finest and best yet!! This book wrecked me completely. Emotions everywhere and kept me on edge the whole time. WOW!! The best book to end one hell of an amazing series.

I have been waiting to read Zee's book for quite some time and Amy gave us more than what I had anticipated. Zee stepped up to take his brother's place as Sunder's drummer when he passed away seven years ago. The men of Sunder took him in like he always belonged but Zee always kept himself tucked away in the shadows, keeping the bang together. Zee has carried the pain of losing his brother with him for all these years and he's also kept one of the biggest secrets from everyone, til one girl threatens it all.

Alexis - I love her. She is one the most delicate yet strong heroines I have read in awhile. She too is like Zee, selfless in her giving and always looking out for others in her life. Zee become Alexis' protector and she becomes Zee's angel, his light. As much as he knows he can't have her, he can't stay away from her.

" 'Fall with me,' I whispsered.

He leaned down, lips just brushing mine, and Zachary Kennedy murmured his truth.

'I already jumped.' "

Amy wrote one of the most heart-breaking and beautiful stories with these two. Everything they go through, it crushed me. My heart hurt for them both. I was a bawling mess the last 40% of this book. The buildup and the crescendo of this story just pulverized me and had me reeling me with some many emotions. Zee and Alexis' love story is one that will stay with me for quite some time.

"No fear. Just life."

This quote is one that I will never forget (and more than likely will be tattooed on some part of my body at some point). It rings throughout this book and trust me when I say, it will become a quote that will stick with you.

So if you have not realized, this series is amazing. And if you have not read any of these books yet, you need to NOW!! And you can read this one as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading them in order. You won't feel confused reading out of order, but you will feel the story so much deeper when reading them in order.

Amy's writing is like no other. I feel her words. I become so entranced by the story, I never want it to end. These characters - they have become family to me. They feel real to me. These men and their wives and kids have a special place in my heart.

This series is what got me hooked on rockstar romances. I actually cried when the book was over - it was like saying goodbye to my family. I started this series in the middle and I immediately got swept up in it's chaos and beauty. This series is one of my top faves and is my top rockstar romance. I am sad to see the journey of Sunder come to an end but it was worth every damn word I read. And will gladly re-read again and again.

‘Agony cut through me. A dull, bitter blade. The desperation to save someone who didn’t want to be saved.’

The beauty of AL Jackson’s words shone through this highly emotional and passionate romance which had our hearts breaking and our eyes welling up throughout. The writing was flawless and we felt every single word. Stand is the last book in the Bleeding Stars series and can be read as a standalone. This is a series that has stolen our book reading hearts.

‘Every inch of the man was a sublime contradiction. His entire demeanour serenity and war. Peace and strife. As if the man bore the scars of a thousand battles and still managed to look past the brutality of the world.’

This is Zee’s – the drummer boy of Sunder- story and wow has this man had a tragic past, a past he’s still living with heavy guilt, responsibility and paying an unrealistic debt to his brother. His heart is huge and pure despite having suffered tremendously. AL Jackson sure put us through it with his story, she made our hearts break into pieces. We fell in utter love with Zee and he held our hearts from page one till the last. A quiet stillness of a man with a storm brewing inside. A gentle giant living the consequences of his past. Living someone else’s life out of responsibility giving up on all personal dreams and hope.

‘An angel. The brightest light in the midst of my darkness. Starshine…I couldn’t get lost in this girl. But there was a part of me that wanted to do it anyway. Give up and give in.’

Sometimes we meet our soul mate when we least expect it. Alexis is a beautiful young woman who fights to live and grabs life by the hands. She’s suffering under the life of her twin sister’s demise into a life of violence, despair and harrowing distress. Finding herself in a dire situation which could have disturbing consequences, she’s saved by Zee who happens upon her and an immediate bond is formed. What comes from this fateful night is a road fraught with personal battles and open wounds. It’s captivatingly sad yet hopeful too insofar that love is persevering if you place your trust and faith in it.

"An angel. The brightest light in the midst of my darkness."

It has been more than two years since the first book in the Bleeding Stars series A Stone in the Sea released. It is always difficult to say goodbye to characters that you have spent so many hours with. I love the Sunder boys, they are such complex and intriguing guys and all of them except Zee had found their HEA. I wanted to know more about Zee, just like with the other guys there was something weighing down on him. There was a secret that kept him from fully living his life.

