Warriors of Luxiria #3

The Alien's Lover

Rate this book
Welcome to Luxiria, where the twin suns are hot and the alien warriors are hotter…

Beks Bridgett’s mission in life is to try everything at least once. Some call her fearless. Others, reckless. While her bucket list includes things like skydiving and kissing random strangers, getting kidnapped by aliens and sold to an intergalactic fight club definitely isn’t. That is, until a fierce, intimidating, and panty-meltingly hot alien warrior springs her from her caged prison.

Ambassador Lihvan, one of the deadliest War Generals of Luxiria, is known for his unshakable drive and intense ferocity in battle. He is a warrior of few words and even fewer needs…but many, many secret, dirty desires. When he rescues a human woman who delights in teasing him to an inch of his infamous control, the powerful Luxirian fears that she will be the one to finally bring him to his knees.

After a rescue mission goes awry, Beks and Lihvan find themselves stranded on a dangerous and ever-changing planet, alone. Nestled in a small shelter, not only are they trying to survive the elements, but also the lust and desire that runs between them…

Features a feisty human woman, a seven-foot tall hot alien with vibrating -ahem- parts, and cold, cold nights tucked in a little, little cave. What could possibly go wrong?

Full-length, 50,000+ word novel that can be read as a standalone, but revisits characters from previous books.

With this one, the series really starts.

Lihvan agrees to be captured by the enemy, ensuring his death in exchange for the safety of the ship’s occupants, including his newly fated mate Beks. When Beks follows Lihvan, not knowing his trade, she gets captured too. In a quick escape, the two crash land on a dangerous planet.

I loved Lihvan and Beks. Beks’s flirting & teasing would’ve made Lihvan blush if he were able to! Lihvan was completely enamored by her, yet still tried to retain control of his Instinct. Beks was just as caring, showing her affection by thanking and complimenting him.

They’ll be a tough act to follow.

My favorite of this series so far. It takes the 'verse that was introduced in the first two books, and really expands on it.

It's got some action-adventure, forced proximity/on the run elements, but doesn't go crazy with it, just allows the reader to buy into their intense connection. There's some sexy moment where, even while in danger, they manage to have lots o' oral fun whilst holding back because you need some tension. The danger from the Luxirian's enemy kind of peters out, but in terms of alien sci-fi rom, the dangerous setup is actually relatively mild anyway. Overall, I got some big, hunky aliens who are all about their luxivas (yeah it doesn't matter, it's the alien equivalent of MATE O' MINE) but I liked it and if you like that vibe, you may like it too.

Ahh. This is my favorite yet.

Beks and Lihvan's story is definitely my favorite yet.

This is a funky mix of opposite personalities meets being stuck together with everything out of their control. I loved it.

Beks landed up on a alien planet not having a clue what on earth was happening. It was an alternate reality and everything seemed like a bad dream but unfortunately for her it was all real. Lucky for her.. she landed in hell at the right time because help was a coming.

I loved Beks. She's a fierce strong woman who even in times of stress knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to stand up for herself. She didn't live in her head, she wanted to experience things.. she tempted Lihvan and enjoyed doing it despite the unknown. She got her man.

Lihvan is a typical warrior. He's stubborn, cool calm and collected and cold at first glance. He wasn't used to feeling out of control and it had him feeling and acting crazy. He was possessive even though he was trying his hardest to stay away from her and his control only lasted a very short amount of time. What I loved about him was just how emotional he was under all that alpha warrior persona. His sweet attentiveness. The way he put her needs before his. Ahhh. He is the perfect alpha male.

These two had me feeling all the feels. The curiosity and the building tensions. The instantaneous chemistry and a slow building connection. Everything about them just worked. His hard to her soft... His inexperience to her confidence. They were explosive and amongst them and their budding relationship they had to deal with being stuck on a planet with nothing and no one else. The action, the suspense... The sweet tender moments and the fiery explosive happenings. It was a rollercoaster but I was so consumed in them, In this world and these crazy characters.

I'm not saying it's a relatable read but it's an enjoyable one!. I laughed, swooned and ranted at the kindle and by end was sad to see it finished. I loved them. This series is shaping up to be a favorite and I can't wait to read the next one.

Instead, her throat closed up, clogging with unexpected tears, when his hands spanned her waist, when they ran over her curves like he was trying to memorize the shape of her, when he lightly brushed his lips across the sensitive flesh of her neck and whispered words in his language that she felt deep inside her bones.

