We're living a Myth, right now. Maybe always have been. That all the madness happening in the world around us, is part of. Trump, Putin, 9/11 -- it's all there. Yet, it's a Myth we know nothing about. A Sacred Story that began, all the way back, in the beginning. A love story. In its final stages. Screaming for our attention. For anyone wondering, what the hell is going on out there? Ladies & Gentlemen, your wake-up call. Answer it.
This book was quite different to what I expected. The author is from a Jewish background, trained as a lawyer and also had a career in screenwriting. One day she had a revelatory experience with God which led her to make a deep study of the Bible and of various biblical commentators and theologians. This, as she explains, is a big thing as she was not even a practising Jew. Her own life circumstances are interlaced with this pivotal event and are written powerfully like a fictional story. Dealing with unemployment, difficult relationships and a severely autistic son, she applied her Bible studies to her own life and came up with an interesting theory about the Garden of Eden and Adam and Eve's banishment from it. She also read widely on the topics of creation, human behaviour and psychology. If you ever wonder about why we are here, our connection to God (or any higher being) and our place in the world, you will probably find this an intriguing read. When I finished it I immediately read it all through again - something I have never done before.
I was introduced to this writer a few years ago, while on one of my journeys in nature with 'My Appa' God The Father. We happened to pass one another, smile, and say hi. From there, we ended up chatting. What seemed like just a few moments, we realised to be a few hours, and she asked me to read her manuscript. I was honoured. I did and suggested that she publish.
I've owned her book for a few years now, but I have been on my own spiritual journey, as well as a sabbatical of sorts. Still am, so it has taken me a while to finally have the mindset to read her book. So today I decided to read it. I have another author who would like me to read her book, but I felt that I had to keep a promise I made those few years ago first.
I began reading about 2p.m. this afternoon, and except for stopping to drink water and to prepare meals, I couldn't put it down! It's now 10p.m. Though I read the manuscript and loved it, the finished published book is truly an inspirational masterpiece. The way the author pens her journey through an intricate weave of love, heartbreak, excitement, and just pure beauty. As I wrote in the beginning, we met as I myself have been on my own spiritual journey; so her book is one that touched me deeply.
The love for her beautiful, talented, and amazing son, Rio. The journey through relationships ending, being discovered, and a desire to know God at such a loving and welcoming place within. I am forever grateful that I have the blessing, privilege, and honour of the gift of this author, her journey, and her book forever, a part of my knowing.
The love she has for her heart, "her beloved precious son Rio", and how it transcends to a place with God, that helps this amazing young man with autism, bloom, and blossom to a talented, articulate, force of goodness: what a wonderful testimony of God moving, AMEN! This book was a beautiful BLESSING and treasure to behold.