"You being here for a day is more than enough. Sometimes it gets old, living in the shadows. Somehow they're not quite so dark when you're around."

He met Alexis at the right place and time, things could've gone so horribly wrong if he wasn't there at that moment. There was insta-love between them, which I didn't like in the beginning. However I should've known that AL Jackson would tell an emotional and beautiful story in her own way. I didn't agree with Zee making the decisions he made, however I understood them. Alexis was such a sweet and loyal character. She was definitely perfect for Zee, who kept pushing her away (which he wasn't that successful in). There was just something between them that he couldn't ignore. We also get the final pieces to the puzzles of this series. We finally know what really happened and it was very heartbreaking. Stand was a great conclusion to this awesome series, and I can't wait to see what AL Jackson comes up with next. Hopefully she'll decide to write a novella about the guys in the future.

"You make me remember what it's like to feel. What it's like to want someone in a way that makes me feel I'm going out of my mind. Coming out of my skin."

Stand is the final book of the Bleeding Stars series and it was A-MAZ-ING!!!! I wish I could give it more than 5 stars.

This is the story of Zee, the drummer for Sunder, and Alexis, the girl who crosses paths with Zee one fateful night. Their story is both heartbreaking and breathtaking. Their connection immediate, their chemistry hot AF. As I have read each book of this series, I didn't think AL Jackson could top the previous book, but once again she has proven me wrong and out done herself, I was an emotional mess when I finished this book....a day later and I still have all the feels! To me that is the sign of a brilliantly written book.

It was bittersweet knowing that this was the last book of the series but she did Sunder and her fans justice.....it was absolute perfection!! I highly recommend this book!!!

7 years later, after a tour Zee returned to CA. only to find his world turned upside down...as he goes on search for a friend. he discovers the home he bought them was sold. In fear they returned to their previous life they he goes into the drug infested area in the middle of the night only to hear gut-wrenching screams and cries from a voice...

Unknown to the band, Zee made multiple comittments that stopped him from following his own dreams, all those nights he looked at the skies and wished on all those stars....none of which Zee could achieve.

NO FEAR.JUST LIFE
Alexis shows Zee, her little drummer boy, thay he can both honor his brother and also cherish whay means the most to him... He confronts many emotions that he feels for her, she teaches him how to live. "You showed me that life is for the living". As Alexis has always wanted to play the Piano, Zee has agreed to teach her to play simply because she makes him feel, want, and compose misic.

Alexis pleads "Tell me your Truths"
Zee has never shared any of his secrets to the band let alone Alexis until the one day when Zee's past and present collide is he faced with his truths. Nervous of what they will think and say. he worries if they will forgive him.

Love will keep them together.
After laying it all out on the line to his family, they are more compassionate and supportive... but still unsettled and a hole in his heart he sets his site on his "Starshine"....

he is ready to give his mind, heart, & soul

And it’s you
Starshine in my eyes
Bleeding stars and mended hearts
They’re falling for you

Starshine in my eyes
And I’m falling for you
This mended heart
It’s falling for you
Catch me when I fall.

We fell in love with this story, not wanting it to end yet desperately wanting love and forgiveness to win out. Having read the last two books in this series we are needing to read the rest as Sunder is a group of lads who stole our hearts and we’re now desperate to hear everyone’s stories.

“Living is a choice. We decide how we wake up each morning and face the day. Either we’re led by hope or ruled by fear. And I won’t let circumstances define me. Maybe I’m a fool, because I will stand or I will fall, but I will never, ever allow fear to clip my wings.”

E siamo arrivati all'ultimo libro della serie!

What a disgusting mess of a book. Never read a heroine with less self-respect than this one and what an amazing cheating, lying piece of shit of a “hero” if this is a romance novel then I seriously have no idea what romance is anymore.

5 BEAUTIFULLY BRILLIANT BLEEDING STARS

**Spoiler-Free Review**

“‘Do you feel it?’ The words were a pant, as if he were captured. Removed. Lost in a place that for a time only belonged to me and to him. ‘It’s alive.’ A light shining somewhere in space, just waiting for us to harness it. To capture it. To give it voice and life.”

