THE COMPLETE SERIES. 5 books and NO cliffhangers! Book 1: Pipe Down There’s nothing like meeting a really terrific woman on board a luxurious yacht travelling through the Aleutian Islands. Brooke is beautiful, talented, and fun to be around. She’s everything a guy like me could want. At least that would be true if I wasn’t lying to her because I’m currently on an undercover mission for the US Coast Guard. As if that wasn’t bad enough, I’m supposed to just stand by and let those modern day pirates try to raid the yacht. That’s why I’m here. This chartered cruise ship is a potential target, and the passengers are just bait. Too bad I can’t see Brooke as just another passenger. Not anymore. Book 2: Over a Barrel There is nothing about the phrase being captured by pirates that sounds normal in this day and age. Unfortunately for me, that’s exactly what’s going on here. Add in a fierce storm, a sinking cruise ship, and we pretty much have the makings of a dramatic made for TV film. It’s true. We even have a drop dead gorgeous lady pirate named Jade who is the sexiest antihero I’ve ever seen. I know she’s not like the rest. She’s already saved my skin too many times for that. But Jade isn’t just an unusual pirate, she’s an unusual woman. And no matter how this whole adventure turns out, hers is the story I want to follow. Book 3: Toe the Line I thought I had everything under control when I went aboard the Inuit Cruiser to take charge after the storm put the ship on the rocks. But about the time I start handing out the orders and trying to put things to rights, out walks Grace Morgan and all of a sudden I am a bumbling eighteen year old once again. The woman is even more beautiful now than she was on the day we divorced. The sexual tension is so thick it’s practically suffocating, and even my men are starting to notice. But Grace has changed. And the more we try to unravel this whole pirate plot to hold her and her son for ransom, the more I realize I’m going do to anything I can to keep her safe. Book 4: Loose Cannon I’ve always done my duty for the Coast Guard. That’s why I’m a Chief Petty Officer. But right now I feel like our whole unit is off course and headed nowhere fast. My task? I’m supposed to watch the former head of security for the cruise ship because my commanding officer has put her in jail. The thing is, I just don’t think this is where Liane belongs. And it has nothing to do with how gorgeous she is. Well mostly nothing. People don’t see Liane the way they should. She’s tough as nails and she’s hiding some things that I think will shock us all. But without trust I’ll never learn those secrets until it’s too late. Book 5: Hand Over Fist Miranda Cray has never done anything to deserve the bad reputation that seems to follow her like lint. The girl lost her father while at sea during a storm. I think everyone is entitled to a little bit of crazy after that happens. But the thing with Miranda is, she’s not the kind of woman to get knocked down without getting right back up again. That’s what I respect about her. When these pirate jerks find some new way to bend the law, Miranda is the first person to come up with a way to get in their faces and make the charges stick. She’s brave. She’s pretty as hell. And I’m almost certain that I’m in love with her. The problem is, I’m not the kind of guy that does long term relationships that that’s what Miranda deserves. Maybe this is where I need to step up and find a way to make it work before she’s lost to me for good.
Who is reading these books and giving them five stars???? We must have been reading different books or they didn't really read it. These books are bull crap so spare yourselves. The author didn't know what she was talking about and just put I'm some very detailed sex during times where people should have been scared and running for their lives. She didn't do any research on military, coast guards or climates. Who is in one of the coldest waters in the world and acting like they are in a heated pool?? Omg having my dad, uncles, brother and most of my friends be military and knowing a few members of an a actual coast guard this pissed me off. Most authors do research and ask questions but this one didn't. I'm pretty sure google could have helped. I feel dumber for reading this and couldn't finish the last few the first two were enough for me. There isn't enough patience in the world!! I'm glad for kindle unlimited because its not worth it.
The story line in this book was interesting. I felt like the author just threw sex scenes at random places which usually did not make sense for that particular scene. Action sequences which required trips into the icy waters, would have ended with the swimmers in hypothermia. I did not feel like the books were well researched. Also, each book ended abruptly and awkward.
If you know anything about the Coast Guard. The author should have had someone who knew about it edit the book. The author didn't even have the correct grades and ranks of the CG members. Her erotic scenes were written well but the rest was pure drama that would never happen in today's fifth military service.
This box set is based on a family that was out on a rich cruise to Alaska for a " family reunion" except not everything was what it appeared. Then everything turned upside down when pirates came on. Mostly everyone on the cruise had a speciality to keep everyone on alive and ways to capture the bad. I couldn't put this box set down!!
This is a 5 book collection and I stopped halfway through book one. The story was unbelievable and poorly researched. It felt like the author started in the middle of the storyline, there was no supportive background to the characters. The graphic sex scenes were poorly written and to long for the beginning of a book.
This was a great story line, but I was very disappointed in the editing. How could they put a book on the market with enough editing mistakes to confuse the reader in a single paragraph? If not for the editing mist I would have rated it a 5.
Great integration of each story line into one story
I loved the way the story continued to twist and each new story line was intertwined with the entire story. I would have liked to have a bit more closure with the other characters.
Maybe if the author had a better knowledge of military ranking it would have been better. Seriously?! A 46 yr old career Coastie and still only an Ensign??!
