These men of Ladder 71 just keep getting hotter and hotter. First we were introduced to Cage, then we learned Finn's story and now it's time for our sexy county boy Hunter. The man that has witnessed his friends and brothers find happiness and fall in love doesn't see himself following that path and settling down after his previous experiences. Lola falls into Hunter unexpectedly and things take off from there. You know how everyone has a past and some are worse then others, well Lola's one will have you gasping while Hunter's will break your heart. We're given a bit of everything throughout the book and it all flows seamlessly together. Gerdie will have you cracking up repeatedly and if you're like me you'll be seeing red when it comes to Poppy & Seth. Hunter and Lola deliver some steamy sex scenes that will have you squirming in your seat they're connection is that hot. Dee Ellis is having me fall harder and harder with each of these books, Hunter and Lola's story had me in tears with both laughter and sadness throughout then the twist that will leave your jaw dropped. When you feel as though these characters truly exist in life you know the author is pouring their heart and soul into their work. This is my unbiased and voluntary review.

Yessss Lola and Hunter are so perfect for each other. These two broken people who's running away from their past found safety in each other. This couple definitely my fav couple from Dee Ellis and this book is my fav from this series. It's sweet, cheesy, full of love with a hint of suspense. Although I kinda hope for more actions and kinda felt a bit rushed at the end, I really enjoying reading this one and with that sweet beautiful thing happened in the end (you need to read it to find out), I love this book.
I was excited with this one, because I like Lola from the previous book. She's a bright colorful girl with some mystery around her. I love the way the author keeps me wondering what happened in Lola's past.
As for Hunter, he's a sweet southern gentleman and he's a firefighter, so what's not to love. And with that possessiveness, I really love him.
If you love sweet book with a hint of suspense and hot firefighter, this one is for you.

Holy hotness!!! This book is appropriately titled. It was scorching! Who doesn't love a sexy, hot, passionate, possessive, and protective fireman, who is not only a sweetheart but incredibly talented between the sheets? ;) I admit to having many blushing moments.
Burn For Me is book three in this series. In my opinion, the author's talent grew and developed with each book. I feel guilty admitting this but Hunter is my new favorite. That says a lot because I flove Finn Cooper! We met Finn in book one, Let It Burn, which is Cage's story, then got to know more of him in his own, book 2 Burn It Down.
Hunter never thought he'd find a woman who made him burn with unrelenting desire. For years, he's sworn off relationships and only sates is sexual appetites with one-nighters. But when he meets Lola, Hunter wonders if he can change. Or if he even wants to. Watching his friends fall in love and find their soul mates only adds to his loneliness. Hunter is longing for love but doesn't trust in it.
Lola is an independent, sassy, intelligent, and talented young woman. Lola is also very cautious, wary and guarded when it comes to letting people close. Her past was horrific, disturbing, and heartbreaking. I don't blame Lola one single bit for being selective with who'll she allow to befriend her. Surprisingly when she meets Hunter, she slowly allows the walls around her heart start to crumble and fall.
Hunter and Lola are drawn to each other. As a reader I was feeling every emotion between them. Their sexual chemistry is scorching; their individual attempts to keep each other at a distance were an epic fail. When Lola and Hunter gave in to their desire for each other, it was off the charts sexy and erotic. Hot, hot, hot!
I didn't only feel the chemistry between them. I felt their connection, their undeniable love for one another. Hunter and Lola were connected by their souls. They were truly meant to be together. This book will take you on an emotional roller coaster. Hold on to your heart!
There is a dark shadow hanging around, dangerously close. The suspense in this book had me in a panic. And when that conflict finally peaked, I nearly had a heart attack! I won't give you details but I will say the author will pull you up then tear you down. There are twists and turns. There is suspense and danger. The emotions are very high.
Thankfully, when you reach the end, you'll swoon and sigh. I am confident you will be head over heels for Hunter Byrne. You will also adore Lola.
I absolutely cannot wait for the next book in the Burn Series. There is still one fireman at Ladder 71 that is in need of a HEA.
Burn For Me can be read as a standalone however characters from the previous books are present throughout Hunter and Lola's story, lending their love and support. I recommend you read those book as well, before or after. You won't be sorry.