In this final installment to her Bleeding Stars series, AL Jackson manages to do just that—she harnesses the light, captures it, and gives voice and life to Zee and Alexis’ story. By employing her unique, artistic flair, that voice shines vivid with scenes that are emotionally charged and beautifully brilliant. Yet it would be remiss not to acknowledge that “Stand” is but one piece of a collective whole. Though easily read as a standalone, it is also the culmination to a series that has captured the hearts of countless readers—my own, included. With “Stand,” AL Jackson delivers a powerful, gut-wrenching story that leads us back to the very beginning. And in doing so, she brings this series full circle, rewarding her readers with a stunningly satisfying conclusion.

“The Danger in Pretending is it Becoming Real” --

For 7 long years, Zee Kennedy has been standing in the shadows, pretending. Since stepping into his brother’s shoes as Sunder’s drummer, Zee has been pretending to revel in the dream that had never belonged to him. He denies his own dreams, pretending they no longer matter. He harbors shameful secrets and then pretends they don’t exist. And he pretends that his life and allegiance hasn't been split into two. Then Alexis Kensington enters his radar, and he’s unable to stay away. He struggles with his feelings, pretending not to be craving more. Because pretending anything else is dangerous, when reaching for more means he might just lost it all.

“No fear. Just life.” –

Alexis Kensington is the epitome of faith, goodness and belief. She’s also a strong, confident woman, who doesn’t fear the fall when taking a leap. She refuses to let fright or circumstances control her actions, even when danger is nipping at her feet. Determined to rescue her twin from the unsavory world that holds her in its grip, Alexis falls prey to the man who’s been pulling her sister’s strings. And in that one, terrifying moment, Alexis’ dire situation leaves her desperate for a savior. Answering the call of her beckoning scream, it’s Zee Kennedy who comes to her rescue; who stands up to keep Alexis safe.

“My spirit thrashed the lyrics of her song. One that was hard and confused and so utterly soft. Where the words held too much power and said all the things I’d never be allowed to say.”

Zee lives his days in his own carefully constructed world. And in one defining moment, Alexis infiltrates that world, making all the dreams he’d forced aside come rushing back full force. His very soul sparks to life, and he feels the stirrings of her song. He pushes against her pull, but keeps her close, just the same. Doing so is dangerous, but letting her go just isn’t a choice.

“Every inch of the man was a sublime contradiction. His entire demeanor serenity and war. Peace and strife. As if the man bore the scars of a thousand battles and still managed to look past the brutality of the world."

Alexis is drawn to Zee, of that there is no doubt. But their connection runs deeper than simmering chemistry or the shared aftermath from an intense and fateful night. To both, family always comes before all else. And addiction had taken hold of those they’d loved the most. Yet, the man is an enigma; a puzzle she just can't seem to solve. While upfront about his feelings, he seems unable to give her little else. He holds back truths that he refuses to offer; secrets he won't reveal. Still, Alexis takes a leap of faith, believing that Zee will catch her, should she fall.

“Zee brushed his thumb along the hollow beneath my eye. His gaze flickered with fondness and fear. ‘You shouldn’t even be real, Alexis Kensington. You’re a gift. A treasure.’

I wanted to tell him gifts were to be received. Taken without penalty or concern. Somehow standing here, I got the feeling he was terrified I might come at the greatest cost.”

Despite his need to keep Alexis at a distance, Zee draws her in even closer. His Sunder family is welcoming, and they eagerly accept her into their fold. His protectiveness grows fierce and his love for her, even fiercer. She becomes his greatest gift yet also his greatest fear. And still, she is but one more secret residing amongst the rest. Still fearful and guarded, Zee continues to shroud himself in mystery, cautious in the dispersing of his truth.

“He coaxed me with those brilliant eyes while the rest of him coaxed my body into bliss.

Higher and deeper and faster.

And we spun.

Falling through a vacant space that belonged only to us.

Where the stars burned so bright they blinded.

Where the only thing I could see was this boy.

This brilliant, beautiful boy.”

Dangling from Alexis’ hairline on a string running down her neck, a tiny star tattoo rests as a reminder to believe. The stars hold meaning for Zee, as well, whose burning star disintegrates, leaving bits of ash and decay in its wake. I believe that fate brought these two together, and as their stars aligned, their desire burned strong and bright. Years of abstinence fueled Zee’s desperate hunger, so when they finally came together, now unleashed, his passion was unbridled. Their heat ignited and then exploded, while their unvoiced love began to soar.

“As a kid, Zee had breathed a million of those wishes.

