I'm sorry, I was excited about this one but ... I actually don't think it was really ready for publication. And the romance (sub)plot really took up too much of it and I found it pretty dull. I expected a darker, more folkloric tale. I think there was a great idea there, but not completely well executed. Definitely needed a much stronger edit or three.