Daaaaaaaaaammmmmmn....Dee has smashed it with this book. I know it's not fair to pick favorites but Hunter and Lola are legit #CouplesGoals. Hunter is just an absolute bad boy who has the biggest heart and shlong...and boy does he know how to use it. He knows exactly what he wants and it is that love and attitude that gets him, Lola. Lola Von...she is just too awesome for words, I love her spunk and how unapologetic that she is, she has all this light that is trying to be overshadowed by the dark but her love and friendships are what are keeping her afloat. Dee had me captivated from the start with Lola and Hunter both having such hard pasts, this story took me on an emotional roller coaster that I was not anticipating. The drama, the intrigue, the heartbreak, the love and boy, oh boy, the sex was off the charts!! This is definitely the steamiest novel of the series and I devoured it like it was nobodys business. I look forward to seeing what Dee will be doing for the next book in this series, I have a sneaky suspicion that this won't be the last of the boys since there is still Levi ;)

There is no doubt about it, I think these Ladder 71 guys start as many fires in your lady bits as they put out on the job.
Hunter & Lola’s story has all the trademarks we’ve come to love from The Burn Series reads. With Hunter we get our sexy & delicious, filthy talking, secretly sweet as hell hero, and with Lola we get a bright, sweet, loyal & fierce heroine.
They’re both a little dinged up & gun shy due to a failed past relationship; both bring baggage to the table, but together their chemistry is undeniable and their connection irrefutable. I liked both characters immediately, and having had little snippets of them in books one & two, I easily engaged with their story & cheered for their HEA.
There’s plenty of the scorching heat & steamy sex that’s synonymous with a Burn Series book, along with the just for them pet names & symbolistic iconography that weaves through their story & leaves you with a case of the #CoupleGoalSwoons.
Equally sweet as it is deliciously erotic, there’s also plenty of action& suspense with the author giving us another multilayered, unfolding plot that will keep you guessing & eagerly turning pages.
Getting updates and snippets on past characters, along with some next book teasing hints is just one of the many advantages of reading a series in order, and this book delivered in spades.
Can’t wait to head back to Ladder 71 for book four, Slow Burn.

I have been impatiently waiting for Hunter and Lola's story since Finn and Gigi came out...and let me say, it was so effin' worth the wait! "Put a bible in front of me, I'll swear on that shit."
While this can be read as a HEA, I am one to read the series. We all started falling in love with the firefighters of Ladder 71 in Let it Burn when we met Cage and Charli. We fell a little more when we read about Finn and Gigi in Burn it Down but....damn, Dee absolutely had a 5 alarm fire going on in Burn For Me.
Hunter and Lola are two souls fated to be together. Two broken souls that see the imperfections in one another and fall for one another as is...with no expectation from one another to have them somehow heal all the damage from the past.
While reading their story, you cannot help but feel a raw and honest emotion. You feel like you are growing with them as the novel progresses. You feel like you are learning what they are learning. You feel what they are feeling.
My absolute favorite line in this novel:
"I was damaged. Imperfect. But I was not ruined."

Dee Ellis knocked this book way out of the ball park! I loved Hunter and Lola! So much intensity and chemistry between them, I'm surprised my kindle didn't "burn" up! They were a couple that you constantly cheer for and want them both to have a happily ever after. Both couples go through dark and difficult pasts and the darkness of Lola's back history was so dark and insane! My heart broke for her and her past, I was biting my nails when her past comes back and more secrets come to light. The story wrapped up so beautifully and perfectly! Hunter Byrne is my fave of this series!