Countless.

Infinite.

Now he could feel them falling all around him. Burning and bleeding out.

Disintegrating into nothing.”

As the story continues to unfold, AL Jackson pulls back the layers to expose the secrets of the past. And in so doing, shocking revelations come to pass. With the missing pieces found, and all the questions finally answered, Zee’s truth comes fully into focus. But when past and present suddenly collide, the resulting confrontation is nothing short of dangerous.

“‘Fall with me,’ I whispered.

He leaned down, lips just brushing mine, and Zachary Kennedy murmured his truth.

‘I already jumped.’”

When it comes to romance novels, where there is angst, there is also the requisite “happily-ever-after.” And no one does “happily-ever-after” better than AL Jackson! A perfect blend of heart-felt words and smoldering romance, Zee’s overture of love for Alexis is most definitely a swoon-worthy moment--one that had me reaching for the entire box of tissues. And OMG... that epilogue… (SIGH) be still my beating heart!!

“‘Bleeding Stars.

Who’d have known they were raining wishes on us all along.’”

Just over two years ago, I took a chance on a brand new series that I knew very little about. Now, six books later, the epic journey ends with Zee. And, oh, what a wonderful, emotion-filled journey it has been! Dare I say, AL Jackson has left the very best for last. So, it is with a bittersweet heart and tearful eyes that I give you my review of “Stand,” and bid a final homage to each of the sexy, panty-melting boys of Sunder, who stole a little piece of my soul and refused to give it back.

AL Jackson is truly a consummate storyteller. With each book she writes, she breathes life into her characters, making them unforgettable, vibrant and real. Her Bleeding Stars series is no exception. It isn’t often that I find a book that has me totally enraptured right from the very beginning and straight up until the very end… let alone, an entire series. But when I do, I want nothing more than to shout it from the rooftops. So, this is me—up on the rooftop—shouting.

WOW! I am sad that Stand is the last book of A.L. Jackson’s Bleeding Stars series. It’s hard to say goodbye but I cannot wait to see what is next. Stand is heartbreakingly beautiful though. I was always intrigued by Zee. There is something mysterious about him and I suspect he has a past. Zee, although a little broken, is our true hero. The first-time Zee meets Alexis he saves her life from a dangerous man. Unfortunately, the man got away that night so Zee is determined to keep Alexis close despite her defiance. There is something about Alexis that Zee is drawn too – he is instantly attracted to Alexis. Zee goes alpha and wants to be the man who protects her and keeps her safe. But can Zee keep his heart safe from the beautiful, sometimes stubborn heroine?

Zee’s life is complicated and there is a big secret that he keeps from his bandmates and Alexis. Zee has a big responsibility to that part of his life too. I adore Zee. He is a drummer for a super star band but he is just sweet, kind and has a big heart. It is his nature to protect everyone around him. Alexis also has a weight on her shoulders. She too, will put her life in danger in order to take care of the one she loves. At some point, I was so frustrated that Alexis kept falling into the trap and becomes somewhat of an enabler. But Alexis has her reasons and you cannot judge until you “walk a mile in the man’s shoes”. The bond Alexis has for her sister is deeply rooted and not fear nor anyone can break that bond.

The love Zee and Alexis have for each other is heartbreakingly beautiful. With all the ups and downs, secrets and lies surrounding them they hung on tight. I was a crying mess at towards the end. A.L. Jackson sure can write a breathtaking romance with unforgettable characters – broken men and the women that stand strong by their side. Together they all make a magical HEA.

The epilogue is bitter sweet, giving us an overall update of all the members of Thunder. I had tears in my eyes – so sad this is the final chapter to an unbelievably gorgeous series. I love all of them but Stand will forever leave an imprint on my heart. Sniffs....:(

STANDing Ovation!

Zee and Alexia (hand over heart) what an incredible story you both have. This book was filled with so much passion and anguish. My heart was all over the place. The emotions evoked are why I read in the first place. The world gets blurry around me and I just get lost in the pages. A.L. Jackson poured her heart and soul into this book. You feel so invested in these characters and want the best for them. We’ve watched them grow, get married, have children, and find peace. The author truly honored these characters and ended it with perfection. What a final act!

As hard as it is to let the guys of Sunder go... I look forward to what A.L. Jackson has in store for us next. May we never forget the past few years. It’s been an incredible ride. Thank you A.L. Jackson.... thank you.

