Whitney Brookes needs a fresh beginning, so when she finds out that a long-lost relative who has died has left her ranch to her she jumps at the chance, but it's full of tiny critters that she has no idea how to take care of.

Enter Nate Caldwell.

He's not sure he wants to help out Whitney Brookes and her twin daughters, Sophia and Olivia because he's been burned before. Alicia his former wife, who like Whitney is from the city, he's hoping that his heart won't get involved this time. But between falling in love with her twin daughters, Nate is pretty much doomed to fall in love with Whitney too. Not only is she beautiful, but she is also everything his ex-wife wasn't.

I really liked Twins for the Cowboy, it was a tiny bit hokey for my taste but not enough to stop reading it! The story keep moving at a great pace, the characters were well portrayed, and the family and community aspect was well represented too.

Usually not into Christian Fiction, but a book friend recommended this series because I love books with kids, aka single parent books. Very hapy I took the recommendation and tried this author, Linda Goodnight.

I loved this book. Whitney Brookes is a single mom to toddler twin girls and down on her luck when a surprise inheritance offers her a chance to make her life and more importantly, the lives of her two daughters more stable, secure. A city girl will now try to make a go of it being a country girl.

Nate Caldwell was born and bred a rancher on the Triple C ranch with two brothers and a sister. When he happens upon his new neighbor, who falls at his feet, she strike mixed feelings within him. She asks for help but the last thing he needs is to be pulled in by another city girl, who will just leave like the last one. Only this time he cant fight.

Slowly the two grow close. He falls in love with her two toddler daughters, Sophie and Olivia, but someone isnt happy about her being here and is making that very clear...to her.

Will she be run off for the safety of her daughters, herself, of Nate? Time will tell.

Nate and Whitney

Whitney has inherited a farm from a relative she never knew. All the animals are miniatures and she doesn't know how to take care of them. She needed to find someone to help her. She has to stay on the property for a year and show a profit or it reverts to other living relative. She has twin daughters who she wants to be able to provide a good life.
Nate is the part owner of the ranch next door and stops by to introduce himself to his new neighbor. He is surprised by the young lady and her two girls. Sparks fly but they have been hurt and are not looking for a relationship. Nate offers to help her understand how to take care of her animals. Feelings become involved and who could resist those sweet twins.
A Christian story that will warm your heart.

Ironic, poignant, and heartwarming depicting the true meaning of Christian love and family despite all its dysfunction. Whitney and her baby twin daughters need a new start in life, so when a long lost relative leaves her a ranch full of small scale animals, it seems to be an answer to a prayer. She has to make this work, for at least a year, otherwise the ranch will fall to another relative. Only problem: she doesn't have a clue what to do with the critters and how to work a ranch.
Nate, divorced from a city girl some time ago, had his heart broken one too many times. He's working his family's ranch together with his brother, and he's certain city girl Whitney will leave soon, seeing as she doesn't have a clue what she's doing. Only problem is, Whitney and her little girls sneak their way into his heart.
A heartwarming Christian story, written with a lot of humour and compassion, this will captivate any reader. The characters are sympathetic (Nate comes over as a pushover a bit, though), and quite realistic in their actions and interactions with each other. The growing attraction between Nate and Whitney (and the misunderstandings) made me smile, and groan, and hoping.
The "side characters" as well are well developed and have a surprising depth (with enough hints about their own problems promising some more lovely books about the Triple C Ranch in the future!).
In short, I loved this book and cannot wait to get my hands on the other books in this series.

I received this free e-book from Amazon and I am voluntarily writing a review. Whitney is a single mother of twin toddler girls living in a homeless shelter. She is notified by an attorney of an aunt she did not know that she has inherited a 40 acre ranch in Oklahoma complete with miniature livestock. There is a catch, she has to live on the ranch, care for all the animals without losing any and show a profit for a year before it is hers. She does not know a thing about animals or ranching but with no where else to go and a God given gift lands in her lap there isn't much of a decision. Enter the single hunky rancher next door neighbor Nate that after a lot of convincing agrees to teach her about taking care of her ranch and her miniature livestock. This book was so good and had a mix of a little of everything in it.

Twins For The Cowboy by Linda Goodnight is a clean western romance. Ms Goodnight has supplied us with a well-written book and gets an A+ from me for her amazing characters. Whitney is the single mom of twins and has been left a ranch full of mini animals. Nate is her new neighbor that is helping her learn how to care for her animals. There is plenty of drama, suspense, humor and just a touch of spice to keep readers engaged in this story. This book is safe for any age. I enjoyed Twins For The Cowboy and would gladly read more from Linda Goodnight in the future. Twins For The Cowboy is book 1 of the Triple C Cowboys Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliff-hanger.