Okay, I'm officially obsessed with this series. I absolutely LOVED Lihvan and Beks's story! Lihvan was a stoic warrior who operated on self-control, while Beks lived her life impulsively. After Beks was kidnapped by aliens, her only goal was returning to Earth, but the gorgeous alien who rescued her and protected her after they crash-landed in the jungle tempted her to stay. I loved Lihvan and Beks together; they were such opposites in so many ways, but they somehow understood each other perfectly. Only Beks was able to force Lihvan to open up and allow himself to be happy, while Lihvan's unbreakable care and devotion were exactly what Beks needed. The flow of their relationship was sexy yet intimate, and I loved the added danger and drama towards the end. I cannot wait to continue this series🖤

Tropes: fated mates, he falls first, closed off but obsessed hero, heroine-in-danger, forced proximity, hurt/comfort, stranded on an alien planet, opposites attract, touch her and die, grumpy/sunshine, size difference, found family, slow burn, STEAMY🔥

I read, and liked the first in the series. I skipped the second because I prefer standalone romances. So starting the third!

Like the first in the series, this is a smutty romance. I enjoyed it :)

Insta love taken to another level

Beks has been kept in a cage and starved for a time when she’s rescued by the Luxirians. She then ends up stranded on a hostile planet with one who is so “honorable” he doesn’t want to tell her she is his fated mate.
Like the previous books, both MCs are immediately very attracted to one another. However, the move from attraction to undying love was really fast for a FMC that has been through so much trauma.
Beks was quite the impulsive character, which I enjoyed to a degree. She was a decent foil for mr honor grumpy warrior alien man.

Spice: 4/5

Triggers: attempted SA, captivity, survival scenarios

This time it’s about another couple finding to each other as fates mates 💕 it’s really cute and what I liked a lot is that it’s not the same trope but something different. The two had to surrender in a cave together waiting for help therefore rather interesting things occurred with them 😏😂

The Alien's Lover is the third book in the Warriors of Luxiria series. It is a quick read with lots of steam and spice. I don't mind reading these books, alpha, aliens, human, fated mates, insta love tropes, because they are sci-fi, and anything goes.

This is Beks and Lihvan’s story, with a strong, grumpy warrior general, which is a nice distraction from normal life for a few hours, especially if it is Zoey Draven. Her writing style is easy and inviting.

Re-reading this series again because apparently I didn't leave a review the first time.

So Beks wakes naked up in a slave pen as a prize for a gladiator. Lhivan comes along and saves her, only to end up being stranded with her on a dangerous planet.

This book was ok. Nothing amazing but enjoyable non the less. It’s not as good as The Ice Planet Barbarian series nor as good as Grace Goodwin’s Interstellar bride series hence only 3 stars.

It’s very instalovey in that Lhivan’s ‘instinct’ tells him Beks is his fated mate and pheromones seem to do the rest. It’s an ok read.

What a fun read! I love the Horde series however when I started with Warrior of Luxiria I was disappointed (namely first book, didn’t bother with second since I couldn’t connect with the h, she’s too much of a brat for my liking).

But this book! I love love love Beks’ personality - independent, straightforward, bold, brave and how she unabashedly teased and flirted the hell out of Lihvan. And her inner thought cracks me up - “I’d like to try out those hot springs with you, you sexy beast, you.”

And Lihvan - he is OTT alpha of the universe, so intense, so hot! “If we mate, I will never let you go. That is the kind of male I am.” Sign.me.up!!! 🔥🔥🔥

Okay gotta go cool down a bit before I set myself on fire...🥵

This was surpassingly sweet.
It combined a lot of tropes I like all in one easy, enjoyable sci-fi romance escapism package.

Here’s a basic rundown of what I liked and what’s going on in this book:
-fated mates
-fun flirting
-stranded on a planet alone together/survival
-virgin hero
-strong, thoughtful, protective, pure and loving hero (he’s basically the best)
-determined and intelligent heroine (dealing with wild circumstance and handling it all rather well)
-insta-love but also waiting if that makes sense

This book was quick and fun and had me wanting a loving alien with a massive…heart now, too ;)

Idk why but somehow I knew from the first moment Beks was mentioned in the first book by Katie that I would love her. AND I DIDDDD!!! Finally had a gut feeling that was right. I loved how her personality wasn’t overdone or obnoxious. She was a flirty, fun, and strong character but it wasn’t cringey or annoying. Lihvan’s a big ole reserved sweetheart😩 I loved them together sm

loved it!

Probably my favorite in this series so far. Lug van is complex and interesting. I am a sucker for a broody male and the forbidden quality of it amps up the fun. Beks is a fun & feisty heroine who isn’t afraid to be feminine. Love that. Satisfying read.
