My friend was murdered by a ruthless killer. My soul was crushed with the weight of the world. My body had endured an explosion. My brain left to deal with the aftershock. My heart longed for one thing. The only person able to fix me. The only person I couldn’t have. The only person saving my life.
International Bestselling author Jaycee Ford grew up chasing street cars around the city of New Orleans. After doing a four year stint at Louisiana State University, she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in History and fled for the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. New Orleans beckoned her home again where she put her love of the foothills into a series of romance novels. In between writing, she’s found behind her desk at a top rated law firm … or still chasing street cars.
I need to know "who done it!" I am sitting on the edge of my seat, my skin is crawling. I am having a series case of the heby jebies (sp???). I need the next installment and the next and the next...
This is not a stand alone. This is a great example of what I consider a true series. Each book builds onto the previous story and creates a bridge onto the next. I don't usually like cliff hangers but this one is an exception to the rule. Just as the killer is getting increasingly more detailed, more violent, the series grows more detailed, more extensive, more suspenseful, just more. I can't wait for more.
The criminal situations had me wanting me to lock my door. The OH WOW moments had me shaking my head in shock and awe. The romance was a beautiful balance to the ugliness that is happening in a small town U.S.A..
Who needs C.S.I, Criminal Minds, or any of the other Crime series when I can read the Spider Series?