New Beginnings

This is a sweet romance interlaced with both a mystery and suspense. Whitney is a strong woman who has learned from her past mistakes and is growing in her faith. She receives an inheritance that takes this city girl to the heart of the country and a ranch filled with animals. She feels this is her last chance to make a life for her children. To say she was stepping out of her comfort zone would be an understatement. She admits readily that she has no idea what to do, but wants to learn. Meeting Nate, a strong and rugged cowboy who lives next door, she finds a part of her heart that was missing. Unfortunately, someone doesn't want her to meet the terms of her inheritance and the mystery and suspense is on.

Too much

I am a Christian, and am not ashamed of the Gospel. I like Christian romances, and good moral stories. This one though, just took a poker, and beat me over the head with it. If I'm reading a romance, I'm not usually in the mood for an extended Sunday School lesson.
Generally speaking, people don't discuss their faith in God, and Jesus doesn't come up in every single conversation.
I appreciate the writers faith, as I am thankful for my own. It just could have been toned down a lot, and I mean a lot, and still got the point across.

No Fainting Matter

Loved this story of Nate, Whitney, Olivia, and Sofia. Nate is a gentleman of a cowboy and Whitney has enough grit and fortitude to push through lots of baggage and trust the Lord for her future . This book will make you laugh, cry, be angered, and in suspense. It was difficult to put down. The cowboys, Ace, Nate, Emily, and Connie are family and all band together when Whitney and her twins are threatened. Linda Goodnight does a great job putting in the Gospel message.

Never lose hope

Whitney unexpectedly inherited a farm with numerous miniature animals. The stipulation was she successfully tens the farm and animals for one year.. or lose it all. This was quite challenging for a city girl. Whitney's boyfriend deserted her when she told him she was pregnant with twin girls. With her ownership of the farm, she realized she needed help and quickly. Her neighboring farm, Mate, agreed to help her learn farming ways. Will it be enough to save her farm?

Which he ends up teaching her how to take care of the animals. Have 2 little girls wiggled their way into the cowboys heart.

Sweet trouble times three

Nate had no idea how his life would be challenged and changed after he helped the young woman up after she does a face plant on the road in front of his pickup truck. His new neighbor is nothing but trouble, but her twin girls steal his heart and so does their mommy. Someone evil is trying to destroy their lives and love, but their Lord has other plans for their future.

I could not finish this story, so this rating is based on how far I had gotten, which is 45%. I just could not get into it like I wanted to. This was a very "clean" romance and this author mentioned religion a lot and I come to read about love, fantasy, and I come to escape. The overuse of religion just turned me off and the major use of inner monologue. The characters talked more to themselves than each other. I just could not take it anymore. Don't judge me.

Cowboys and Redemption

Nothing gets me quite like a good redemption story! Seeing how Christ changes lives and brings beauty from ashes is the hallmark of this book! Whitney fights for a new life on the ranch a distant relative leaves her without any clue what she’s doing. Nate can’t help but be her knight in armor while she learns the ropes and ties him in knots. Watching this family find each other through hardship was a joy! Can’t wait for the next one!

Funny, sweet Christian Romance with a little mystery

I loved the miniature farm animals. Also the two main characters having so much in common in matters of the heart. The twins are adorable! There was just enough action & mystery to give the story that "something extra" to keep me from putting down the book till I wad too sleepy to read any more. 😀 This author is so gifted..I hope to read more of her books. I enjoyed every page!

Love a good country story with a big ranch and lots of ranch hands and family members running the ranch. Nate gets more than he bargains for when Whitney shows up to inherit her Aunt's farm (which Nate refers to as the little toys because the animals are miniatures). She enlists Nate's aide to teach a city girl how to farm. He is smitten by Whitney and her adorable two and a half year old twin girls. How they fall in love and spend time together is definitely a chick flick story.

A good read!

I read the description and it sounded like a great book, I didn't catch on that it was a Christian book until I started to read it. I'm not really religious but it was a great book and I can't wait to read the other two books. Whitney is a very strong person that completely changed her life. I loved it.

Great clean romance with mystery thrown in. Really enjoyed seeing Whitney and Nate find each other and the smiles the twins, Olivia and Sophia, cause. Whitney showed courage in taking on the farm with the young twins and also with calling her parents after they had become estranged. Prayers help hard times and this story shows it.

Loved this book!

I truly enjoyed this story and loved the characters. The storyline was a little different in that she inherited from someone she I'd not know. Also what she inherited was very unusual to me. But I loved hr determination to make a go of this challenge. Looking forward to book 2.

Double trouble!

This is an entertaining read...mystery and whodunit wrapped up with cowboy romance and hilarious animal antics. The redemption theme running through this book is really well done and believable for a fiction story. And who knew there was such a thing as Fainting Goats!

Pleasant Surprise

I was only expecting a sweet cowboy romance but got suspense too. I enjoyed how Ms. Goodnight let the reader really see each of these characters (Whitney and Nate) and their relationship develop. It wasn’t rushed. I also liked how she set us up with a little back story on the siblings. I’m already smitten with the Caldwell clan. I can’t wait for book 2