Zee Kennedy has intrigued me throughout the entire Bleeding Star series. He may be the youngest member of Sunder but he is the most responsible one at times, and seems to be the stitch that holds it all together. Zee did not start out from the beginning with Sunder. Originally his brother Mark was the drummer, his battle with drugs pulled him under. That left Zee trying his best to honor his brother and hold Sunder together. At a very young age, Zee discovered he was musically gifted and his heart lay with the piano. That was where he thrived and was in his element. He gave up on his own dreams, pushed them aside, to continue what his brother had started with Sunder.

Alexis Kensington is the epitome of all things good. She has a cheery outlook on life, there is a mantra she uses, "No fear--Just life" that seems to put her in some rather dangerous situations at times. She has a twin sister (Avril), who has been living her life on the edge, she is surrounded by dangerous people. Alexis will not give up hope, and is always there for Avril, no matter how dangerous the situation is. This is how she meets Zee, he literally saves her one night while she is on the wrong side of town, trying to help her sister out.

"Let's just say sometimes the wrong roads lead us to the right place. I'm just glad I was walking it."

Zee is drawn to Alexis, and wants to learn more about her. She does not fit into his plans, but we all know that life never happens as we plan. He is a man of many secrets, he is burdened with so many responsibilities, and he feels as though he does not deserve a chance at happiness. Zee can actually see the light that shines from within Alexis, he knows this girl is nothing but good, something that he craves and needs, but feels undeserving of it all.

"God. This girl was good. Flush with grace. Like she'd been sent as a sustaining breath in a world that threatened to suffocate. Transparency in a life full of confusion and doubt and questions."

I was so anxious to read this book, but at the same time filled with dread. I knew this would be the last novel in one of my all time favorite series. It is written so beautifully, and yes it is angsty at times, but it also has a slow burn element to it as well. I loved how Amy included all of the other guys and their families. It was one last farewell to the boys of Sunder. They are the definition of family, true proof that you do not have to have the same blood coursing through your veins to be family. It was so touching how Baz, Lyrik, Ash, and Austin pulled together and showed Zee that they was there for him no matter what. That they wanted him to find the happiness and peace that he was so deserving of. That is what family does for each other, stands by them no matter the consequences.

"Bleeding Stars. Who'd have known they'd been raining wishes on all of us all along."

5 Starshine Crowns

A.L. Jackson has one again delivered a story that hits all the emotions. It is heart-wrenching and suspenseful, and yet it is also a story of the healing powers of real and familial love, creating the perfect conclusion for my favorite rock-star romance series to date.

Zee has been the quiet drummer of Sunder for the majority of series. Always content to be in the background , he has been the silent supporter of all of the men. In Stand, though, readers get to see what truly motivates him, what weighs him down, and what he pays penance for, and it will break readers' hearts. It is the perfect example of how one mistake can send a person's life off-track, but what readers will also see is that this man has paid his dues and he needs to start living his life for him because he deserves so much goodness in his life, which he finds in Alexis. Alexis is currently in a similar situation to Zee. While she struggles to save her sister, she yearns for safety and love, to take an adventure and a chance with the man who rescued her. Readers will love her heart and her unwillingness to give up on her sister, and it is her dedication to those she loves that makes her perfect for Zee. These two both bring each other peace and love within a world of turmoil and pain, and readers love them both so they feel it all, every beautiful and heart-breaking moment.

This story will suck readers from the very first word. A.L. Jackson has this way of leaving enough breadcrumbs to the Zee's secret to keep readers engaged and guessing about the reveal without making the plot stagnant. On top of the perfectly paced suspense, she really brings the series full circle with the connection and explanation of Mark and his involvement with the band. As if it couldn't get better, the chemistry and romance between Zee and Alexis is expertly intertwined with the past and the suspense of the present to create a novel readers won't be able to put down. What will make lovers of the series so happy is the way she leaves the band. The men of Sunder and their ladies are special and their stories are brilliant, and A.L. Jackson gives them all the ending that is so worthy of the series, the beloved characters, and the many Sunder fans.

Stand by A.L. Jackson is complete perfection from cover to cover. It is everything readers could have ever asked for as the conclusion of this phenomenal series, and, although it is always so sad to say goodbye to well loved characters, this send off is everything they deserved!

No fear. Just life.

Le nostre strade erano state modificate.