I love this series. I mean hot firemen who love their women with all their heart, what's not to love?!?! This is Hunter and Lola's story. We've meet these characters in the previous books and we've grown to love them and want their story. Dee does not disappoint with this one. These two are meant to be together, but they are both haunted by their past. They've both been hurt, just in different ways. Can these two get past everything and find a way to come together? Without giving away the story these two are F-ed up! Their story has so much sadness and suspense that you are kept on the edge of your seat. I devoured the book and couldn't believe the twist and turns within the story. I LOVED this book, and it's my new favorite Dee Ellis novel! Of course that's until she gives us Brynn and Levi's story, which I'm praying is next in the Burn Series. Fingers Crossed!
This book is one sale now, and is a must read! The whole series is! If you love a good romance, with a bit of suspense, real characters, and hot as F firefighters, then you MUST read this series!

I love how this book helps us learn a lot more about Hunter and Lola, and boy, oh boy, they do not disappoint! While they are totally awesome and fit in perfectly with the others from the series, they are completely different people whose story is very different from the others, and I love it!! Hunter is an total HOTTIE...perfect alpha fireman that will make your insides light up big time!! Lola is a little firecracker...strong, mouthy, gorgeous, and 100% unique! This book ticked all the boxes. Love, romance, alpha, suspense, mystery, hot sex...it did it all. I think this is the best book in the series by far and Ellis' writing has only gotten better! Good job with this book and it's a definite must read.

Bring on the heat! This book and these firefighters are scorching hot! I loved Hunter and Lola together. I really liked how Hunter and Lola were burned in past relationships and the two found comfort in one another. Loved reading about these two and getting to know their back stories. And let's not forget the sexy scenes! Loved that fire truck scene!!! As a fan of the series, I loved that as the reader we get to see what the other characters in the series are up to as well. Another great read by Dee Ellis!

Omg I wanted so long for this book. I have read read the first 2 books and I fell in love. Here she goes again! I couldn't put it down at all cuz I wanted more and more, wanted everything. I love reading about Fireman! This book was right there with it. It remind me of a show I love so much call Chicago Fire. With the sexy guys and beautiful lady. Hunter to me is my Chicago Fire sexy man. Hot and Sexy! 🔥🔥🔥
I went crazy on the sex scene wishing it was me on the sheets. I'm telling you I was Lola in bed with Hunter. Know who doesn't want a sexy Hunter in there life. What a Rollercoaster this story was it had me on Fire. I so badly need a cold shower after this book. What a great story it was! Other great job Dee Ellis did! I highly recommend everybody read this book. But also read Book #1 and Book #2. It will have tou hooked from the beginning to the end. Every Page, Every Chapter you gonna be hooked! I have been a huge fan of this series and this book is top on the list. In the words of Lola this book is totally ooey gooey. Burn For Me has everything you could ever want in a book - drama, suspense, secrets, mystery and some good old fashioned hot loving. Hunter and Lola burn up the pages in this book and will at times have your heart breaking from what they have both suffered in their pasts. In all good romances there always has to be a hero and Hunter is that and so much more. This man wants nothing more than to be her protector and her safe place. Their story is one of those that you never want to end as these characters bind themselves to you and your heart. If I haven't convinced you yet to read this book then I will leave you with these final words, Hunter is not only a firefighter but he is a cowboy, enough said.

Wowza!! I've never read a firefighter romance as hot as the ones Dee Ellis writes! You better read this one in installments or you just might get burned from all the heat! Seriously, I almost died reading this from the heat these two generated to the heart dropping suspense and mystery.

Burn For Me is book three in the series. It was emotional at times. I really liked it. I loved Lola and Hunter. They had such amazing chemistry and connection. Not to mention the scorching sexy scenes!! Loved them together.

Perhaps my current favorite of the Burn series (waiting to see what happens with #4!). The plot twist took me completely by surprise and I loved the perseverance Hunter showed in pursuing Lola.

Highly recommend the re-release of Lola and Hunter's story. Definitely a page turner.
Lola and Hunter, two beautifully broken people that find a love that is beyond words. Lola is hiding from a past that still haunts her. Hunter's ex-wife broke his heart so now he just seeks the temporary comfort of badge bunnies. Together they have obstacles to overcome to get to their HEA. This story was romantic, steamy and had me turning pages to learn all the secrets. There were times when I felt my heart hurting for things that were done to Lola and Hunter. So good and highly recommend Dee's Burn Series.