“Come?”

QueenZany 5 Star Review
Stand
A.L. Jackson

There comes a time in life, when you discover that one series! That will rock you to the ever-loving core and move you from the foundation you’re standing on. Coming at you like a jolting earthquake. Splintering you to the depth of your soul! leaving you lost, wounded and whole at the same time! Now, this is The Bleeding Stars Series!
So, for it to come to an end. It’s both bitter and sweet!
I went into this book worried! Was Stand going to hold up to the previous books? Were we going to have a closer? How would it end?
Let me say Stand literally took my breath away, right from the get-go! Just full force and with a vengeance Stealing part of me along the way!

Stand is a lyrical dream of power and strength! That will steal your mind, body, and soul! With its infectious own brand of poetic and visionary fluidity! That grabs you in its story. Only to fill you with hope, desire, and that ever-present fire that stirs in all of us! Wishing we could be ZEE and LEX!!!
That powerful kinetic energy that morphs into sheer energy moving the storyline. In a momentous flow! Not letting you leave the pages. Not for a minute because you must consume it till you are one with it! Even at the end. You’re lost without the words! How do you describe a masterpiece? How do you describe brilliance? You can’t! Other than diving in and seeing for yourself!! Which is all A.L. Jackson! A mind-blowing 10stars!!!

After reading this I was a broken sweaty emotional crying mess, the author took my heart gave it a shake and cracked it wide open. I knew this was going to be a hard book as it's the last in the series but I never could have imagined the story the author gave us.
This is Zee's story the drummer who took his brothers spot in the band and Alexis the girl who he meets when he comes to her rescue one night. I never could have imagined the heartache that Zee is hiding from everyone his pain leaps from the page. One fateful decision Zee made has given him years of turmoil and guilt my heart broke for him. Alexis is a woman stuggling with eveything life has thrown at her she has guilt of her own but it's a burden she shouldn't bare.
The chemistry and connection between them is obvious from the moment they meet, they are like magnets both drawn to each other. Zee's life is complicated and he knows he shouldn't get involved with Alexis but neither can resist the other. There is plenty of drama but there is passion love and most of all acceptance.
I'm sorry this is the end of the series but the author went out with a bang.

WOW! Every book I read by A.L. Jackson has me completely blown away with her ability to transform words into powerful feelings. Zee and Alexis’ relationship starts off with Zee (a man who makes it his mission to stay below the stardom radar) saving Alexis from a horrifying event. He knows he should distance himself from her and any publicity that might come from what happened but there is something about Alexis that he cannot stay away from. He starts visiting and getting to know her and finds himself having feelings he whole heartedly was not prepared for.

‘Because I was a fool who suddenly wanted to know every single detail about her. I wanted to explore and discover. Slip right inside her beautiful mind and sift through her thoughts. Vanish in her body.’

A.L. Jackson has to undeniably be one of my absolute favorite authors. I am not often a fan of rocker books but not only are hers on my must read list they are ones I devour the moment I can get my hands on one. She has an uncanny ability to make your heart hurt in a way that only has you yearning for more. Stand is full of depth, emotion, love, steam and a story that absolutely needed to be told.

Sometimes it's the quite ones that have the most to say. Not once the whole time I was reading this series did I ever dream the secrets Zee had been hiding. A. L. Jackson once again ripped my heart to shreds and then pasted them back together in a way no other author has ever been able to do. Her writing had a way of sucking you into the story and never wanting it to end. With each book and each character of this series you end thinking, "Ok, there is no way the next book can out do or make me love the characters more than this one". Before you know it you are drowning in the world of the Sunder boys and you dont ever want rescue. Stand is no different. If you thought Zee was the quiet, good boy of Sunder... think again. I could NOT put this book down! This was the perfect ending to the most heartbreakingly beautiful series I have ever read.

This just went around and around. I felt like the story was told to me in code and it was my job to figure out the pieces. "JUST GET ON WITH IT ALREADY!!" Everything was a secret. I love tension and suspense in my romance stories, but I hate when the author drags stuff on just to drag it on. There was NOTHING for me to connect with. Everything about the characters was vague even at the 30% mark. I have read intense psychological thrillers/mysteries that gave me more information about the characters than this book in the first 20%. I hate when the author does not give me ANYTHING until 85% or so. I have enjoyed other books by this author, but this one was not for me. You may love it.
